right now starting out, I'm showing here that you're going to need five pots, you're only going to need four using the razor.

I'm going to cut the four pots in half, these people are some kind of sensation. like a thicker cardboard material, they are made from some type of recycled material and what they are used for is you put soil in them, you put your seeds in and this is where you start your seedlings and once they start to grow. You can plant them and since they are made from some kind of biodegradable recycled material, once you plant them the soil just absorbs them I guess, so they are a very useful thing if you want to start a garden.

I've used them for that, but I also use them for DIY like I do today. I'm also going to use four pieces of twelve by twelve scrapbook paper because I had a couple of these Buffalo squares left over from my last fall DIY that I just did. posted, I thought this was the perfect DIY to incorporate them into. You will be cutting strips about an inch and a half and you should get about six strips per sheet. I'm using the controls as a guide just to make it easier. but don't worry about being perfect in your cuts because it won't show, we are going to do this with the four sheets of paper for this DIY.
I chose two different styles of paper patterns because I felt like if I just used Buffalo gingham it was going to be too much, it was going to be too busy, too dark, so I wanted a lighter pattern that coordinated with the Buffalo gingham and that's why I chose this one. wood pattern scrapbooking paper when I cut these strips. going against the wood grain of the paper because I want the lines to stand out a little more on the DIY. If I really cut with the lines, it won't stand out and it will really

look

like I'm just using plain paper. white paper once you have cut all the strips you will cut the strips into 3 inch pieces and then use some Mod Podge, it doesn't really matter which one you use, the glossy or the matte one, it's really just your preference. always have mate on hand, so that's what I'm going to use today.
I'm going to start by putting just a little bit on the inside of the pot like this, once I have a little bit on the inside, I'm going to completely cover the outside of this pot with the Mod Podge and you really want to be generous with it, your pot may get moist and soft. a little bit, but that's okay because we're going to put this in the oven for a little bit and it will harden again. Once that's dry for the next step, we'll take our strips of scrapbooking paper that we'll cut into about three inch strips and place them in just enough water to wet them.
You don't want it to get wet enough. that the paper is really going to tear, so we will place it on top of our peat stains. This is a decoupage method. I feel like when you wet the paper, it really helps mold it to whatever you're adhering to. so that's why I wet it using my scissors. I'm going to cut notches in the end corners here. Doing this will give you a cleaner coverage, it makes it easier than if you cut slits here at the bottom. It's going to make it easier to cover the bottom and top when you're trying to fold something that's straight over something that doesn't cover very well, it's kind of dimpled, so by cutting these slits you can see that it folds nicely and will stick. then you can easily fold these strips down and you'll have a nice clean fold, a nice clean edge and that's just kind of a trick of the trade, see if that makes it a lot easier and if you have excess paper that's is folding.
In the end, don't worry because we will cut it out later, we will cover the entire pot with about three pieces. I think it was scrapbooking paper. Once you have the pots covered, if you put them in the oven at about 120 130 degrees they will be dry and hardened in about five to ten minutes my pots are all dry, they are good and hard again and would you

look

at how great it looks this again? We're not looking for perfection because the more imperfect they are, the more rustic they feel, the rustic feel of a farmhouse doesn't have that perfect look, it has that aged look, so it's okay if it doesn't look perfect.
I'm showing that I have ten pots here. You don't need ten, you'll need just eight, which equals the four original pots you cut in half because you already had this floral foam ring on hand. It shows that I have used it in a DIY before doing it. I'm going to use this. I'm going to cut eight to ten pieces of this floral foam ring and you can do this very easily by using a utility knife and cutting around the outside and then it's going to break apart and then you're going to use a little bit of hot water. glue I'm going to put a little bit of hot glue right on the edges and hot glue it to the bottom on the inside of these pots.
Here all the flowers that I will be using today for this DIY you can find at Dollar Tree now I bought these black floral roses, these are definitely the Halloween inspired roses. I'm also going to use some berries, these are a Christmas decor piece and I'm also going to use some of this white baby's breath. In fact, I needed two bouquets. of white baby's breath using a wire cutter. I'm going to cut the flowers from each of the bouquets just using the flowers and stems to about three inches because I'm not really sure how long I need them to be that long.
I'll worry about cutting them as I place them now, remember if you're doing this DIY outside of Halloween and they no longer have black flowers. Dollar Tree has white roses year-round that you can spray paint with very easily. a 97 second can of flat black spray paint from Walmart and you'll get the same effect when I was putting the flowers in the pots I decided to go the route of putting the roses in black and with the white pots because I knew the white pots were going to make them the flowers would stand out more and I also knew that the black flowers would highlight the black stripes in the white pots and that's what I was looking for when I chose the Buffalo gingham.
I really wanted the white baby's breath and the berries in those pots because I really wanted the berries to stand out and I knew that using berries and this DIY would give it the pop of color it needed using an 8 and a half by 11 piece of green felt. I'm going to take, I'm going to fold this felt in half. I do this because it makes it easier to cut straight rather than cutting the entire length of the felt and I will be cutting two inch strips. I think I have five or six. strips of this eight and a half by 11 piece of felt, once I've cut the strips, I'll cut them into squares no need for perfection, no need for measuring, this will just be next It was so much easier when I started gluing the squares of felt to the wire wreath ring I bought from the Dollar Tree.
For some reason I thought it was a good idea to use aleene glue. This is a bad idea, it doesn't stick. it didn't dry well, the felt didn't stick, it came off right away so I'm not sure why I think that was a good idea so I ended up using hot glue again and the hot glue worked fine, I'm still a little confused why I didn't use hot glue in the first place, it must have been like one of those moments, I'm not sure, but just start using hot glue and you'll be good to go, so my reasoning behind cutting the belt into squares is this, if you really took eight and a half by eleven piece of belt and you tried to cover this crown ring with it, it wouldn't work, there wouldn't be enough felt to cover it, you would.
You would need several pieces, two maybe three pieces if you were to trace this and try to cover from side to side all the way around, but if you take a piece of felt and cut it into squares like I did and adhere it. the ring as if it were here - the aleene glue using hot glue you will be able to cover your wires with a piece of felt the floral mosques that I will use today are from the Dollar Tree could you take a look at how?

beautiful

this color is so green it's so bright it's so vibrant I love typically the moss that you find the Dollar Tree it's like a mix between this brown and maybe a dead green or Dying Accords, I don't normally see it, or at least I don't see it , this fresh brightly colored moss at the Dollar Tree, so when I saw it, I picked up several bags because I thought it would be

beautiful

and some of my next DIY projects that I'm going to do. use hot glue.
I'm going to stick this to the felt and the hot glue will hold it in place. You just want to be generous with the hot glue and the purpose behind the felt again. You can see it will give it moss. something more to adhere to than just the wire in the ring. I chose the green felt because if there are areas that you can actually see through the moss, it won't be noticeable because we used a green felt and because this bag was so packed. Well, I was able to cover this entire ring with just one bag too many for those of you who might like me and I'd be like, "Oh my God, it's going to come off, it's going to fall everywhere.
I'm going to have a constant mess." ". to clean if you take a spray hairspray this is one I bought from the Dollar Tree and you give this moss a good coat of hairspray it will work the same way it works for your hair it will stick and it will will remain firm. place and you will be free of a big mess on your floor, it's time to finish this DIY by placing our adorable flower pots in our moss wreath and I thought I would start by placing the Buffalo check flower pots in the places above 12 3 6 and 9 and between each of those pots, I would then attach the white pots, doing it every other pot using hot glue, it will work well for this, you just want to make sure you are generous with the glue on the sides of the pot and if you have any of that floral foam sticking out enough , you should put a little glue on the floral foam because it will give it a lot more to stick to the moss.
I know. I put twine on my farm DIYs, but what you guys don't know is that I love raffia too, so I'm going to use this black raffia that I bought at Target Dollar Spot and I thought I would make black bows that I would put on each of the white pots, I didn't feel like putting them in every pot because they wouldn't stand out when it comes to the Buffalo check. I couldn't find a white raffia that I was happy with so I think just putting it in the white pogs will give it a little more color and the bows will stand out a little more and there you have it, that's how I use these flower pots. peat to make this adorable buffalo plaid farmhouse wreath.
About the wreaths, I love them and I love the color combination of black and white, green moss and red berries. I think there are so many different aspects of this wreath that really stand out and draw attention, and I think it's one of those that can be kept up all year long. This is one I actually did in the spring, I'd say about two and a half years ago, and I actually filmed the DIY for this and never edited it or posted it, but this is Also an alternative to Mod Podge on the pots is to paint them also.
I love this crown. If you've been following me for a while, you know that I love wreaths or something that I incorporate every season, every holiday, on my forehead. out door, so it's something I do quite often and I really love the feel of the Buffalo plaid with the black flowers, I think it really has that farmhouse feel to it thatI really love it right now, I'm obsessed with it, I'm trying not to go crazy, but the black Bingham is something I've definitely been trying to incorporate into my decor and this was one of the ways I did it using the paper to scrapbooking and these peat pots.
I think it turned out adorable using some of the black flowers that you can get at Dollar Tree now if you're watching this video. Outside of Halloween, you can very easily, like I said before, spray paint some flowers and make them black, but since it's Halloween and they're already available, I thought it was a good time to bring you this DIY. I hope you all enjoyed today's DIY please. Make sure you give this video a thumbs up and let's take this video to 5,000 lights because like I always say, each and every one of those thumbs up really helps my channel grow and helps YouTube notice me a little more.
As I said at the beginning, you'll want to make sure and keep an eye out for this Thursday, my goodie, because I'll be using some of these peat pots again until next time. I hope you have a fantastic time. Preparation with a budget and goodbye for now everyone.
