More Interesting Facts About,

He is doing very well and let me tell you that when he came out of surgery we had the best neurosurgeon you could imagine. I hope she stays forever and we have joked that if she moved we would move in with her, but she came. After surgery he was already in recovery and she went to see him and two kind nurses from our local Children's Hospital lately brought his quilt into the surgery room with him and that way he could have it when he woke up and I just that. touched my mom's heart, I think they both, yeah, I think that was absolutely adorable, so they put it on him and while he was in recovery, our neurosurgeon came in and said, "Oh my gosh, these quilts are so cute, right?" are we giving?" I gave them to the kids now and the nurse said no.

I think the mom did this and then our neurosurgeon said, "Hey, you want to make some quilts to give to the kids coming out of surgery," so I've been thinking. about that and that looks really super fun. It's quite appropriate that we're talking about that in this video because the curator of Quilters Candy Box, my name is Elizabeth. I worked with her on another project. I asked for some fabric. from her, so I had a dialogue with her about the package that had come from her that was to make our American flag quilt in July and she posted on Instagram yesterday.

In fact, if any of you follow Quilters Candy Box on Instagram, she posted a photo that she is creating a pattern that is Band-Aids and it is the cutest pattern ever. I immediately messaged him on Instagram, what the kids call it, direct message, the social meaning, so I immediately texted him and I was like, “I have to have this pattern.” By the time it comes out, I need to make some mini quilts, not mini clips, but some quilts for the hospital kids coming out of surgery. The Band-Aid is the perfect quilt for that, so I can't wait to get my hands on it. that and getting my hands on some fabric so I can make just a bunch of those quilts and take them to the hospital in your doctor's bag oh yeah, quilts in the doctor's bag oh yeah, the little medical bag Wow, that was the tutorial a long time ago What is it like if you haven't worked?
It's pretty cool, it's a throwback, it's a zipper bag that we made and at the end I talked about how you could change the zipper bag into red and white fabric and put it like a cross it and turn it into a medical bag, medical alert bag, we made one for our son and everyone loved it so if you haven't seen a tutorial come on over there to make a cheeky plug a cheeky plug so with that being said everyone harasses Elizabeth. over the

quilter

s crave and I haven't seen it so I know yours you can't stay don't wrap no spoiler alerts here I'm going to break that down yeah okay let's dive right into this so I'm going to first go with the food because it's just a touch of lemon drops from Batman, then after all it's natural.
I've never had a lemon drop in my life like I've never had one in my life oh no bail yeah so I'll use the ones made in small batches of tangy sweet melt in your mouth goodness that's a Denver Colorado slogan, so I'm going to keep this out of my reach because we have a thread here, it looks like a cranky United States incorporated twelve pesos what's the difference in the weights, I never understood the weight, um, it's the thickness of the thread with the yarn weight, okay, I'm sure someone has a much better explanation than I do, oh yeah, I didn't understand the explanation. this looks like a little piece of art yeah 12 wait there are 450 yard spools but that's a really pretty color pretty colors speaking of band aids we have a pack of band aids oh how cute those are from Glory Hole, right? a box of samples not too long ago and my kids call them our Mommy Band-Aids because they don't want to wear sewing themed Band-Aids because Mommy doesn't want to wear a Disney or cartoon themed band oh you mean Star Wars or Spider -Man or whatever, all those famous people in Yeah, I had my own band-aids, that's cool because I'm actually dating us.
I would like this to be here in the comments below. I know we've gotten Band-Aids before on a different pair. boxes and I think they are quite a novelty item, something you wouldn't normally buy for yourself, yes, but I know she likes them, so yes, why not? Yes, there were some different opinions when we got it. In another box earlier in the year there were some different opinions, but I think it's funny, it's not something I would normally buy for myself, so for someone to surprise me in a subscription box, I'm totally done. Is this a Riley Blake box? themed box because we have another Riley Blake.
I can't see Joshan. Oh well, she's a Riley Blake designer. And what is the planner in me? She is so happy I don't know. I love when designers come out with washi. tape because while you're designing in your quilting planner it's so fun to use coordinating washing so you have washi tape for different themes yeah I'm in the wrong business okay these are these sewing labels from Abel yeah so their labels for the back of your quilts are also from Tasha Noel of Riley Blake and there seems to be a dozen on there, they are so pretty, one of them says handmade especially for you because I love you, handmade with love, they are great.
I made a quilt for my best friend for her baby shower and I didn't put a label on it until then. She had never given them labels and someone at church when we were having the baby shower was like you. wrong, you have to label your quilts because what happens years later and you have no idea who made this quilt or it ends in goodwill or something, you want someone to appreciate the value of being handmade so that's another thing I'm going to ask for comments below because we have a pretty good discussion about whether we should start labeling her quilts because she makes things like that and for certain reasons, but there are some people who don't so I'd like to hear some comments below for Just so we read, these are great just for mini quilts or regular quilts or whatever you don't really want to personalize with your name or the date or something, this is a cute little cute one, so that's okay, I'll have to throw. anything outside of this box or just you, well I'm just diving in, you were able to get the last box I was helping punch out and get some snacks so another Riley Blake pattern but I can't see what's in it so I think it's also Tasha Noelle's fabric, it would make sense if um, but you know what I don't know, it's on the hood, it's a bottom.
I'm just going to say that I don't feel like they did this for Me because I usually pick up the first thing and take it away. This is a fat quarter bundle of seaside fabric by Tasha Noelle. This just came out, if I'm not mistaken. The fabric has adorable prints reminiscent of summer days spent by the sea, are you really unfolding all the fabric right now? I think it's cute, yeah, there we go, come on, there's a reason why 1 out of 20 times I pulled out the fabric and you liked it, oh, that's cute, yeah, I like it, I like it. the blue in the floral, this reminds me a lot of that color combination from another designer with Riley Blake, that's great, I like those beaches, yeah, oh, that's pretty, I like this, it's like a pennant, you know , they can't see this.
I'm so far away that's okay Oh lobsters red lobsters and pink lobsters that's cute I like this one I have a funky fabric thingy me the owner of I'm pulling out the last one because I think it's blue okay, I'm I'm so used to doing it alone, like this that latest is a seaside star pattern by Tasha Noel. It's a star pattern that is so cute. I love it. I'm wondering if I can open it because you'll probably get the cape. our whites, how cute, and this is a really well made powder, so sometimes the pattern designers fool you, Tori, the outside is like this really pretty glossy paper, but when you open it up like regular eight and half times eleven. it falls off, but no, this goes through all that shiny paper.
I feel like they last a long time and I like to make notes on them and then they stay as staples in the book, so this is a really cute little star pattern. I'll love it. adorable, very funny, funny, well, to recap, we have a pack of fat quarters. How many fat quarters are there? dear one, two, three, four, five. Okay then, we have a pack of fat quarters and some washi tape. We have an adorable little pattern. I have some thread and some Lori Holt strips. We have a little bit of our little ones there watching.
It's very, very late, just insider advice. Here we film after the kids want to sleep really late at night, it's like 11:30 here and our little one is wide awake for no reason, okay, and then we get some bandaids and thread a pattern, a pack of fat quarters , we have these tags that go inside, we have some fellow guards and their favorite. suit stuff, we have some lemon drops, yeah, so make sure I don't know what you know in the next step.
