Samsung Galaxy Buds+ (Blue) VS AirPods Pro | Which is the BETTER Value?

Feb 27, 2020
So I've had my Galaxy Buds Plus for about a day. I've been using and testing them and so far they seem to be great

value

for money and a definite improvement over the last-gen Galaxy Buds, and today I want to see how they compare to the Apple Air Pods Pro,

which

are mine, cost $100 more. We have to remember the price difference here, but I think this will be a pretty fair comparison because Samsung is bringing a lot to the table with the new Buds Plus here. but before we continue, I would really appreciate it if you could leave a comment on this video if you have any questions, suggestions or opinions, because the algorithm likes it and it will help bring my content to more people, so let's talk about design and construction first.

Quality and from the start, the Galaxy Buds Plus are not as solidly built as the Air Pods Pro, in my opinion they both feature this nice polycarbonate or glossy plastic, both feel equally solid in the hand, one does not feel cheaper . than the other one apart from this little piece of metal right here on the hinge with the air pods Pro, but that doesn't make a huge difference in terms of the overall feel, I would say here, as you know, the air pods Pro like all the others . Air Pods bottles are available in one color, white, and while they look nice, they get dirty after a while and will take on the color of your jeans.

More Interesting Facts About,

samsung galaxy buds blue vs airpods pro which is the better value...

The pans you use will get scratched after a while. equally susceptible, but you have other colors that you can choose from, for example, you have black, you also have white and you have this beautiful baby

blue

color that I am really enjoying now regarding the hinges, both are equally solid. I like the build quality, however, I find that the one with the Air Pods Pro is more convenient to open with one thumb, it uses what the buttons do and you also have to dance more with your hands to open it with one hand, so

which

is a little more convenient. with the air pods Pro, but to be honest, this is not a big deal when it comes to charging, you have a USB type c port with the Galaxy

buds

plus here, which is very convenient and versatile and Universal, compared to the Patented Lightning. port with the air pods Pro surprise surprise, hopefully with the next generation you will also get USB type-c and both of course can be charged wirelessly, but I will say that one convenient thing about being in the Samsung ecosystem with its newer phones is that you can reverse power sharing, meaning you can charge your Galaxy Buds directly on the back of your Note 10 Plus or your Galaxy Fold, for example, here you can also charge your Air Pods Pro, but because because this phone basically acts like a cable. charger, but yeah, I mean, if you're in the ecosystem, this is a very convenient feature.

I have to say I wish the phone or Apple was built into your iPhone and Air Pod setup and speaking of charging, next let's talk about battery life here. Manufacturers provide very different numbers here, which I'm going to take at face

value

because they're generally pretty accurate because using these devices is a pretty simple style, using a phone that you could be doing a thousand different things on and draining the battery in a thousand different ways, so I'll say the numbers here are pretty accurate: you get four and a half hours of playback with the individual ear

buds

here and 24 hours of charging time with the case versus 11 hours of playback with the individual earbuds more here and 22 hours of playback comes with the case and this will be a big deal for someone who listens to music constantly at work or wherever you are, you won't have to take them out of your ears as often.

Get what's five and a half hours more playtime with these and charging is faster with the earbuds too. Plus, you get three minutes of charging per hour and playback here versus five minutes of charging per hour of playback with the Air Pods. Pro, so keep everything in mind, if battery life is important to you then the

galaxy

buds plus could be the device of choice next. Let's talk about fit and comfort with these two devices. I find them equally comfortable in my ear and they are both equally easy to put on and take off, that is very important in my opinion and of course you get adjustable ear cushions with both devices, small, medium and large with both, but with the buds plus you also get adjustable ear seals, I don't know what.
The Cawley's I'll just call them your seals and these are great because you have these kind of winged variants that will allow you to keep them in your ear

better

, it's a tighter fit, it's less comfortable, but if you're working out or running. or dancing or I don't know what you're doing just being active, these keep these headphones in your ear

better

because otherwise if you use the flatter ones, which I prefer, they'll fit looser, which is actually more comfortable, it's something similar with I think these two are more comfortable when they're looser in your ear, you'll notice them less, but you still have a lot more variety in terms of fit when it comes to the Galaxy Buds, plus you have these ear seals that allow you to customize them. your experience is greater compared to earbuds try they fit they fit and if not no you only have control over the ear tips that are included so yes I like the customization that comes with the

galaxy

buds plus here , but if.
Again, comfort with these is pretty much the same. I can have both in my ears for hours watching videos, listening to music, etc. without shoes and lastly, let's talk about the feature set that both devices offer and the actual sound quality. what you get from them, active listening is a feature you get with both devices. Apple calls it transparency mode. Samsung calls it active listening and I will say that with Samsung you get a lot more control over how much immersion you want in your environment. A little bit more, from a medium amount, you can have a lot and of course you can also toggle this feature with the little interactions that you have with these devices, little touch panels here and the little touch controls with the Air Pods Pro, of which I'll talk. but I will say that the transparency mode just sounds more natural, it's really amazing Apple does an amazing job making it not sound like a microphone, it just feels like your ear is extending beyond the air capsules, where are the buttons more you? it just feels more artificial, you have a lot of microphones on this device and you can definitely hear your surroundings very well and of course toggle how much you want to hear them, however it sounds more artificial, like I said it definitely sounds like you're listening through a microphone, so yes, active listening sounds more natural with the Air Pods Pro and more artificial with the Buds.
However, you are paying $100 less for these and they do 75% of the work doing the most important functions of active listening. allowing you to not yell at people when you have them on, so yes, they do the job very well, they just don't sound as good in this aspect. Another feature I must mention is the noise cancellation which is absent on the Galaxy Buds plus here. and of course a basic feature of the air pods Pro and damn it works so well with it on that you were very isolated from your surroundings and you can drown out some repetitive noises with the anti noise if for example you use with a blower of leaves will sound much quieter, so yes, the noise cancellation works very, very well with the Air Pods Pro and that is probably the reason why the battery life is not so good.
I will say with the Galaxy Buds Plus though, but really any earbuds. With headphones or earbuds, you get some isolation because you know you're cutting off your ear canal or you know that by opening your ear from the outside world less noise is coming in, so I didn't find immersion to be a problem when listening. Listening to music with the buds plus here, however, is greatly improved with the noise cancellation with the air pods Pro. Not going to lie, controlling these devices is a little different than with the buds and you also get a small stylus to that you can touch it and want to play music. double tap it to know, I think it skips a track and hold it to activate the Google assistant type of symbol with the Air Pods Pro.
Here you have a little touch area on the stem that you can squeeze to be able to squeeze it. Syria, tap it to know how to play and pause music, tap it twice to skip a track, etc. I will say though that you get a lot more customization with a touchpad on the bus and here for example I set a long press on the left touchpad of my buds plus to activate Spotify, so at the end of the day both inputs on These devices work very similarly, however, Samsung has the advantage here because you have a little more custom ability with them and finally, let's talk about sound quality.
Samsung is really interesting because they have like 6 sound presets here they have normal bass boost and smooth dynamics. I like that clear and sharp which I really like because you can fine-tune how they sound in your ear, so if you have a particular taste, you know more. serious or more problems, you can toggle that versus the

airpods

, you have a preset sound, so if you like it, you like it and if you don't, you don't, but fortunately they sound amazing, very high quality, in my opinion they have a very full sound With a lot of clarity and bass, you can hear a lot of fine details, music and so on.
All of this is not like you know some Sennheiser headphones, so don't take what I said too far here versus with the Galaxy Buds plus they sound great, I will say, although they are 75 to 80 percent of what the Air Pods are. Pro when it comes to sound quality. However, you can toggle certain aspects of the sound that you like again, such as treble boost and bass boost. um yeah these just don't have as good sound quality because they lack the same clarity, in my opinion they just sound clearer and fuller, but with all that being said we have to remember that the Galaxy buds plus are $100 cheaper and For the price For the sound quality For the incredible battery life For the build quality For active listening these are a bargain, the Galaxy buds plus are an incredible value and I highly recommend them to anyone who is in the market for headphones wireless, whether you have an iPhone or a Samsung device, really any device they work with, obviously, both will because they're

blue

tooth and of course the air pods Pro are amazing and have less battery life.
I will say that they have less options in terms of color. and they have a proprietary charging port but you can charge wirelessly the noise cancellation is amazing and the sound quality is really great too and one thing I'll quickly add is that while you can use both devices with any Bluetooth that If you want, you can use the pros with the fold, you can use the buds plus with the iPhone here, however, both devices will work best with their manufacturers' products. You know what I mean so like you've built features into Samsung's single UI for the buds plus and then you have features built into iOS for the air pods Pro so keep that in mind this might dictate your decision of purchase, but if you buy them without that problem, you have like a different phone that you are buying. these for use with multiple devices and then yeah, think about the features you get for the price and then make a decision and that sums it up.
I hope this video helped you once again. I would really appreciate it if you think that way.
