Marvelís Most Powerful Gods RankedNov 14, 2021
What does it take to be a god in the Marvel Universe? Unmatched strength People who adore you A life spanning centuries Well, whatever it is, the Marvel Universe is absolutely packed with
godsand deities that it's a bit overwhelming, basically how the Marvel Universe works. Under the guidelines that all mythological
godsare actually real and while that makes for some fascinating stories, it also brings into question which wonderful god is the strongest, well that's what we're here today to find out. Join me as I discuss some of the
powerfulgods in the
marveluniverse as I break down their powers, their significant moments, and how they might fit into the mcu if they're not already there let's get started right now I'm a god you boring creature well you could argue that loki is at the bottom of this list because he tends to lose a lot as is his nature or you could say that loki himself got impatient with this video talking about all the other gods and then he cursed me so I would talk about him first, i think both are equally plausible i want to start with the mcu loki when i talk about this character when i think about it his character arc is one of the best in the entire franchise i mean who would have guessed? the bad guy from the fourth mcu movie would go on a journey that includes being the main bad guy who assembles the avengers and slowly turning into a good guy in his subsequent appearances in the thor movie only for his demise to be the saddest in infinity war but then being so popular that the character was brought back for his own disney plus show which was arguably the
mostimportant show in understanding the new antics of the multiverse that the mcu is heading towards thats just amazing and i would say the reason why we have seen all this and what makes loki's character so
powerfulis the same: his charm, yes, loki is a trickster god who loves to betray people for his own personal gain and, although in the end, it never works. to him loki is so charming that there's a small part of us that believes him even when he's clearly lying that's a real super power right there but while loki from the comics has displayed some amazing powers over the years the mcu loki's skill set is mostly relegated to small. illusions and fancy knife stunts like the most powerful we've ever seen the mcu's loki alone without an infinity stone at his side is at his loki show when he saved a gigantic building from collapsing on him and sylvie and though it was an impressive feat of strength felt so out of place that some fans took it as a sign that the whole sorry sequence was actually an illusion from loki when your abilities are questioned because they seem too powerful so sorry loki you're not going to be the strongest god on this list yes there is a Hercules in the
marveluniverse and yes as you can imagine he is quite strong his strength makes him one of the strongest fighters of all time and he has even been an avenger at one point, there's a lot to be said for this god's amazing abilities, but basically it all boils down to one fact: he's Hercules, he's a strong guy. mortal human in jelly with a single sneeze now i would love a situation where hercules meets thor can you imagine the bravado and competition that would arise from these two interacting with each other?
They would engage in all kinds of contests of strength to prove who he is. he's the strongest and i would imagine the collateral damage here would be immense hey if they're casting hercules for the mcu just get the rock to do it he already played hercules in a much maligned movie and with the mcu it's all about establishing a multiverse. could it happen come on the rock versus chris hemsworth in a future mcu movie please do so bast she is the panther goddess wakandans worship in the mcu she said that long ago when the five tribes were fighting ting for control of wakanda a warrior shaman received a vision of bast and that led him directly to the heart shaped herb which of course allowed him to become the first black panther and end the fighting between all the tribes.
Bast's influence continues to this day in Wakanda. and she definitely looks like a goddess you don't want to mess with, I mean if I came face to face with a gigantic god-like panther I'd be rightfully terrified, there's still so much history that the mcu hasn't explored yet. bast but in the comics bast was originally the daughter of the egyptian god ra before moving to wakanda, she is a goddess who gives powers directly to the king or queen of wakanda, making her influence on earth one of the most important of all the gods. in the marvel universe remember when odin in a rage literally snarled at loki and loki looked like he needed a change of underwear yes that's how scary odin could be but then remember how odin became this kind old pea brave man who imparts sage advice before he gently fades away yes odin could do it the more we learned about odin in the mcu the more we realized he wasn't just an almighty king with a good heart but he was a character who spent a lot of time part of his early life taking part in bloody, ruthless, ruthless battles and he wanted to spend his later years making up for all the bad he did in the past and yes thanks to thor ragnarok we now know that there certainly was a lot of wrong for sure he spent a lot of time in that first movie sleeping and recovering and then he was captured and indisposed by loki at some point in the second movie which definitely hurts him in the power rankings , but still odin was a powerful god who could defend himself and again no one could growl like him phobos is an interesting god he is the son of ares and although ares tried to raise him to have a mortal life things did not work out that way and he finally ended up joining nick fury's secret warriors even though he has the body of a child he should not be underestimated he has the incredible power to cause fear in others just by looking into their eyes as well as all the standard olympian powers and even maybe throwing in some pre-cog future by also saying he's a valuable asset and it's no wonder why someone like nick fury would want to recruit him to a team never underestimate him or else it might be the last thing you do i'll keep talking about asgardians for a second to talk about another thor brother we haven't seen is balder thor's half brother i don't know if the mcu is capable of doing a story where thor deals with another brother after lok i and hella but it's a shame because balder is an interesting hero in his own right he's not as powerful as thor but he still works hard to defend asgard and serve odin and during the truly bizarre comic storyline when asgard was transported to earth balder was the one in charge of ruling this version of asgard and helping his people get used to the new planet sure asgard didn't do so well here but you can't blame balder for that if the mcu wants to introduce a new asgardian hero who wants to follow in thor's footsteps but maybe not cost as much as chris hemsworth then they could do a lot worse than balder.
Never forget that the gods can be spiteful. That's basically why we have Moon Knight. Let me explain that there is a deity known as Khon Shu, who is primarily known for being the God of Marking. Specter's moon knight will do, but Konshu's story goes much deeper than the comics back in the days of the Stone Age Avengers, which included Agamotto Black Panther Ghost Rider and Odin, among others, Khan Shu wanted to join, but was offended when these heroes didn't. I didn't offer him membership, so he chose a mortal avatar, the first moon knight, to enforce his will on earth and basically antagonize the avengers, which led to a long history of moon knights, being Mark Spector the most famous now.
Over the years there have been questions as to whether Mark is actually getting guidance from Konshu or if he is just crazy and imagining it, but it seems now to be a mix of yes he listens to Konshu but yes he is also crazy as well which is a fun compromise that we will learn. a ton about konshu soon, however, with the Moon Knight series set to release in 2022, Ares is the god of war and in the marvel universe he was worshiped by both the greeks and romans. the land that was worshiped throughout norse mythology the olympians we all know exist in the wonder universe and come from the pocket dimension of olympus so yeah ares has all the bells and whistles you would expect such as super strength , durability, basic immortality and then since he is the god of war he has the added benefit of being able to influence war and combat in all shapes and forms this would be an interesting type of god to introduce into the mcu but I would say that it is a basic impossible ally since wonder woman already fought against ares in her first movie and that would be simply oversaturation, don't you think that boring is the father of odin and the grandfather of thor and he is one of the most powerful asgardians in history he was one of the gods he created the universe with using the galactus seed which is a cosmic heart that would give birth to the next universe basically forever ago boer and his sons found the seed a and she was planted, which gave birth to the current universe that Marvel heroes live in, she is incredibly strong and basically matches. thor punch for punch even though thor is said to be the strongest physical asgardian he is also in the comics shooting hella where he easily caught mjolnir and tossed it aside like it was nothing if they were looking for another asgardian villain to present in a future thor the movie and then the board could make a great choice imagine a situation where thor travels back in time to the beginning of asgard or boer is resurrected in the present age giving this new version of thor a fighting chance against the strongest asgardian of all time hella may not be the physically strongest asgardian god but i would say she is definitely the most powerful she is the asgardian goddess of death which means she has the power of life and death . about the gods of asgard, she helps guide the spirits of the asgardians to valhalla after they perish and in the comics she also has amazing powers like being able to take out someone with just a touch or hit them with lightning which makes them age quickly. even though the mcu made hella an amazing fighter and warrior she didn't necessarily need to be given her immense power over the living speaking of the mcu i think not using hella as the incarnation of death that thanos is in love was a big mistake.
Sure it would have been messy, but there's comedic precedent in a story after literal death prevents Thanos Hella from showing up to basically say, "Hello, I'm the Asgardian goddess of death and stuff." it's the same followed by the two starting a relationship imagine that version of the mcu so in the marvel universe there are gods and then there are elder gods that just from the name you can tell they are more powerful in general gaia is one of the first elder gods created on earth before any other life inhabited the planet she is basically responsible for all life on earth too let me explain so most of the other elder gods were actually corrupted and turned into demons and then gaia helped to creating aetum who devoured the other elder gods after that helped with things like making the dinosaurs extinct so humanity itself could continue to grow without all the competition from the dinosaurs so yeah she's pretty powerful and fun .
She is also the mother of Thor in the comics, well if there is an aries in hercules and there has to be a zeus a certain zeus is the supreme monarch of the olympians and is basically in charge of all of them he is super powerful and has beaten other Characters wonderful as Hulk and even Galactus in combat so okay here's why I think Zeus should be the next absolute big evil for Thor to go up against. Zeus is very similar to Thor in key ways. Zeus dominates electrical explosions and is the leader of his people imagine seeing a thor who has just stopped being the king of asgard to rediscover his passion in life zeus would be like his dark mirror counterpart and with zeus being a bit corrupt or cold could reinforce thor's decision to step away from his real life and work to be a hero on his own would make a great story so come on taika hold on make it happen. himself into a god becoming the kind of menacing and hilarious god emperor fate sounding the villain created his own battle world to everyone's dismay during this time the god emperor fate was so powerful that he stopped the The cyclops driven by phoenix made quick work of Thanos and even beat an infinity gauntlet using a black panther.
Any chance we'll see this character show up in the MCU at any time. I hope so, I'm putting Thor near the top of this list. yes i get there are other gods under him who have more power than the god of thunder but in the end thor has always been victorious in the mcu it could be argued that loki is more cunningthat thor, that hella is more ruthless and stronger than thor and odin is an overall better leader than thor but guess which thor still wins thor was a big factor in bringing loki to the good guys side and giving the trickster god a little more humanity though thor held his own in his fight against hella he couldn't beat her with brute force alone and so he used his head to realize they needed to destroy asgard to defeat the evil goddess then odin he always seemed like a true leader, but everything we continued to learn about him proved maybe he wasn't that great while Thor only got more real as time went on, sure, right around the time he became the leader all his movies were building to. towards thanos he came and destroyed everything and ended up sending thor into a depressive spiral but that led to thor finally getting a second wind and now he is in a position to discover a new passion in life in general which is ba Constantly impressive through the strength of his heart his new Lease life and even his sense of humor.
I think Thor is one of the most powerful gods in the entire Marvel universe. Yeah, this definitely has more mcu than the comics, but I think he's still a worthy placement for the god of thunder. It's okay, clearly the most. the mighty god in the marvel universe is the one who created all the other gods his name is the one above all and come on he is right there in the name of the people he is the one above all In the comics, it's strongly hinted that the one above them all is Jack Kirby, the legendary comic book creator responsible for the creation of all your favorite Marvel characters, and it makes a certain sense that the most powerful being in the Marvel Universe is comic. boo k writer right it means he can literally do anything the one above it all doesn't show up too often in comics but i would say the most famous example is when the fantastic four seek to retrieve the soul of the thing and they end in a living room. where the kirby-esque jack over all is drawing sketches on a storyboard yes that opens up the age old superhero debate of free will versus a predetermined destiny but that's a topic for a different time but if you're ever afraid of the supreme being, do not worry, the one who is above all is the ultimate source of love and good in the universe and, since they are the most powerful possibilities, it is that love and good will always triumph over evil and darkness at the end, now the question is will this character ever appear in the mcu?
It would be difficult, but with the continued introduction of more powerful beings every few years, I wouldn't say that he is out of the realm of possibility. I said in another video that maybe in a Deadpool movie, Deadpool could break out of the movie of him and meet Kevin Feige, who would technically be the best for the MCU. Would it be difficult and maybe a bit troublesome? Sure, but it's something I think a lot of Deadpool fans would like and this isn't even counting the possibles. be they gods or sword of gods like they would count the afterlife as a god or the celestials dormammu is the lord of the dark dimensions so that basically makes him a god there right? deities walking around, don't you think that things can't be simple in the wonderful universe?
