Scarface: The World Is Yours Review

Dec 24, 2021
Okay, I'll play with you. Do you want to clarify? Say hello to my new friend Scarface. The

world

is Yours. the end of the movie the

world

is

yours

does the same thing, but also tells a hypothetical story in which, if at the end of

scarface

, tony montana turns around during that iconic gunfight and sees the old buddy sneaking up behind him with the super shotgun not only that, but what if he survived the rest of the firefight and escaped nice sunny jim that's the premise for

scarface

the world is

yours

people might be talking about the open world of cyberpunk 2077 and the vast emptiness of the night city But in my opinion, it all pales in comparison to an old video game made almost two decades ago about one of the best Christmas movies of all time.

The game you get to play through an awesome prologue recreating the climactic gunfight from the movie then you're thrust into the open world of Miami with just your balls and your word and Tony won't break them for anyone alright so make it quick . i dont have all day either baby you know after sosa kicked him out of miami and the feds seized his assets tony then returns to town four months later to start over and rebuild his empire his initial goal is just to get his mansion, something that requires a measly ten thousand dollars to acquire before you can claim territory throughout the city and regain your reputation, yes, and I should also say that if you haven't seen the movie, a lot of this isn't going to really have much It makes sense and probably half the references cross your mind, but as a video game sequel to one of the most eighties movies ever made, there's very little fault with its fidelity to its source. ial whats going through montana but you can call me tony ok pussycat you can even walk through tonys mansion and admire the authenticity of the architecture to his office ok so before i go too far im going to take a quick moment to stop and thank expressvpn for sponsoring this video.

I would only endorse a product that I have used myself and I can honestly say that expressvpn is one of those that is deviating from the way 2020 has been. There is no better time to protect yourself when online and a vpn is perfect for that vpn it's short for a virtual private network and without using one of these you're basically putting all your personal information, your email passwords and everything else that goes with it at risk by using a vpn even though all your data goes through an encrypted tunnel, which means that other people cannot access it. expressvpn routes this information through 3000+ servers and you too can choose to appear in 90+ countries. tries this can really be useful for gaming it can prevent ddos attacks it can keep your data anonymous plus you can also buy and play games in different regions and what's also nice about expressvpn is that it doesn't affect lag or server connection speeds. in fact the speeds with expressvpn are pretty solid across the board you really don't have to look that far to see people say good things about this it also has good

s from users have also been using it for over six months without any kind of problem all you have to do is click the connect button and then you are good to go but in case something goes wrong it also offers support to the 24/7 customer so yeah look I've said it before and I'll say it again there's no real reason not to use a VPN all the time so to find out how you can get three months free head over to expressvpn gman and start i k now alot of people label this a gta clone and definitely in terms of how it looks and feels its not the worst comparison i mean gta vice city was literally based on miami back in the 80s and the world is yours takes place in miami in the 80s vice city was heavily inspired by the movie scarface and now the game scarface feels like it was heavily inspired by the city and then visually i would say which looks a lot like a cnn dress mod which is probably also because the game runs on the render engine that rockstar put to great effect with the first three gta games but it's actually more than just a clone from gta its more like a drug empire management sim combined with a third person shooter unlike grand theft auto games shooting the police is really not a good idea and you actually lose points for do it also tony has something of a moral code in that he doesn't like to harm innocent people in fact you can't even shoot civilians i mean tony is happy to destroy countless vi You've been producing and selling drugs en masse on a global scale, but I guess shooting someone is a step too far and while you might not kill someone with bullets, Pete will surely kill you with words that he knows seem like he hasn't. done. a good one here so let me get this straight you mean to add him to my long list of bad guys there's a pretty decent list of voice actors in this thing two you got michael york ricky gervais ice-t james woods and even bear margera as a stone head liquor store owner and i would say he has life experience with at least half of that character oh hell yeah man this place is yours if you want it and i will definitely keep working for you even the same actors that played it came back to manny and lopez you have respect for this business tony you are someone i can trust but look we need to talk about the guy who does tony's voice that sounds possible but at other times it's just good i don't know oh what i have i have a nice house a lot of yellow things a lot of money to spend on hi only dating guys with bmws apparently apochen himself didn't approve this guy but that means as much as james cameron saying he approved term inated the dark fate honestly though its not that bad i guess and you almost kindly stop thinking about it after a while anyway what does the cockroach think its doing?

What type of operation are you running here? What they have really gotten right though is his appearance and the personality of him and Tony's likeness has carried over into the game quite well. engine even more so considering how old this game is right now, hey you know how to keep a guy happy? The story doesn't take itself too seriously unlike the movie and there's a light-hearted tone to the whole thing that feels like a combination. from a watered down grand theft auto and saints row it's far from pg and every second word out of someone's mouth is usually a bombshell but it's far from the 80's crime epic that we got in the movie from experience Personally, I can confirm that cocaine is an amazing drug, but I think that even though the game has a very cocaine-centric theme, you don't even see anyone doing it in the entire game. see a lot of that though as it forms the basis of almost everything you do here apart from driving around the island in various sports cars or boats you will also be involved in mass murder and genocide of the vast majority of Miami. criminal underworld mostly just looking for the yayo buzz buzz huh the world is yours also has some surprisingly good shooting and a big part of that I think is how the guns sounded the field sound effects are incredibly loud and the Weapons feel shocking too, both the Shotgun and the Desert Eagle can rip off entire limbs like it's a soldier of fortune or something, leaving stumps where fountains of blood just gush.
scarface the world is yours review
It's actually one of the best shotguns in any video game I've ever played. and it's one that just doesn't get enough credit, the sniper rifle in this game is also so powerful it seems to completely vaporize an enemy's head, then there are the pistols, machine guns and of course Tony's little friend, the M16, you want to play rough. ok let's play hard there is also a lmg that again has a habit of turning limbs to liquid and then a fucking rpg that is so expensive to buy ammo for that i think it would actually be cheaper to have a cocaine habit than keep this thing stocked up.
I also have the iconic chainsaw which really isn't as fun as you'd hope it would be, though it dismembers enemies pretty well. Enemies can also carry this thing around as their resident savior doctor before you get some pretty detailed stats on where you're hitting someone when you're shooting at them even if you're hitting them left or right nope it's pretty brutal what only thing i don't like about the shooting is how tommy moves so slowly when reloading it turns you into a sitting duck or i don't know a slow duck i guess and as a lame attempt to make certain missions more difficult they take away from you all your weapons at the start, otherwise I think for a combat.
The 2006 system is kind of hard to fault it's definitely better than shooting in Vice City or San Andreas I mean that's for sure now a lot of the combat in this comes down to balls yeah Tony's balls and I don't think so. I've seen a game make so many references to a man's testicles in my entire life. I always thought Rogue Warrior won the award for that, but this thing just blows it out of the water. Scarface has a very useful padlock. in the system when you fire weapons, but the problem is that using the lock system cuts the number of balls you get per kill in half.
This is important because killing enemies fills up your made up balls and when your bowl meter is full you can then go into a rage mode where the camera switches to a first person perspective now you have infinite ammo and then each kill returns health points, which its one of the only ways to get it back and i must also say they really captured the feeling of tony on a psycho when this triggers another way to fill this up quickly is by taunting enemies after killing them which is a bit pointless to be honest , I mean, considering they're dead and they're not really going to hear the insult, but see if he gives me any more balls then I'm all for it.
Talking to people more is actually quite an important mechanic in the game. You can often have conversations with random npcs you come across and some of these are really fun to listen to. Hey, Mr. Montana, can I sit down? on your lap are even five women the game calls femme for tiles who, when you have enough balls, will eventually stay in your mansion dressed in the kind of outfits that even your mom will blush and listen to Tony interact with these girls. i got some pretty funny results i got a tiger you compare all day baby one of these is actually voiced by a model named veda guerra now thats a name i haven't heard in a long time lemme say sonny jim that name reminds me till browsing internet in 2005 and becoming an adult master tabulating every time my parents walked in the room the other main mechanic is tony's reputation and at the end of the day all the balls in the world won't help you if you haven't. you have some credibility and improving this level of reputation becomes one of the main focuses of the whole game, ultimately you are taking over the four districts of the city, you have the center of little havana and then finally, the north and south beach before heading to bolivia to finally put an end to that bland roach, though once you play this for a few hours and get the gist of it, you've seen everything there is to do at dinner and things don't really change that much , just a bit like going through the ag moves over and over again to hit that reputation cap regardless of what you're doing from mission to mission the end goal is just to sell cocaine the point of all this is to get your reputation back to increase your reputation complete missions you take over the grass gang you buy exotic items like sports cars, boats and cosmetics for the mansion love this country man but for to buy all these things you need cash and to make money you have to sell coke at first to get coke first you need a hint a dealer which is always done by completing some sort of randomly generated mission this could be killing a bunch of enemies or protecting someone from an ambush there are over half a dozen of these in total and they always seem completely random sometimes they will take two to three minutes to feed or sometimes it will take five to ten anyway after that you will get the track of a nearby dealer right where you can head to meet them and make a deal to try and get as much product as possible this part of the process never changes it just depends on how far along you are in the game whether you buy or not buy a kilo of coke or 30.
At the beginning of the game, you are simply making deals. with guys on the street but the most you can sell to these is a couple of kilos and no one has time to sit around doing 20 or 30 deals you don't know how much this costs me eventually once you open a store you can start topush bigger deals up to several kilos at a time and eventually start smuggling it into miami from nearby islands and that's where big money will start coming in; he'll go from making $20,000 a deal to over $20 million, the thing is, you're always the one that has to do this manually even though Tony hired all these people and expanded his empire, he still micromanages the whole operation like a leader completely obsessed with the island that will eventually give you much more coke. to sell i think the m ax weighs about 30 kilos but some of these carry the missions are absolutely gruesome and last forever and it sure doesn't help that the cartel is attacking you down there almost incessantly smuggling coke back to miami is pretty tedious too , so not only do you need to get off the islands in the first place, trying to avoid all the pirates that will attack you on site, but then once you finally reach our waters, you still have to get to one of your warehouses, this time avoiding all the coast guards you've got an ec2 plane with satellite tracking and you've got bell 209 assault choppers on your ass that's no waddle walk even then though once you finally get the coke to a warehouse you still have to drive manually and collect all the cash earned from all your fronts, which involves driving all of them one by one, obviously, which makes it more difficult the more fronts you have, oh yeah, and because there's no point in someone leaving millions of dollars on the sidewalk.
It is also usually located at the rear of buildings. As you spread out all over Miami you basically have to drive through all the main islands to collect your cash every time each island has four or five fronts so it's about 16 stops and finally after you do all of this, you still need to launder the money in a bank every interaction in this game, whether it's with a dealer, a salesperson or a bank clerk, requires this timed button where you have to take your finger off the button for just the right amount of time to maximize your result not too hard but it never gets easier no matter how far in the game i have a wife at home man and she is big and over or under shooting that sweet spot could be the difference on the bench taking a four percent cut on your investment or a fucking 30 cut that ain't peanuts maybe you need your meat and again it's something you're going to be doing over and over and over again well I don't want to ha cer sonic fronts are places like a pawn s jump fast food to a hotel or the babylon club you can even buy the same hotel where tony and his friend angel were ambushed by the colombians in the movie and most of the missions they are just a means to unlock more fronts, which in turn is just a means to push more coke and make more money, sometimes during distribution france will be attacked so before you can hit the cash road and get to the next one you have to jump out of your car and shoot all the rival gang members try to interrupt the action and this is all random too so sometimes it pays to reload a save file and start over and i don't know man , i find it kind of weird how tony is still going around like he's some kind of baggage handler even when he's selling millions and millions of dollars worth of product at a time, he'll be like bill gates hanging out in a u You are in a mall trying to sell people copies of Windows 10.
You can order your driver to drop off any vehicle for you in a matter of seconds, you can fast travel with safe limousines and planes to make the trip even shorter and at the end of the game you get his own plantation and can even send 30 kilos to one of his warehouses instantly for easy delivery, but even then you still have to manually deliver these things to Miami. I guess the point I'm trying to make is that this is a very repetitive game, and yet despite all of this and how tedious it may seem, I still couldn't stop playing.
If you're doing a good job man keep it up if this was just some kind of generic open world shooter well then it might have been forgettable but I mean come on son you're playing as Tony Montana a guy who proved than cocaine literally. it makes you bulletproof i mean it seems like a lesser known fact about the end of the movie was that tony didn't actually die from being shot in the back now son he drowned in the pool this game is a classic example of the license that he takes with him. What else would he do? being a pretty mediocre product screaming like a psycho while shooting a platoon of gangsters with an m16 in the middle pushing 30 million dollar hit is just the ultimate power fantasy oh i bet to beat it all and finally defeat soda it took me about 15 hours and after that I still had a ton of exotics and stuff left to buy but at that point it was just working dealer deals over and over again to put it in perspective once I can order 30 keys straight to one of your stores, you're looking for around 30 million dollars after distribution, assuming your fronts don't get hit, but now consider that there are multiple exotics to buy that cost over 20 million dollars each along with Tony's multiple business investments that can run up to $60 million each, so yeah, that's a lot of stuff to buy.
I wish juno money. I hope you guys see this as well as playing as tony. You can also complete side missions like tony's dr. iver and tony enforcer that looks a bit like a t800 with those sunglasses on these missions are pretty basic you just drive into an area kill a bunch of people then drive away i mean once you've made one of these. I've literally done them all, probably the best of all, even though Tony's killer is a badass running around in a fucking schoolgirl outfit. with a character like this well then yeah you guys know me pretty well just keep walking around when it released i remember this game got some pretty lukewarm reviews and the six and seven out of 10 were pretty common its not hard to see why what so though when you start looking closely at some of the more repetitive mechanics in the game the repetition and lack of variety is definitely a big criticism but one of the main things that stood out to me which isn't even a big deal . it was that there is no jump button and i don't know why even grand theft auto 3 had a jump button and that thing came out like five years before this i mean you can swim but you can't jump too i'll say that some of the missions in this game are pretty gruesome, including everyone's favorite escort missions, most of which are terrible and the person you're supposed to protect will always get beat up over and over again. the soundtrack on this thing is very hit and miss too just saying that part is pretty bad other than some of the artists on here just dont make any sense like cypress hill d12 how about johnny cash and rob zombie cash or rob zombie but that seems really out of place the only station that makes any sense is the 80s station and the one that uses all the music from the movie everything else to me just doesn't fit it also seems like the radio has a mind own on this thing and no matter how many times i turn it off it keeps on turning itself on its kind of annoying because the music they have composed for the game along with stuff taken from the movie is leaps and bounds better than great j yeah remember that still there are some cool mechanics here that I think are almost ahead of the curve if you pull out a weapon for example npcs are going to react.
Hey sir, you don't scare me with that and the cops behave accordingly. the crime committed, so you're more likely to be forgiven if you just caused a hit-and-run accident instead of causing all that gang warfare with the Mach 10. The distribution system also has some interesting quirks with the growing demand for drugs. or decreasing in different sections of the city, depending on whether or not you only sell in specific areas. I also think that the mechanics of controlling almost everything from your phone is also way ahead of its time, considering that smartphones weren't even real. and that big thing back then hey listen listen to me i need my car ok bring my car now oh and i need to talk about the various ways to play this game too now if you're playing it on the playstation 2 the xbox well it's not really going There shouldn't be any problem here, PC on the other hand is an absolute nightmare and getting this to work in the first place can be really hit and miss, do you want to clear that up even if you do manage to? get it going there's drama with the controls mostly just horrible mouse acceleration which is horrible the frame rate is also incredibly choppy at times and the v-sync doesn't seem to work either which interferes with the speed of the game game resulting in a bunch of other stuff dialogues overlap i have a place in miami you wouldn't believe this is not the way i usually do business oh this is not a businesswoman just for pleasure i'm just not ready for this at this point, i will say though that the pc version is worth it if only for me to play in widescreen with other settings like anti-aliasing turned on and makes it a much better game than the console version and at least it's stable in the sense that it never crashes in the 20+ hours I've played this I didn't have a single desktop crash or even an error all the time for an otherwise complete port. ta crap that's a fucking miracle scarface the world is yours again i think its one of those games that could really benefit from a remake or if nothing else a remaster at a time when grand theft auto, red dead redemption 2 and now cyberpunk are still quite popular.
Very funny games used to be back then when developers would add a killer dressed in a schoolgirl outfit without a second thought, you just walk away, seen nothing, so say goodnight to the bad guy or at least say hello to h is little friend that you look at feed it
