Semicolon Stone- let's give someone a little hope today!

May 10, 2020
Hello everyone, welcome back

today

. We are making a

semicolon

stone

. I'm going to use a compass to put my circles on my

stone

. You can use any other circular object to do this if you don't feel comfortable using a compass. I'm going to use a dark Sharpie so you can see what I'm doing. I just make a point in the center where I want my Center to be and then draw my circle and then adjust it a bit. make it a

little

bigger and make a

little

bigger circle around the original circle like i said you can use different objects around your house that are circular to make these circles on your rock just so you have a little framed area to work with that's why which i like to do this, as you can see i used purple but eventually i will cover it with gold.

I really don't want to see that purple there but here you can use a lid from a detergent container or lotions or face creams or look around your house there are many different shapes and sizes you can use on you r rocks so I always have a circle . I like circles. I like dots and circular things, so I like having my circles. Now I'm going to complete my smaller circle in black. Make sure you don't go outside the lines you want. to make sure you can still see that line there so I'll just fill it in with black acrylic paint and let it dry and then we'll use a pencil to draw in our

semicolon

in the middle of that so while I'm painting this black.

I drew it in pencil it looks kinda funny but you can do your semicolon any way you want the best part of p what matters to me is that you don't even have to put a semicolon in the center of your stone you can do whatever you want you can make a butterfly you can make the peace sign you can make a star or whatever you want a little snowman put whatever you want in the center of your rock then go from there just be creative but today i thought that the little symbol we are using has such a big meaning and why not why not let's make a beautiful piece of art with such amazing symbolism as you can see my gold acrylic paint covered all my purple lines and my pencil drew dot and eat so now we have everything golden and it's not the center I'm not I didn't like taking out my ruler and I measure and I put everything where I thought it looked good in the center.
I'm just fixing up some of my gold lines with the black and then picking a color to go around on that outer circle. I'm choosing aubergine because purple is my favorite color so I'm choosing this shade of purple today and I'm going to work with this color throughout my rock now just fill it in. I am using a fine brush. I'll put that tutorial for my DIY thin brush which will be in the description as well as all the paint colors I use for my holographic paint which

give

s it a bit of a sparkle and I'll also put my resin tutorial because you'll see it gets super shiny by the end of the video and that's the resin the art resin i use so i'll leave it sorry for any notifications coming during this tutorial i'll make sure everything is in the description you need as well as help lines and numbers so they're there if you ever need them or someone else might need them because honestly, you never know.
I want to thank you all of course for subscribing and watching my tutorials and appreciating what I'm doing for you because this takes time and energy and a lot of people don't get it right away, but I appreciate those of you who value that I'm sharing my knowledge. that I learned only with you. Now what I'm doing here is like cutting a cake. I put a slice on top and bottom and on the sides and now I'm going to go inside. between all those lines with a line down the center and again I'm not measuring so I'm just observing and putting gold lines down the center.
I just move my rock and put a gold line down the center. and it starts, those center dots get smaller and smaller as we go along and you can stop where you want, you don't even have to do this part, you can put whatever you want, dots around that circle, whatever you want, but I've got this thing with dots and lines and circles and I'm not quite sure why but I'm going to put a lot of lines here and you just do what you want and I'll do what I want how does that sound and you?
Let me know how you think so I'll just keep going until I have a very small gap between the gold lines and literally turn my rock one by one. and it goes right down the middle so if you've seen this on a lot of my rocks a lot of it's because I really like this and it just frames it nicely it almost looks like the outer edge of a coin or something fancy that's why I like it do it now. I'm using ocean blue for my lightest color in the center and I'm going over the semicolon using a nail dotting tool, a very small one or you can use a toothpick and I'm going to use ocean blue because I like to start with a lighter color light and bright in the center and I'm using all the different sizes of dots once again don't be intimidated it doesn't have to be perfect and I'm going to do a couple of layers of dots around the semicolon in my ocean blue and here it is where you can choose the colors you want also if you want to do it in all shades of green it looks amazing in all shades of turquoise pink. looks great just wear whatever color makes your heart happy so i usually wear purple and teal nd gold and hologram but once in a while i like to change it up but today we will do it with my favorite colors to make me happy and i'm random like scattering those navy dots a little bit as you can see nothing is perfect there's not like a perfect line of dots i don't like that i like to mix and mix them so they all look good together now i'm going to use a little bit of eggplant another Same color instead I used around the outside but I'm going to add a little bit of white to it so I just want to keep the same purple eggplant theme on my rock but I just want to lighten it up a bit so I just add a little bit of the white it really changes that color.
I'm also going to use teal, which will be my next color after this one. You can't really see what I'm doing right now. I apologize for that. i ordered the edit and now i'm just going around like i did ocean blue only now i'm using the eg gplant color and mixing those two colors together my terminology is terrible sometimes now i'm going with teal and then after the teal i'm going to add a little more eggplant and put that in there and we're going to use hologram as well as another folk art glitter extreme glitter paint called rose this will all be in the description so if you have any questions about what I'm using it will be in the description for you there we go it looks beautiful my lighting is not. the best, so it looks almost a little yellowish, the gold looks under my light, but I assure you it doesn't look like that in real life.
I'm putting just some random folk art glitter dots, it looks white. right now but it dries too much like a green teal green I don't know it's hard to explain but it looks beautiful and I'm just putting a little bit on it I can't live without that gloss now I'm outlining my semicolon with black in case I overlap any of my points on top of it n Now you don't have to continue here doing these steps, I just do a little more. I'd like to add a little garnish to the outside, so I'm actually using a measuring spoon and put a black dot. each side just to have that as a guide and I put the black dots right on the edge of my gold line and I use a pencil and draw a little half circle here with pencil and I'm going to overlay that a little bit and do it again and I'm going to connect them I call them petals flower petals I connect these petals all together around the rock I use pencil because sometimes you have to adjust the size of the petals to fit evenly around their circle so you may need to erase a little and then go over it again, but in the end there are some beautiful ruffled designs left on the outside of your circle and of course I take out my gold again and cover. those pencil lines with gold and I make them a nice thick line so you can't see the pencil through them. t and once again you don't have to do all this extra stuff if your stone isn't very big and you don't have space don't worry this is just what I want to do today so if you like the aspect of continuing once I'm done dry I'm going to get some black acrylic paint out and I'm actually going to put little blobs with the end of my brush I'm going to put little black dots of paint where all these petals come together so as you can see you have to wait for let your paint, your gold paint, dry first and then they come out with these big black dots, the bigger the brush, the bigger the dots, the bigger the dot tool, the bigger the dots, you know what?
I mean and then once they're dry I'll add a pinkish glitter which I just, I don't know, makes it a little dreamier and that's optional but this is beautiful when it's dry I promise if you like hologram I'm also going to like the extreme pink sparkle here we go and it looks a bit white like the hologram it's not very shiny and shimmery right now when you put it on but once it's dry it's like a deep Rose Sparkle and it's like a dusty rose is so beautiful and it looks good with purple it looks good with all kinds of different colors like that and once that's dry and now i'm going to apply a fine liner brush and black paint.
This fine liner brush will be in the description as well as the tutorial, move my big hand there. I'm just outlining the gold one more time, it's just for me for my taste. it makes it stand out a little more on the outer edge these little things make a big difference if you look at it before and after it makes a big difference so once again guys thanks so much for watching my tutorials and being a part of me rock painting family i love and appreciate you all keep going keep painting i will continue to inspire you and i will continue to create for you that is a promise i will keep and i love you all have an amazing day
