LED Lights Makeup Challenge!

Feb 27, 2020
Hello James Charles sisters and welcome back to my YouTube channel for today's video. I'm so excited because we're doing something that we haven't done in a long time but that I love doing and it's a

makeup

challenge

. Now this particular

challenge

has been requested non-stop in my comments with several videos in a row missing and I've actually wanted to do this for so long so I'm very, very excited and that's what I think I'll call it LED

lights

. challenge now you're probably wondering James, what the hell are you talking about? Don't worry, I'll explain it to you right now.
led lights makeup challenge
It's a big trend for people to buy LEDs in small light trips and place them on top. of their rooms for cool and fun lighting effects and also tik-tok transitions, now talking about ticking, this actually became an 8th trend that we talked about a few weeks ago where basically people changed the color of their

lights

and was wearing

makeup

in a specific color now. This may not seem too difficult because we all have our everyday makeup products that we know and love, but where it gets very difficult is the eyeshadow part. I want to show you a quick example because a lot of people were using my palette for this. challenge because there are 39 beautiful colors of the rainbow, but when you turn on the LED lights this way it's not so blue anymore and now they all look exactly the same, so for this challenge today I'm not under my palette because I have it memorized.

More Interesting Facts About,

led lights makeup challenge...

I'm going to pick a random color palette from my makeup collection and try my best to do my entire face makeup and beautiful eyeshadow using only colorful LED lighting and at the end of this video you and I will find out together how it really turns out let's get started, well guys I just want to talk about the right thing, not only because I'm excited but also because this is really hurting my eyes and ruining my overall vision, like I said at the beginning. the person's face will probably be pretty easy, so I'm going to speed it up, but let's go ahead and get started.
led lights makeup challenge
First I'm going to color correct using my bright green dragon beauty color corrector. I'm going to put it on my beard area. This looks so crazy and this holy crop of illumination and we're going to go ahead and blend this extreme just by putting the excess under the eyes or a good dark circle coverage. Now for a base, I'm going to mix my two nobles, which is the Dior Air Flash. and the Fenty Pro filter in the shade at 150 match base is already difficult for me in normal lighting, so this lighting should be very interesting. I know these two colors mix really well to create my skin tone, but I'm not really sure what it is.
led lights makeup challenge
It looks like I'm just going to blend it using my beauty sponge as usual. I mean, I have no idea if my bases like it. Well, this is actually harder than I thought. Well, concealer. I'm just going to grab my shape and tape it on the shadow. the light I'm just going to put this on my normal high points on my face, so I almost used the wrong shade, no, this is tripping me up, okay, I'm going to blend it. I'm just going to set this with powder, as always using the other side. of my sponge pressing it there to set it as a kind of contours, always facilitating my Beverly Hills Anasazi contour kits.
I know where the real colors are in this palette and I know I always use this one in the middle, but I don't think so. I can't really say how intense this will look, I just think my normal skin oh no, I'm Simon, well I'm actually getting nervous about this, okay, and I'm also going to contour my nose, this might get worse. quick I'm going to get out of here and I'll have the hardest nose contour of our weight it literally looks like there's nothing there but I'm also afraid it's going to get there and then turn the light back on and look crazy so it's Like try to tread carefully here and be careful, don't line my forehead, yeah, I didn't get a tan.
I thought I didn't do it right, so lately I did a little blush tanning using Kylie Cosmetics Pink Dreams, which looks bright yellow, oh. Oh my god, this is crazy. What is the hatch? We try to change the color and see if it looks different like a different color. I'm sure it will work well. Let's try it. Oh, here I can dip the outline of my nose. It's definitely there. Look at that, oh, oh, I can see the colors a little easier in the blue, all good, sneeze, let's come stay here and see if it looks slow hmm, oh, I took a light block, oh, wow, it's like a block like that when you're like.
Investigating a crime scene you're looking for hidden specimens, well now, looking under this light, I can tell my outline is a little harsh, oh shit for eyebrows. Otis could use my Anasazi brow powder and the medium brown shade, and I'm just going to clean up my brows using a little bit of concealer and a flat brush. I think this is good, it was definitely harder than I thought, but I think if we turned on the lights right now, it would look good, with that being said, we are. I'm about to move on to the eyeshadow part and this is where it gets very, very difficult.
I would love to say it with this blue lighting because my head hurts a lot less and I can actually see a little bit of color, but this is makeup. challenge, I don't want to make the speed too easy, so let's go ahead and turn on the LED lights. You look at my skin, yeah, ah, oh, that's some hard contouring, oh my gosh, did I really contour things as hard as Princess Fiona for these videos today? I'm going to use the Stacey at Marie xB Perfect Cosmetics Carnival Palette because in normal lighting it's a very beautiful and pigmented/rainbow palette similar to mine, but I don't have any color positions memorized, so the end result will be colorful could be good could be bad but we won't know until then so let's get into it as we focus on the eyes for this challenge.
I think it would be fun and it might also bother me again. in the background make an eye with green lighting and a certain color combination and then change the lighting and make a different color combination in a different color and then at the end when we turn the normal light back on and see which one I really like like It looks better and it's like a better color situation, but I have plans to go out to dinner with my friends after this and being in public may not be a good idea, so of course I'm going to prep my lids with a little concealer. and first I'm going to do my left eye.
First I'm going to grab a four five six brush, which is my custom brush that I created with morphia. Come on James, 10% off and let's do it with the shade. No, I have no idea, okay, let's do it. your persuasion I don't know what this color is, but it looks like it's a lighter color than a lot of others, so at least that means we'll be able to put it in the right place, so I'm going to grab it. persuasion and I'm going to use this brush I'm going to start patting on my outer corner in a nice V shape and now I'm going to take a brush and 4-3-3 and let's dive into the color spectacle. ship I'm going to use the display ship to diffuse the persuasion.
Next, I'm going to take another M 4-3-3 brush and dip it into the shadow called height and I was going to put this in my inner corner and blend them together. person, the combination of this looks really beautiful and on camera it looks no, it still looks good, but it could look better, this is actually a lot of fun. I'm sure I'll say it now until I turn the lights back on and look like I did it. hit by a bus, now I'm going to grab a little bit more persuasion on my own four five six brush I'm going to get this under my lash line like this and I'm not going to grab a little bit of show on my other brush and polish that color so now that's there, so there's this color in this palette called ecstasy and it looks like lime green and I'm going to grab ecstasy with a brush and I'm going to press this into my inner corner to get a nice glow.
Skipping the fact that it doesn't even show up on my skin makes me think it's probably actually a neon green color and I'm just going to cut into my crease using a bit of concealer and a flat brush. I'm going to get the mint shade and I'm going to give it a good amount of prep setting spray and then I'm going to pack this into the lid, carefully placing this color in there, making sure I don't mess up the crease of the cut and I'm also going to check the color, so I'm going to put this particular color on the lid also in this outer area and that was my same brush M 4 or 5 6 before I dive a little bit deeper into persuasion.
I'm just going to top this off to the edge and make sure it's blended well, so I think that's pretty much what I complete. I have no idea what it will look like. I'm going to add, of course, eyelashes and mascara later, but for now let's go ahead and change the lighting one more time and move on to the other eye and see what we come up with oh no oh god what the hell what do I do? I look like I have a black eye, this is what it looks like. so normal and the right thing to do, oh my god this is so bad, well we have nothing to lose now so let's move on to the other lid of Primus so I definitely need some of the colors in the palette that don't we use. last time, so this time I'm going to grab the shadow, let's try to cover the shadow of Wasted with this lighting, the shadow looks light purple, so taking the shadow of Wasted I'm not going to say another brush M 4 5 6 and I'm going to put this. in the outer area and going over this M, okay, I'm just getting into the same kind of motion and slightly blurring the edges as we go.
I'm going to grab the shadow with lust. I don't know this is what we're going to try to blend out the waste using this color, don't be shy, put a little more, ok, blending this now with another brush M 4 5 6, let's take the lip color because our mmhmm yeah, let's go with the color on the left because it's the right one. Almost endless, at some point I think this will be a nice warm shade, unlike whatever is going on here, blend it up to the lower lash line as well for the public art of this eye. I'm going to take the shade called pepti. at the bottom of the palette, so we're going to cut our crease one more time, okay, once you grab me, another flat brush, I'm going to dip it in, let's do the pink shade, I know for a fact that this one is going to be pink. for the name, so thanks Stacy for that and we're going to put this one all over the lid just like we did with our last color, keeping it nice and light for the outside.
I'm going to get a little bit of the shadow in the temptation I'm going to put this on to mix that spoken and wasted pink color, okay guys, that's the shadow part of both eyes, everything complete. I'm horrified because this eye looked a lot like this one I made before us. change the lighting so I don't know what will happen when we change the color next but before we do that I'm going to go ahead and apply the lashes and mascara and then we'll finish this length okay guys? When I came back I put on lashes and mascara, thank goodness the only color involved with them is black so no surprises so let's go ahead and do a highlighter.
I'm just going to grab my highlighting brush and probe B says I actually thought. highlighters, so I'm going to use this one above because it looks like it's the lightest and let's go ahead and just put this on, look at the whole top of the eyebrows, it's always a little bit on the chin and then the nose is highlighted. Also okay, our last and final step will be on the lips and I could go ahead and grab a nude lip that I have on my desk because I wear them all the time, but this is already a mess, okay, let's be real.
She said to be more fun to go through my lipstick drawer and just pick a random color and see what ends up happening once again, so I went ahead and picked this one from Kylie Cosmetics. I haven't looked at the actual name, but I picked this color because it looked a little different shade-wise than a lot of the other lipsticks that I knew were nude in the drawer, so I'm hoping this is something fun that still matches the rest of the look, okay, I think If this look is complete, I'm going to go ahead, I'm going to give myself a quick spritz of my morphine, which helps set the setting spray to really set it in place and now it's time, ladies and gentlemen, after from a very long and scary makeup application process, to turning off our LED Lights and we go back to our normal Beauty lighting and see what the hell we have on our face.
They are ready? One two three. I'm going to look down first so my eyes can adjust back to normal colors, okay, okay, oh, wait a second. It's cute like it's not good, it's not good, but oh my God, wait a second, you know? I only wear green lipstick, I have nun green lipstick so it's cute, I don't like any of this, the skin doesn't look that bad and this lip color was definitely the worst decision ever, otherwise guys, well, I think this LED light makeup challenge is complete. I had a lot of fun filming this today even though it was a rollercoaster of emotions throughout the entire process.
Along the way, I went into this with very, very low expectations because I'm very used to my beautiful white lighting and I had a feeling that the colored lighting was going to be very, very misleading and, oh boy, in the end I felt that way. Both looks we came up with are pretty cute, I had fun and that's all that matters and I really hope you enjoyed this too.
