Samsung Galaxy Buds (Black) 2 Months Later: Improvements!

Feb 27, 2020
So it's been two

months

since Samsung's Galaxy Buds hit shelves and I've been using them every day since. My final review from a month ago determined that they are worth their $130 price and provide everything you need here in 2019 from a truly wireless device. headset, but I want to talk to you about some new experiences I've had since then and share some big

improvements

Samsung has made through software updates since the launch date. Let's get started, so I've always said the comfort of the Galaxy headphones. providing is its biggest selling point and I want to reiterate this with some new experiences I've had starting with the case, the pill shaped design with a flat base makes it a perfect option for anyone who works at a desk as you can sit near your desk and it's a seamless process to open the case and place the ear

buds

in your ears or place them back in the case.

This flat bottom design also allows for better one-handed accessibility, more so than airpods where you can easily open with just one hand. Place them with your hand on the desk and grab the headphones with one hand if your other hand is busy at the moment Convenience is the selling point The little things add up to make a product great, wireless charging capability The case is honestly more of a selling point than I expected over the last month. I've been putting this case on my wireless charger and using type-c hasn't even crossed my mind, and last but not least, I'm doubling down on making the form factor portable enough to fit in a smaller pocket of your pants.

More Interesting Facts About,

samsung galaxy buds black 2 months later improvements...

I've been doing this daily and other channels seemed to have done the same when we started making it interesting now on the headphones themselves Samsung has sent out a few software updates over the last few

months

and the latest one has been a big help with improved touch controls and features additional touch controls in my last review. I indicated that the touch controls work as intended, although your touches must be precise to get the desired result, so with that said, I can now change my broad touch controls. works as intended, the evaluation of the touch controls is incredible before you had to be extremely precise with your taps, but now you can perform the taps at different speeds, as I am trying my best to demonstrate to you right now, you can tap three times quickly or three times.

Tap slowly and either way the buttons now know exactly what you want to do. Additionally, at the time of the last review, you could only access Quick Ambient Sound from the touch panels, which meant you had to place a finger on the headset at all times to use the Ambient Sound feature, but now, if the control is set to your headphones, you can briefly press and hold the touchpad to permanently activate ambient sound mode and this grows on me very quickly as I enjoyed being able to tune everything in or switch back to Street Ambient Mode from my friends instead of jumping to my phone to select settings.

This update also brought some Bixby features, but I've honestly never used them. However, the features work as intended, so now you can give Bixby some credit. Many of you had complaints regarding call quality, especially outdoors. Now, if we talk indoors, I have had absolutely no problems on every phone call I have received. I asked the person on the other end of the line if they could hear me clearly and they all said yes and I can hear them fine too but the outdoors definitely has the potential to become problematic so I went to a noisy area to try to demonstrate this to them .
I have received many complaints about call quality. outside noise and especially close by so I'm actually right next to a highway right now just test the meter. I can now ring. This is what the person on the other end will be turning to. Another minor complaint I've been experiencing is with the button sensors. Detecting whether they are in your ears or not can be a completely personal problem considering the size of my ear and using the middle wing and ear tips constantly, but when you use the headphones for a while, the right button it moves slightly away in my ear enough for the button to think it has been removed, the button still plays audio as intended but the touch controls no longer work and I have to reposition the but in my ear for the ringer to sound, letting me know that the button recognizes its location in my ear and then I have the ability again to use touch controls.
Another thing worth mentioning is the sometimes spotty Bluetooth connection. Now 95% of the time these headphones work great and you won't have any problems, but for me, for whatever reason, some specific ones. The movements result in little static feedback or complete cuts. A specific example I have of this is when I am at the east gate and I quickly look behind me to see if there is traffic every time I do this the buttons cut out for a split second. Again, this is a specific scenario and may not apply to other people's normal experiences, but I should mention that Samsung has rolled out a couple of software updates related to Bluetooth connectivity at this point, so I can't be the one. only one that takes care of some minor connections. problems and now some things I want to quickly summarize about the battery life, the battery life is excellent on these and by excellent I mean I never had to worry about the battery life whereas with the previous headphones I had I felt like the end was always close again whether the case is on your desk and you are always putting the ear

buds

in the case or keeping a single earbud in your ear and one earbud in the case or taking a break from using both earbuds for a little battery is never a The advertised playback time of six hours is legit now regarding the sound quality.
I still stand by my original statement and that the overall sound presentation of the headphones is good and the bass is not great but certainly not bad either. It is also worth mentioning that the larger playback time. Choose the size of the ear tips, the less sound leakage you will have which will mean better sound quality in my personal tests, the small ear tips let outside noise in and the music didn't sound as immersive when I put it on. the median tips as was the outside world. Then turn it off and it almost felt like a difference between day and night, place the headphones correctly in your ears for the best experience and lastly comfort.
I was never the biggest fan of in-ear headphones, but these have officially changed my view on them with their quantity. of comfort I'm not sure if it's their size, their light weight and the lack of wires or the various ear tips that will ensure a proper fit for your own ears, but I don't really feel any discomfort with these and sure Other headphones can offer same feeling, but many other headphones have physical button controls on the sides that force you to press these in-ear headphones even more into your ears, which then leads to discomfort. The touch controls on the Galaxy headphones are perfectly implemented.
I keep comfort in mind, so to summarize all this information in a few sentences, I can still wholeheartedly recommend the Galaxy Buds to anyone, audio files aside, but other than that, they are a perfect option for anyone who work at a desk. There are some minor problems. The product is perfect, but for me they don't take away anything from what makes these buds a great product to own and use.
