was practically a dumping ground for all the things I didn't want to deal with while I was working on the rest of the house. house, so there was a lot of clutter and random things lying around, the first thing obviously was to clean everything and not only that but also find a place in a house for everything, so I started with the big things and just put everything away where it was .

I was supposed to have the storage unit that I needed to clean out because I wanted to reuse it and I didn't have enough space in this room anyway, so I just cleaned out all the drawers on the floor so I could see. everything at a glance and I was able to decide where everything is supposed to go because this room is so small I only wanted to keep the essentials in here that's why I didn't keep this unit but luckily my room is right next door so I put everything away . there and if I need something while I work, it is still very close.

There were a lot of screws in the walls from the previous tenants and I couldn't really use them for anything because of the way they were placed, so I just went ahead and fixed all the holes in the walls. It was very satisfying to see the room completely clean and this is what it looks like, you can tell it's a very small room and there are a lot of things I needed to use it for, so I made some sketches just to figure out how I could make it work. I started with the things I knew for sure, so I knew I had to have a filming desk and I had to put it against the window to get natural light and I also needed another desk for my computer and my work.

I really wanted to have a place where I could relax so I thought an armchair would be perfect next to the door and then the rest of the space I used pretty much just for storage and decoration, and I also knew I wanted to put a rug in here to make things easier . I decided from the beginning that my color scheme was going to be bamboo, white, black and green, of course, because I wanted to have a lot of plants. The first thing I knew was that I wanted to have a lot of plants. What I wanted to do was replace the door.

This room is very small and that solid door closed it off even more, so I bought another one from Wayfarer. It was very difficult to install the door, I'm not going to lie, it took many hours because I had to cut space for the hinges and also for the trunk, which I actually chose to have this small and simple one that didn't require as much work as the normal ones. I just put these simple knobs that screwed into the door so that way I didn't have to drill everything and just used one screw to secure them in case I wanted to change them later so I didn't want to make too many holes but this door It has glass panels so when you close it it doesn't feel like you are in this small space and I also love the color of it a lot more.

It will combine very well with the rest of the furniture. The first piece of furniture I assembled was the Ikea shelving system which has These two vertical bars screwed to the wall at three points each, so it was a challenge to make sure everything was straight and spaced correctly, but after about a hour I managed to install the first shelf I put here. It's the one with the drawers, it's actually designed to be used as a desk if you want, but it's too narrow for me. I only bought it for the extra storage in those drawers and I also think it adds a little more interest than normal. shelves I didn't use the knobs that came with the shelf because I found others that I liked a little more and I think changing the knobs on your furniture is a really easy way to add more personality and make them fit your style, which is why So I have a small collection of knobs so I ended up with the rest of the shelves and what I love about the system is that you can buy as many shelves as you want and there are also different sizes so you can customize it and I know you move them up and down depending on what you want to put on them, right next to the shelves will be my computer desk and I decided to fix the monitor on the wall, so I found this adjustable wall mount on Amazon, it was really cheap. but it is great quality and the reason I bought it is because my desk was going to be quite small and I wanted to save space by not having to place the monitor on the desk, but the angle is also adjustable so I can watch movies from the another side of the room on the couch is going to be which is perfect.

I then moved on to assembling the desks which was very easy, the top came already assembled with the drawers and everything so all I had to do was put on the legs for the computer desk I decided to add an LED strip on the back, you can find them on Amazon in the fall, they come in lots of different lengths and colors and I really like the effect when it's against the wall. I really like using them at night because it's much nicer on the eyes than my overhead lights and they also connect to your computer with USB so you don't have to worry about having free outlets or anything.

I put the other desk right up against the window, this is where I film my videos, so I wanted to have as much light as possible for this one. I use the knobs that come with a desk on the outside drawers and for the middle one I found this interesting looking knob that I thought would add more interest to this desk. I'm not going to put any other decorations on it because it needed to be tidy at all times and I thought this would be a perfect way to add something to it next. I really wanted to hang some curtains because the window isn't really finished, like it doesn't have a frame or a sill or anything, so I wanted to hide that a little bit and also when you put curtains up it creates the illusion that the window is a little bit bigger. , which is something I really wanted, so I bought these curtains from IKEA.

I think they are the cheapest curtains they have, but I love the way they look. They are white and transparent and you can cut them to size without ruining them because they have no hem at the bottom. So I used this wooden dowel to place them because I thought the color would complement the rest of the furniture. I also wanted to put up blinds because the curtains are transparent and do not protect against the sun at all. I wanted something to diffuse the light, especially when I'm filming, if I could take you back to me, show me what was right, so I really wanted to put a mirror here because I wanted to open up the space and create the illusion of a bigger room, but Putting it together was one of the most challenging parts because it's a very heavy mirror so I had to use these heavy duty screws and anchors and it took me most of the rest of the day, but here's what the mirror looks like.

I absolutely fell in love with it when I saw it in TK Maxx. I just worked out the color and details. I think it's quite unique and is also large enough to create the illusion of a larger room. Next I was putting together the Ikea armchair I think this is one of their basic armchair designs, but I bought it because it was a good balance between price and reliability, so I put it in the corner of the room next to the mirror, in that moment finally there was the desk chair. They delivered it and I had to put it together, which was actually very easy.

I only had to secure the legs with the four screws that came. I was worried that it might not be comfortable enough to sit on for eight hours a day or more, but after putting the cushion it came with and a pillow on the backrest, it's actually really very comfortable and I've been using it for a while every day and I haven't had any problems, so when I finished assembling Virtually all the furniture, the rug was finally delivered and it would have been much easier to put it up while the room was still empty, but I still didn't want to ruin it with all the assembly of the furniture, so I just had to walk. and live things while I place it.

I also purchased this rug from Wayfarer and I love the design so much that I feel like this rug makes a big difference in this room. It's white so it will require more maintenance but I think it was worth it so at this point it was finally time to start setting up so I bought this unit from Ikea to put my computer in but I left one of the back pieces to be able to pass the cables through there and also. To give the computer ventilation, I really wanted to hide all the cables and stuff, that's why I bought this unit because it looks a lot cleaner and I ran some tests to see if the computer overheats, but luckily it doesn't.

Because it has enough space and ventilation, I also needed a place to hang my headphones, so I used this random stand I had and screwed it to the side of the unit. I know you can find real headphone mods that look much better. but I didn't really care because it's under the desk and not really visible, so I started thinking about decorations and where I was going to put everything, so I put this little shelf above the monitor because I wanted to put some plants on it. Up there I also bought this plant stand to put in the corner between the desks because I couldn't really use that space for anything else and it's a pretty dark corner so I wanted the planes to be elevated.

I also found these cute little shelves. That was perfect for putting more plants on the side of the mirror and filling in the blank space on the wall, so now for the most fun part of adding the decorations and finishing touches, I started by placing a large plant near the desk in this basket wicker and on top I put my YouTube play button. I found this cute photo frame, but I didn't really have anything to put in it, so I thought I'd make something for myself. I jumped into a rowing chair and looked for some classes for inspiration and found this. a really cool one that teaches you how to create these types of geometric doodles and actually complements the pattern of the rug quite well.

I was really happy about it, but it was really fun to do and I think it's great if you can do something. by hand because it automatically has a certain value and it's a lot more personal, so I'll definitely link this class below, but speaking of Skillshare, I really want to thank you for sponsoring today's video. I always wanted one and this was the perfect place, so I installed a hook in the ceiling to hang it. I couldn't find a nicer plant hanger, but I'll definitely switch it out when I do. The shelves are right next to the desk where I go to work and are pretty much in my view all day, so I really wanted to fill them with as many plants as I could and just make it a nice place to look at. I also put my bullet journal and sketchbooks in there for easy access and on the top shelves I just placed a few more blueprints and a couple more. decoration pieces being together take me back I had a feeling but the feeling is being all together take me back with you I had a feeling but the feeling went well guys so that was the final reveal this definitely took a long time but it was so worth it because this is where I'll be spending most of the day, so I really wanted it to be inspiring and welcoming and I wanted to put a lot of thought into all the details that I have to say, though I think.

Editing this video was even harder than putting everything together, but anyway I really hope you enjoyed it.
