Feb 27, 2020
Do you find it difficult to organize your

pantry

, keep it under control, keep it managed and not feel like you are just throwing things into a dungeon? Do you find it difficult to determine the design, configuration or breathing pattern you need? having to make that space work for you if you come with me and I'll show you how I organized mine to make it work for me, not the other way around, my

pantry

is right next to the garage, this is the garage door pantry and then, the kitchen is right here, so I really like the fact that it's not necessarily in my kitchen per se, but it's close enough that I can get the things I need and not have to walk all over the house, so I really like it. like.
pantry organization tons of tips my intentional life
They always make fun of my pantry and I'm okay with that. I would like it to be organized. I like to know exactly where things are. I like to know what things are and for me this system has worked in our last three houses and so on. I still take it with us when we move, although I hope we are done and I don't have to move it again, but I will continue with you and show you my rhyming reason for doing what I do. In hopes that you know that you can choose even if it's a small thing that can help you manage your pantry better, that's all I hope to achieve through this video, so let me start going shelf by shelf and show you why .

More Interesting Facts About,

pantry organization tons of tips my intentional life...

I do what I do, at the top you'll see that I have the things that I don't use most or as often, so on the top shelf I just have two vases that I use if I have a lot of flowers to I need to put in there and then this folder of here's the folder I use when I drop off all of our school schedules and schedules and everything with the grandparents if they're watching our kids and we're out of town, there's our cupcake holder if I'm sending cupcakes to school with the kids and then this Ben from here is extras and I know people will ask me where my containers are from and they're from Target.

I love these containers, they are sturdy. I've had these containers for almost five years now and I have no cracks in them, nothing, I mean they're amazing, I love them, so up here I just have an extra container and I printed a little label and attached it to it so I can see exactly what I have there. I have rice, peanut butter, flour, vegetable oil, and Special K, and that way those are things I'll need at some point, but they're not in my daily routine, so I don't have to. have them front and center and then the second set of shelves is where I keep all my recipes.
pantry organization tons of tips my intentional life
I actually need to check this out, it's on my to do list and I'll make a video on how I handle it. my recipes, but it's gotten a little out of hand with some of the new recipe books. I have some of the recipes in these folders here. I don't use a lot so I just need to consolidate them so it flows a little better and then down below I have my spices and my oil, these are actually all on a lazy susan which I love because I can use this kind of weird shaped rack so that works for me using lazy susan.
You don't have to have things like you know stacked in front of each other and on top of each other and then you have to know how to take this out to get to this and all the things that happen when you try to stack them back and forth. It just works better for me, this is another seasoning that I use a ton of, it's McKay chicken broth for anyone who knows what that is, but I buy it in bulk so I just put it in a glass jar so I don't have to . I have the bag here and then on a shelf like I said, this is where I keep all my oil, my liquid stevia, my big salt containers and again, this is on a lazy susan and I can get to exactly what I need much easier than Yes These things were stacked in front of each other, up to the depth of the shelf and then down, that's where I keep all our straws.
My kids still love straws. They weave straws for smoothies, so I have them there and then we have. obviously I have some dog bones here and then chip clips, so this label here I made with my Silhouette a few years ago, these labels here and I know some people will say seriously, why would you need to put a label on there? because you can see through the container and tell what it is and you can see up here what's in the container for me. I just like the look of the labels. I like the fact that my kids can come and put groceries and things away from me and I know exactly where they are going.
I like the aesthetic part and anyone can come into my house if I'm not here, if I get sick, if something happens to me, they can come into my house and Basically, they find everything they need because it's labeled and for some, that can be totally ridiculous, but for me it works, but what I was saying is that this is actually one of those stands that you use if you go to a conference. for your work and they put your name tag here, that's exactly what they are just zip ties together, you print them out on your computer, I just stick them on there and that's how I use them.
I like that they are on that cover because if something spills on it, it can be easily cleaned and I don't have to redo my label and then underneath, this is where I keep all my sprinkles. I only save enough sprinkles to fit in this container. I guess I don't make thousands of cookies. monthly, so I don't need thousands of bottles of sprinkles. I only keep what we need and what we use and if I bring another one, then it should be able to fit in this space next to it. I only have my coconut. I get the oil from Costco, that's why it's so big and underneath is where I keep all of our cookie cutters and we also keep our egg white protein, but for me this is the way I was able to utilize this space because as you can see , these cabinets are a little bit weird in dimensions, so I don't know if it works to have these little containers here inside something round, so I guess what I'm saying is make the space. works for you, don't try to make it into something it's not, but use it to the best of your ability, even if it doesn't look like someone else's or even if it doesn't look like what's in the Pinterest images because honestly, Pinterest Friends It can be so overwhelming and so consuming that it can make us think that what we have is not good enough and it is not true that what you have is good enough, you just have to make it work for you and you will appreciate it very much. more and then under my cupcake container is where I keep all of our cupcake tins, our candles, food coloring and frosting

tips

and then these here are just the leftover shoots from Chloe's Valentine's Day that she made this year and the containers in The ones I have these are just the ox, oh no I don't know if that's how you say it but they're just the lid and the pop closure and I really like them.
Then coming down here is where we keep our oats and our chocolate milk mixture again. this is also in a pop up lid and then on the inside is where our little scoop is with this here you'll see I have this one and then all these and then here I have all these containers I separate all my stuff with similar items because I feel like it's so much easier save number one, number two to find, and number three so I don't get completely bogged down with 17 cans of green beans, everything I have pretty much fits. In these bins I have extra stuff, but I don't have three months worth of stuff if that makes any sense, so for this bin this is where we keep all of our dry breakfast stuff, so you'll see we have pancake mix. there we have the muffin mix and that's where all that stuff goes and I can have extras, but it's not just stored on a shelf, it's much more confined to this space and then underneath is where we keep everything. our cereal, these containers just arrived from Walmart. oXXO containers can be found at Walmart, but I always buy mine at t.j.maxx because I feel like they are much cheaper.
These are Walmart's quick-use containers that simply open and close. the top and I like that they have the poor little handle there and then again. I just used my silhouette to put cereal in there. I didn't specify because you know that here we go through different phases in which we like certain things like you. I can see here that one of my kids likes organic cereal with peanut butter and the other likes cereal without peanut butter, so under that I have cream of wheat and also oatmeal, here I have peanut butter and jelly and some might say holy cow, you got a lot of peanut butter.
I do this because I'm going to make homemade granola bars and I need a lot of peanut butter, so I usually don't have that much stock and that's where I keep it on the side. my syrup and my honey, so it keeps everything contained in its own compartment and I like the fact that if this was, for example, especially this, if any of these were to spill or drip, not only would it get sticky and gross all over parts of my shelves. below this is where I keep my almond flour, I just have it in a ziplock bag with the date I took it out or that it expires, it never actually expires because we use enough of it, but I guess I put the date on there.
I took it out of the compartment. I just like it better on this one because number one I can see when I'm running low and number two I don't have to try to zip it back into the bag, which isn't always Ziploc. It's like if you want it, I know it's much more sealed. I guess if you do, then this container is where I have my healthy baked goods, so things that are gluten free or I have macadamia nuts, I have flex and Chea. mixes, let's see what else I have here. I have cocoa powder and hazelnuts.
I have some chia seeds, things like that that I used, but not daily. I just put all those things here and that way I can also keep them consolidated and then down here is where I keep my potatoes and I just have sweet potatoes and regular potatoes over and over again. I like that it's in a container because if you know one of them goes bad or gets gross like potatoes, sometimes I don't have it sitting in my poke and then on this side it's self explanatory. I bought these containers from Hobby Lobby about four or five years ago and in fact, they're probably longer than that because we were actually in Texas, when I bought them and I used my Silhouette again to put the labels on them, these containers here are from Walmart , but all the ones with the top closure are from Hobby Lobby, so I have anything that is in a bag or a box in these containers that way I can see exactly how much I have and I can refill as needed and I don't end up in the halfway through a recipe and I realize I don't have as much rice as I needed or I don't have as much sugar or whatever the case may be and then downstairs I just have my mixer and inside it I keep all the accessories that way I don't have them in a drawer somewhere taking up space I can have everything I need up there where I have my paper towels.
I just keep them all there that way. I don't have the big, bulky packaging that it comes with, it's just easier for me to consolidate it. all that way and then on this shelf this is what I mean by make it work for you so this shelf wasn't long enough to be able to make three of these sizes so I made two on the shelf and then one little one and then down here a little bit and then as you can see all the way down, so make it work for you, don't make it look like someone else's, but make it work for you because that's how it should be. works for me it's not necessarily going to work for you and what works for you isn't necessarily going to work for me you have to make it feasible in your situation so for me this is what was feasible here I have my broth I'll try to put the camera up to as you can see, but right there I keep all my vegetable broth, chicken broth, beef broth, all of that and then in this one, this is where I keep my baking mixes, so I have like brownies, I have some cookie mixes. of sugar that we use when I don't want to take the time to make it from scratch and this is where I keep all my seasonal packets so everything that comes in those little cardboard boxes or not necessarily in a cardboard box but things like this , then I just throw them all in here like that again.
I can see exactly what I have and I'm not going to run out and those boxes aren't being pushed back. On a shelf in the pantry downstairs I have mushroom soup and then here I have all my diced tomatoes and tomato sauce and as you can see I can fit a lot of cans in there but I don't have

tons

and

tons

of the cans yet They take up space in the store. I feel like this uses my shelf space a lot more than if I had things piled everywhere and had to take things in and out as I needed them.
This one here is very full. where I keep all my vegetables, so I have my green beans, my chickpeas, all my beans and things like that are in this container and then down here is where I keep all our things for Italian meals, so I have like pizza sauce sauce for pasta what else tomato paste are there mushrooms down there? I have a diced tomato that seems to have ended up here and should beup, but hey, you get the idea and then for all our Spanish meals, that's What's in here? So we have chili beans, black olives because I put olives in my enchiladas and then we have black beans.
I have some chilis down here, refried beans and enchilada sauce oh I almost forgot about this one and then my oils so all my oils are in this container again this container came from Target so I have avvocato all the vegetable oil , all my spray oils, I have evo, oh, here in the front and then in the back, I even have room for some extras and again, if there was anything. if it leaked it would leak on this and not all over my shelves then downstairs I have tuna and this is where I keep all my noodles so I have our stir fry noodles our egg noodles or chicken soup and really that's the only noodles that we use and then next to it I have all of our macaroni and cheese for the kids' lunches, whether for school or at home, and then their pasta rings or spaghetti, what are we in that column below where I keep all our beans? so I have navy beans, I have some lentils, I have split peas and that seems to be it now, so all of that fits perfectly in there and next to it is where I keep my grains that I need. to replenish this, but I have the quinoa and the whole grain, then on the side I have some drink mixes.
My kids really like the original real lemon lemonade. There is no garbage in that. I ordered this on Amazon and then these are here. It's kind of a ketone drink that I use from time to time when I want you to drink it down there. I need to restock it too because I used the last of this on Mondays and not Sundays, but this is where I keep all my boxes. soups like my tomato soup and different things like that you buy in the box and then on the side, this is where I keep all my spices that are extra.
If you've seen the video of my kitchen, you'll know that I don't have many. of space for containers this size so I have to store them here and then the smaller ones in my kitchen so this is where I keep all the extras until I need to refill them and they are all labeled too just because this is what I used in my previous kitchen in Denver, so I just put them back here and used them that way and then underneath here are just the bigger things like the Lowry seasoning, the taco seasoning that comes in the big plastic container here.
I just have my mason jars for jam and stuff like that and then this chip container is where I keep all of our packaged chips so this is where the kids can come and have a snack or this is where we get the chips from. lunches, they are always in portions. in bags because, first of all, it eliminates having to do this in the morning when we prepare lunch and, secondly, it's much easier to see how many bags or you know, that you get out of here instead of just handing someone a bag of chips and allowing them to kind of have a wrestling match so we can monitor that much better and then in this container of chips, this is where we keep them for our house, whether you know we're making chips and dip or eating people knead like Fritos or something for the haystacks, that's where that kind of stuff would go up, it's where I keep my extra coffee because honestly, safety first folks, this is just stuff I got for Christmas or that I really like it and I don't want to run out.
I only have two in the kitchen, and again, if you've seen my video, you'll know what I'm talking about. On this shelf, here's my bread maker, above. where we keep these little things, so if you watched my Christmas video you'll know I gave them away for my husband's work. These are just popcorn containers and I had quite a few more so I put them in here and this is just what the kids use when they eat popcorn when their friends come over and we're not dirtying a bunch of bowls and stuff upstairs. I'm going to remove that because it's a little heavy trying to hold a camera and not be on a stool. but that's where we keep all our water bottles, so the ones that you would take to the soccer field, the baseball field, the pool, things like that, that's where they go and then on the right is where we keep all the more big ones that obviously don't fit down there, it's where I keep my dry and wet baking.
I have it separate obviously just because it's easier to get to certain things that I need to use so for example this is where I keep my evaporated milk different things like that my pumpkin puree that's where it goes and then this side is where everything is dry which is like my chocolate chips my flax seed mix just different things like that and I have them all in the Ziploc because then I can see when I need to replenish them and also they don't get all over the inside of the container or in my shelves, it's easy to close them and it's easy for the kids to display them under the ones I have too.
I have my American condiments and my Spanish condiments, so here pickles, mustard, mayonnaise, relish, barbecue sauce, things like that and then here I have soy sauce, obviously, that's not Spanish, but just different things, most of this It's my sauce. I bought chili paste, I couldn't think of what it was called and stuff like that, and underneath is where I keep other things for snacks or lunches. If you watched my morning routine, you saw these containers at that time, so they're all portion controlled. Plus, that's what works for our family, that we're not just free bags of candy for fräulein and here's our savory bin and you'll find crackers like Ritz Wheat Thins.
I have some Triscuits here, so things that are more salty than obviously sweet underneath, this is granola bars, we have granola bars here, but I also save our packaged peanut butter for their lunches, when they have celery sticks or apples, at On the side there's applesauce or fruit that used to just be applesauce, but they've started to really like these little organic packaged fruits, so they're in there too. Here is our applesauce. I buy them, they're just the all natural brand from Ivy, my grocery store, they have blank tops and I just want to unpack them.
I just write little sayings on top of them just to give them a little encouragement at lunchtime. Then underneath, this is where my husband keeps all of his protein shakes. I don't even intend to do it. guys, I'm just keeping it organized so he has his blender cups here and then these are all the protein containers. Down here is the blender and next to it are all the blades, appliances and gadgets. this right here is a shelf that you just pull out and it has more cups that go with the mixer in there and then underneath are all the lids and the inserts that go with these on the right of that is where we keep our dog food and dog bowls , this thing here only has wheels, so it's useful.
I put a 3m hook right there and hung my stool and then upstairs is where I have my list of what we need and my grocery list for the week that way I can see exactly what we have. I know what to take out and different things like that. I just grabbed this little thing here that's just a drawer organizer from Target or Walmart. I don't remember which one. And I put velcro strips on the back and I just glued it on and that way I can have my eraser and my pens there when I need them and I don't have to look for them in a drawer or on a shelf and then behind the door I have some hooks I also glued there with velcro strips and this is where my kids hang their lunch bags every day after school, that way they aren't on the counter or in a drawer or whatever. this simply keeps it hidden and out of the way.
Now I know some of you are looking here trying to figure out what this is, so the lady who lived here before us used absolutely every space she could in this house and this is just kind of a little walking space, so we had this in our garage and a tree at our other house and I really wanted to use it here and it really fits perfect and so what does this do? And I realize that not everyone has this, except for We obviously had this space, so I wanted to use it as best I could, but this is a total overflow, so they're like party napkins.
The plates here are like little to-go containers that I sometimes send food home with the people I have. I have extra lunch stuff right there that we use sometimes on trips if we take our lunch with us upstairs, that's where I keep my crock pots and then downstairs, this is where I keep all my metal containers, like my baking pans and things like that and then this drawer here here is where I keep all my cups and some birthday party picnic II type things and then down here is where I keep the kind of things that I just don't have room for more spoons cups that we get from the sets we don't want to throw away bigger glass jars and then these are the containers for water that my husband drinks when he rides his bike and then goes back there so I put away my steam cleaner and my mop and then I hung a hook right there , that's where I keep all my Costco cold bags when I go there, so all my reusable bags are inside those bags.
This right here is just kind of a stay cool lunch bag that we take with us on trips sometimes here are our coolers, this right here is for if we have a lot of people and I just throw ice in with some drinks and stuff , these are, oh, why the hell is that these are the things to find friends, these right here are my go-to if you're going to a potluck, these keep the food warm, so I have them down there, I just have an extra bucket there in case I ever need one and then here both of my kids have to take napkins, plates and cutlery to their Easter parties for their Thursday class, so they're there and ready for you to grab and go out the door, like this which, like I said, I realized that this is not something that everyone can do. are you going to have or what you can have, but for me it was a space that was already here and I wanted to use it the best I could and this is what I did in that space and that's it friends, this is how to Organize my pantry I would love to hear Below are the different ways you have to keep all your things in order.
