PGCE EVIDENCE FOLDER| Vlogtober #28

May 22, 2020
Hello everyone, welcome back to my channel, also welcome back to the Tober vlog. A place is definitely also welcome back to October. Welcome to my channel if you're just joining me and basically if you didn't already know, Toba vlogging is something that I am. until October, so basically it's just an upload every day of October, so it's like an October blog. October. I feel like the lighting is very strange depending on. I'll stay here, as you all have already seen in the title of this video. It's going to be a video about PGC

evidence

folder

s and maybe also about primary education.
pgce evidence folder vlogtober 28
I guess it applies, it's still the

evidence

folder

, but obviously mine is specific to the particular high school of MFL, but that doesn't really matter, no matter what subject. You do it when everything is the same and this is not my only folder I have another one here and oh God it's going to get a little oh my God this is the biggest one here I have another one here can I put it? It's on top, oh yeah, and then I have one here, so yeah, it's dangerous. I am aware that this video will not appeal to everyone.

More Interesting Facts About,

pgce evidence folder vlogtober 28...

The forward slash applies to everyone, so I mean you might want to look at it to get an idea. I have an idea about this, but I feel like most of the people who see this are going to be people who are actually studying teacher training to be teachers and who are actually in the process of making that evidence portfolio, so I'll go in a minute to review and show them. The intricate details of my portfolio explain how everything is laid out, but I just wanted to do an introduction first to introduce you to the video, so obviously this is how I set up my portfolio.
pgce evidence folder vlogtober 28
If I did it again I would definitely fix it. differently and I would definitely recommend organizing your evidence folders into standards, so obviously there are eight standards that I've forgotten. Now there are eight standards, so I would recommend dividing your folder or folders into eight standards, maybe two folders with four standards in each. I think now looking back it would be a good choice, but I actually fixed mine just fine. I have this here, this is the bulk of my evidence folder and in front you can see how I've organized it that way and then throughout it all, I had just let myself find a piece here.
pgce evidence folder vlogtober 28
I just had like a sticky note and then I wrote down what standards I appealed to, so there's a specific piece of appealed evidence applied to standard uterus and standard eight. I set goals, challenge and generate higher levels. levels of enthusiasm, participation and commitment to learning in all students, that is standard 1b and standard for eating. Pupils are strongly motivated, driven to meet high expectations and consistently challenging, responsible and conscientious. I ask you to work or study in my first section. I have weekly reviews. of progress, yes, at the end of that I literally have a table where I write wherever I meet the standard up to standard three and any other standard that I want to address and then in the next section I have lesson observations.
These are from my mentor and I would say they are very, very vital pieces of evidence. I would recommend that your mentor, your mentor, your subject matter mentor or your professional mentor observe you at least once a week, obviously they will. observe you during each lesson because you can't be left alone to teach, but I would recommend that they make you an official lesson observation form at least once a week, maybe sometimes twice a week, maybe when it comes to the end of placement two times a week because obviously that's when you're going to improve the most, so with this different universities do it differently and like I said, I'll go into this in detail in a minute, but I'm just giving you a quick overview, by the way, I should probably mention now that I actually got an outstanding score in my general teaching, so this evidence portfolio is rated outstanding, so it's the best you can get, so if I do say so myself, it's good advice because obviously it's the best you can What I can say is that the way our university did it is that they have each standard and then they encourage the teacher to rate the initial development as good or outstanding and then the teacher just writes a little comment on each frame and then grade it so this is from one of my beginnings anyway yeah it's not towards the end because here I'm well developing well developing well and then in addition to those standards that are already highlighted, again I did the post-it know and show and just highlighted a few others. standards to which it also applies, for example with this standard 8b pendant.
I consult effectively with different colleagues as appropriate knowing when to draw on their standard help and advice for D I am critically reflective in systematically evaluating my own practice judging its impact on all groups of learners so that that standard can use anything that is an assessment of a lesson that you have done yourself and maybe you can write a note if your teacher has given you some feedback like my last observation here and maybe you could analyze it and say in the future I will do this and then that counts as a standard for Dean and I tried to support that this applies to all lesson observations.
So I have all my lesson observations in this section that I'm going over very quickly and then Again, I have my post-it notes here, so this is all a snob survey. All observations from Shion's lessons. Make sure you get a lot of good ones and then here are some more comments we sent you via email. Even if they are not done on the official lesson observation sheet, you can still use them as evidence if your teacher ever gives you any feedback, even if it is verbal, which will probably be most of the time you receive feedback both verbally and writings. write it on an official form so you can ask your mentor or whoever is giving you feedback to write it in an email just so you have it as evidence so you can refer to it or you could write it yourself, but I recommend doing it pretty quickly otherwise you will find it. you'll forget and then you can use it as evidence, so my teachers gave it to me via email most of the time, so I've used it as evidence, as you can see.
I just used my post-it notes. I even have some handwritten ones here. There are handwritten comments from some teachers and then I move on to the next section. What is this? These are my lesson plans and as I've shown you, I've been the post-it note and it just shows how each standard is referenced in my lesson plans and so on in my lesson plan. I have the learning objective. Learning outcomes assessment opportunities. I have the minute-by-minute breakdown of the lesson as well as the evaluation of the teaching and learning objectives, etc. and at least three teacher standards to be evidenced during the lesson, we do it at that time.
I have my post-it note, so I've done it in every lesson I've had. taught, but obviously I didn't put them all in, you just want the ones that have the best evidence, so that's all my lesson plans in motion, it's my Mac section, these are more lesson plans, they have a lot of them, a lot of opportunities of evidence and more lesson plans, most of these are lesson plans and the next section is for assessment, so for example for the assessment that I use, if you use Kahoot, then you can download the students' scores and then , if you download them and then print them out, that's a good way to get evidence, it shows people's overall performance and the percentage of correct answers, incorrect answers and it just gives you a lot of different data that can be standard 6 C standard 6 C I use a variety of relevant data to monitor student progress and set objectives.
Lesson planning is based on how well students meet the objectives, so obviously this gives evidence of using a variety of data, but you may also need to write a note, so based on to this information, next lesson I will recap and then an area that, for example, the students did not do well and just to show how it will be used to inform future lessons, I got some of these from their stubs and then, ok, I made a year 10 tutoring program and I took the documents from that and I used that as different evidence standard one, two, three and eight and then I got the program of record.
I have safeguarding information and the welcome sheets that I was given when I joined the school and some training days and then I actually have the student records and that has all that personal information that obviously I can't show but that can be used as evidence, you just have to make it anonymous, so leave the students' names blank, but it just shows that you are using that to inform how you plan lessons and take students into account, for example if they have any learning difficulties or If, for example, I had a student who was bilingual, actually his first language was Spanish, he was in my class, so obviously it was good to know that before the lesson because then I could adapt the lesson for him from the first lesson in Instead of finding out only in the first lesson and then having to wait until the second, the behavior policy you can use for Santa Date I used it for standard 8 B.
I am standard 7 B and then I got like him a map of the school and some documents they gave me at the beginning and then I have evidence of the students' work. I have evidence of a student's assessment and I use the six a standard for assessment and you can also evidence the feedback that you give them, you can use that as evidence and then in terms of data recording. I have written it down so that their grades from the parent afternoon evaluation and on the set day, whatever you do, try to obtain some type of similar documentation that can act as evidence; otherwise you can write it down, let's say I attended this day inserted and then give the date and then get someone to sign it, let's say signed by a boss from blah blah blah parents night.
I just received the night flyer from my parents and my name tag and then received feedback from a student. I loved doing that, for example, if I did or if I had done a lesson that I thought was really good or I just used to do it sometimes. I used to ask students to give their opinion, so I asked them to write it down on a post-it and then use that as evidence and yeah, that runs over the next few pages and ah, here's some stuff, especially for standard eight, it's hard to get a solid wall of evidence, so examples of this are breaking one's duty and forming words in forum meetings. at staff meetings, department meetings, year group meetings and weekly teaching meetings or as: Don't calm down with different things and sports in the afternoon, Monday morning greetings, assemblies and I look at the time duty, so I just I wrote and said I have some downtime duties.
I worked with you on all four, then I had my mentor sign them to confirm it, and then I just made a little sticky note to document which standards it applies to. I actually took pictures of the board at the end of the lesson so it was when we were in an ICT classroom, so I wrote on the board all the websites we used and told them, basically, how I used to do those lessons: I would tell the students you can go to this website or this website and then after that, the first 20 minutes you can go to this one that has a game or whatever, so I basically wrote down all the websites in the board and then I took a photo of it and then said it was standard 1b and Set goals that challenge and generate high levels of enthusiasm for participation and commitment to learning in all people.
Standard to be I have a deep and detailed understanding of people's capabilities and prior learning based on the systematic use of focused assessments and standards for students. strongly motivated to meet high and consistently challenging expectations for responsible and conscientious people, I asked you to work and study, okay, so we used to show my homework at my school, so I only took screenshots of when I set the homework, not for every home I set up, obviously but, you know, just as evidence for my portfolio, I just made a few different screenshots of different tasks that I saved the information to and yeah, I used it as evidence and then I took screenshots of emails emails that I sent to different staff members to show. good communication I used for the 8b standard.
I effectively consult with different colleagues as appropriate knowing when to turn to their help and advice and then just different emails, for example once a student misbehaved and I gave him c4 which is bad behavior, kant and had clients I had to email the MFL director about it, so I took ascreenshot of the email and was able to use it as the behavior is consistently implemented according to standard 7a of the school's behavior policy. I am proactive and make a significant contribution to the wider life and ethos of the school. I have a clear understanding of Teacher Legal Responsibility Standard 8a.
Yes, I would go through all of this in detail and standard by standard in a minute, but like I said, I wanted to give you an overview that takes a while and then In our school we used to record online behavior, so again this screenshot of that capture screenshot of my emails because I had my own school email address and then I have some evidence of the work that we used so we did a short lesson once we finished so I have the recipe and then I have other worksheets work that I have here that show how I have used differentiation etc., I plan and teach well structured lessons, some before and then, oh, then we have to do. a knowledge of the subject and Richmond as well, and then here I have my professional mentor who gave me a very nice positive feedback, so now I'm going to go through all my portfolios specifically, I'm going to go through each standard. so I'm going to say one standard .
I'm going to tell it, go over what it is, and then show you evidence, examples of evidence that I used in my portfolio, etc., yeah, I'm just going to show you everything that I've done. So here is my main folder. I labeled it like this with each section and this was all I based it on. This is the standards table. I printed it out, so I printed out my standards table and actually highlighted which standard. I thought I was at the end, so I did this with my professional mentor, so she agreed. I highlighted each section so you can see that from the beginning it is well developed and outstanding, so I have chosen to excel in almost all of them.
You can see here, it has a standard set of high expectations that inspire, motivate and challenge people. You have a standard one a B C oh yeah that's it it goes to four this one yeah just starts all ABC um so I did that for all my stanzas just highlighted where I thought I was doing so I'll show you some examples of evidence that I have for standard one, one B and C, so standard one A is to establish a safe and stimulating environment for students. is rooted in mutual respect and to excel and has to use innovative and creative approaches to establish a safe and stimulating environment that keeps students interested in learning, so I would recommend evidencing something like a time when you have used the policy of behavior. at school, you could print out the school's behavior policy and use that as part of your evidence and then also perhaps a lesson evaluation where you have imposed one of the behavior consequences or a well-respected positive behavior point that enables a wide range of approaches to learning and classroom organization, so again relates to behavior and is able to demonstrate innovative and creative strategies to establish and maintain a safe and purposeful learning environment, so they can There are different ways in which positive behavior has been maintained, according to standard 1b. is to set goals that stretch and challenge students of all backgrounds, abilities and dispositions and to excel, you must set goals that challenge and generate high levels of enthusiasm for participation and commitment to learning in all students.
You can use the learning objective as one to one. piece of evidence, so only learning objectives that challenge and generate high levels of enthusiasm, for example, could make a challenge like the Chile challenge, where it progressively becomes more difficult standard 1c to consistently demonstrate positive attitudes, values and expected behaviors. of the students, the most outstanding thing is that it always effectively demonstrates the positive attitudes, values and remuneration expected of all people and these show a positive impact on the conduct and behavior of all people, so It could evidence, for example, an evaluation of a lesson in which students have behaved well. and also ask your professional mentor to confirm that you demonstrate those positive attributes, so now I'll show you some examples.
Well, here's a standard example so you can see that my mentor gave me feedback at that time. I circled the G for good, so that's four standard, one, B and C, so that's evidence for good. Here's some other evidence that can be used for good, so yeah, you can continue using any evaluations from the lessons and then as I continue with my evaluations get better and you can see this one is great, yeah, and it's just a comment from my mentor regarding the lesson. You can pause and read the comment if you want, and yes, she circled the A's, it's a great example of a piece. of evidence here is some other very simple evidence for the standard one says that you told the students that you expected everyone to get at least an r1 today another is a positive behavior point and she circled outstanding again here is more evidence for the standard one A lot of this is also based on when your university mentor comes and does a lesson observation, so this is one of the last observations my university mentor made and she also gave me four outstanding standards, one, B and C , and your comment is written. there and circled outstanding, okay, so moving to the standard, to the standard, is to promote good progress and results according to the standard of the people to be responsible for the progress and results of the students and below the standard;
In fact, I highlighted some outstanding ones and some good ones, I mean. there are standards - a B C D and E for the standard - so I will show you some examples of standard - with respect to standard 2 to be responsible for the progress and results of the students. I think that's what your in-depth systematic evaluation of The impact of teaching says. Great evidence of that would just be the evaluations of your lessons after each lesson and how they can be adapted to promote the best progress and achievement results, so which says that you fully understand and are able to model the school's policy and practice, so perhaps you have evidence of the school's policies and then evidence of when you have used them and evidence of how you have sustained and secured them progress, so you can use Kahoot to show how progress has been achieved, be it a table of student results, plan teaching to build on students' abilities and prior knowledge.
That's why she says here that the plans are differentiated and personalized, so when you make your lesson plans you can take that into account. Take note of the specific ways you have differentiated for each student, if necessary, Santa Claus to see, guide students to reflect on the progress they have made. and their emerging needs, perhaps you could spend at least 5 minutes at the end of the lesson, to allow students to write how they think they have progressed during that lesson and, if there is something they would like to summarize, you could also do an assessment for learning so throughout the lesson, if you're doing a task, ask students to raise their hands if they're very confident, if they're okay, or if they're not confident, and that will give you a good indication and then you can write that down. in your lesson plan, use it as standard evidence to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of how people learn and this impacts teaching, so again, lesson assessments.
Yes, I would suggest lesson assessments for standard 2d standard to encourage students to adopt a responsible and conscientious attitude towards themselves. work and study, so setting tasks, yes, I would say setting tasks and learning objectives right now, I'll show you some evidence of the standard; of course, lesson observations, as I showed you last time, so I get A's here. this is what she said the students made excellent progress against the outcomes the planning considered all the activities necessary to achieve the outcome and there was a very strong focus on the challenge there were a couple of opportunities there were ample opportunities for productive use of the language you kept expectations high to ensure people's progress the books were up to date with advice on the next step taken here is further evidence of using Kahoot to promote competence and maintain engagement and the path and a fast pace until the beginning of the lesson good use of verbal praise and the are a DFL system to promote engagement and progress and that is excellent, so here is an example of one of my teaching evaluations that is attached to one of my lesson plans as well that I just made a comment on the lesson where I just reflected on the lesson and how I've actually done here, comment room, I went ahead and said what I would do in the next lesson and I have evidence that there is a 2e standard, since its Students are strongly motivated to comply.
I am constantly challenging expectations of a responsible and conscientious attitude to work and study. here I have recorded comments from individual students, so I said that I think both students lacked motivation, were extreme, easily distracted and did not contribute to the lesson, so I actually said standard three here, so the standard is evidence. During the lesson, encourage students to ask questions and encourage participation and reward positive behavior, so the second is the standard, and then I have also referenced the standard; here I said standard to say Tuesday. I identify the personal progress and learning needs of each student. referred to above and standard 2d I have detailed knowledge and understanding of how pupils learn and how to overcome potential barriers to learning standard three is to demonstrate good knowledge of the subject and curriculum to standard three to have A secure knowledge of the relevant subject matter and curriculum encourages and maintains pupils' interest in the subject and addresses misunderstandings, so again this can be from lesson observations, a critical understanding of the developments in subject and curriculum areas and promote the value of scholarship, so I have managed to find an example for the standard. three, so this is really just an evaluation of one of my lessons and a reference standard 3a.
I am very confident and have a competent level of subject knowledge related to MFL and the broader curriculum I can foster. Maintain growing student interest in am FL by offering engaging teaching episodes and showing that all students make the progression and addressing misunderstandings. I also used an email that a teacher wrote to me as feedback on the lesson and I also mentioned it as standard three, so this is the evaluation of the lesson. done by my university mentor, so she has written well in the target language, do you need to repeat in English? you use students sometimes you follow this you use students I don't know what that says language well something and based on the sentence confidence in the language delivery of the language more grammar I really don't know what it is about, but she told me excellent and again, thanks to my mentor in the matter, he said that you had obviously researched this topic very well and chose a topic, music and social networks, which is very current, outstanding painting is found in three sure knowledge. of the materials you know you will need to improve your use of the target language was good at first but somewhat deviated from what you expected throughout the lesson outstanding that is just good, but you still know quite good outstanding improved use of the target language destination in the classroom or in the instructions and much of your teaching talk is now done in Spanish excellent outstanding standard for planning and teaching well-structured lessons this is simply easy just evidence your lesson plans and your lesson evaluations and of course your feedback of lessons so that learning is evident through well-paced activities so that you can demonstrate that, through the minute-by-minute steps of your lesson plan, you consistently support all students to develop, improve and apply new knowledge, that's why we're so differentiated, we take risks, we make learning interesting, so every time I've done something unusual in the classroom, so for example, I did a lesson where we made pancakes.
I'll show you some examples. I mean, I don't just want to go over all the substandards because you could do it yourself, so I'll show you. examples, like I said, a lot of my standard 4 is evidence through lesson plans, which I think is the best way because it's about planning and structuring lessons. A bit more than standard 4 here, the standard for learning is evident through well-paced activities andthen I literally have my activities evidenced step by step so there is more evidence for the standard for this is my teaching evaluation so I did the commentary on the lesson and the commentary in the future and I have the reference standard for B and D, so I always support everyone. students to develop, improve and apply knowledge in a variety of circumstances and situations and I reflect and critically evaluate my own practice and judge its impact on students to inform future planning a standard 5 I adapt teaching to respond to the strengths and needs of all students if you have a lesson that you teach at different levels and it would be great to show how you adapt it to each one so that standard 5 let me look at standard 5, so here is an example of one of my latest Nam service forms that she It has given me exceptional. she said the level of challenge was appropriate for this upper group with good questions and grammar throughout the lesson so I actually had year 8 Spanish from the upper group and lower group so my mentor could see the difference of how I adapted those lessons to fit the standard of the students. and also individually within the class as well as how I incorporated differentiation that can be shown in the lesson plans and assessments, so here I have done an evaluation of my teaching as I showed you before and I have referenced the 5d standard because I said that I have an excellent understanding of the diverse needs of all students and am able to effectively adapt teaching and evaluate it to meet the diverse needs of all students.
Here I have assessed an individual student and referenced standard 5a. I said that the lessons are based on I consider individual learning needs and employ differentiation strategies that address students' needs and thus remove barriers to learning and then reference standard 5 B and C. I adapt to individual differences between people and understand the factors that inhibit people's ability to learn. I also have an excellent conscience. of how physical, social and intellectual development can influence people's outcomes, the sixth standard is to make accurate and productive use of assessment, so I think just use a lot of Kahoot. Give an example of an assessment you have used.
Give examples of assessment for learning. them through lesson plans lesson evaluations lesson observations student ratings and also comments that you have given, so if you have written about someone's evaluation, take a photograph of that as evidence, so here I have done my lesson plan and have referenced the standard. 6a I said that I draw on excellent subject knowledge to plan and set challenging tasks based on an accurate assessment of the students' previous skills. The assessment is carried out effectively, so I planned this lesson based on the previous assessment of the lesson, which gave me an idea of where the students are and then I can plan the lesson based on that, so here is an example of the printed Kahoot. standard reference assessment information standard 6c I use a variety of relevant data to monitor student progress and set goals.
Lesson planning is based on how well people meet our six standards and seven manage behavior effectively to ensure a good and safe learning environment, so I basically recommend the behavior policy with annotations and notes on any evidence of when you have carried out the behavior policy, for example if you have written names on the board for positive or negative reasons, take a photograph and use it as evidence if you have logged in online, for example. many schools use Progresso to take screenshots, use it as evidence of what else high expectations are, for example, as we saw before, my teacher said that you said at the beginning of the lesson that you expected everyone to get an R once that be evidence that high expectations managed the class effectively. use approaches that are appropriate to the needs of the students, so this will be in your lesson evaluation, lesson observation, sorry, maintain good relationships with the students again, that should mainly be in your observation, so I will show you some examples, from my last observation I have four. standard seven outstanding then a teacher said that the very consistent application of your behavioral expectations means that this class is not reacting very positively and working well you are very attractive and have a good presence in the room the students were very quiet and all focused on your task the independent dictionary insists a lot on writing things down to listen to it, so it's a good example and then I also highlighted that when referencing it is in seven B C and D and I just went into detail about that, another example of the standard seven is in my evaluation. of teaching one of my lessons, so I reference standard seven B and 7 d.
I have said that I maintain high behavioral expectations that are integral to learning. I have established and maintained a very effective framework for discipline in a consistent and fair manner using a wide range of strategies. I have strong relationships with students to ensure a productive and inspiring learning environment. Ensure any issues relating to the Paiva student are addressed immediately to maximize learning. Specifically, other ways to refer to the 7 D standard in the part where it says good was strong relationships. you could get feedback from people and use it as evidence, which I have back here, so I have my students' feedback in there and then also any issues related to people's behavior are addressed immediately so you can take note of when you have example written on someone's behavior report or taking a photograph of someone's behavior report and using it as evidence.
Last but not least, standard eight meets broader professional responsibilities. Many people have a hard time evidencing this, so I'll walk you through it step by step. um standard eight is to be proactive and make a significant contribution to the broader life and ethos of your school. You have a clear understanding of the legal responsibilities of teachers, so you can evidence this through any email or simply by taking a screenshot of your email account that you have because of that. shows that you know that if you are emailing other staff then it shows that you are proactive and making a meaningful contribution to life in general.
Also, just ask your mentor or someone to sign the things you like as evidence of things to do at school, for example, homework during recess, homework at lunchtime during assemblies and I think other things that you do in terms of that standard eight, being as effective, consulting with different colleagues as appropriate and knowing when to turn to their help and advice so you can use them. screenshots of emails you have used to consult with colleagues and when you have reflected on lesson observations and feedback they have given you, implement standard eight C support staff effectively, so that if you actually have staff in your classroom, how have you used them as a teaching assistant, how to write that into your lesson plan and assessment of professional relationships with support staff and to demonstrate collaborative working and deployment of support staff to maximize the everyone's learning, so write it into your lesson plan and assessment. standard eight D take responsibility for improving teaching through appropriate professional development responding to advice and feedback from colleagues, so write down any feedback you have from teachers, perhaps make a note of how you will take it into account and will use in the future to improve too, if you have attended any training days, keep it as proactive evidence with your own learning and professional development to improve teaching, so simply reflect on your own lessons so that lesson evaluations are a great evidence open to coaching and mentoring, so use your Notes from your weekly mentoring meetings are great evidence and the latest, standard 8 d, communicates effectively with parents regarding the performance and well-being of the students, so the parents' evening is the main thing, but also if you send notes home in the students' diaries, that is great evidence and if there is a phone call home or something, that's great or the days Open houses are great too.
Yes, I said at the beginning that I have more than one folder, these are just important documents, for example, MFL lesson starters, these are just documents. that they gave us in college lesson planning lesson planning checklist I just saved them in a folder just in game in case the target language is used in the classroom things like that and then in this folder, this is my file of career path, so here I have this is from my first placement, actually, this is most of my evidence from the first placement, so as you can see, this is right at the beginning.
It was at the beginning, so this is the same as the previous one, but after the first placement, so you know it was starting. Again I have my observations from the lesson, you can see that I am well well not developing and developing developing developing developing developing starting this is good evidence for 8th standard this is from a school trip so it is contributing to a life wider professional because I went on a school trip as you can see eight is proactive about making a positive contribution to the life and ethos of the school and I just dated it here and I said school trips to museums in Manchester with you eleven twelve and thirteen people here I have a reference standard five to C and D when differentiating and providing a student with this plan during the assessment.
I also helped decorate the classroom with Christmas things, which again contributes to standard eight for providing a professional life, so this is another example of when I have students to give feedback. I just said that I asked the units for anonymous feedback on the lessons at the end of our last lesson and this reference is standard to say encourage students to reflect on how they felt they learned best during the lessons and reflect in 4-d on the effectiveness of the lessons. and teaching approaches. I also did that on that page. I also took pictures of when I graded students' books, so I just wrote here grading books here.
I have marked the work. I don't do it with the schools' grading policy. so they said E, one that I actually remembered, but it had to do with his policy and you know, highlighting where I wrote comments about specific details of the students' work and positive comments and points for improvement and then I only have you. Be highlighted which standards this addresses. I said to provide frequent, consistent, clear feedback that allows students to recognize and explain what they need to do next, and oh my gosh, I didn't even write down what the standard was, but it gives time for students to reflect on the feedback, so that at the beginning of the next lesson just give them time to reflect on them, positive comments and people, yes, and then I have quite a few pages of Mark's student books and then, because I have evidence of this during the first placement.
I didn't need to evidence it again during the second placement because I was obviously already doing it, but yeah, like I said, the second folder is basically just evidence of my first placement and lastly, I also have a fourth folder, I'm not quite sure what it contains . there's a section here to teach the failure of school-based learning, so that's it. I have my weekly reviews of progress assessments and lesson plans, as you can see this is empty, this is again from my first placement and it turns out this is all just lesson plans and assessments from the first placement.
I really hope this video was helpful. I hope maybe you can use it to organize and compile your own evidence folder. I hope it gave you a little more understanding about the concept of it all. and you know how to put it together, at my university they didn't tell us an exact way to put it together, so they just said we could do whatever we wanted, that's why I did it this way and it wasn't like that. until the last day my professional mentor told me that she wanted me to be different, but she hadn't mentioned it at all all year, so it just meant that it took me a while to go through each standard because I didn't realize that I was going to review each standard in order.
I thought I would just go through my portfolio and get a general idea, sowhich I would definitely recommend talking to the person who will evaluate your group at the end of the year. and ask them how they want you to lay it out, but tell them that if you have the evidence there at the end of the day, it doesn't matter how long it will take you to review it, it's whatever works best for you. As long as you have the evidence there, that's the main thing, like mine wasn't exposed exactly the way she wanted, but I still kept an eye on it because she had all the evidence there, so this video has helped you and if It's like that, Don't forget to like and subscribe if you want, if you want to see more of my blood tube uploads, which are much more cheerful and fun than the ones in the description bar below, and thanks again for watching.
I see you tomorrow
