This is a new recipe I basically just developed for our sister site and it has 10 ingredients just like all of our basic recipes and honestly, it's disgustingly simple given how delicious it is. The first step is to mix the dry ingredients together, so I have 2 cups of everything. -flour purpose an amount of baking powder and baking soda that I don't remember do you want to know a teaspoon and a half of kosher salt and then four teaspoons of granulated sugar and I'm whisking it in a large bowl just to combine it all? super quick and then I'll grate the zest of about half a lemon.

You don't have to be very precise. You don't need to measure the lemon zest. A stick of cold butter.
