wooden which is definitely a certain style of garden which is quite common which is also very good for upkeep and things like that you don't have to do a lot of pruning or weeding or anything but yeah the main feature of the garden is this tree here it's called an internal view up bwaah tree it's pretty well known it has fruit it's commonly eaten I think in June or something like that but an internal Bua is I guess it's a similar related species but it's different it doesn't fruit the same way but it's got these kind of nice skinny logs here and the girl is very very fast and the other main feature here is the water fountain is it the water or the stone base and I should say the stone basin really I should say this was made by tamaki son who is a sculptor from gifu prefecture and the stone is all from gifu and it is also called Cujo Cujo Ichi which refers to the river the headwaters of the river where it comes from w This is kudo villa and e It is designed in a way that is natural.

Here he didn't do anything on the top except carving out the sink area and then the bottom here the bottom two posts fit together but they're a bit machined. but in a rough way it's designed to have a lot of nice texture here that you can see and that sits on top of this foundation stone it's designed to be worn it's not designed to be looked at though I think it really looks cool and we use it here with this pipe so you can open the faucet a little bit and slide it in like this and as you can see it drains to the bottom in a really cool way.

I really enjoy that and as you pointed out to me before the whole garden difference between when it's wet and when it's dry like all the reflections and stuff is great yeah we think only plants need water but there's the Japanese gardening expression that says rocks really need water that's when they come to life and all it takes is for you to look at it to really understand i think the difference between one being dry when one is wet oh yeah like i said this isn't meant to being art it is meant to be used so the idea is you get out of the toilet and you can wash your hands like this and there will be a cloth to clean your hands yeah and another way you can use it what i really like is to use it like water pumps so you take we plug this case in the area and then you fill it like this and it will drip and when the water starts to come down it has this nice dripping sound it's designed to add a little bit of calm to the space. harmony and you mentioned drew maybe you can show exactly where that was machined the way it falls off the side this is the only part other than the sink that was actually hand sculpted and it's hard to see from there , but you can tell right under here there's kind of a chunk that's been taken out, this was hand carved to make sure that the place where it drips naturally, which is here, is accentuated so that it falls in the right area, so which even the way the water falls is as planned, unfortunately i messed it up by getting another part of that lid wet and so on. it affected the display a bit but even with that level of precision we not only know where it falls from but how it will fall depending on how thick the current is all taken out beforehand and then carved in stone by hand is something pretty impressive the level of depth of planning and design that some of these computers know Passman does is really very inspiring forward right there this is the original position of where the toilet would be obviously not as modern as this with the nice seats with heating and all that, but the space is exactly the same and they rebuilt it using

traditional

methods. ew that chichi hut since yukata is the dirt wall oh yeah yeah and also the choice of materials they used in terms of the wooden frame and stuff like that this is designed to be fragrant unfortunately you guys watching can't experience this but it's designed to be fragrant in a really nice way with the smell of wood and designed to counteract any unpleasant odors that might come up in the toilet the funk the funk works it comes back out separate view of the garden and if you look from here you can see we are very close to neighbors and apartment buildings behind but we get along and it feels private it's like you're really close but you know it's still personal space exactly this is the main downstairs area as i mentioned before i wanted highlight the main features of the place, which were the common spaces that we all used, as well as the garden, so if you come from the front and Inside Once you can see the yard immediately, you'll have a clear, unobstructed line of sight and movement to get out.

You can enter. You can work here at the standing desk and even if you're here working someone else coming in will do it. I still have full access to that garden view mmm and I really wanted to highlight that and make it easier for people to move around so you don't have to run between desks or other people if you need to go to the bathroom or something, very cool. come to my room now so one of the cool things i mentioned before is that it's zoned for business president so my office is here and the office actually officially stops here on this line so it's not so clean on the stairs but yeah it's a private area now so this belongs to me and this belongs to the company.

I see that I understand you as if that were not figuratively speaking on paper, that has been clarified. I see that this is still a lot, so come to my

house

if you want. Be very careful on the stairs a Like I said, it's like a ladder. Welcome to my very small eyes. It's not much. This is more or less how it was. They haven't really changed much in this space. it was originally going to be used as a desk but i thought hey i have a drum kit this is a nice place for it so that's where i practice my drumming and here is my room come on this was left in its original form and they repurposed all the original sliding doors here the kazuma and some of the light fixtures and stuff and all these sliding doors have been reused and repaired where possible i have my own little balcony here it's not very wide i can't have a bbq very many they throw pipes at home and look at the garden from above and there it is, I mean I like it right now, just the way it is, but unfortunately all the leaves have recently fallen off, so it's buried at the moment, but usually this it is very bright green it provides a really big screen for privacy which is really great especially when you live near the big condo right there.
I was also very lucky because they built the public garden for the condominium right next to it or the garden right behind my

house

so you can see that there is something like that. nice Japanese maple which is usually this bright red so I have a double garden and double privacy so I don't feel crowded in here even though it's in pretty close quarters people always comment that it's really spartan, I don't have anything here, usually what I would do is lay out a futon at night and I would sleep in this room in this area here, which I think Dave can attest to is quite comfortable when you sleep on natural tatami.
A deeper level of sleep that you don't normally get in a bed or on the floor Super comfortable yes so there's usually more to life is you pack up the things you're not using right now so we can take a look that we might have . a meeting here i've done our meet ings with partners in that room but at night i might go and roll out my futon and that's my room no it's kinda multi purpose if you look here we just put up the screens then back in the alley and the street is very pretty I love these screens they are really effective because they let the wind through and at this time when it's very cold it's like you don't want the wind not to enter your house because this frost is very bitter, but in the summer this makes you It's life saving so I can get some privacy and block the sun oh yeah without interrupting the flow of the wind that's where the key is and so you can see we have wind coming in from the front. the wind comes in and we're out the back and it'll also swirl down to the ground floor again so everything about this build is designed to ensure maximum very hot summers here exactly so that's it i mean that's the

tour
