and I want to improve my living space a little by adding more

so I don't put things everywhere after doing a little research I realize. I can take advantage of the space under the bed, so I decided to make my own

. This is what happens. I don't have the tools or space to do the carpentry work at

, so I can't just buy plywood and build from scratch. It means I need something modular that is easy to access and customizable based on two retail stores immediately popping into my head, which are IKEA and Home Depot.

Ok, let's jump to the design, first of all, I need a queen size bed, the one I choose is

I choose this size because I don't want it to be too high, which is difficult to put on the bed, or too low so that there is not enough storage space, so depending on my use, I choose 15 and 18 inches. one closes the wall at 30 inches, one in the middle and one at 18 inches at the end, so the two cabinets close the wall and has a single door, the larger cabinet in the middle has a double door and the one on the corner has

in the other. side of the bed, I'm going to use the same setup, so let's put all those cabinets under the bed.

You can see there is a big gap in the middle, like a big tunnel, so I'll add another 30 inch double door cabinet on the outside to convert it. the entrance of this tunnel going back to the topic of choosing the depth of the cabinets the reason I choose 14 3x4 inches is because it leaves a good amount of space in the middle. I can take advantage of the fact that the adult male can easily go in and put something like the nearest out-of-season suitcase or anything that you don't normally use, on the other hand, if I choose deeper cabinets, the space in the middle is too narrow to put things in it Lastly, our base to support all the cabinets we need to make sure we place the boards inside and outside as well as the horizontal direction, the material I choose is pre-painted modeling board from Home Depot with 4 inches wide and 8 feet long and by the way I will need 5 of them, the actual width of the board measures 3.5 inches, make sure you use this size to do your work as we cannot cut the wood at home.

We can use Home Depot's wood cutting service to get the specific size we want. Now we have all the pieces, let's assemble them here. is the final look of the base and let's take a closer look. The first thing we want is 8 pieces of 12 by almost 20 inches and put them aside as if they were legs. The second thing we want is 4 12 by 30 inch pieces. board and that goes to the top, lastly the rest of the board can just go on top. You can get this 4x8 plywood at Home Depot and again order stuff from oo carton service to help you get all the pieces you need so now We have everything let's put them together to see how they fit before we tighten them up everything comes together It looks good so far and since we have all the components ready, it's time to fix them and make sure they are sturdy and reliable.

The first step is to drill the hole between the cabinets and the base and then use the screws to connect, which ensures that your cabinet does not move. The next step attaches the adjacent cabinets using the existing pre-drilled hole in the cabinet if you see the gap between the two cabinets. You can try unscrewing and screwing again until the gap is no longer noticeable. Remember that we have some pieces of wood to form the additional support in the center section. We also need to fasten them with our cabinets. After that, we will need to place the top board on top. side bar using the glue and screw in the last step of the middle section, place the larger bracket on top and fix it.

Now we put the last cabinet in place. If you don't like the space in the center section, which is totally fine, you can just give it some shape. Most of the work is already done, but we are not done yet. We need to install the doors and drawers, as well as these Ikea push openers. With this push opener you don't need a knob or handle for a door. You can simply push to open and then push to close. Now let's start installing the door and we will continue to finish them all so the way we install the push opener for the double drawer cabinet will be different.

We need to mark the middle of the frame and install the push opener next to it after finishing the doors we will need to install the drawers for the corner cabinets and also for the push openers so once we finish both sides of the cabinets we can switch to walk over the middle one and I don't think I'll install the push opener here because I won't be opening this one that often so everything is put together let's do a quick test okay we're finally done and let's do a final walk through with the push opener push, what the storage looks like. very clean from the outside and I put a shell in the middle which creates a more reasonable space to use in the corner, there are two drawers where you can put things that I often use here and in the middle we have our secret storage, you can see the space.
