I still have a passion for the

mafia

and I believe that I am part of the good, the bed and certainly the ugly in my time, in the good times, there were bodies everywhere, when you make a mistake, I will be the last face you see. He's not the guy who pulls the trigger that you have to worry about, he's the guy who planned it for the biggest differences between you and he succeeded. I did so many things for this guy. I fix the trials. I threatened people. I bribed people and he turns against me. Doesn't history repeat itself?

What if Sammy takes me? What do you want me to do? I'm a gangster. How dare you make the decisions about who shoots? Look at the full image. You don't think these guys have balls. You already tell it. this kid to come back I killed Don Cake it's great it's about money what do you know about what happened to John F. Kennedy? This is going to sound crazy. I think you're following some of Epstein's stuff, there's not even a word for this piece of Teddy Atlas said you approached him about wanting to train with boxing Teddy Atlas is a take away guns from all good people I'll always have a gun If I die tomorrow this was my choice my life you still trust people it's in every book every move that shocked the whole world that I don't regret so last time Sammy the bull Gravano did an exclusive interview with Diane Sawyer on primetime television, April 16, 1997, Sammy is known as the hitman's hit man. was the

underboss

: the head of the Gambino family, John Gotti Sammy, thanks for trying to do this interview, it's my pleasure, so Sam has changed a lot since 1997, now we have social media, now we have smartphones, now we all have a camera, there is a lot to change.

In America we have Donald Trump as president, so America has changed, the world changed when Sammy the bull, Gravano changed to some extent. I mean, I didn't change much like people would think I'm going out to a legitimate business. getting into Hollywood certain things I'm doing in my life now I've changed my life I still have a passion for the

mafia

where it came from how it started it would exist it's part of my heritage it's not just the gang For me, I was in a gang when I was young, but this is not a gang, it was part of my heritage that began in Sicily in the 12th century and fled to the United States.

Now when I said he fled, he didn't come in because they like America they were fleeing from the indulgent fascism of Moses that made them come to the United States and they landed in the United States and everything they were taught in Italy they brought here so I have a different feeling about it. Some ugly things we did and I think I'm part of the good in bed and certainly part of the ugly, but I did this because I think it's going to win an Oscar. I changed my habits and moved on with my life. and I'm going in a different direction even sitting here talking to you that's something you're mostly not supposed to do you're not supposed to talk about it when you turn around or cooperate whatever you want to call it you're allowed to do whatever you want because you already broke the rule of gold by cooperating but if you didn't turn around then you can't do this because giving up our secret we are a secret society and a brother and if you give up Secrets are no different than taking the stand or doing anything you can't give up .

The girls' secrets and often even some of the things John Gotti did running around while the people of Boston applauded what he was doing, did more damage. Austria was there and put him on Front Street and then ten witnesses were gathered who cooperated you believe that oh absolutely why do you think most real gangsters believe that and they know I'm 22

years

old in prisons where Have I stayed many times? as kids and I got into people and I said listen, you were in a normal prison now you're in a witness unit tell me the truth what they were saying about me you were with this guy in this guy in this guy this guy Bobby he was young the boss in Boston and he told me Sammy you want the whole truth I'm crying and complaining more about John than about you the position he put you in he betrayed you when he betrayed you like that that was the same as a rat man who If the government is trying to lock us up, That's your job, your job as John Gotti is not to lock me up and if that's the role you're going to take so you can get out and I can carry the weight, that's a rat, what happened between John and me, like this that I did what I did and now I'm stepping into something completely different that was left behind.
I see what they do now. I think they're pretty smart now that they've gotten away from violence. They don't do that. As much as when I was in my time in the 70s and 80s, those bodies in all my different families, but today they don't, that works without violence and structure, although it is not part of the influence to impose. I fear it might be, but it doesn't have to be. Fear can be in many ways. Let's say you're a made guy. You are our friend. A friend of ours is a big guy. You are a friend. ours, so you're not going to follow the rules, but you shouldn't worry because I'm not going to kill you, but I might chase you, I might hang out with the five families, he's not a friend of ours anymore, don't treat him.
He throws you out now, that's a big blow, so you lose your power and no one will respect you, you know that, but he will get in the way, no one will recognize you, sometimes, in certain cases, it may even be better to be dead, it's a good punishment, but the effect of not killing when I was around, each family had a squad of FBI agents working on them, each family, the squad was made up of about 20 agents working on your family, from what I heard now , they got down to three, they used all those extra agents for terrorists and 13 drug gangs, things that justify it, but I'm not going to kill, they don't have depression and then the RICO law and the laws are crippling, so me, you and another guy, but we all trust each other, let's go to murder now the way the law is set they convict you for murder there's life in prison without parole each of us has a get out of jail free card of course we kill to Joe Blow I get arrested for drugs later and I'm facing 20 or 25

years

old I'm 50 years old I don't want to do it it's like Oh, prepare the government, you and the guy we killed him don't trust each other anymore because the sentences are very big in most cases, that guy flipped, some guys don't want to go to jail, some guys are screwed when they go to jail, you know, I've heard so many stories of black guys, Hispanic guys that stood up and were sentenced and we're spending that time with him people thought they took his money while he was gone and they fucked his wife they did this they made you begging this guy to cooperate he didn't cooperate and then you do these things to make him go crazy or do it You sold some capacity and it flips like I did when John John said to my face at the end of time said Sammy the horrible tapes make you sound like a monster what are we going to do?
So I'm checking on all the lawyers. You will take the weight, the lawyers will bring up in court that you are a monster, you killed all these people, you took over the union, you took over the business, which I never did during the trial, the lawyers will say that you listen John complaining on tape. Poor John Gotti lost control that's the monster Sammy the ball Tim is that John so I'll be free and you'll do the time I said are you sure that's what you want me to do? The feds are trying to lock me up.
They have called me all my life. I have stated that I never confronted my friend. My co-accused wanted to lock me up. That's what they're doing. John, what do you really want to do. to do it the streets need me the boss you are the sacrificial lamb I said okay you sure that's it I contacted the FBI I turned around and left that's what I did on my first bet in 5 years later I was away for a while five years and they imposed a 20 year sentence on me again and that sentence when I started with that sense I turned 17 several months in that sadness the first six and a half years that I went into the hole and I got sick at home, my teeth were removed, my nails pre-aged my skin, most of my hair was lost and there were reports that he is dying of cancer, he is dying of Hashimoto's disease here, all these different things were coming out, but I survived and I am I'm back and making my life again.
Look who I am. I'm saying what you're talking about. It's interesting, but going back, what I'd like to do is even before this. I'm curious to know about Sammy. growing up like you grew up in a family in Brooklyn your mom your dad two sisters I think you're the youngest of three who was Sammy growing up what your personality was like even at 10 years old 12 years old I'm not even talking 16 In high school with the incident between You and your director, you know, you punched them in the face. Who's your match at eight years old? Who suits you when you are ten years old?
I think he was like any other child. He was very slow at the conference. student with books, not visual or auditory things, but with books, things like that, the number three looked like an eight, so I was always wrong, so as soon as the teacher said what number that is, now it looks like an eight to me, I would say three, you're right, not because I was right, because I was wrong so many times, so an eight I knew was an eight, it was three invitations of course, then I went out with children and raised them, I mean, like any other child.
My father was a painter, then he got lead poisoning and couldn't paint, there was only lead in the paint. My mother was a seamstress, so she was so good at it that she worked in a factory in New York for a Jewish contractor that she used to use. her to make the dresses for the models who were going to show the thing and sell it, so the contractor told Katie my name was Kay and they called Katie, why don't you open a little factory? You're great at this. She talked to my father, he couldn't paint anymore, so they opened a small factory together.
They knew that all the Italians and the ladies from Italy were here, they didn't know how to sell and they all went in there and they sewed and they had a little clothing factory and then we went and helped from time to time and I was the youngest of three I was the youngest of five my brother died and one of my sisters died before I was born and what was left were two sisters one was nine years older than me one was five years older than me that feeling that you weren't eight three you know I see that this dyslexic created a gin matrix you're like I'm a little different why am I treated this way or not?
No, no, there was a lot of anger, there was a lot of anger since they left me in fourth grade. Okay, I don't even know how old you're supposed to be in fourth grade. but they left me in fourth grade, so now when I move on, they're younger than me and the teacher was saying a certain word, a big word, there's someone spelling it. I was at the back of the class all the time and another kid to spell another word, they would come up to me and say "okay, tumbano, spell cat", the whole class would laugh.
I was so ashamed with rage that I felt that after school I beat them because I was actually older and bigger than them and that I was a strong child, I beat him, although there were no more lessons, when I reached the seventh grade, they left me behind another time and at that moment I said that schools are not for me, just not for me, and I was not nice playing hooky all the time and One day like that something started inside the teacher. I got caught by some truancy officers going around courting kids who played well and I was a little drunk.
He took me to the director. He was sitting in the principal's office and he was talking to the principal. and he was saying this is what you are education isn't it there, he used the word it's a slow insult eraser against who you are and I didn't bother too much but when he was saying what kind of people these people are This is the result of this type of children, so at one point I stood up and said this has nothing to do with my mother and father, they are hard-working people, this has to do with me, he said something about my mother and father again .
I broke. in the shadows I broke his jaw and was expelled from school months later in front of the Board of Education. They transferred me to another school. McKinley Junior High School was in a different neighborhood. Mostly polarized Irish. The Irish did not understand Italian. I wasn't a bad looking kid I got along with girls but not with boys every day I was in a fight in trouble I finally got kicked out of that school - I found a teacher at that school who really tried to help me and I missed him indirectly. I respected this boy.
He knew he wasn't stupid. He just knew that he had a learning disability. In fact, he even told me that if you get frustrated, you want to leave the class, leave and I will. I came to respect this guy a lot and I really wanted him to look good, so I was trying to hold on, but I failed that school and they sent me to the 600 school and then their old misfits. He was in that school. I think it was the first week there was a guy sitting in front of me he was dressed and it looked like a robe and I said something funny the class was laughing and he slammed this book, his Bible, on my head, on my forehead, you shouldn't do this , you are acting.
You're the devil after the third or fourth time he hit me for it and we wereI did, you don't want to be a body, he said he's a tough guy, he served time, really, yeah, tell the kid to come back, make another date, you won't kill him, do you want me to kill Don King? no you're not the kid this guy you just tell this kid to go back and kill Don Cake yeah well hit him with a proposal if he says no pull out a gun and shoot okay that's what you want , yes, okay, if the child were.
In the boy, right, he is a tough guy, listen, you are the target, you are going to hit him with this proposal if he says no and tells you that I am a tough guy, take out the gun and shoot, shoot my night, go, do you want me to do it. Kill Don I said it's not me John wants you to kill what I wanted to tell you you have to kill him he left the boy left I had never seen him say hello again he must have left the country he left so never I went after Don King because I'm riding boy, I'm definitely not going after him because this is crazy right now that we're hitting the guy because you don't want to make a deal meeting guys every two weeks, so the hit was done. but the hit didn't happen, it wasn't great against a guy who ran away, the guy took Sammy.
I've heard a lot of stories about what happened with John F. Kennedy and the involvement of the mafia, you know and me. I've heard so many different stories, what do you know about what happened to John F. Kennedy? I really don't know, there are so many people who were possible candidates for that, but to make a long story short, the FBI, when I cooperated, came to me and one was at Quantico and they said some guys would come to you and ask you some very real questions. high level. Hurry up. A group of guys in suits came and said the same things.
What you know about Canada is that yes, from what I understand, you should know that. you guys participated in this hit, it wasn't some mafia guy, Cressy helped you people, wow, fix this and they stayed. John Kennedy was good, he was with the mafia, he did everything they asked of him and then some. His father was a smuggler there. with us all the Kennedys have dirty laundry Bobby Kennedy couldn't stand the fact that the mafia hope he wins the election he went to war with them upstairs he went to war with Jimmy Hoffa he went to war with FBI chief Hoover he went to war with everyone, he made so many enemies from a guy who loved John Kennedy and the father was respected, there was a smuggler and they were keeping his word, there are so many enemies, who knows, rumor has it that there is quite a brew mixed with all of them, but I'm not sure, I have no idea in a positive way, just what I heard from rumors and things like that last stinky or quick round.
I'll give you a name, tell me first. one word that comes to mind that comes to mind Philip Leonetti good guy combing scheme Gotti Jr didn't belong joe Colucci good guy made bad decisions Trump if a word isn't even fair because the only word I can really think of is the who has so many things on both sides but he is the president of the United States period I like him he doesn't like me it's not your decision Sonny Franzese good guy Gotti father a tremendous disappointment Albert Krieger a highly educated Frank Kelly points out well that he was a really good The guy, the Deputy Attorney General, Linda, fit right in as a reward for finding me guilty and went for this upward exit, they offered him a smorgasbord which was what he needed and he probably ate everything Richard Kuklinski is that ice man, yeah, there's not even a word for this part of I'd like to go to wherever he's buried, dig it up and shoot a skull, sad part of Wyatt Hoffa, he wanted Union to come back after he got out, he couldn't get it.
Bad decision on his part. Thoughts from the semi-final here. what you're working with now with the book and the podcast you said it's a podcast, this will come out hopefully soon, soon, maybe in a month, a couple of months, who knows, but it will be me talking to people or ex gangsters get old and me talking about my life from soup to nuts including this conversation now so it's not just you it's you talking to other people as guests also on the show very interesting final thoughts Sammy, You have not done it. This has been going on for quite some time since April 16, you know, over 20 years ago, the world is watching right now.
This will be used a lot. This will create many conversations. What are your final thoughts after every negative thing that was said about me? and all the lies. I'm surprised how many good people talk to me, deal with me, trust me from different businesses. I know they are a little scared when they start, but once they get to know me, they like my neighbors and the people. I'm doing business with everywhere. I have a tremendously warm and trusting relationship and I'm surprised that after everything I've been through there is a world full of really good people and I'm surprised that I'm enjoying that part of my life that I love. my ex wife until death she is my soulmate she is no longer my wife but she is my soulmate my daughter my son my grandchildren if they could find something really nice after all this that I did and continue to do every day and if I die tomorrow this I was satisfied for all the pain and suffering I went through and for everything I did and went through.
This made me feel whole again, it made me feel good about myself and everyone around me and I noticed people calling themselves victims and saying something like that. You called victims, you weren't a victim when your father or your brother or whoever was around and he was running with me and killing people who don't have a body but what bothers you is that I was part of killing them. I was part. of your life now there could be a situation and I told my daughter and my ex-wife and my son if I die tomorrow this was my choice my life don't be angry with anyone get angry with me I broke the rules no Be angry with the person who comes, yes does it ever come, period, I don't regret it, very few, very few, I mean, of course, as a human being, everyone who wants to play quarterback on Monday.
Are there things I would do differently? Without a doubt, I still respect life. I think there are still people out there now that are in Austral the mafia is doing the right thing they are carving and charring their appetite they are using their heads and they are acting like Cosa Nostra should have acted maybe in my era my era was different and the Mistakes before that were like the days of Jesse James, it was a different ball game, he was using your head and you are a tremendous example of quality, enough is enough, stay away from more than that Bush, very few misdemeanors. there are not 50 million agents on your back please stop killing and doing stupid things then you will wear these people around your neck you will be the target again and I can guarantee you I have been with them for a while and then I also met everyone, I do not like them.
I would have met a lot of agents who are really very good people, strong, solid, good people, retired guys, they still called me today, he is later, how are you doing? Sammy, house, this house, that house, dad. house, I mean, you don't have to do that, I know we were talking back and forth about trying to make this work, you know, thank you for making this work and being willing to do it, we pretty much went over all the questions we had, I mean, there. There was no qualms about the question so he was open to being asked any of the questions and if you're watching this and want to learn more about any of Sammy's upcoming podcasts or projects, we'll put the links below in the description Sammy Again, thank you for taking the time to come and be a return guest.

During the conduct of this interview there was a lot of back and forth, but eventually we were able to make this work, but I want to hear your thoughts. In fact, I want to hear if your opinion changed about them. For the better. For worse. You are in the? In the same place, some of the stories that stayed with you, what stories were made for SiC, where are you thinking about it right now, two hours after watching this interview, so comment your thoughts below or tweet me directly at Patrick mid David, that's my name on Twitter.
I will respond and see most of the comments on Twitter because they are directed at me and also if you enjoy these interviews, these mob interviews, we have a lot of them, a couple of them, I want you to see them. Being interested in one of them is with the real-life Donnie Brasco. Do you remember the movie Donnie Brasco. The real-life Donnie Brasco is Joe Pistone. We spent a few hours together. He doesn't do many live interviews and one of the parties. I asked him a question that I said, "You know," he was there every time you were about to become a made man in your FBI undercover for six years.
Did you ever get to the point where you didn't want to go back to your normal life and you had to look at the answer to see if you believe his answer or not and the other interview is with Frank Cullotta Frank Cullotta was pilâtre's hitman in Las Vegas. If you've seen a movie Casino, it's pretty much about his life and what he did, this is another interview to watch, he moved with Pilatre from Chicago to Las Vegas and they toured almost all of Las Vegas together, another to watch, so if you have any ideas comment below or tweet me directly and if you haven't subscribed. still on the channel please do it thanks for watching everyone take care bye
