NES Godzilla Creepypasta All Chapters (HSZ Re-upload)Jan 02, 2022
when i was little the two things i loved most in life were
godzillaand nes games so naturally when
godzillamonster of monsters came out it was like a dream come true well almost to sum it up most of the games revolved around having a great time. repetitive outer space levels while destroying tanks and planes and then fighting Godzilla's monstrous enemies overall was pretty mediocre but back then i didn't care when i got the game as a present for my 10th birthday i played it day and night as much as Unfortunately, I could have traded the game for a Magani or later, much to my chagrin, when I found out what the game was like. a copy of Godzilla monster of monsters I was excited to play my favorite childhood game it never occurred to me to ask where Billy found it he also gave me other games like Legend of Zelda Bomberman and some stupid c Alled action 52 but Godzilla had come first so that I started the game and the nostalgia washed over me again like a tidal wave.
Godzilla's 8-bit theme song proudly flooded through the speakers and soon he was grinning like an idiot. Some people laugh at me for playing such outdated games, but I've never really enjoyed any games other than NES games, those 8-bit games take me back to where things were much simpler, more secure, but after After what happened with this game, I don't have those feelings anymore. I'd forgotten how quickly the fun of Smashing Things faded as Godzilla faded through scrolling levels. The game bombards you with bullets and things crashing into you from all directions and you're too big to avoid most of them, even though my last thrill had run out. some it wasn't long before i got to my first boss battle my first opponent was gazzara a dark kaiju squid who had never been in the godzilla movies the most annoying thing about fighting gazzara is he always bat te he corners and starts crushing you with his tentacle and you can't move until he gets off of you.
This move doesn't do any damage, but it can stall you until the timer runs out and you have to start the fight. he finishes and gets some health back, he's as annoying as it sounds and of course he did when i fought him solo for some reason this caused the game to crash because once he started slapping me he never stopped. The timer is supposed to end the fight. in about 40 seconds but this lasted almost 5 minutes after a while the graphics started to mess up with little red blocks all over the place which was weird because i just took out the blue game then started again. let a little problem get in my way so i started again this time i beat gazzara and the other mo war boss levels without any problem so then i went to the next planet mars.
I searched around the board and found something unexpected where Varun's piece should be. They have been th Instead, there was a piece depicting Titanosaurus. There were only ten kaiju in the game and titanosaurs is not one of them, or so I thought. very excited, not only was I playing my favorite game, but I was also playing a prototype of some kind of new monster. he could do his tentacle slam but this time the glitch started to occur as he died, geezers sprite and sank to the bottom but instead he seemed to be devoured by the glitch and the eye of him started appearing randomly all over the screen .
Now I know that these glitches with Gazzara were my first warning sign that something was seriously wrong with this game, but I foolishly ignored it and proceeded to fight mo gira, who this time had a glitch of his own, Mogi's row was the twice the size it should be b een which surprised me he was also considerably harder to beat than usual ie not quite but as soon as i beat him and when he died another glitch happened it happened extremely fast, so i was lucky to get a screenshot. not at all, but what happened was that the giant price of Moe Pyrrhus began to break and melt.
Also, if you looked at the garbled text in the right hand corner of the screen, you would notice what appeared to be a bird in a cage. I still had no idea. what that meant right now i was about to fight titanosaurus and i was worried about the kind of glitches that happened this time but to my surprise the titanosaurs looked good even though all the bipedal monsters in the game were at the same height . I may asaurus was a bit taller, but since titanosaurs were actually taller than Godzilla in his movie debut, I thought this was pretty cool after a really fun fight with the monster that wasn't supposed to be in the game. er-like normal, but instead of pathos pathos was the same as Jupiter and layout, except the board was dark blue instead of green.
The first thing I noticed was that all the usual level icons had been replaced with a blue rock and some kind of orange honeycomb. In the shape there was an icon that was partly in the shape of the jungle icon but I didn't pay much attention to it. I checked the other side of the board to see the new monster instead of Hedorah it was beyal ante but that couldn't have been right Godzilla versus beyal ante didn't come out until 1989 and this game was made in 1988 maybe Toho put biology in the game to build hype for the movie next year but changed his mind.
I tried to rationalize the games anomalies any way I could but this would turn out to be futile pathos. The map song of a-- was the first new song I heard in the game, like most new songs, it was hard to describe, but I'll try. any song in the game but every 12 seconds or so there was a loud crash sound and the tempo changed, it was like the composer randomly played parts of five different songs on the same instruments. I moved Godzilla to one of the many blue rock icons that had replaced the jungle icon, it said beginning of level the level looked like a blue mountain range with a blood red planet in the sky but there was something strange about the mountains They had a shredded paper look.
At first I thought maybe the glitch had affected them, but it looked a long way away. Too intentional to be true. I quickly noticed something else about this new level: there were no enemies, not even obstacles. I should also mention that this was where the point meter started to glitch beyond comprehension, but it didn't bother me much. I never keep up with game points anyway, so without having to focus on anything, I listen to the music as I walk through the level in a post, the music had a sad feel to it, I would have been a rat.
It Nice if I had heard it in a normal game the level continued for three screens but no obstacles around it and I finished it very quickly I tried other levels of the same type to see if any enemies appeared but there were none there was little else to be seen in the Blue Mountains, so I tried the other type of level. I started one of the orange levels and my eyes were assaulted with a grotesque background of orange tumor eyes. The sky was the same as the ground, so I assumed the game was indicating that this level takes place in a cave, the only enemies here were matança spawn, but as you can see, the little bastards were everywhere, the Music certainly didn't help with a mix of screeching sounds and loud drums that sounded like a monster theme in a horror. after completing it i tried to avoid playing more of these levels whenever i could the map was short so it was only a few minutes before i was heading towards a rematch with gazzara and mo war but this time the sprites and patterns of attacks were very different I fought mothra first well here its replacement was a flying machine with a slight resemblance to a Pascagoula it was a bit like fighting Mothra completely a move with much more grace it attacked by spinning its front tentacles like a corkscrew and still had an i-beam except now he shot from the drill this lanky op has replaced gazzara and the new beast was much more of a challenge he ran and jumped at a fast pace constantly waving his arms around making it hard to get close and of course i tried to corner me with the most annoying resolution ever.
I defeated it using a combination of tail whips and a heat ray. I defeated them and went to fight Titanosaurus but when I started the Fight Titanosaurus was nowhere to be seen and the game just went back to the map with the titanosaur piece now missing there was no one left to fight now but for ole ante so Eagle II began the battle. He was quite surprised. she got up so vile and started the fight in her rose form, she was immobile and used tentacles to keep me away from the main body, which took the most damage as expected, she turned into her final form after taking enough damage despite which looked great for a bit, the battle technique was the same except now Elaine couldn't move a bite slower than any other monster being hit by the tentacles to deal more damage now on violin Dean could spit acid which i managed to avoid jumping on the screen cap not much harder to beat than titanosaurus it only took two rounds but when it went violent the music stopped and there was a new icon that replaced the bass this icon wasnt there before i beat beyal suede, it looked like a red tribal mask and i had a feeling of dread when i saw it, but since it replaced the bass, it must be the only way out of the pathos.
I moved Godzilla to the square and started the level. It was a hellish looking place with no sky and flickering fire. the one in the background, the fire seemed much more advanced than anything I've ever seen on the NES, there was music in the form of a steady slow drum sound that resembled a heartbeat, all the text on top of the screen and life bar disappeared into place with a single piece of text in the middle of the screen that said run, my sense of dread had intensified. I cautiously walked through the level, but just like the blue mountains, there were no enemies.
I walked for a minute before thinking of Ryan for the first time. it hit me i didn't even see it i heard a noise outside my room and i turned around to see if something fell off and when i looked back godzilla was dying i thought it must have been a glitch but i wasn't going to play through a game without godzilla so i restarted the game and went to the password screen. Did I ever mention how creepy the password screen music is? If you play, you'll know what I mean. something from a horror game maybe they did it so the kids wouldn't cheat.
I was pretty upset right now, but I thought I'd have to fight all the monsters again, but that didn't happen. The game had me start right where I was before watching. red face level so i tried again making sure to pay attention this time was when i heard a low bellowing sound and then i saw this thing, you know that feeling your body gets when you feel like you are in extreme danger? step back and tense up as the adrenaline pumps through your veins and your nerves start to feel very cold that's the feeling I got when I took this screenshot I haven't seen all the Godzilla movies but I'm pretty sure this wasn't in any of the they had to do something, it had to be something made up by the creator, but what kind of sickness would this put on a child's play by sheer luck or maybe the adrenaline rush I got turned around fast enough to get out of it. it ran very fast so much that if you saw it you're almost sure it's certainly going to die and when I say die I mean your monster dies instantly if the creature touches it once I'm back on the map.
I was so scared that I was extremely tempted to turn the game off and try to pretend this never happened, I couldn't believe what I just saw, it couldn't have been real and even if I wanted to continue I still had to get Mothra through this chase level but as i sat idle on the map screen for a few minutes my fear was replaced with burning curiosity what the hell just happened what was the rest of the game i just had to get through this level with Mothra and then it happened to the next world but when I moved Mothra to red face the game recorded it as me beating the level I was pretty relieved I tried to prepare myself for the next world trance I was still pretty shocked from the last level when I started trance the map music trances did nothing to ease the tension either as to how to describe it.
Have you heard about the Videodrome theme? That's the closest thing I can think of to compare it. Check who the new monster was and it was orga, a monster that didn't debut until 2000, appearing in a game made in 1988 both for my theories about titanosaurs and bile and him there's no way this game was made in 1988 those guys in toho may be smart but i'm sure they couldn't see that far into the future if they could they never would have given roland emmerich the rights to make the movie from Godzilla, no, this has to bea trick of some sort that opened up even more questions as to who did this, heck, when, how, and most importantly, why, but why was the question that bothered me the most, my immediate assumption was that Billy did this to pull a joke on me, but that might not be right either.
Billy didn't know how to romhack and even if he did, he'd probably do something simple and stupid like replace all the monsters with crudely drawn genitalia unless Billy had amazing game editing skills seriously a dark streak in his imagination that never got me. he told that he could not have done this is it possible to put a hacked rom on a cartridge apart from all that i was drawn to a new icon on the map a question mark i was really curious what he did i'm sure you are curious tooso which I'll explain test levels now, since that's when they started to appear.
There was one of these per map from now on and they always spawned near the start of the map. When you start out in a trial level, you'll come across a screen like this. as you can see there is a question on top of a yes or no button and an emoticon in the middle. I mean emoticon. levels was a hint actually in the game, it's the one that plays when you try to use Ghidorah's cheat and is sent to a level that cannot be played. the face asks you 12 yes or no questions and you move your monster to the buttons for your answer when you answer the question disappears and the face changes expression for about 8 seconds then goes back to neutral and a new question pops up there was no limit of time and no right or wrong answers the face does not respect the personal boundaries of the player and sometimes asks deeply dis troubling personal questions, for example, do you like to hurt people? completely ridiculous questions like does your dog like the president and maybe once a test the face would ask you a question about the game with one exception the expression changes of the faces seem to have no effect on the game except to indicate what the game creator thought of your answer their reactions rarely made sense and at first I thought they were randomly generated the questions never followed a pattern the face never stayed on the same topic for more than two questions at the beginning there were questions which made me think the face was turning into something unique to then ask some stupid crap, here are the face expressions i saw while playing the game.
I will separate them into two categories, the expressions that I understood and the expressive ones. sions I didn't first are the expressions I understood one is neutral his default expression 2 is angry if you try to attack his face his expression changes to this but nothing else happens three is sad four is happy five is sick six is manic face did this expression when i was being a you'll see what i mean later seven is surprised eight is love nine is upset ten is confused and eleven is guilty or hurt and here are the other two of them only appeared once number one and number 12 and I suspected they might have been joking because from the creator their respective questions were do you like ice cream and are you a tough guy when it comes to questions on the first test, luckily I had a notepad and pen handy.
I have trouble remembering things so I often carry one around to jot things down and sometimes I doodle on it when I'm bored so when the first test started I thought I'd record what happened. I am happy to have done it. Here is the first set of questions. you like the game yes you are scared yes you are over 18 yes birds have teeth it is not good peanut butter does not rotate the moon yes you have had a job yes you like to hurt people is not the hot sun yes you like dogs yes it is the president well yes your dog likes the president no now that i have explained everything its time to play after the test level first i tried the new green temple icon wow maybe that's why the game was so weird one of the designers was clearly drugged out of his mind Jokes aside I was pretty impressed by the graphics on this level as disorienting as they were but I hate those creepy white statue faces the music had a hypnotic Indian techno vibe there was two new enemies in this level a flying ghost type thing with a trunk and a bat with a horse skull for a face that appear randomly but i was lucky to get a screenshot of both then proceed i went to a blue mountain level hoping for another nice quiet walk i took my time walking through and was completely surprised when this happened it wasn't mochi it came speeding towards me and took a bit of health from me with its tentacle bolts it just me it took 2 minutes to kill him without having to worry about a time limit but bosses never spawn in a scrolling level in normal play I was worried what other rules the game would break after another stage of blue mountain it was time to fight no de Baron, whose replacement was one of the strangest things in the game.
This strange creature attacks you by kicking. and also by opening its chest and firing heat-seeking missiles. I still don't get it, the missiles were a pain in the ass sometimes, but I found you could track them out of the way, nope. Varon was probably the easiest of all. monster replacements the same can't be said for non-Hedorah apparently the source of the horse bats non-Hedorah was the hardest monster to fight but mostly because of her special ability that could squeal and some a small swarm of those bat things of horses, I know there are only two in the screenshot but every time I did this about ten would arrive, the AI took advantage of the distraction and attacked twice as fast as the horse bats were flying once the nuisance was over finished.
I went through a green temple level to kill some enemies and restore my health. Strangely, none of the horse bats appeared after na Hedorah was killed and that's when I got an idea if killing all the monsters makes red face appear while it happened, I avoid fighting with orga and go straight to the base, so i tried, unfortunately the game told me there was no monster there when i tried to start the base level and immediately after that the game took control of my godzilla piece and moved it. Facing Orga, my little trick didn't work, so I tried to prepare for another chase, but I had to beat Orca first.
The fight with Orga confirmed something else. Whoever created this game cheat was clearly a Godzill. a fanatic not only because they chose a monster as an orga because they actually implemented something that happened in Godzilla 2000 in a very neat way in the organs and a bunch of beats from his shoulder socket, but once you had him halfway through his health, he did something new, he would expand his jaws and try to swallow Godzilla in the process, stealing your health and energy, but in doing so he gave himself a new weakness, firing a heat ray into his mouth would take four away from him. devastating bars to his life meter, whatever that weakness revealed.
I soon defeated orga and despite how much I expected otherwise the red face appeared on the map where the base was and the music stopped I prepared myself as best I could I started the level and seeing that it was basically the same as the first one I didn't waste not a millisecond before starting to drag his butt. I soon found obstacles in the form of tiles suspended in the air. Most of them you could jump over or destroy others. You had to duck about 40 Seconds later I heard the horrible roar and saw the arachnid beast following me closely lots of obstacles as soon as I slowed it down it would break and then tear its way through them now as the smaller obstacles got in the way their way. expand their jaws and swallow them whole.
I was scared, but by thinking and pressing a button faster, I escaped from him once more. I felt very excited, so I laughed and said no this time. I decided to take a screenshot to celebrate, but when I said that sentence. Just before the level ended, the monster did something that made my blood run cold. He looked at me. That wave of deadly terror washed over me again. I ran to the bathroom to splash some water on my face and pee that I almost couldn't contain when that thing looked at me in the other world. Dementia.
When I got back to the game. I was getting very upset. and confused I thought about the way the monster looked at me, the game couldn't have heard what I said, that's impossible, it had to be a random occurrence, but why did it happen precisely at the moment I insulted the monster? nothing about the game did anything Feel Godzilla's new monsters, the strange replacement monsters, out of place visuals such as green temple test levels and red monster chases. The way I could understand and they clearly put in too much effort if they were trying to make a genuine sequel with new Godzilla monsters then why did they add everything else?
Maybe it was some kind of art experiment, a group project done by a bunch of really talented and crazy people and they lost the cartridge somehow or maybe they intended for some random person to find it, all fruitless guessing, by as far as i could see, there was only one way to find out what the problem was. this game to play it to the end maybe just maybe there would be something in the credits an explanation from the creators why they did it or it could be something much more cryptic and weird maybe even something horrible before i got a good look at the board of dimentia.
I consider playing trance again to see if the Red Monster would look at me again, but decided against it. I wanted to keep moving forward and was also a bit worried that going back would make the game even weirder. Boring dementia music was a lot like Saturn music, except it was slowed down and played with an instrument that sounded like a piano, like most of these new map themes. I had a dangerous suspense while listening to the music. I looked at the muster board. There were four main sponsors. this time SpaceGodzilla commands Gigan and Barragan I was surprised that there were two new Touhou monsters this time, but the best surprise was yet to come.
I started the test level. Here's another one. a bunch of results in the same format as the last one you can swim yes you like fish yes and penguins fly they can't have been in all directions there was no clarification which face it meant so I just assumed oxygen yes it tastes good When you bite a woman , I don't know who came up with this question, but I really hope you guys are improving your mental health. No, it's night where you are. Yes, if you like cats. Do you like your job? yes, would you like a new monster?
I wasn't entirely sure at the time which face meant new monster, but I couldn't resist saying yes, just to see what would happen, the result was mind blowing. The game brought me back to the board and had a new playable monster in the form of an angurius. Ever since I was a kid, I always wanted to play as Garris, since he was my second favorite Godzilla monster, and besides, I never really liked Mothra much. Anyway, I moved my new piece and Gear's to the level right next to it, eag er to test my new monster before getting into the level description.
I'll talk a bit about gear butt using the up and down buttons. You could choose if one gear was in a bipedal position or crawled on all four. It was a big difference, but being able to stand up was useful in boss fights and crawling sometimes helped to dodge obstacles and attacks. He could punch and kick like Godzilla, but he didn't have a tail whip. He had something much more interesting: the ability to curl up into a spiked ball. death and roll you could still take damage but it was reduced it was a good way to take enemies out of the stage but unfortunately doing this also during the power line but the spike ball wasn't the only special ability when you press start, it would fire an energy beam from its mouth it resembled a titanosaur a sonar attack and if this was a cheat it may have been inspired by the roar attack from the ataris godzilla fighting games also to note that when playing in gears the level is measured r has a glitch judging by the life bar and power i would say he is now level 10 in the level as you may have guessed from the level icon these levels are green paladin swaps from the ground and tiles of background of the Blue Mountains, but what?
I was immediately struck by the water that has a transparency effect that is even possible for an NES game. I know the Super Nintendo could do it, but I've never seen a transparency effect in a game on an NES before. The green mountains music was played on the same instrument as the blue mountains but the melody was totally different it was a very simple song with lots of abrupt pauses followed by a loud note every few seconds anyway i went through the usual walk through level and again no monsters or anything but pretty soon i came to a cliff above the water there was nowhere else to go except the water so i went down the transparency of the water made thingsThey were a bit harder to see, but it's tolerable after submerging in the water.
I found two new enemies, a giant piranha. It's some kind of spiky thing that feeds on the bottom. I like the piranha because I could easily tell what it was. It was a sane enemy design that would appear in a real game, but there were very few enemies like it. they didn't take a lot of hits to kill them but they were pretty annoying and could reduce your health considerably got close enough they also tend to travel in packs as far as bottom feeders are easy to handle they swim along the bottom of the screen towards you and you are easily smashed with rolling attack or jumped on the top of the screen you can see me about to run over one of them and there's a herd of piranhas behind after beating the level I moved Godzilla to the blue castle icon I started the level and got a screen of title with the text cold unforgiving the level itself looked like a castle dungeon made of blue bricks with rows of identical white statue faces on the walls these statue faces had a permanent look of horror on their faces they were also a static of grace flickering which didn't really obscure my vision but adds to the very haunting mood of these levels the music was a 12 se loop seconds of a low-pitched chorus that sounded very familiar every time I played.
Through one of these levels I had this sudden horrible feeling of anxiety that I had this feeling that the further I went through the level the closer I got to something terribly evil. There were no enemies, but these were some of the longest levels in the game. I only played one level, but it took me seven minutes to complete. I didn't want to admit it at the time, but I realized something while playing the blue castle level. This game has the power to make the player feel certain things. I don't mean that you get angry. playing a game of Crabby or getting nervous about something scary in a game what I mean is that certain events in this game can instantly make you feel something I know it sounds completely crazy and I don't blame you for not believing me you wouldn't think so in none of this if I didn't play the game myself but there is something very very wrong with this game and I still don't know how to explain it so it was time to fight Berrigan's replacement even though Bergen was originally the smallest. monster i In game his replacement was the biggest he was so tall in fact the ground was noticeably lower and not Berrigan's head pretty much avoided collision with the bar at the top of the screen and he was so scary.
Lee, strange, since it was huge. wondering how he attacks with his arms, well he has the most powerful kick in the game but his other fighting technique is much stranger, first he throws a cloud of pixels at you which causes you to freeze and then returns to the right corner of the screen and extends a huge gatling gun on his abdomen which may seem funny to you but it certainly wasn't to me when i was playing this game this attack was almost as annoying this guy can't spin cutter and no Barragan could have been unbeatable and used it constantly, luckily he only did it twice while fighting me once you unfreeze you can run and start damaging the weapon which deals extra damage to him this helped me destroy him and then it was time to play the third le. speed type I decided that I was going to use a gear to fight manda and Gigan and then fight space Godzilla like Godzilla was just before going into the battles I will describe the third level type the arctic the arctic is exactly what you would guess for the name is a frozen tundra with some watery segments.
The music reminded me a bit of the Northern Hemisphere music from Donkey Kong Country in 8-bit format. A song that sounds very dangerous. It made me think of being stuck on a tundra and freezing. death there were two new enemies in this stage first it was a creature frozen in a block of ice they block your way and you have to use the heat ray to unfreeze them from the ice they look a bit like a smaller version of not just Gazzara without the eyes when they break free they do a weird crawling move and push you back it doesn't do any damage but it's a bit annoying after dealing with the ice man I kept walking for a minute or two and found a segment of water which I jumped into and this time I managed to get a screenshot showing how the water splashes when you jump.
I don't know how they programmed that, but it's pretty awesome. Another interesting thing is how the screen changes focus when you go underwater. Here you can see the other new enemy. little thing I call Spike Walker they walk towards you and explode randomly or instantly if you attack them sending spikes in every direction the spikes don't do much damage but they did get me dangerously close to falling down a pit a few times oh speaking of that. the wells don't go to water the game has a platforming element bottomless pits there weren't any of these in the original game as this was strictly an action game but the wells were a nice addition after getting back on land i ran into a very unexpected mini-boss magma the walrus kaiju I know this game has some dark monsters to start with but not that I'm complaining it's a cool cameo for an underappreciated kaiju Magma's fighting tactics were very simple had a freeze ray and he could charge at you, not very challenging but certainly more entertaining than the matança miniboss in the original game.
One really cool thing about magma is that he doesn't die when you defeat him, he goes crazy on candy from it. this was the first time I had seen an enemy monster change direction, let alone retreat. I tried to chase him but he disappeared after I hit poor water and that makes it for the arctic. I'll talk about the man to fight next. i forgot to mention it before but the music that played during the new monster fights is reused from the themes that are actually in the game so far, the themes have been gazzola's music for Titanosaurus's head, doris's music from ole auntie bergen, Amogh IRA's music for orga, Varun's music for manda and mechagodzilla's music for SpaceGodzilla as for the fight band he was quite a cunning opponent when he realized that one tactic was ineffective he would immediately switch to one different woman manda used quite a few tricks ks like spitting fire biting a ball more irritating constricting it doesn't mercilessly exhaust your life as man games cutter but it was by far mandus strongest attack one last thing to note I thought was great was that respect shows up during the fight to help me, man, i had crushed him with ease, but he was still great after killing manda.
I played an arctic level for health and then he was the replacement for Guy Gans when the fight started. He was very confused. because there was nothing there i thought this would be like the titanosaurus dating fight in pathos but just about the time i would have made it back to the map a piranha appeared on the screen but it wasn't there for long as soon as it appeared ,the speaker gave a deafening screech and no gigan flew off and ripped the poor fish to bits ,well that's one way to get the player up on their toes ,that abrupt entrance scared the shit out of me and got my adrenaline pumping which in turn Hindsight was a good thing because Gigan was not one of the fastest and most relentless opponents in the game.
No Gigan was tough, but my newfound skills in a few years helped me even the score. This was an incredibly intense fight. he vomited out of his mouth in a downward slash. I was expecting some hellish variant of the buzzsaw attack, but luckily there didn't seem to be one. The how the attack was invaluable and feed it. I would have taken more screenshots in the fight, but I really did. to focus after that, there was only one more monster left to defeat SpaceGodzilla, as mentioned above, I used Godzilla for this fight. Space Godzilla's fighting technique was quite frustrating, but certainly a very clever idea. reach the ground and turn into crystal needles, these needles not only prevent you from reaching Godzilla's space, but also allow him to constantly recharge. e to blast you at full energy with a deadly fully charged Corona beam until you tie up the needle space Godzilla will eventually drain his own needles for energy until they break, but if you wait for that to happen you'll probably lose a lot of life .
The heat rays actually seem to re-energize inspires so you have to use physical attacks when you finally got close enough to hit space godzilla he wasn't a pushover when I hit him he hit me back like hard space godzilla does everything in his power to bring you down to the left. corner of the screen so I can create more towers by the time this is over I only had about five life bars allowed but it didn't matter because I didn't need to fight anymore I needed to run here we go again I decided well then and there that I really wanted to see the end of this game as scary as these levels could sometimes be.
I had to beat them to get through. the ending a d i almost made sure not to say a damn word when playing a chase level from here on out for this chase i tried on garris since his rolling attack allowed me to move faster than godzilla or mothra the chase started around two first except there was a river of blood under the ground. I was starting to get used to it and the extra speed from the turn helped me get an advantage over the red monster, especially since I didn't have to worry about a power limit and could just keep rolling. infinitely like previous levels with water the ground in Eveleigh stopped so I rolled towards the blood to my surprise the hell bees didn't follow me they just stopped the end on the ground and winced.
I guess he can't swim. I thought to myself so I dove into the blood and kept moving, there was nothing around but I knew something was up, the chase wasn't going to end, just like that, surely something else had to show up and sure enough, I heard the bellows. roar sounded slightly different and t The monster followed me with a new aquatic body. I had no idea he was a shapeshifter after he reappeared. The chase began to get into the difficulty he expected. what would keep me alive was quick thinking and reflexes. I found some bottomless pits in which minds floated.
I figured if you hit one it would damage you and knock you down. I tried my best to avoid them, but that was all I had to take into account halfway through the chase, the Hellbeast revealed another surprise: a gut-shaped tentacle and a tip with a set of clawed jaws popped out of it. his mouth trying to pull me. and devour me I barely avoided both the tentacle and the mines, but I could tell the Beast was getting desperate because the chase was almost over and a minute or so later it had seen a bit of ground. which served as an exit I jumped with all the strength I could muster The Beast screamed in rage and jumped out of the Bloody River with one last attempt to drag me down, but I escaped its grasp this time I fell back onto my bed and took a deep breath of contentment and another successful escape now i was heading to the fifth world entropy in the original game the sixth world was pluto ironically despite being the smallest planet pluto was the largest and most diverse world in the game entropy has a different design but was equally huge and various the music on the table was played by a violin instrument a melody started off sounding sad and then it becomes more like distorted i guess i would call it made me feel depressed and bewildered not something i want to hear while trying to sleep strangely none of the levels of the previous worlds was present here, instead there were eight new icons, the bosses this time for Megalon Batra and Mechagodzilla, as of c ostumbre, the first thing I did. what i did was go to the test level for another debriefing from the base but when i got there i noticed something different instead of the usual goofy Ghidorah music it was the password thing the music change seems to be intentional because after the first two questions at the beginning, the question began to take on a darker tone, do you like ice cream? yes, do you like clowns?
Yes, time slips through your fingers. I find it difficult to sleep at night. Yes, have you ever killed someone? Do you want to kill someone? No, are you really achieving something? No, only life has real meaning. but I had no idea what the result would be. I answered honestly because, like I said before, I never really liked Mothra. No one liked playing her mother in this game and there was a good reason for every time Mothra got hit. She slammed into the corner of the screen and sucks at fighting because her attacks are so weak. The only buff Mothra had was being able to fly over obstacles in some levels so I answered no and the face she actually answered back to me.
Maniacal expression, but with the text too bad, I was brought back to the map screen and was surprised to see that Godzilla and the gears had disappeared from the board, leaving only Mothra's face. It goes without saying thatI was angry, but there was nothing I could do and I'm willing to bet that even if I had said yes, I would have stayed with Mothra anyway. across the board i decided to take the lowest one this turned out to be a good choice for the reasons i will momentarily arrive the first world in front of me was a forest so i started there almost immediately.
I had the strange feeling that there was something about this level that I just found even more unpleasant than the previous ones, maybe it was the pitch black background. I have always been afraid of being in a forest at night. Something about all those trees makes me feel surrounded and vulnerable and the fact that I was trapped as Mothra didn't help playing the games from previous worlds either as Godzilla gave me a sense of bravery being in control of the king of monsters. I could handle just about anything thrown my way, but not so with Mothra. no sense of strength or security now i'm just a weak bug easily overwhelmed traversing the unknown back to level the music had new instruments that sounded like woodwinds followed by slow rhythmic drums and chiming bells gave me the feeling of that i was intruding in a dangerous place that i really shouldn't be in after a while i ran into the first enemies of the stage or at least i assumed they were enemies they were distanced long legged deer-like creatures instead of attacking they were just walking around idly I went to approach them and they ran.
I thought about shooting one with an eyebeam to see what would happen, but it seemed wrong. These creatures were harmless, so I stepped over them and continued through the level. from deer like animals and also to new creatures a sloth like creature with a beat climbing a tree and Harry wrapped her up like the creatures feeding on the deer it was very surreal to see these creatures interact I didn't feel like I was playing a video game rather i was traveling through a forest in some other dimension the creatures ignored me for the most part though the Raptors attacked me when i got too close or if i attacked them first i know i shot one of them to help one deer creatures escape I got Claudette, but the confrontation was easily avoided by flying to the top of the screen at first.
I had to choose whether I wanted to play the levels with the hourglass or the TV screen. I chose the latter. What I got was not at all what I expected when I hit the button to start a level on the TV screen like I normally would on this screen of the animation, there was also background music which was the silly Ghidorah music that used to be on. playing at test level If this made me a little uneasy because it was so weird. I also found it a bit creepy because I had a shirt that looked like this as a kid.
After starting the animation, you could return to the board by pressing any button. after that I had no idea what to expect for the rest of these icons. I went to try an hourglass icon. Next, I was somewhat relieved when an actual level appeared. It was certainly an unorthodox looking level, all brown with timing instruments floating in the air. and gigantic grandfather clocks in the background, the music was the same as the one on the board and very early in the level I ran into something else, I didn't expect to see the original enemies of the game and not just that it seemed to be a whole fleet of them and the yellow tanks that were normally mobile could move.
I did take some damage, but it wasn't anything I couldn't handle, but the most interesting thing about this level was the colored hourglass items. There were three of these. a blue outer crystal that made time slow down and filled the level with enemies from the past to a red hourglass that sped up time and filled the level with enemies from the future and three a green hourglass that set time to a normal speed and the level was filled with enemies from the original game. I first encountered the blue hourglass, as said, the game started to slow down and I saw the enemies from the past, which were five different types of prehistoric animals.
I don't know much about the prehistory but I think all these enemies represent real animals, the level went to another segment and I found the green hourglass and then I fought the original enemies again, it was the same five guys so I didn't take any screenshot but in the last segment I found the red hourglass and the enemies that must have been from the future now, whether or not the game was showing me 8-bit versions of creatures that will actually exist thousands of years in the future from Earth, I have no idea b But with that thought in mind, I found this particular segment very creepy and it got more tense because everything was moving faster.
One of the future enemies looked a lot like something I saw in a book. One is called Troodon man. Another seemed a species. of the organic spaceship there was only one of the fifth type of future creature and when it appeared everyone else ran for their lives leaving me alone to fight it, it could fly but since the sprite didn't actually move and a single attack would fire a ray. he shot out of his face even so, he was surprisingly powerful and I guess he could be considered a mini-boss after defeating him, he left a health power that restored the health and energy I had lost fighting him, which was convenient, it seemed like I would need all the help, I could beat this world with only Mothra after that previous stage that I call time warp, the next stage seemed to be a toxic waste dump, as you can see, the place looks dirty and inhospitable, the music it was a short loop of an ambient synth song listening to it makes me feel like i cut some toxic gas myself and was messing with my head the whole time.
I even felt like I was drowning while playing this level. All the enemies seem to be mutated to some degree in the screenshot above, you can see green mummies with bird skulls jumping out of the waist, it has spit projectiles, there is also a brown cow skeletal monster with spider legs halfway down the level, I even saw one of the deer in the forest. he was alone and when I saw him he was drinking toxic waste from a barrel with an anteater tongue. I was moving to try to stop it but then this flock of skull birds came out of nowhere and started attacking the deer I was scared by this and ended up running off the ground into the toxic waste.
I felt bad about it. I was bitten by one of the birds, but I quickly recovered my health by killing them all. They were pretty weak. I pushed forward all levels of entropy. This was probably the most normal appointment and that there was little deviation from the formula of advancing smashing things in the original game. I found more creatures throughout the level, like blobs of tentacles and some kind of deformed thing with human teeth that I didn't feel like provoking. I got them into a fight so I kept flying near the top of the screen. I still had to deal with the occasional flock of birds from time to time at the end of the level there was a big teal lake and then I ran into another mini-boss. of a monster with a long neck and a whale skull that attacks with a projectile in its mouth and charging at you could also dive underwater and quickly emerge from a different place, it was harder to beat than the monster from the tunnel of the time and he had a lot of health because it must have taken me three minutes to beat him and that with a very loud noise when he died and then sank back into the ocean when i left the screen on the board i went to the nearest level icon I h Haven't yet seen which one was a white tree as i assumed the level was a winter themed color change of the forest setting but unlike the normal forest i didn't feel nervous starting this one i think the music had a lot to do with it it's. it was soft calm sunshine it almost sounded romantic it was quite stressful to leave and the forest itself seemed so much less sinister more peaceful and snowy I traveled through the first segment enjoying the atmosphere for four minutes and suddenly realized something I hadn't seen not a single creature since i started the level where all the animals soon after i left the screen and the next segment started in the second segment i was still in winter force but now that the music was gone i was getting suspicious but then i reminded myself that there were other empty levels in the game and this was like another one of those but then i heard something familiar it was the 12 second looping music of unrelenting cold starting with i could feel my heart sink as i I met with t their horrific sight was a whole group of dead deer creatures covered in snow judging by the blackish blue hue of their fur they must have froze to death in a closer inspection some were missing body parts now i was scared but still had to move on to get out of the level i really expected to see something resembling the previous forest animals in a living state and sure enough i did it was a very pretty creature similar to beaked sloth except this thing had white fur and was more like a beaten up gorilla it was walking very slowly when i saw it but i was happy to at least see something alive however it didn't stay that way for long a herd of birds of prey that must have sensed something else was still alive swooped in from the right side of the screen. the beaten gorilla didn't stand a chance as one of the raptors immediately pounced on him, spreading his hind legs apart. hunting for prey when it brought on winter Raptors seemed to have gone berserk they attacked everything in sight one was running around scratching at nothing even the noises they made sounded different higher pitched and enraged when i left this second segment i saw two Raptors fighting until death, both were covered in injuries and one of the Raptors was blinded in one eye.
I took the screenshot. I didn't stick around to see who owned the fight. He only had one more segment to pass before he could go. I went back to the dashboard screen, but in this segment I was no longer in the winter forest, but on a very empty grassy plain with a bright gray moon in the sky. The pleasant music from the first part of the winter forest had returned and I immediately began to dread. its going to sound crazy but its the absolute truth, the game created this level from one of my memories, after a long period of nothing i came to a lake and then the moon came down from the sky and started hatching like a egg. when it did, a huddled humanoid figure fell into the lake as the moon rapidly disintegrated.
I heard a splash as he hit the water, then a moment of silence, then the screen started shaking and a new creature emerged from the water and there it was. I was introduced to a monster I call the moon beast, this was the only screenshot I took as I was focusing all my concentration on winning the fight and it was the hardest but strongest fight than any of the previous four bosses. This creature could have been hard to beat. taking down even Godzilla and without him seemed almost impossible. I guess I would consider myself lucky that the Beast lacked attacks like Diagon's saw because if it had, I would never have won this.
I had barely three health bars when I finally made the kill. this abomination, but what happened next is not what you could call a payoff. I've been trying to keep my promise and suppress this memory for years, but I seem to have to get it off my chest. This was a very painful memory for me, but the game already knows this and I think you should too. I'll just tell you the important parts because I don't like to bring this experience back to my head unless I have to go back to when I was in the middle. school, he had a girlfriend named Melissa, she suffered from some kind of mental disorder that caused her to have episodes when she was in an episode, she would stand or sit perfectly straight and still and her face would instantly lose whatever expression she had before doing it. she speaks very clearly without any hint of emotion when she finished she would start shaking and sometimes would bury her face in her hands and be silent for several minutes.
I really can't put the feeling she gave me into words and I won't try. i had to see him in person to understand but despite this she was a very kind person and i cared a lot for her we like to hang out in a field at night and look at the stars but one night she didn't say anything to me she just stares d straight to the shaking moon I tried to talk to her but she suddenly got up and ran straight into traffic I tried to stop her but I was too late she got hit by a truck and died that night I looked at her right on the ice as the wheels went over his neck, that sight has always haunted me.
I know the game knows about this because after I defeated the Lunar Beast this happened after the game went back to the dash screen. It was all I could do not to blow up. she was screaming and my hands were shaking so badly I could barely hold the controller. I knew the game would test me ifHe was still playing, but he had no idea that he would get this far or that he would be able to do what he had just done. I feel like my brain is going crazy as I asked myself if the game just read my mind which didn't seem possible, but what other explanation was there?
It was then that he could no longer deny what now seemed obvious. The game is alive and not only that. it can also make some sort of mental connection to the player, and yet I couldn't bring myself to stop playing. I don't know if it was the game that was messing with my mind or just my stubborn curiosity, but even with the previous reveal, I really wanted to see this through to the end. more than I did before I beat the scary madness, as it could even be dangerous. He knew that if he stopped playing he would never stop thinking about it.
If I tried to restart the game it might go back to normal. How many people? have i ever been able to witness anything like this first hand let alone be able to take screenshots of everything as it was this was the experience of a lifetime but still i couldn't take any chances with my health i had the remote of the tv right next to it ready to turn the tv off in case he felt he was in any real danger and if that didn't work he would pull the plug from the wall or just run out of the room.
He has seemed to be confined to what he can show on th TV and whatever his mental connection might do, it was the latter that worried me. I still didn't know what I was up against, so I wasn't going to underestimate it. I took a break for a few minutes to calm my nerves and then it was off. Going back to the game and speaking of TV, there was a TV screen icon just below the white forest I just left and since the first animation was so weird I thought I'd try another one to see what happens, although I was expecting the same animation. .
Got a totally different one weird the music for this one was Neptune Board music I guess since he's a fish man after all I can't help but wonder what's the point of this stuff there was just one more TV icon , so I thought. it should have its own unique animation. I was going to make sure to see what it was before leaving entropy, but then it was time to move on to another level. The gold brick icon was the closest thing so I went to that and started on a gold maze level my health and power were ref Not sure how or why but I was glad I wasn't heading into the unknown.
Almost dead. I also noticed that my Mothra sprite had shrunk to half its original size. quite disturbing the gold maze itself with an anomaly. I'm not sure how this level would have played out if I was using Godzilla or a garis because flying seems necessary just to get around this place. Another thing that stood out to me was that when you go left, your monster actually turns and faces left, that sounds stupid obvious but in the original game you were only supposed to move to the right, so when you tried to move to the left, your monster ended up walking or flying backwards.
This level was apparently a gigantic size because every time I thought I got to it I was going to end up back where I started I ran into something totally new things like lava blocks new enemies and statue faces and I found a statue in a dead end leaving wide-eyed the night Melissa died she had an expression on her face that looked exactly like that the whole time. Even when she got hit by a truck, she still had the same expression. I can't help but feel that something is really watching from behind the screen. When I look at this, I really didn't want to be reminded of it. that night, so I left the statue almost as soon as I found it.
I needed to find the exit anyway, which turned out to be no easy task. It seemed that this level stretched forever in all directions. 15 minutes before I finally saw something, it was a non-gold creature, apparently the only one of its kind in the level that lacked any kind of hover ability like the other creatures, it just walked up and down the new platform, but it didn't take long. after i found out that a flying machine swooped down and grabbed it and then flew away with it, apparently the machine hadn't seen me so i decided to follow it to see where it was taking the creature.
The machine stopped in a room in a large cauldron. like an object in the center the machine hovered over the cauldron and dropped the creature inside it the creature emerged from a hole in the cold interior now decked out in the same gold color as everything else the machine flew out not sure of what to do with this s but i'm glad i found it because i found the exit soon after when i got back to the board i noticed the bosses hadn't moved at all a little weird but it didn't bother me it made me plan my route through easier entropy, there were two new icons to explore the indigo cliffs and a black version of the maze, as there were only three black maze icons that were surrounded by bosses.
I played the indigo cliffs first, it was a lot like playing the blue or green mountains. the level graphics had the same shredded look there is also a color change of the clouds on the moon from the toxic waste landfill the music if you can call it that was just a deep rumbling noise one of the first things i found were these creatures multicolored with big heads emerging from a small cave in the ground, they all made a synchronized shaking sound and walked to the right in a group after leaving the cave ignoring me, having no other way to go, I followed them on their route more and more. he emerged from the cave until the group had around a hundred creatures, finally, the path ended at a cliff.
I was surprised to see that upon reaching the cliff, all the creatures began to jump into the abyss. I have never seen NPCs commit mass suicide like this. Very disturbing to start a level. I continued to fly over various animals on the stage like the ones shown here. In pretty safe or sprite versions of Godzilla's giant condor vs. sea monster, I've beaten some of the condos in battle, but it bothered me that these bigheads seemed so eager to die if the game itself is alive, perhaps the creatures in these levels. They are also alive and some have very unhappy lives if this behavior is any indication, but what provokes them to do this in the back of my mind I also suspect the glowing moon in the sky is the real one.
Son, at the end of the level I saw another group of bobbleheads marching towards a big monster and getting eaten, this was starting to annoy me so acting on impulse I shot and shot both the monster and the bobbleheads. I destroyed the cave. The monster got angry and rushed through the remaining bobbleheads to fight me, although it lacked ranged attacks, it was relentless, but it was no match for me. It was in the final stretch, now it depends on the bosses. he would see the last television screen replay the black maze before fighting Mechagodzilla and lastly going through the chase with the hellish beast.
I was curious to see if it would get a new form again, but first things first, it was time to hit Batra as expected. started in his larval form, the music was verint's battle theme whenever the game introduces a new Godzilla kaiju with more than one form, that other form always shows up for an otherwise inexplicable game, it's r ather Amazing with its consistency and precision with the new kaiju bosses, the fight began with a simple larva. Batra fought in a similar fashion to how magma did by charging back and forth and occasionally firing bolts from its horn during battle.
I noticed that Mothra's combat capabilities have been altered in my favour, the i-beams did double the damage they originally did, they were now as strong as Godzilla's punches, the poison dust was just buffed, it also did something nice where it would actually hit an enemy when you use it in the original game even though Wofford could fly she couldn't fly over an opponent he would get knocked back the same as if he just ran straight at them which it was extremely annoying but i was no longer able to change direction and fly which was a big help because fighting imago Batra was a lot like fighting a clone Mothra even though Batra is clearly faster and stronger he is no longer hindered Due to its slow-moving larvae form, the imago Patr a was a fearsome opponent, although it lacked the horn beam, it now had a new, more powerful eye beam: the bat rope could change direction as well. than me so this battle involved a lot of flapping and flying around it was a lot of fun to be honest so after beating Batra I was excited to see what Megalon would be like but first I went through an indigo cliffs level and shot at lots of health buff creatures so about Medellin his music was boyish theme makes sense since sky Gann was his battle partner in mega lines 1 and so far just the look and feel of the movie it looked a lot like the ROM milky but faster and with more weapons, began to charge with their exercises.
I like to fly back and forth around him, which seems to really annoy him. after a few seconds, he stepped back, turned around and started throwing grenades. Those were a pain because they bounced when they hit the ground. Finally, he started spamming his lightning bolt. er and then shoot him with general high beams. I described the strong and persistent but foolishness of him. He now he was reaching the end of entropy. I had just taken down Megalon and turned on the last TV screen to see what I would get this time. the result was disgusting the music for this gruesome scene was the password Fame I couldn't figure out why this animation was so sinister and violent compared to the other two the whole game seemed to get more benevolent as it progressed to end the entropy I started to feel exhausted is hard to describe like i suddenly got tired when i wasn't before, most likely it was just the stress of everything that's been going on with the game getting to me but who knows the last kind of level in entropy is what i call the maze of shadows the landscape was to remember it from gold to black the music was an evil environment similar to the relentless cold cycle but distinctly different the music was my first sign that this level is going to be harrowing i travel through the I simmered for about a minute and realized there weren't any creatures flitting around.
It was a weird transition from the golden labyrinth being overrun by creatures at this level that had nothing at all, but then this could be a good thing. There wouldn't be any obstacles and I was able to pass the level with ease then the screen went black and I immediately snapped out of my days for a few seconds before everything had gone black so all I could see was the Mothra sprite. I didn't say where I was going and ended up running frantically against the walls, I heard a noise, the sound of a crowd running down a corridor and along with a run came the roars, loud roars, which I could describe as something like a mad dog. . the size of an elephant screaming furiously and I realized that whatever was making this noise there were a lot of them.
I knew there was something there, but it wasn't until I did a screenshot edit that I could see what my ke pursuers look like, but at that point I couldn't see where they were or where I was going, I was literally running blind and this multitude of beasts finally caught up with me. All I could think of was no. I was reduced to half my full health by the time I was saved, the light came back on and the attackers were gone, so this level's challenge was revealed: find the exit before the lights go out and a bunch of monsters bite you i was in panic mode now moving as fast as i could while trying every path i could find my way out while playing through the level the lights went out a total of three times the second time i would have been dead meat if it hadn't been for one of the statues with wide eyes as i stayed near it the monsters seemed to avoid me until the light came back the statue rewarded them somehow i was safe as long as i stayed near the statue but at the same time i had to get out to find the exit, the maze of shadows turned out to be much smaller than the golden maze, as it only took about six minutes to navigate to the end, but before the exit there was a row of corridors that led straight down with no exit once you entered, or else went to the exit before the monsters reached you or you died luckily I made it just one more boss Mechagodzilla I started the battle and got something unexpected but not only did my life spike to 100% again it seems to do that randomly but instead of a replacement boss I was fighting Godzilla but any Godzilla fan worth their salt can figure this out Mechagodzilla started out as fighting a clone of Godzilla, but his costume burned out after only three life bars, usually a transformation only happened at the halfway point inAt this point, it was like fighting Mega Gunsel in the normal game, it felt nice.
It was nice to fight one of the original enemies in the game for a change, although it wasn't quite the same as usual, it also had a rainbow beam and finger missiles, which prevented me from doing the old trick. f backing him around a corner and hitting him with eye beams in a spot where he can't hit me but that was always a cheap trick anyway but after I got him down to half health something weird started to happen his sprite started to glitch a lot In the same way that Gazzara had returned to the first world, after a few seconds the glitches began to take a new shape and thus the game had not created Mechagodzilla and I found that this visual glitch was somehow related to the game that recreated the human face. in this one he was very strange looking he was one of the strongest replacement monsters and had the most firepower shown here is his mouth beam which i got caught in the middle even though he was a bit stronger too he was slower than his original counterpart and couldn't jump as much, I won the fight by constantly staying out of his line of fire, but the barding machine's poison dust as I flew over him, one less thing to do, chasing the bees from hell, oh boy, might as well get this. finished I thought the entropy and the chase ended up being exactly what I feared a maze level would be like all the other chases although difficult were extremely straightforward you just had to run to the right and not get hit but this took all the simplicity out of it . from that there was no way of knowing how big this maze would be or where the exit was and now not only did I have to constantly backtrack to find the exit, I also had to prevent the red monster from killing me in one hit and for those first 30 Seconds he didn't show up but I knew he would and as I started to pick up the pace I heard a loud flapping of wings and there he was in flight form he was flying on bat wings and he was fast and relentless as always. for the reasons already mentioned this was probably the most stressful of the whole jesus ending and as such i had to keep my focus on the game and not take screenshots, however i did take one of the red monsters doing something that I found it very interesting. he had managed to lose it by going through a different path than he apparently expected and one of the organic walls of the red maze prevented him from attacking me or so I thought, he tried to walk through the wall for a second before opening his mouth and ripping the wall with its jaws intestine, but for those brief milliseconds that the monster was held could have been the key to finding the exit, the way out was complex from what I remember.
I went up and then went back to the left. I'm still not sure why. I chose that particular shape just on a lucky hunch. I guess I was sweating profusely, but My luck has saved me once again. I was hoping it wouldn't be over before I finished the game. There were only two more worlds left. bliss in the brief instant before the transition between entropy and bliss i was hoping to bring godzilla and angurius back when the board came up i saw my wish was half granted i had godzilla back but knowing garris i would have preferred both but regardless Given that the Gears have good abilities, I would have gone with Godzilla if I had to choose between the two exes.
He had two temples of different colors, white and pink. A pyramid that looked like some modern buildings and two other icons that I couldn't figure out at the time, the new bosses were COO Munga Goro Soros and not Ghidorah, whom I feared to see let alone fight Godzilla again. I was excited again and eager to explore, but still cautious. I went to the test level first, just like before. This time, the questions on the faces were more random than ever. Two elephants breathe. have you ever raped someone isn't green your favorite color isn't the computer the pinnacle of modern technology yes you're a tough guy yes you can fly you can't stand on your head yes you hate raccoons you don't feel guilty not like a new monster yeah, will you miss me? yes, i was happy to have a new monster, but the last question bothered me, will you miss me?
I wasn't sure what to make of the face or anything else in the game, but something about that last statement gave me a genuine feeling of sadness in the face as I thought about this, the game was back on the board. I had a new month. nster, but had no idea who he was supposed to be, the spray looked a bit like Rodin, but his head was totally blown off. I moved this mysterious newcomer to a white temple icon and started the level. When I started the level this screen appeared with the text find the gem presumably instructions to beat the level after that I first saw my new playable monster a dark blue furry creature with bat wings and a skull face called Solomon and I also found that my way was blocked by a beam of light and a small pillar with a plate on it I thought that this beam of light was blocking the exit so I had to find the gem and drop it on the plate to deactivate the Damn, how exactly was I going to do that?
I know there was nothing in the original game that required you to find an item to beat a level. I would have to find out when I got the gem, the only direction I had to go was left so I preceded Solomon, he was an interesting monster. to say the least, he was capable of both. light and heat ray both of which proved to be very useful, he could also kick and slash with his wings, but he couldn't dodge the white temples, the music was a vocalizing chorus or a video game approximation of that, hard to describe but i had too holy for that it wasn't long before i started running into waves of strange new enemies that did little to stop me i ran past them while slashing and took no damage there was a pause between each wave of enemies i've killed at about ten, there won't be any for another minute, then the next wave will appear after five minutes.
I noticed holes in the floor and ceiling. The guillotine-mouthed creatures were rapidly flying up and down these cracks, so I had to time my jumps carefully. because i didn't know if i would get another chance with this luckily i made it through without a scratch i'm just lucky i guess after that i found myself at the end of the hall they looked like some kind of mini boss monster moved very fast but had some ki second of projectile that it shot out in four directions, but I killed it pretty easily using Solomons Heat when the battle was over.
I had my gem that was inside the creature's head. I found that I could pick it up and hold the gem by walking towards it. and holding B I made the long journey back to the start I deposited the gem on the plate that deactivated the lightning I left the stage and was shown what was probably the weirdest quirk related to Solomon's monster every time you complete a stage or defeat to a boss with solomon this screen appears i have no idea what is still the best 1973 means neither the date nor the phrase has any meaning or importance to me that i can think of and i have spent a lot of time thinking about it the next level i played it was one I call the bronze pyramids.
I used Godzilla and found that he had leveled up to twelve since the last time I played he had him insane. The bronze pyramids were pretty average as far as these levels go, but the visuals were pretty interesting. almost uncharacteristically colorful Smelly and upbeat Music was appropriately Egyptian in style It was slow and eerie sounding I wandered through the level fighting multiple enemies None were too difficult although hands can be a pain if you run into too many at once My favorite enemy It was this giant reptile that I met halfway through the end of the level.
I made it to a giant pyramid and engaged in another mini-boss fight, although this one was a bit different in that I had to fight two of these monsters at the same time. Individually, I could have dealt with them easily, but fighting both at once was challenging, but I speeded things up by tricking one of the twin beasts into roasting her brother by jumping when using her flame breath. After defeating the twin monsters, I noticed something. strange after returning to the Now I could move my monster piece anywhere on the board without limits. Normally, Godzilla could only move two spaces each turn and Mothra could move four.
I wanted to test Solomon a bit more so I moved his piece to one of these brown icons that look like pillars with colored dots and started the level when I got to the level and then realized what the level icon represented totems. Two of them greeted me to the right. At first the music had a Native American sound to it, it seemed to be using the same instruments as the entropy forest, it was noticeably different, but tying-wise, I walked for three minutes with nothing else in sight besides the totem poles. I didn't realize it until then, but I wasn't expecting another level with nothing alive after all the activity and entropy walking around all those multicolored faces. i was already halfway there after i got back from the totem pole i tried one of the tv screens to see how weird they were, this time even weirder than before, apparently the music for this w As the theme of uranus i changed again to godzilla to play another level and this level was a big surprise it was a normal city level the colors were gloomy but it was still a shock this is the kind of level i would expect to see. a Godzilla game and I was a bit mad I didn't get him to play it sooner, the music was the theme of earth, I found it strange that a level appropriate for a Godzilla game would come out so late, but there's no point in crying over milk shed.
Suppose I moved Solomon to a gray-green icon which turned out to be a giant hi-tech lab of some sort, lots of mechanical drones on this level, but Solomon went through them like the white temple enemies, the music was a gritty industrial beat in there. There was also a strange flying cyborg enemy that was annoying because he would fly. We've jumped in to also attack of interest where these big stasis tanks contain some kind of monster inside. pierced by glass i tried to get past the stasis tanks as fast as possible because the monsters inside proved to be vicious little bastards upon being released at the end of the level there was the elevator i used to go down to the end of the level where the exit was on the way i got shot by the security drones i couldn't get out of the elevator so my only defense was the heat ray the last kind of level was the simple thing i call the temple of the heart for obvious reasons nothing more than a big hallway filled with Floating enemies in the shape of human hearts, they are incapable of causing you damage, so what you do is run through the levels smashing as many as you can to get all the powers. full and would really appreciate these levels, the temples of heart music reminded me of a circus tune, it had too upbeat sound which gave the level a really weird feeling.
Having seen all these levels, I chose to fight Gore's fountain using Sol. omon, the music for this fight was gazzola's theme. It was during this fight that I realized that Solomon was bested with a single well-aimed slash and knocked out up to four of an enemy's lives. Because of this, the fight ended very quickly. projectile attacks or anything else that can match Solomon's death claws, but I kept the fight going long enough to see if Gore's source would use his iconic kangaroo kick and I was very pleased when he did, even though I knew Solomon was my fighting ace I used.
Godzilla to fight come on just for variety I briefly considered using Mothra but of course Godzilla won Cahuenga was also a simple date no heat beams from nothing he attacks by jumping on you stabbing with his jaws he also uses his signature web flow to hit you paralyze once you get caught kamongo will sometimes take the opportunity to attack you but its mostly a way to buy some time or corner you until the time is up his music was stinky theme with gore source and KU manga defeated was at the end of ecstasy before fighting Ghidorah there was something i had to do i didn't expect much of it but for the sake of documentation i took a look at the other tv screen this is what it was i don't think there was much reason behind the tv screens If I had to guess I'd say it's an uncontrolled random manifestation of cartridge abilities or maybe this all makes a lot of sense for the game. ego who knows anyway sir The griffon's theme was Saturn's music, it was time the opponent he had been fearing was not Ghidorah, though he had gained courage with Solomon's combat advantages.
I was still nervous and when I started the fight I was immediately confused. My opponent was not Gazzara. I defeated the impostor. with a few hits and then no mo Kira appeared, so it made sense to get to no Ghidorah. I had to fightagainst all previous replacements first and fought against them. I did it after beating na mo Kira and then not Ferran. appeared and after him it was not Hedorah and after him it was not Barragan, then it was not gigan and finally it was not Mechagodzilla. I made my way through them until I finally got to not being Ghidorah, which was a door right away.
I stopped laughing. I destroyed it with just two slashes. the music stopped and i thought i would go back to the board but the battle wasnt over yet the real fight was against the chimera a monstrous hybrid of all the replacement beasts this was by far the hardest boss but every This attack would be I reduced full health bars per use while the attacks against him were greatly weakened. Solomons slash, for example, was now lucky enough to take half a health bar off me during this battle. I got great appreciation for two things: the boss fight time limit and the heart temple. if it hadn't been for those things, he might never have beaten this boss to defeat this giant.
I came up with a strategy. I would switch between Godzilla and Solomon when one started getting dangerously low on health. I would take him to the temple of the heart while fighting the chimera with the other I should count my blessings that the chimera was unable to regain its lost health One very interesting thing about the chimera was that the colored sections of its body correspond to the different parts of its body so each body part effectively had its own life meter the head was invincible as long as the other parts were present and would always be the last part to be destroyed as well as being hard it was also the longest fight so far i tried to remember how many times the timer took me out of the fight but i lost count around 13 i eventually destroyed all the components but the head that was now flying by itself at incredible speed the chimera fought well but was extremely determined and once that was reduced to a head that no longer had the power to defeat Solomon and I cast it into oblivion and then the chimera was no more This I was exhausted after that prolonged fight and worried that it might affect my performance Once at the end of the world chase level, the headquarters icon was replaced, but not by the face of the infernal beast, instead it was a crucifix .
I was completely stunned. He was not excited to see the hell beast icon again. levels was that they were predictable i had a basic idea of what to expect but now here i was at the end and the icon was completely different what it meant and why a crucifix made me feel very uncomfortable i tried to start the level with solomon but i couldn't. I got this notice that it just said Solomon can't get in here, it didn't say why, but I think maybe it has to do with Solomon's demonic appearance, since Solomon was out of the question.
I went with Godzilla once. I saw the level the crucifix made sense the level was a graveyard I was still nervous thinking this was some kind of trick the last level had always involved me running away from the demon beast and I wasn't going to be fooled thinking this would be different So I started to run, but after a minute without interruption I slowed down. It was during that time that music caught my attention. -little rendition of the prayer for peace from the first Godzilla movie, a very sad and powerful song, even in this form two minutes into the level I was hit with something I wasn't sure how to react to my first instinct was run, but this blue statuesque being just floated in place and I felt compared to just looking at it for a while as it was a tomb and hovered over a chapel.
I guess it was some kind of angel watching over the deceased. He gave me a strange but warm feeling I wouldn't say happy but I felt he was at peace somehow I have never seen this being before but he seems very familiar just as I was about to leave the piece of hell appeared and his presence distorted the music into a terrifying jarring shriek and transformed as the level desecrated the tombstones as a new terrain made up of blood-soaked bodies appeared I could feel my heart beating out of control I had no chance of escaping with the monster that closed it lashed out with a death but the angel got in his way the Demon Lord and started scratching the Angel's leg and tears of blood flowed from her eyes.
I wanted to save the angel but there was nothing I could do I had to honor his sacrifice and run and so I ran across the hellish landscape as best I could the Beast soon caught up with me still swallowing the body of the angel whose legs I had torn off and this sight made my heart drop. terror turned to anger. Now I found myself hating this hideous monster. He had no doubt that it was pure evil and wanted him to die when he got to the end. I remember what he was like. He responded to my insult and trance I spoke to him and told him that you are going to pay, this was his response.
I had no idea how I would follow through with that threat and nothing could have prepared me for the horrors of the final zenith of the world and here. we are in the final world. I don't like to discuss this part and it still bothers me a lot, but it's something I have to do so I can put this behind me. People deserve to know. the unnatural nature of the game, but Zenith was different from the rest of the world. ds while the worlds were admittedly strange and at times scary, Zenith's world was a nightmare and I didn't have to look further than the dash screen for an indication that something was wrong with Zenith, the first thing I noticed was the color blood red. the texture of the board and the music, which was an eerie whistling tune.
I realized I had Solomon and a gear back and felt better for a second then scrolled to the right to see who my enemies would be this time this time it was destoroyah and Ghidorah but judging by the icon it was a different Ghidorah than the original standing on the ground instead of flying, the grotesquely detailed pinkish red icons also caught my eye. He couldn't tell what it was supposed to be and was afraid of finding it. I got out and went back to my side of the board. I decided there was no choice but to do my usual routine of going to the test level before doing anything else.
He was not prepared for what had happened. I jumped back when he disappeared. Denied by a terribly distorted version of the password issue, it seemed that Face had fallen victim to some terrible glitch. Is this what you meant by you'll miss me? Did you know this would happen? My thoughts stopped short when I noticed the screen was failing. and apparently it was falling apart while idle so i quickly exited and when i got back to the board i had somehow gained a new monster. They hadn't even asked me if I wanted one. I tried to select it and this happened.
It was happening, the behavior of the game was scaring me and I hadn't even started the levels, but I couldn't understand why they gave me a random new character and then refused to use it, but at the moment there was little that could be done. and i watched the last tv screen no animation no dead music every instinct i had was telling me to stop playing to just turn the game off and something in the game itself might have been trying to warn me about how horrible this last world was but then every stretch of the way I was forced to give up I couldn't do that now not in the last world plus after taunting me with Melissa's memories I felt like the game owed me some answers I realized the first level it was a red temple so at least he would be familiar with the level graphics if nothing else.
I walked in with Godzilla, the monster I was most familiar with. Godzilla had shrunk. The level and score meters were gone and the blue temple statue faces were back. blue temple also weird haunting vocalizations i try to cheer myself up thinking well this level is like blue temple so that could mean no enemies to deal with how wrong i was after a short walk all the statues started glowing and a herd of beasts from the shadow maze pounced on me as they came from the right of the screen. I had to fight my way through them.
This battle tested my reflexes, but thanks to my speed I cut through the beasts. I removed health powers after dying, which helped me recover the damage that had been dealt to me, however as I continued down the hall, the statues' eyes glowed again, summoning another wave, it seemed to me the same number of them but this time I was less prepared and I took more damage I went through four of these waves until I reached the end of the corridor where I hate being the last of the monsters on the edge of a chasm at first it seemed like I had reached a dead end exit, but after the eyes of the statues stopped shining a brick road slowly appeared before me.
I followed the path moving to the right until it stopped at a wall where I had to go vertically jumping ledges along the way. I found new creatures and some kind of strange shrine that had a statue of the beast from hell and some other creature that I don't recognize as I went down the path it took a downward direction I had to aim my jumps carefully to avoid the enemies that abounded in this part of the stage they didn't have many attacks but they could easily push you off the edge of the platform at the end of this tunnel there were some small platforms floating on nothing.
I landed on one to the left of the screen and then something came down from above. the blue angel from the graveyard except now it was red and had a skull face any of the nice feelings he had from the blue ink weren't present with this red as it floated around his eye and began to glow like the statues that summon monsters to attacking me surely this wasn't the same benevolent being I ran into earlier this must have been some kind of imposter the battle was stressful as I started with almost half my health and had to deal with multiple opponents as well as the threat of Gravity made things even worse as the red angel to damage some of the panels fell down until there were only three left but my luck hadn't run out yet, just when I thought I was done I hit the red angel one plus. time and it turned out that one last hit was all it could take just as the Red Angel completely disintegrated the game instantly back to the overhead board I moved Mothra to the nearby stage from the red temple which seemed to be a jumbled mess of the letters spelling out kill and i started playing like i suspected all the level graphics were made of jumbled letters and mothra just like godzilla was cut in half i started to suspect all zenith levels would be like this the background music was terrible like someone put all the sounds that an NES was capable of turning into a blender and then putting them back together into a song.
I had to turn the volume down because I was playing as mothra main avoiding enemies more easily, but the first enemies I saw were determined to attack me nonetheless. it was cans of headless dudes and later there were rebuilt hybrid monsters from previous bosses like the bilat that headed the things you see here it's been five minutes like i haven't seen anything new and the level changed to another segment the music changed from loud and annoying beeps to something much more ambient and threatening, the graphics of the level also changed, now it looked like a blood soaked junkyard, the way everything in this level read made it look disgusting.
Enemies multiplied in numbers that never stopped following me and it became increasingly difficult to avoid and at the end of the level the situation reached a climax as the swarms of monsters merged into one huge terrifying hybrid once I had cleared the level. initial. Surprise, I figured out a way to destroy this thing by constantly shooting eye beams at the group of Hedorah that formed their heads. If you attack anywhere else, it would regenerate the damage, even with that knowledge. This was an extremely difficult fight. I would say it was just as difficult as fighting the moon beast was if not more difficult, its most common attack was to lunge forward with arms covered with Gigan saws and blades, if touched it would be instantaneous. drain health when finished the remaining monsters collapsed in a heap then they and the ground below them started disintegrating and sinking towards the bottom of the screen when i got back to the board i thought to myself so far the game has been putting the easiest levels first, if that's the case how bad will the rest of zenith be with two levels down and three to go? my monsters and I had established ourselves in the world of nightmares. harder than ever, but in the end I had no way of knowing what the next level would be like or how well my monsters would be prepared for it, so my only option was to guess.
I tried to interpret what the icons would be for the next levels ahead of me. It was the last level before the boss bells obviously represented some sort ofof volcanic area with lava and open flames. also the size of the one closest and about to enter, they looked like thorny vines covering a pool of blood. I guess this would be a level with rivers of blood like the madness chase level itself. movement, it would have the fastest speed while submerged, the level that I call a lake of blood looked like it was waiting for rivers of blood accompanied by vines covered in thorns that were scattered along the sides of the ground, the music was quite weak, but could hear a distinctive drum. and some other instruments, lots of echoes and sometimes it sounded like someone was beating a drum underwater.
I was disappointed to see that Garris was shrunk just like Godzilla and Mothra. Apparently all Zenith levels would be like this. I felt less safe. with my not-so-giant giant monsters anymore, I walked without interruption for just a minute until my path came to a dead end, there was a big gap between the ground I was walking on and the g I would have turned to the right of the road. screen, he would have swam across it and kept walking to the right, but due to the huge mass of brambles in the way, there was nowhere to go. vines spreading and screeching at me like a crow does an invader of its territory another bewildering display of possibly sentient spider creatures from this game if it is accurate to refer to them as part of the game where i descended into the blood slowly sinking to the ground there was aquatic enemies everywhere and hard to avoid them, the black shark in particular was very aggressive and hard to deal with but luckily I only found one as the scene got more and more crowded, I swam to the surface to find it full of creepy floating corpses but at least they're not a threat or so I thought until they all came to life and left me they were trying to sink me and were draining my h As they did they all attacked as a group and when I took one off another one would jump on me from behind.
I had to curl up into a ball and roll to get them to loosen their grip and when they did, I quickly withdrew. Not long before you hit another dirt path, a note about the brambles, you can stand on them but they cause pain, you can also destroy some of the vines but only the skinniest ones. was interrupted by a screen, this screen was only active for about 30 seconds, then when it came back to the level I was facing another dead end and a pregnant humanoid creature was hanging off the top right of the screen by a column or something . umbilical cord instantly, the creature's belly was ripped open from the inside and as its lower body was torn open and fell into the river below, it was revealed that the chief of the blood lakes came flying towards me making a high pitched scream and cutting.
I was forced to move back the ba he was a very mobile boss, fast and hard to hit. As he backed across the floor, the monster opened its mouth and screamed a barrage of needles. I jumped on them and managed to hit him on the head and he started to fly away. my reach as the bat flew, it shot a stream of fire from its eye sockets and started trying to hit me with the flames. I rolled on the ground, which drained my power, but got us up to speed. This cycle was repeated about three times until the monster was defeated with most of my health depleted I returned to the edge of the level and the large bramble vine blocking the exit was now gone now there are only two levels left to go who gets down this time godzilla mothra and the gears have completed a level leaving solomon and also the mysterious fifth monster i tried to access it again but no luck i chose to use godzilla again for the next level and solomon for the last one the penultimate level is what i call the organic level that was the mo It was visually unappealing to them from the start.
I could see that the graphics were strangely different. The atmosphere was dire and foreboding with the addition of loud music. I was afraid of what I would see on this level and it was only a few seconds. Before some looked like horrible stuff, it's hard to describe most of this level, everything has this eerie semi-real look, most of the enemies look halfway between real animals and miss lumps of blood and teeth. It's also worth noting that all of them were considerably bigger than Godzilla and while most weren't very smart, each of them took about 30 hits to kill, so running from them was a better idea than fighting and it was never clear. exactly which direction to run while most levels involve going through the right to get to the exit.
The path of this level consisted mainly of walking down to the edge of a platform and jumping to a lower one. or a way to make sure you were going the right way or any apparent means of getting back up onto the high platforms and necessarily also certain enemies acted as if they knew you had to jump and would stand on the edge of a higher platform go down waiting for you when this happened i would have to walk back and wait until the monster left as i went i came across platforms stacked on top of each other with little space in between it looked like a maze this meant i couldnt jump and made it hard to escape of the enemies luckily the only enemies able to pass through these tables with a four legged Beast which is seen at the start of the level adding to the difficulty were long ribbons or masks on monsters rising between the platforms and trapping you ; the only attack they responded to was the heat ray which caused them to shrink, but this cost even more energy and I couldn't afford to go without heat for long while trying to avoid the abominations that inhabit this level.
I found that if you stay idle in one place for too long, the ground tries to absorb your monster. I think it was about four minutes before the end, this level is making me physically sick, the stress was getting to me and having to look at all these disgusting sights made me want to throw up. I almost stopped the game to look for his back, but I was able to contain it. Together, I also found a cheat at the end of the level, although it was too late for it to be of any use to me.
If two different species of monsters met face to face, they would fight each other and leave me alone. I didn't do it intentionally. because this just happened finally at the end it was time for another boss fight it was certainly ugly but not as horrible as i feared it would be but more important than dealing with his appearance was defeating him and since i had less than half my health bar to begin with , there was no room for mistakes, it was attached to the ground when I first saw it, but after 10 hits, it detached from the ground and began to float, it moved fast and unlike the blood lakes boss, it didn't stay. was hindered in any way. of gravity, he was even able to fly across the ground without any collision effect, he used this to his advantage and would float under the ground and jump randomly to bite you, but stopped after a few well aimed kicks to the head. expensive. pink area o n his upper jaw was his weak point too many hits would cause him to spasm uncontrollably the new strategy was to rapidly float up and down while moving back and forth across the stage trying to constantly keep his jaws pointed at me health went down it was getting critical at this point and i sent out the heat ray from which i had no defense in the last leg of the battle the monster had lost its mind running quickly from side to side and gnashing its jaws i had to duck and then attack when it was on its side back.
Twenty more views and it was destroyed and then there was one last level left. I didn't hesitate, I selected Solomon and went in maybe a little too fast. This last level was definitely the peak of the disconnect between what the NES was graphically capable of and what this game could create. The music also caught my attention. It was one of the only songs that featured more than once. when the infernal beasts appeared in the graveyard as soon as i started there was already an enemy prepared to attack a centaur wielding a whip and i was not alone when i started fighting several more centaurs appeared coming from both sides on the screen at the same time it was too much to handle Solomon's flight saved me from taking too much damage at the beginning of the level.
The centaurs followed after they couldn't seem to jump after escaping from the centaurs. Lava and a creature emerged and tried to grab me. They didn't make it, but I got scared. Careful maneuvering would be needed to avoid instant death here as new enemies appeared. The level soon became very difficult. he stood on top of tall, narrow mountains and spewed fire. I passed them by waiting until their backs were turned and hitting them with a flying kick that sent them falling into the lava. It was at that moment that I noticed that I didn't gain any health from killing enemies, not all of the ground was stable at one point, the ground was reduced to little bits that slowly drifted to the right, some of them were sinking into the lava when landing and then there was no telling which one would sink and which one not being that close to the lava added the threat of lava creatures and this was very frustrating.
I also felt very hot, which made it difficult for me to concentrate. that i stopped periodically for water because of that, almost certainly it was due to the game and not my imagination, but i kept pushing the thought out of my head i didn't want to think about it at the end of the stage i ran into the boss coming out of the lava is a rival he charged with an unholy howling roar as he walked towards the earth i saw how gigantic he was several times the size of solomon he was about to launch an attack when he opened his mouth and let out a huge blast of fire i had to dodge the flames and then get close enough to the boss to shoot a heat ray into his face which caused him to stumble backwards if he hadn't stumbled backwards he would have kept moving left until he forced Solomon into the lava as there was no more I usually. within its range, the Beast had to wait between uses of its fire breath, as it seemed to cost a large amount of energy.
I used this time to attack, but fire wasn't his only weapon and I had to be careful with the monsters hitting me hard. his clawed hands as his health decreased he moved faster and the battle felt like a tug of war between the two monsters over this dirt bridge after about 40 hits he was defeated falling backwards into the lava he came from and then the final stage had been completed at last it came down to two bosses and one final encounter it was the beasts from hell for some reason i thought ghidorah would be easier to beat so i faced him first classic ghidorah battle music of the original game started when I faced off. ainst the new king ghidorah King Ghidorah was as powerful and relentless as ever, he instantly lashed out with gravity beams that were more damaging than Godzilla's heat beam, it became a fight of constantly beating Endora at every opportunity to stop her from using the attack but Ghidorah soon saw through my tactic and started using physical attacks as well he was hitting with each of his necks pulling me back and making it impossible to get close enough to hit him but I had the idea to wait for him to launch with one of his heads and Immediately burst with heat it worked and to my surprise the bunch destroyed Couture's middle head but it was only a few seconds before I realized what this would lead to and sure enough King Ghidorah he used the power of the glitch to transform into mecha King.
Ghidorah, but what really surprised me was the change of music of Son, I had heard it before, but it was not from the original NES game, it was from the game Super Godzilla during the mecha King Ghidorah fighting the mecha kinga gates the first attack was the most deadly the machine hand very similar to the one Goggins saw immobilizes the monster and quickly drains the health bar thankfully before king ghidorah could deal much damage the time ran out he would have to Defeat the mechanical king Ghidorah quickly to prevent him use the ham from the machine, so I sent Solomon to fight him.
The two monsters were equal in strength, but Solomon was faster and relentlessly slicing and emitting heat, the cyborg monster soon met its end with Ghidorah defeated. I was returned to the board. I now outnumber the enemy by 4 monsters to one and victory seemed within reach. The base icon had changed to a blood red color. She could feel the hate emanating from him. and the music was the same as Ghidorah's when the fight started. The destroyer was in microscopic form after one hit, he transformed into the juvenile who had few attacks and was also dealt. With ease, the fight turned serious once the destroyer entered aggregate form and gained the use of big arms and the micro oxygen beam.
My gears. His roll, which had been very useful so far, became useless because the destroyer was constantly attacking me with his big arms when I tried. to use it in this part of thefight, I had to rely on brute force just before time ran out, the destroyer had changed to its flying form, so Angrius was not prepared to fight. I fought the flying form with Mothra which seemed proper Mothra was weaker than a garis but was much better equipped to dodge and counter attacks from the flying destroyers so the fight was in my favor however the music The Ghidorah mecha fight blare began to play and the destroyer changed into its final form sooner than expected, drastically turning the tables.
Mothra's attacks were doing very little to destroy and I had to move furiously to avoid damage while waiting for the time to run out even though it would be almost impossible to beat the destroyer with Mothra I still had three other monsters in final form destroyer was very resistant to taking damage and the heavily armored enemy wouldn't be defeated without a long fight in the last part of the fight. I wasn't using much strategy just attacking as brutally and as fast as I could, raging between Godzilla's fire breath and Godzilla's brute force. the gears and Solomon whenever he could on his last health bar, the destroyer attempted one last counter attack with an energy bolt from his chest.
I did not know how. mighty would have been because just before i could fire i hit the destroyer in the chest cavity destroying it and that was it. The player's last boss was gone in the midst of all the excitement. He had briefly forgotten that there was still one last thing to do. before the game ended seeing the icon again hit me like a ton of bricks and I froze for a few minutes. He had come this far to get to this point, but he was terrified. I really didn't want to know what The Last Meeting was going to be like before I could allow myself to think about it any longer.
I move Godzilla and started the stage. You are here now. This is the end. Just one last thing and then it was all over. when the screen changed there was nothing, just Godzilla on a black screen. I paced back and forth, I shot a beam of light, nothing happened until I heard something, the faint sound of a familiar drum, you oh my god that was my first thought realizing I would have to. Fight read the creature that had plagued me for most of the game. How could I fight against something that can kill me with a single touch?
It seemed totally impossible. Fortunately, Red could no longer kill with one hit. Hardest battle I've ever faced in this game or else if I'd had a real understanding of what I was getting myself into before starting the fight I never would have. n't made red reached out and clawed at Godzilla and when those claws went through him I felt it. I know it's common for people to cringe when a video game character is hit or killed, but this doesn't mean this was genuine. physical pain when the pain hit i paused the game i had no real injury but it felt like my shoulder was scratched i had seen and experienced a lot of unpleasant things at this point but the game causing the real pain was where i drew the line, yeah , I would be disappointed not to see the end, but the risk was no longer worth it.
I was about to get up to take one last screenshot and shut down the NES, but I realized something I couldn't. When I got up I was paralyzed in my seat, the only muscle I could move were my fingers and thumbs and as the terror set in as a new message appeared on the screen I started to scream but only a faint choking sound came out. I tried desperately to get my body to move but it didn't do anything I was looking every which way and then I looked at the computer somehow the computer was taking screenshots of the game by itself when I started the fight.
I still don't know how or why something in the game must have caused it from red. I could hear what he was saying. I tried to beg him to let me out of here. Things started to get confusing as I was under extreme stress at the time. As far as I can remember, I meant this. again please and red responded by saying this, that statement couldn't be clearer if i couldn't kill red he would kill me like an idiot, i had played with something i didn't understand and now it could cost me my life. I stopped trying to move and accepted the reality of the situation.
There was only one way out of this life. I had to kill Red. It all happened so fast that if it weren't for the screenshots, I might not have remembered any of them. this just like in the red chase levels moves to horror Flying at the fastest speed, there was barely enough time to process the thought and therefore no time to form a strategy. I had to rely solely on my wits and reflexes to make things worse. There was no way to predict what kind of attacks red might use. so I constantly had to be on offense and defense.
I felt like every hit Godzilla took hurt me. I tried as hard as I could to avoid the damage, but each attack I dodged left me vulnerable to another, and the pain only got worse after he jumped. above me, red eyes began to glow. I moved as far back as I could and ducked, but I couldn't dodge it when he hit me. I really yelled. I yelled so loud that someone else in the apartment should have heard me, but they didn't. Not just looking at the picture hurts making me remember the incinerated burn I paused the game because it hurt so much but Red paused the game to attack me again which made me furious.
I immediately counterattacked with a heat ray over and over again until the power meter was fully decreased. I wanted the red to hurt like I did just before time ran out. Red morphed into his swimming form. I didn't think that time would continue to affect a battle like this. he gave me a few minutes to collect my thoughts and decide what to do next. I chose to fight the next ways with the monsters I had found them with sewing gear like 'the next thing, probably wasn't such a smart idea, but it's what I did. I jumped and he smiled red in the face and moved off screen when I couldn't reach him then a wave a big mind started falling from above I felt this was unfair so I yelled if you're going to cheat then why are you letting me use the controller and then came running at me from the top-bottom left of the screen, dammit now I wouldn't even be able to see where his next attack was coming from.
Red continued to hit from random angles. He constantly moved me to detour around him. Another 40 seconds passed and Angrius was almost gone, but together we forced the thread into his flying form, so it was Mothra's next turn. Deciding to fight the red with Mothra was a terrible idea. the red bars did something I didn't see coming he reached out and grabbed Mothra and ate her after Mothra was devoured. I felt agonizing pain as if I was being crushed to death. Mothra had been killed for my stupidity and I would share the pain. It was a short transition from battle to board, but it was felt. as in power, the pain combined with being able to move was driving me crazy.
I wanted so badly for this to end. I never wanted anything that much, but I still had hope that there would only be one monster left that could fully recover by attacking red. in battle, Solomon, if any of them had a chance to save my life now, it would be him. Solomon apparently had some history with Red, as when the fight started, this dialogue happened, Red caught me off guard again by immediately burning me with her demonic fire for a second. time as much as it hurt it actually worked in my favor as Solomon started out with a full life he still had some despair but now Red had used up all his energy and he couldn't use his ultimate anymore now he would die like him . he neared the end of his life the red rod turned his entire body to face the screen and flew up then crashed down in an attempt to crush solomon when that didn't work it tried to devour solomon as it had done with Mothra, but he didn't. be eating my monster this time i hit red with one last blast of solomon's heat ray then he collapsed to the ground burning and withering from the heat ray i thought i won but something was wrong red wasn't sinking to the bottom and I still couldn't move red he was still alive after his apparent defeat to solomon red he had rebuilt his body into his gigantic final form transporting us to a blazing inferno in the process it was reminiscent of our first meeting except now the scenery is much the same true The power of red had become very real.
The music had cut off on a loud rumbling sound of a furious wrongful death pitted against Red's incredible amount of health. My own kill was Solomon, he was my strongest monster, but even he didn't hold his ground. Once it was like trying to fight a mountain in a matter of seconds, Solomon was overpowered and fell to the ground as Red smashed him to death. The sadistic demon took his time while breaking Solomon's vertebra and lives as little conductive twigs. I could tell he was enjoying this. it's useless i'm a dead man i had no choice but to send another monster to its death we were all going to die i just hoped they'd forgive me after declining reds health by a minuscule amount and garris was also read or stung a hail of fiery hot food on her face until she collapsed another moment of unspeakable agony then nothing like my palate i asked red how she knew my name and then for years she was being tortured for something no one understood and now i knew what it was now i understood why i was mocked Melissa's death and how the game knew about it because he knew about it because he was responsible and this time he was going to kill me.
They took me back to the board to send Godzilla to h. This final position was barely anything left of the board, just Godzilla and the Red icon and the fifth monster in the middle of everything that was going on. I had completely forgotten. I tried one more time to select it. I cursed. I begged. I yelled at him to do. something, anything to help me to no avail, there was only one thing to do, just like the previous monsters, they made us lose our chance after releasing a wave of burning flames from their hands. Godzilla's health was depleted and he too, like Mothra, was eaten by Ready I.
I knew Godzilla had no more chance in the reston, but maybe maybe now that all the other monsters were gone, the fifth monster could finally awaken. . I managed to select the creatures icon and hit the a button as fast as I could. The icon began to shake as if it was desperately trying to move. That's when Red decided that he was done playing fair and before she could activate the monster, it was for the deathblow that paralyzed my heart. My hands began to turn. I was numb and numb, but even as my vision was fading, I still tried to press the red button, surely I was breaking one of the rules, but he must have thought that if he could kill me quickly, it would be too late for me.
Let the consequences matter. he would have won he was wrong The power of the Reds was being challenged by an external force that prevented them from killing him and when I regained my vision I saw a familiar sight who are you what how is that possible I well told myself he killed you it's his turn to me if he can't stop her but how can i stop him now that we can't paint man but there's a weekend i'll free him from his hold don't give up i love you his words stirred something inside i wasn't going to die like this and i had more to fight for besides my own life i had to fight to save Melissa and the world she inhabits with her help the fifth monster was finally unleashed it was time to end this once and for all all we would do is knock this damned hellspawn out of existence acacias was by far the strongest playable monster in the game.
It had to be if we had a chance to survive. His strike involved turning his hands into blades that dealt tremendous damage. He also had the ability to shoot lasers from his face, as well as starlight projectiles. from the hands of him and even the ability to fly like Solomon, instead, he could levitate in the air. Redd had more than enough health to spare at the end, this would come down to sheer ability and eventually, with one final hit, the read was destroyed. We had taught Melissa. benefit of death and felt overwhelming happiness until I remembered all the death and pain that led to this point for all the other monsters who had fought and died.
I was about to mourn them, but the game was not over yet. Tears of joy ran down my face. and i burst into tears i cried harder than i had in years maybe all my life everything that had happened everything i had found out and now the game was coming to an end but before she and the others left mel issa had something What to tell me, you, I'm Zachary, and as I write this, three weeks have passed since the fateful night I played theI've been playing NES Godzilla since that night, immediately after I turned off the NES once I was able to start walking again.
The first thing I did was unplug the NES, take the cartridge out, and put it in separate sock drawers. I looked at the computer. All the screenshots you have seen in history have been saved. I backed up all the images. on a flash drive before turning off the computer just in case after that i hit the bed and passed out instantly it was not a restful sleep but one of complete exhaustion i felt like no time had passed before i woke up again and what That night that was the first thought that came to mind that came to mind was what the hell happened last night I thought about it for a moment until it occurred to me to contact the person I caught the game from to start with Billy so I called him and he I said he just come or See my apartment which he did and I showed him the screenshots and gave him a very basic rundown of what had happened.
At first, he thought that he was playing a joke on her, but he soon realized that he was not. was real, he was speechless, made it clear that he hadn't tampered with the game at all and had no idea about any of this, so he asked himself the obvious question: Billy, where did you get it? I got the simple answer from another friend of mine who I trade games with he assured me he was a trustworthy person and had never had a problem with the games I had provided him before so Billy called him but when we told him the story to this guy, he was as shocked and surprised as anyone, except he abruptly hung up on us, this was clearly going nowhere before Billy left for the day.
He asked me if he wanted me to take the cartridge and throw it away. I flatly refused. he who needed you asked me to think about it and Billy and I have not talked much since, although I told him that it is not like that, I have the impression that Billy thinks that what happened to the game is his fault after she left that day i thought a lot it was very hard for me to do anything else i really couldnt stop thinking about the game there were so many unanswered questions what was read was melissa really in the game how did she get in there why did all this happen with this game ?
But the one question that kept me awake for many nights was Red. He said he had known me for a long time. I ask myself questions about death and reality in ways I never wanted to think about. I'm not quite sure about anything anymore. Constantly thinking about it soon began to have a negative impact on my life. I just didn't care about anything else right now. by comparison, all other day-to-day activities seemed completely pointless, I finally decided that I had to choose between one of two things: try playing the game again or destroy it. I tried several times to convince myself to try the former, but never got further than plugging the NES back in, just touching the cartridge ago I remember all the pain I felt during the fight with Red.
I wondered if playing the game again myself might cause for something terrible to happen. I didn't know anything about how this game worked and it was too risky. He wasn't sure he could bear it. Another round of the game anyway, so it was time for the other option. He wanted to get some fresh air. I took the game and drove to the lake with the intention of throwing it away. I got to the lake with the cartridge in my hands and I looked at it and then I thought of Melissa, what if what she had experienced in the game was really genuine?
Doing what I did might have been the only way to save her from endless torture in a way that this twisted game might have saved her soul. Damn once I thought she came into my head. I knew I wouldn't be able to destroy it, so I sat on the beach looking at the lake for about an hour before deciding on a third option: selling the game on eBay. It may be selfish, but I promise you it has nothing to do with money. I don't care how much they pay me for this game, believe me, it's selfish because I don't want the responsibility of owning this cartridge anymore.
I can't think about this forever. the only way i can deal with this is by removing the game from my life so this brings me to the main reason i created a summary of these events, first to record the details for as long as i can remember them and second is that whoever bids on this game knows what they are getting into. I can't guarantee the safety of anyone else playing the game or anything happening but to the new owner of this game remember this be careful and if you feel like the game is literally messing with your mind turn the damn thing off
