SGDQ 2015 - Minecraft All Achievements by Fearful Ferret

Alright, this is Minecraft and you guys were generous enough to honor all the achievement incentives so I can play probably one of the most complex speedruns I do. It is definitely the most complex category in Minecraft, at least for Vanilla. You have to do a lot of things and go to a lot of places and things like that, so I'll start in a world with a set seed, so this is the C that we'll use, so it'll be the same world every time I can take the same route through everything, so I don't have to constantly adapt to a completely new world because that would take many, many extra hours.

Also, I'm going to activate the cheats. I don't plan to use them, but there are many. things in this run that I can forget and since I'll be doing tons of comments and a very complex run, I can easily forget to pick up an item and then 25 minutes later realize I really needed it and then there's just no backup strategy and I want to have a chance to be able to finish the race instead of just mercy killing her, so if I forget something, if something goes really wrong or something, I can use cheats to give me any items that I forgot or couldn't.

I managed to make rng but I don't plan to use it. I really hope I don't have to, but there is a backup to ensure this race is safe for a marathon; otherwise I think everything else is fine so 'let's spawn the world we'll call it save the animals' because I'm a

I have that timer running in the background. I don't think you can see it. It appears at the top of the tree, so it's always fun before the race starts. I'm going to change the difficulty to hard, you have to do it. keep the difficulty the same for the entire run, that's just one of the rules of Minecraft speedrunning, so I'm going to go ahead and lock it. The reason we run hard is that it makes it easier to get an achievement later and because you get all the diamond armor and diamond weapons and notched apples and stuff, you don't really have to worry about taking damage, so that the additional heart damage doesn't matter real quick, I'm just going to check this out to make sure everything is okay and visible.

Like okay so we're ready to go as soon as I log out and then the time will start and I have this timer here so I'm going to take care of that so three two one yeah okay so here's my ecology. I'm going to start by punching a tree because, after all, this is Minecraft. I also have a

It's really cute, so there aren't a lot of individual tricks that are hard to do, so just so you guys know when to clap every time I get hit. achievement, it's probably a good idea to clap because those things are difficult, yes, so they spoil the night, yes, yes, I successfully looked at my inventory and now I'm going to collect some wood, yes, what's more, yes, yes, like this that many of the first

are super easy. to start by looking in your inventory and collecting wood and then crafting some wooden tools, so it won't be difficult to get them, but many of the later ones are of course much more difficult.

I'm going to use glitches to do some things that you wouldn't normally see in Minecraft and this one only works in single player but it also works in any patch. I guess they never patched it because it only works in single player and you can use creative anyway, so no one cared about the way you do it, throwing a bunch of objects on the ground, whatever you want. to duplicate and then you save and exit the world like I'm going to do right here, so you can exit and then reload the world and then when the world comes back you want to grab the items and right after they hit your inventory, I want to press Alt F4 to close the game and by doing so when you reload the world it tries to reconstruct what your world was like because it couldn't save properly so it looks when you press Alt F4 to see what was in your inventory but then it looks like when you actually saved the world to see what items were still on the ground and that makes items appear in both places, so you just duplicate everything you dropped.

I'm going to wear quite a few looks during the first one. half the way through or so because I'm going to pick up like a diamond and then duplicate it until I get a full set of diamond armor etc so it's a very useful thing, plus the ships break very easily and that's really annoying , so here I need to find some flints there is a 10% chance for each gravel block that is broken. I have it. I have two of them on seven blocks, so that's very lucky. I need one of the flints to be able to make flint and steel.

I'll use it to burn some cows very soon and I also need flint and steel to activate the ax and other portals which I'll use quite liberally throughout the room to get around the next objective will be to kill a chicken. It's not really an achievement, but I need the feathers to create some places where the chickens are. I'm here, although there are some where I unfortunately ran out of food. Once your hunger drops to three, you can no longer run, and running is a good thing in sprinting. come back here, yeah I got the second feather so now I can duplicate that feather to as many as I need to make a bunch of arrows and the next objective is to burn a cow, yeah save the animals, not right now okay, so burning a cow gives you only the cooked steak because when a cow is on fire it just drops the perfectly cooked steak.

It's great. I also got a rank, so yeah, that's the achievement for collecting leather from a dead cow and now I've done everything I needed to. Do it over here, so steak will be my main meal for the next 10 minutes or so. It's probably one of the most efficient first foods you can get, so by far the hardest achievement to get is Adventure Time, and that requires you to visit. In every biome in the game there are some that aren't tracked, like the ice spikes and the chasm and such, but most of them are, so a big part of this route is just moving around and traveling to all the corners. of this world to visit and count biomes such as mushroom island in the most remote ones right now.

I'm going to the desert hills biome. I'm going to open this f3 menu, the debug menu, it's pretty useful on all achievements because it shows you what biome you're in. You're in and at the bottom right the third alignment and it also shows you your coordinates and where you're looking and I'm going to need those coordinates to get to some very specific places later on so conveniently there's a desert temple here if I can . stepping on the middle block would really die so I'm not going to do that and I got 2 gold. I got a saddle which I will need for an achievement later and I also got diamonds and I'm going to start doubling. that diamond very soon to get everything I need let's head this way.

I'm going, there's a lava pit over here and you need obsidian to start creating other portals, so I'll put some water in and that's it. Give me all the obsidian I need, although I need to mine it first. Don't put the crafting bench in place. Okay, it's over, are you happy? Yes, I'm happy, thank you. Okay, so we'll start creating arrows and then. I'm just going to do a bunch of duplications, so I need more arrows. I need more crafting tables for wood, iron, diamonds, gold status and I think that's it so I'm going to double my way up to a full set of diamond gears as well as a bunch of obsidian I don't even remember what youtuber it was someone tell me these diamonds, yes, diamonds, yes, I redid it.

of normal I also know well now that I have eight diamonds I have enough left over to start making the diamond pickaxe and that will give me my first block of obsidian that there is lava below and most of these obsidian blocks because the water only removed the top layer of lava, but there is one block I know here that actually has solid soil underneath so I can dig it out without falling into lava and just dying of absence, it's It takes a long time to extract it and you have to place a lot throughout the races in this place and it can be quite a waste of time because you have to take many seconds to extract it. faster, I plan to just start making more money and getting other seizures, so yeah, it's 15 seconds per obsidian lock, there are many routes that lead you to try to get all the items you need and as few seizures as possible, so there are quite a few places where I'm going to duplicate my way up to about half the number of duplicates I need to do for a particular element and then continue executing and then Duke that element later as well. so I'm trying to duplicate it as little as possible, although given how few items you get naturally and how many you need, there will be quite a bit of duplication.

The nether is a very useful area for this speed run because, first of all, it has a number of things you need to do to complete the achievements, but it is also a very useful method of transportation. The way another works in Minecraft is that for every eight blocks you travel in the abyss, for every block you travel in another, you travel eight blocks in the overworld, so if you make a portal in the overworld and then you make a portal.

In another 20 blocks away you will have traveled 160 blocks in the overworld, so if you need to travel a long distance, doing it through the abyss is a very, very efficient way to do it, so I'm going to do my first one by modifying other portals here, which is created by creating a 2x3 area in case of obsidian like this and let's go yeah, I have to pause here just so the nether loads correctly. Few things where is my steak is due to the way items are added to your inventory. It's very, very random, so I can't always assume that my steak will be in the top right corner of my inventory and stuff like that. So quite often I'll have to just look around and try to figure out where things ended up in my inventory. Good inventory management is definitely one of the hardest things to learn for speedrunning where you spend a lottime. looking for things the first few times you're in it and I even have to take the time to look around if I'm doing some particularly complicated crafting, so now I need to kill a fire and get a fire rod, there's a fire generator.

Up there I hope this guy gives me what I need although, oh yeah, this guy is way in my way and he's also falling behind, oh dear, there's some lava that's not good, this isn't the right hallway yet, so I'm going to have to break my Actually I'm going to use crafting tables, I mean when you can duplicate items with what you use to join it doesn't really matter. I could have just used gold bricks. That would have been fine, so now I need to do this in a very specific location to create another portal. If you do these and just in the wrong location, you can end up pretty far off course in the overworld just because there is again a block here.

There are blocks in the overworld so a small mistake in the abyss can be a big mistake when you actually teleport and sometimes the tutorial portal just decides not to teleport you and it's very annoying come on okay sure now I need to pause again. In fact, I need to pause here for quite a while because the world is spawning around me because I'm spawning in an area that hasn't been spawned by the seed yet. I don't believe it. If you exit too quickly, then some of the areas of the world will simply be missing and it will teleport you because it doesn't know where you are, but that works fine, so the purpose of that portal is to take you to the fortress for some reason that I can't actually eat. the steak and I'm very, very good, there go the games, so I need to dig down and this wall and directly below me is a fortress, but since this thing is on a mountain, it's actually very, very down, like this that I need to knock down maybe another 40 blocks so you have time for a couple more donations.

They're all around us now, so he said in a row that we have to go to all the biomes besides the ice spikes for some reason, but I should. So here I need to collect nine pieces of thread to cut it. cobwebs is faster than just duplicating them because this goes pretty fast. I'm going to use the rope later to make wool, a fishing rod, and a bow, then there are a few more things I need in the fortress here, the first being this Ender Pearl. which will be used a lot during the rest of the speedrun, is an item that allows you to teleport, which we will talk about later, so it is very, very useful. The vines don't really matter much because I have diamond armor. so they don't do that much damage so I don't really have to worry about getting shot by anything, the only thing I'm really worried about getting killed is the long falls that can happen sometimes or the explosions on the other side of this wall , about four blocks directly in front of me, there is a chest that has an apple and three of them that will be very useful for creating chapels, not too soon, then here is the portal room, this room is where you arrive. to the end, allowing you to fight the ender dragon and complete the game canonically, but we have to do a lot of crafting first, so I made a wall.

I'm going to make a bow. I'm going to make a fishing rod. Some more achievements. here, so I'm going to make a lovely table that will give us one, wait for it, wait for it, there you go, yeah, one more, one more. Actually, I don't want to create that yet and I have to do it first, so I have to wait. I also looked for it to destroy the silverfish generator, those things are really annoying and have brought down a lot of lava very, very often, it disappears and again I'm going to burn everything that I know I won't need later and when we are.

Yesterday I saw a practice of this with a

In all achievements you can use an ender pearl to teleport, so getting knocked down doesn't matter as much, but getting knocked down does. by the dragon the moment you spawn and the ending can't happen and it's the worst thing that's ever happened so we just hope that doesn't happen.

There's a lot of inventory I have to do here. I spend about three or four minutes. I'm just duplicating items, so if you have anything else you'd like to explain, now's the time, well, like I was saying before about the biomes, you basically don't know for sure which ones you like, you think you've gone to them. but you have to stay in the biomes for a few seconds and sometimes a game might just not register and if it doesn't you have no idea which one you missed so we could be going backwards, we don't know. where I do find the correct biome, the achievement won't appear if you stay in the biomes long enough and it's very annoying because you don't get an achievement for each biome, so you might be missing some random biome and I just don't know which one.

It is and the best part is that it is the last thing that we get and achieve, so the version that I just created is called Golden Apple, but it is actually a top-notch Apple that is slightly different than normal golden apples. I think I also give you regeneration, as well as some minor resistances, and that's done by crafting gold ingots around the block, but I made gold bricks, each of which is made up of nine gold ingots, so I took a total of 81 gold bars to create a single-notch Apple, although of course, duplicating as many iDisk items as you want and not hood gives you a lot of regeneration.

It's regeneration 3, which is basically you instantly regain full health and that allows you to basically not die for anything. It also gives you 100% fire resistance for I think about 3 minutes, so I'm basically going to eat notch apples for the rest of the run, which means if I fall into lava, it's literally just water that's hard to see. because of that fire. stamina and I'll probably end up in love at some point because the abyss is a very dangerous place by the way I need chests yeah forgetting ender's chest is something I do quite often and I should really stop doing it so I'm making some eyes below which I will need to activate this final portal.

I'm fine too. I'm actually going to need to focus here. There are many things I need to do in this area and if I forget something. then chances are good that within 20 minutes I'll realize I forgot that thing. I can't progress anymore, so I have to be very careful to complete the crafting of everything I normally do. You can't do this with notes. even though it takes a lot longer, someone is basically relying on my expertise to make sure I don't miss anything. I'm going to use these iron blocks to make an anvil. I'll try to remember if there's anything else I'm actually going to do. get rid of this water, um, okay, and the sole purpose of that final bill will be to simply round up those two, looting two books, two, looting three, which will be used to get a Withered Skull later in the race, You are also going to see him making a lot of bets and when we reach the end and we will kill the Ender dragon, not with arrows or with a sword, but we will bet maybe a few years to finish them off, in the end we will see that yes, beds are very powerful weapons . kill the ender dragon for free, it's actually quite fun, something you may remember, the trading run of any seed percentage set in agdq2014, which was definitely one of the runs that inspired me to start playing this game, although not I didn't do it until a year after that, at that point, he was pretty much the only Vanilla Minecraft runner, as far as I know, and his time for any percentage of seeds set was, I think, over 15 minutes and the world record for that category is now four minutes and something small. number of seconds so we've improved that route and hugely this game has had such a renaissance in the amount of people playing it and the quality of the routes and all that has been amazing to see so now I've completed most of it of the crafting I'm going to need to do, so I'm just clearing out my inventory to make room for the beds I'll need a little later, so I'll get rid of everything I don't need. let's see and I'm putting all of this in a chest below because when you respond to me at spawn time after this fight is over, I'll be able to drop one of my other chests, my inventory, and have access to all of this. things again, so ender chests are very, very useful for expanding inventory space.

I think that's all. I really need the obsidian back to look pretty good, so now I'll create those beds as soon as I have the wall I put up nicely. here it was okay, it's very easy to lose track of the items again, okay, I think we are ready, so now we are going to complete the final portal by placing Enders' eyes on it and then we will fight the Ender dragon. The Ender Dragon Fight. canonically it's the end point for most speedruns and you make it too, so throughout this entire fight I'm just going to be eating notched apples like there's no tomorrow.

The enemies that populate this area are all Enderman, which don't agree unless you look directly at them. I'm going to look slightly up or down just to make sure I don't accidentally attract unwanted attention. All these things that I'm shooting at our ender crystals heal the ender dragon every time it's near them, you can see it by the The particle effect goes from the crystal to the Dragon itself, so it heals pretty quickly from the ender crystals. nether crystals, so even with bed explosions it heals much faster than you can damage it, so I need to take care of almost all of these crystals.

Before doing anything, also the arrows fall a lot due to gravity, so it's quite difficult to get used to the angle at which you have to shoot to destroy these ender crystals and because this part is very important in basically every race. This is the area that probably takes the most effort to be good at because, if you're competing with a certain percentage of seats, you have to do this fight absolutely perfectly, if you want to get the world record, there's really no margin for error anymore. that the knowledge events, this is a relatively small part of the race, it is not that important that I have a good fight with the dragon, but still it is something that I have worked hard on and I hope we can do well, it is quite difficult to do keep track of which of these uses write in what you don't have just because if they're too far away they won't even show up because they're beyond their rendering distance, so you just have to keep track in your head of which areas you've ended up clearing and which ones you don't have also this is one of the areas that is randomly generated the island I'm on is always the same which was a very good shot I always stay good so yeah all these crystals are in random places.

They have random heights, there are a random amount of ender crystals. I think you can get as little as one or two of these ender crystals either it is extremely rare so this is about an average amount of ender crystals and towers. I don't even know if I already destroyed this view. I can't see it, so once you've destroyed most of them, you look to where the ender dragon is getting help and that tells you whether or not there is another crystal nearby. sort of a backup strategy where you look straight up and have the arrow hit the crystal ax below as the arrows fall, which is the strap I think I invented.

I haven't seen anyone else use it, so now I'll just The bottom crystals I'll probably have to clean a little later, including the one back there that's healing. I'll do it right now and once I destroy this one, we'll start blowing them up with the beds on average. It probably takes three or four explosions on the bed, maybe not average, ideally it takes three explosions on the bed, but it usually takes a lot more just because it's hard to get really solid hits, so now I'm just going to wait for that loads. and then I'm going to place a block between me and the bed to take less explosion damage and that will allow me to do a ton of damage to the dragon at once.

I'm also avoiding shooting arrows at him. Meanwhile, because if it starts a charge and you hit it with an arrow, it will cancel the charge and charging is the only way to get it within range of these beds, so I actually want it to charge and I want to make sure I don't cancel it. The reasons whybeds explode in another is that it was kind of an easter egg that would have caused more damage, but it was partially underground, so most of the damage was absorbed into the ground. You can't do it either. well, you can make beds in the other one, but you can trick the Enderdragon and you need to kill an Ender Dragon, but you don't.

They all have separate health bars if you duplicate them, so if you parody it's really confusing and you have to figure out which one. one has the lowest health and uses, you know, tag, yeah, I've had runs where I tried to pin another one as a backup strategy, but I ended up, okay, he flew through the pillar there, so I wasn't sure when it was loading and that's why I missed it but yeah I had like 1200 dragons at the same time but it was just a nightmare it's pretty fun but it also completely ruins the race because it's basically impossible to progress that's pretty cool , do not look.

Well it's always nervous when you accidentally look at an Enderman and suddenly look away, the Ender Dragon's charge is basically just RNG so you have to wait for it to decide to cooperate, that was a very solid hit and one more okay . It's actually charging very frequently, which is very good for me. It was actually pretty good. The fight only needs one more server to do very little damage to him, so even if he has this low health, it's much faster to just go with the explosion, you have to wait, so now with the experience that obtained by killing. the ender dragon I'm going to be able to create a three main sword that I'm going to need later and then we just jump into the nan portal and do the achievement so after you go through the final portal it just puts you back. in the spawn which is where you started running or where I started there and I guess none of you are doing well so now I'm going to create a chest and I'm actually a pretty long wood so I'm going to continue forward. and duplicate that first as well as some ender pearls and I don't need beds anymore so I can clear my inventory of those and other things that I don't need yeah so now I'm going to create the chest.

Later I will do a death job to respawn and I can get all my items out of the final chest again so the chest will just give me even more space because again inventory space is very limited. The minor chest is there. just invisible because this game is programmed well, you will also need the skull box later as a beacon, yeah that was an important thing to remember, I'm not the best at getting it right, I'm going to make a couple of ovens because I'm going to need to cook a fish and get some glass from the sand I don't need diamonds I don't need flint or steel I only need three stacks of ender pearls everything else seems fine so now let's start heading to Some more biomes we head to the biomes of Mesa, as well as the savanna biomes that are in this general direction.

Okay, here's Forested Foothill, if I actually make it to Forest Hills, okay, so in this general direction is the Mesa. actually three different Mesa biomes, there's a Mesa Mesa Plateau and a Mesa Plateau F.
