PART ONE: Why Black Women Are Least Likely to Marry Outside Their Race

Apr 24, 2020
According to a 2010 Pew Research Center report,

black

women

are the

least

likely

group of

women

to

marry

, especially outside

their

own

race

. That's right, according to sociologist Cheryl Judy, one solution might be for

black

women to start considering dating outside of

their

race

, which obviously for us is pretty common here, but I think it's true that yes, we all relate, so she's saying that black women don't normally do this because of historical tensions, obviously, and specifically with white men, but she's not just talking about white men, she's also talking. about you could date an asian man tisha you forget a latino yeah ok the trip to the middle east i mean the options are endless cheryl quebec if you're willing to date outside of your race , you might be pleasantly surprised, so tisha, would you consider dating outside of your race? race I'm curious yes now yes why now why now oh God, I think it was something that I was attracted to mm-hmm and there may have even been a little bit of "I just know I love, I love men, I grew up." around nothing but boys, yeah, but that's all I really knew, yeah, and that's why I've now considered, you know, dating someone outside of my race, even though I've never done it before.

A real conversation to have something that I think you should never be ashamed of. you're attracted to that's what you're attracted to what was there something else that ever made you like no to me and what makes you like yes I don't know what else there's no doubt I just want a question like why wouldn't you have been open to that? before? Oh God, I don't know. It was just something that's all I knew. Well, you know, it's the unknown, the unknown, it was, it was the unknown. I did not know how. just me you just have to give it back to me I like it okay big lips my name historically now I think historically black women have always been loyal to the black race and especially to black men that's why there was all this fear of not dating someone out, they raised because they felt like they were being disloyal loyalty is a good word, the truth of the matter is we've talked about this before on this show is that the pool of black men, especially as you get older, gets smaller.

I think I have many. of my sisters who are between 40 and 50 years old, have their degrees, have raised their children and are now alone. I think that's another reason why in my culture they encourage you to date within your race because they want to, yeah, it's what they're used to, it's the only thing they know and they actually say that and they don't always do it, they always they would feel comfortable trying to speak the other language, you know what I'm saying, but I'm first generation and I could speak English, as long as you speak English.

We have a fighting chance, but I want to say that if you're not comfortable dating outside of your race and you speak English, you should take a second to think about why it's because God forbid, you've been tainted. Any ideas of other races or any old stigmas that you know from your family that may be habits that won't be healthy for you today in the dating world, does that make sense? Yeah, funny, you said like they said you should probably stay within your career, obviously not a comfortable kind of language, do you ever feel? And this is for all the women whose family has ever made you feel like we'd rather you stay in the race.
