should

buy the new iPad Pro or save your hard-earned money. My goal is to make this pretty comprehensive, pretty deep, and I want to get You'll have a definitive answer at the end of the video, but first let's take a minute to understand why the

2021

iPad Pro isn't just another iPad even though it has the exact same features. Appearance on the outside, at least, that the latest generation of iPad Pro. Pro is now the only iPad with a Thunderbolt port and optional 5G and a rear camera setup that is only used by a select few improved a bit, while the True depth front camera is much better than it used to be and also improved. a really useful new tracking feature called center stage and no, we don't have a new Apple Pencil, although there really was nothing wrong with v2.

More Interesting Facts About,

Also, if you like the vibe of this video so far, why not grab it? this opportunity to subscribe if you are not already so you don't miss my next unboxing and review. Well, let's start by breaking down the actual benefits of the mini liquid retina LED display that is available on that 12.9-inch screen if you so desire. To really enjoy HDR content on an iPad, go ahead and hit the buy button because this mini LED display will display colors on par or in some cases even better than some OLED panels and, surprisingly, it will also get even brighter than some HDR televisions.

Now, if you are a professional photographer or do any type of professional video editing, this screen is a good reason to press the buy button because you will be able to select more details in your work if you are not a photograph. or video pro and you don't mind watching HDR content, although I must tell you that HDR often makes a more dramatic difference for many people than just raw resolution, so save your money because you'll still be fine with the really impressive LCD screen on the 11 inches which is unchanged from the previous iPad Pro and yes, you can bet I'm going to put a paper-like screen protector on the new mini LEDs because my Apple Pencil just can't live without it.

Seriously, that paper-like texture when I use the Apple Pencil has become addictive. Well, let's talk next about the new Thunderbolt port which looks exactly like a USB port and will actually work well with most USB accessories. which is much cooler again, this feature will primarily appeal to photo and video professionals who would really benefit from faster transfer speeds, like quadrupling the speed, so we're talking 40 gigabits per second compared to somewhere in In the neighborhood of 10 gigabits per second on most USBCs, the Thunderbolt port can drive up to a 6k display. Do you have a 6k screen?
If you have it, I congratulate you, you are rich, but if not, that is another indicator that you may want to save money, but here is my perspective on the lightning bolt, if you don't make money taking photos or editing videos, then save money right now or you

should

, because if you're like me, you suspect that Apple might have some awesome iPad OS features to debut at wwdc like maybe real external display support, not just mirroring or maybe bringing pro apps like final cut pro or logic pro to the

ipad

pro, if any of those things come true then we have a much more compelling reason to want to spend extra money on that lightning bolt and now that we get to what the m1 chip looks like, literally no one was complaining about the last generation

ipad

pros were too slow and that was without the m1, so why does 50 faster performance and an 8 core gpu and 40 faster graphics really matter in real life? and unless the ipad os gets some crazy updates i really don't know what i do know is that the m1 is more efficient than the a series chips that the last gen ipad pros were on and that should translate to a battery life of noticeably better battery for what Apple simply says the battery lasts all day, so to sum up, if you really want to future proof, i.e. you want to buy an iPad Pro and stick with it for life or if you would practically benefit from a longer battery life, then buy it like it's hot.
Otherwise the M1 is actually better than what was already the best, so if you bought last year's iPad Pro then you're probably set in terms of performance. It was strange for a while when the ipad air was so close. ipad pro specs, but those days are gone, that upgraded true depth front camera is actually quite convincing here even though it still sits to my left when I have it mounted on a magic keyboard, bothering the new center stage. The feature that automatically centers you during video calls will be absolutely amazing not only for Facetime but also for third-party apps, so if you are one of the people who have increased their time using Zoom or Facetime recently, then this center stage feature combined with a new 12 megapixel front camera is a good reason to buy and, just for a little context, the last iPad Pro had a potato-worthy 7 megapixel front camera, now if the idea of taking selfies in mode appeals to you portrait from your iPad.
If you know you like being able to change the blur of your background or play with different lighting effects, then go ahead and hit the buy button, but if you have an iPhone with portrait mode capability, then you know what the point is right now . Since I haven't actually reviewed this, I'll again be unpacking it and reviewing it, so please subscribe, but at this point, not having tried it, I'm just guessing that face ID and face unlock could be a little better with this ultra. Wide 180 degree field of view and you may be able to unlock your iPad from more angles now.
If you are a gamer or perhaps an aspiring gamer, now is the time to listen up because the iPad is already a sleeping gaming monster, not so much. because of Apple Arcade, but even more so because of Xbox cloud gaming that just started iOS beta testing today and services like Google Stadia with its console-quality games that are available through Safari, so now that you have an m1 chip that allows you to play games on your iPad with console-quality graphics at high frame rates and now that iPad OS 14.5 offers support for Xbox and PS5 game controllers with haptic feedback, the iPad Pro, especially the At 12.9 inches with that gorgeous screen, it's starting to look really interesting as a more serious gaming device.
So I'd say if gaming is an important aspect for you, especially when you're on the go, then there are real reasons to consider upgrading this year, but of course, if you're not really interested in gaming at the highest level, an iPad King . game because of course other iPads can play fine, so you don't really need to upgrade this year, creative professionals can really spend the money to get two terabytes of storage, which also goes hand in hand with those 16 gigabytes of RAM and yes, Those are really impressive numbers for an iPad, so to put this in context, let's talk about it like this.
My Final Cut Pro libraries on my Mac are almost always larger than two terabytes individually for a single YouTube video. Professional cameras have multiple angles, but two terabytes can. It disappears very quickly for a creative professional, so it's definitely nice to not have to lug an external storage drive around with you as I remember how nice it was when I decided to upgrade my Mac to four terabytes of internal storage so I didn't have to do that, but let's be Realistically, Apple's storage upgrades are really expensive, so if you want to save some money and don't mind the extra bulk when you're on the go, I'd say save some money and get some external storage now. 16 gigs of RAM.
I'm interested to see what wwdc brings to the table in terms of what the hell I'd be able to use those 16 gigabytes of RAM because right now that's overkill for everything on an iPad, but I'm hoping I and many others would love those changes. to see apps like final cut pro finally land on the ipad at least the ipad pro well last but not least let's talk about 5g on the ipad pro which is cool I guess if you want to do things like have a meeting while traveling. or maybe you're late and want to tune into that meeting on the taxi ride or something, there's probably someone out there with a great use case, but the thing is, a lot of people will end up connected to their LTE iPhones. or 5g, you know, in that case, what's the point?
Well, that's all for this video. I hope you have been helpful. I hope there was a lot of value in looking at the practicality of all of these different features and what they might mean in terms. of your own personal upgrade cycle and spend or save your money, so if it was helpful, let me know and subscribe for the unboxing, check out the tips, apps, accessories that I cover anyway on this channel to help you take advantage of the maximum all your Apple devices, not just your iPads and your iPad Pros, I'll see them later in the next video.
