MY DREAM CRAFT ROOM at IKEANov 13, 2021
so i want to redo my
roomand i really want to optimize all the space i have in here so i recently took a trip to
ikeaand what better place to find everything i need there are desks there are little organizing products there are so many different things that i think they will work in any
craftspace and on any budget if i find something at
ikeathat i already use in my craft
roomi will show you how i use it so you can get an idea if it will work for you and me we meet too with my
dreamcraft room setup and i know you are going to love it too so make sure you stick around to check it out and i have a lot to share so let's get started.
I am going to start. Please share these mason jars I thought would look great in a craft room if you have a lot of colorful items you want to organize so they can be used for organization as well as decoration. I loved these black and gold containers. These are metal and these I couldn't open with one hand either but you can see how they look they come in different sizes and you can see down here also these smaller glass jars are very popular for a crafter's craft room and these are found in the bathroom section at ikea i thought these would look great for organizing different things whatever your needs i have a lot of these bins in white i love these because you can stack them on top of each other i have a few in my closet as well as my chalice unit they work wonderfully loved these little metal jars are clear on top.
I did not show the top. I apologize that this tin was a bit flimsy. I really don't recommend it, but I just wanted to show you some options. Here are all the different types of containers. for your goblet unit they have so many different options and I have a couple of those for larger items like my molds and such. I love this set of cables that you can get because you know different things that you want to organize, whether it's stamps. or rs paper or you know different things like that they have so many new things since last time i went probably a year and a half ago probably a little more i love these bins in here they are a little pricey but i love the metal handle on them and here is a few more baskets a little sparse on this side but i wanted to show you the different options here too i love these bins those are the ones i have i have some of those and here's another little option these are great for storing smaller items.
I love the print on these and the colors are amazing, although I like to keep my craft room pretty drab. for storing projects here are some more tins not tins like little canisters you can put on your desk this can be hung on the wall for different projects papers magazines love these wire baskets again this is in a different section. I think this is in the kitchen section but I love these you can use them for so many different things here's a pretty traditional looking desk organizer for pens and brushes and such it's cardboard so I don't think it's very, wouldn't last long but just to give you guys a choice i loved these little containers although they are a little flimsy so i wouldn't recommend putting anything heavy in them but i thought these would be the smallest. great for when you're working on a project and need to put your ephemera or sequins or any small little items in so you don't lose them.
Here are some more organization products. Tried to get around all the names but again there were quite a few people at ikea at the moment so it was a bit difficult here are a few more I think this is in the kitchen section if I'm not mistaken but again these smaller bins would be great i love these hooks i hang my living room fly backpacks on some little ler hooks you can use them for all sorts of different things aprons anything you need to hang in your craft room and there are so many different options here are a few more trays you can stick inside your drawers alex not really I don't like these very much because there is so much space behind in the Alex drawers that it gets wasted and I like the wasted space but it's an option if you really need to organize your Alex drawers.
I have a few of these smaller trays in my Alex drawers. they work great for housing like my sequin bags and stuff and these are the shelves that i put my sprays on i have the smaller ones i have two of the smaller ones next to each other and i have three rows of them and here are some rods i really like the look of these i am planning on changing my craft room completely one day and i want to have some sort of rod system so i can put my paint brushes and colored pencils and things like that i like the look of it if you need difference erent colors or different sizes ikea has so many different options that i am so impressed with how many different options they have for the same product be it colors or the colors also change with the season so if they don't have a color that you like at the moment please wait six months or so and they will probably have a completely different color palette.
Here are some options for hanging some things on your wall. I love these for sprays or inks. Art magazines. I really don't recommend the flimsier cards, especially since a lot of the crafty stuff we have is a bit heavy. I love this utility cart. I don't know if it has wheels. Oh, it has wheels, but I was thinking I could put my cousin flowers on things like that and here's the famous pegboard. I love the look of wood when redoing my craft room. I will definitely buy a pegboard for my room. They have lots of little trays and things. that you could sti Check there are many different options for whatever you need to store and while they are super functional because you can mix, match and switch as your crafting style changes but I think they can even be used for more than one piece of decor . in your craft room if you make videos you can have them in the background that's maybe what I'm planning to do there are so many different options and I love that they have the plants for them and you know as you can see you can glue pens and vinyl markers and all kinds of different things here.
I loved this piece. If you have a smaller area, you need to store a lot of different things because you can hide the unsightly things like stacks of paper and such. can keep things that are a little nicer on top here's a desk alex i don't remember seeing this in the past i could be wrong i probably missed it but it has two drawers it's a good size and here are the drawers alex this is the one taller than I plan on getting a pair of these and just wanted to see what colors they had. I really like this dark gray and of course they have the white and here are the trays that can go inside. got a few of these also the shorter ones and then here's a blank and here's a utility cart. there then I really wouldn't recommend it but of course they have different things like cubbies that you can stick on top of and here's another metal drawer that I thought would be really fun under your desk but it was hard to open and close the drawers but it's just an option I guess and here's a smaller desk I thought would be really fun if you have a small space and here's another one this one is actually used for a dresser but if you have a small space this is really great because you could fit your supplies inside and of course you have lots of different bookcases and things with drawers so many different options when I saw this I fell in love right away even though it's for a closet depending on what you need to store I'm sure that you can customize it for whatever. your needs are and i love the color how tall it is the different options for the drawers and different things like that here is an option if you need to store things like you are working in your dining room or something like that and you need to store aside thats a great option.
I love this metal bookcase again. The metal ones aren't the strongest, but it's an option, although they do have books in there. I would not recommend filling it with patterned paper or something like that. that i love these hemneys i think it's called line at ikea this is maybe for if you have a tv in your craft room or something but i also love this bookcase we are planning on getting some of these for the office area from my husband in our master bedroom and again more bookshelves i love this one because it has the height it's tall and then at the bottom it's more like a rabbit hutch i guess and this one too with the glass is so beautiful but quite expensive but depending on your needs and I love this too.
I'm planning on getting a couple of these to store more of my lounge fly backpacks, not very crafty, but I have a few of my lounge fly backpacks in my craft room, I just give them a few options and they have individual shelves. also here are the chalice units uh so many different styles and they have so many different things you could fit inside of them now whether it be drawers or cubbies or bins sorry and they have different colors I love the gray with the grain of the wood i think is really eye catching and there's one abby who just couldn't help but get into the shot i love the different colors of the bins and here are the different size options i have the white though i wish i got the rgest one and i love it this this would be great for a smaller area and you can put all kinds of different things in there so many different options and that's a hundred bucks and you can get different trays and containers and things and I have in my chalice unit I have some drawers that are very useful though they are not very deep i keep my washi tape and stuff on them here is another shelf they have so many different styles and colors and options for shelves i like it This is because the drawers are more in the center, so if you can't bend down much, it would be great to store maybe some dies or things like that.
I did my best to show them the names of units or things. which i'm showing you like here and then the price also i'm not very particular about this green color but i like the shelf itself i like the white i think it would look great in a craft room to store stamps and papers and things like that and t Then of course you have the billy bookcase which is a budget option. I love it, maybe to hold those smaller jars with some buttons and colorful things that you might want to have a little more decoration in your craft room and cabin too. it's very nice here's another bookcase i love this one i love the slots in the back and this one is a bit pricey but depending on your budget and what you need there is something for everyone at ikea i can honestly say if you can drive to a ikea if you know within an hour or even two i think it's worth it if you have to ship things it gets too expensive i live an hour from me and i know a lot of my viewers love ikea that's why i'm doing this video here's more shelving tons of shelving so many options with doors and glass doors and stuff like that here's that hemline hemis line hemneys i love this one i'm not really into dark brown but the shelf or i think this would be more of a rabbit hutch uh that's really nice here's another option if you need to put things away if you're working again in your living room or your dining room or your master bedroom and you have to put things away that's a really good option another a shelf style i think they come in that green gray white and dark brown a lot of them so depending on your color scheme there are options this is beautiful i can see if you are super organized having all your stuff nicely organized for display and here are a few shelves you can hang on your wall this is a corner unit and i love this i got to see dies and stamps and all sorts of different things uh organized in that unit here it is uh that shelf here's a look at the name of that billy oxberg it's 607 dollars total but it does have a few cabinets in there besides the shelves and it would fit nicely in a corner here's another option and I really like the glass look though I'm not that organized to display everything so a lot of the stuff is in my closet this is what i call a craftsman's
dreami fell in love with this setup if i could take all of this for sure if i had the money i would take all of that and put it in my living room crafts and everything was already neat and organized when i walked in there and i didnt have to do any of that i would definitely get all these and use it in my craft room as it looks its amazing i love the shelves i love the drawers they come they are from the kitchen section I think some of the items are here but I love the shelves and everything how they're organized the paper trays although I don't use an eight and a half by 11 lot but I love the look of it with all the little little bins and the wicker baskets and everything that is just looks so amazing i would love it if i could take it and you know move it to my living roomcrafts would be great and here's a look at the desk.
I love this desk although I wouldn't pay that price because my desk gets stained and painted and all kinds of different things on it this is the hemni's line it has a couple of drawers again it's pretty expensive I wouldn't pay that much for a desk I would finish messing up and the other side has a cubby or closet with some shelves and that's my dream craft room right there I love it with that big workspace these are nightstands but I thought these would be great especially the taller ones would be good for maybe as your die cutting like your sizzix machine the smaller ones and then you can keep all your dies in all the drawers and stuff or if you have a qriket machine this would be nice and then you could put all your supplies Cricut in drawers and stuff like that. for organizing i thought this high top table with this high chair was a great option if you have a smaller space it's a little pricey but it's an option and then one of my favorite pieces is this table that folds out and has some little drawers in the center so you can pull it out when you need it and put it away when you're done and it's nice and compact somewhere else and then I've got, uh, taking a look at the chalice drive with the with the limited desktop I think attached to it I installed it ago a few years uh i really didn't like it because it was hard to get under the desk area to get to the cubbies here's the algot system they don't carry the allgot system although that's what i have in my closet they do have a system different it looks pretty much the same kind of setup you can customize it however you need i love going to ikea and seeing all the things i can use in my craft room but sometimes it can be a bit overwhelming especially especially e if you don't know where to start, so I've put together a short playlist here where I share my favorite organizing products and tons of ideas on how to organize everything. of your craft supplies in your craft room you won't want to miss any of that
