I feel sympathy for the striking workers, but I also find it incredibly frustrating when there are no alternatives. It affects the audience, but I guess that's the point. Otherwise it wouldn't be a very good strike, it's difficult for someone who takes the train frequently. The transportation department says targeting a holiday weekend was a cynical decision. The government says it has played its role in trying to end this strike by facilitating what it calls fair and reasonable pay offers. He says it's the union leaders who they are. refuse to present those offers to their members, it is a real shame that the offer we have presented to them, which is worth 13 for the lowest paid member, has not been put to a single vote for the rmt membership and if we were, if we could to do it clearly, that is one way we could move forward and find a resolution to this dispute since the railway dispute began, nurses, senior doctors and ambulances have taken industrial action in the NHS.
