Labs Map Guide! - Ultimate Escape From Tarkov Beginners Guide!

Feb 23, 2020
What's up guys? I'm Jesse Kazaam and welcome back to another beginner's

guide

to Escape from Tarkov. In this video, we will do an overview of the terrorist group laboratories map in Escape from Tarkov. This is personally one of my favorite maps in the game. but it can definitely be quite overwhelming and quite complicated, but once you get used to it and master some of the mechanics, it can be a lot of fun if you're new to the channel. I

escape

from the Tarkov

guide

s and also stream.

escape

from

tarkov

on Twitch and all my links will be below but with all that out of the way let's go ahead and dive in so this is the only map that is locked behind a paywall and that means you actually have to pay to obtain an access key card a single-use access key card that grants you access to shared group laboratories that is purchased for that level of therapist for the current price is one hundred eighty-nine thousand rubles.

You can only purchase one each reset, which means one every three hours. I can't buy them at the flea market sometimes for a little less than the therapist sells them most of the time a little more the price of those key cards changes all the time at the beginning of point twelve they were three hundred thousand As developers continue to balance that map, I'm sure those mechanics and pricing will change, but just keep in mind that you need a keycard to enter laps, it has to be with you and it's single use. It consumes a very important side note: you can play

labs

offline, you need a keycard, but it won't consume it, so if you just want to play offline to learn the map, you can buy a keycard and just reuse it over and over. again. once again until you're confident enough to take part in a raid, which is good because I highly recommend playing this map offline.

More Interesting Facts About,

labs map guide ultimate escape from tarkov beginners guide...

Another thing that sets it apart from other maps is that this map is populated entirely by scav Raiders and scab Raiders are scabs. in the Lord, they are XP MCs that have abandoned their positions or whatever, but they are really dangerous, they can have very high level loot, let me see these as really better for your weapons, some really better for your armor, really best for your ammo. They have much better routes, they are much more accurate, they can be much more aggressive, so these guys are really scabs, so this definitely adds a big challenge. I mean, I've gotten one of the corner raiders a million times in the

labs

now, so in addition to the PvP, the PvE can be really intense, but it adds that extra reward factor so you can get in and out of the labs with a Lots of high level loot accessories, ammo, armor, all kinds of stuff like that, so it can be very profitable. run labs, but it's also very risky so I just wanted to go over that stuff before we dive in and look on a map how to get in and what you'll look at once you get in, so on the wiki there's a Terrorist Group Labs page.
labs map guide ultimate escape from tarkov beginners guide
I'm going to link it below, which has all these maps where the labs are basically divided into three levels, so it's not a very wide map, but it has a lot of verticality, so there is a basement area with a lot of tunnels , the first floor and then the second floor, much of which looks towards the first floor and then also has some rooms, again, this guide is not intended to be incredibly in-depth, well, the point of this is to give you some points of reference that will help you, but you will have to familiarize yourself with this map.
labs map guide ultimate escape from tarkov beginners guide
Terra coupe labs used to be free, so many of us who played one were able to run it and repeat it. and also the risk was a little bit lower at the time so I would highly recommend cutting out because it costs to even get into the labs and learn this stuff, but if we start on the first floor, the main level, you can basically see you can cut out the labs. in half horizontally here and see these two main sections. The main point of interest of this upper section is going to be the parking gate extraction, so there's a parking lot here, there's a bunch of cars in it, there's an extraction right here, we'll talk about extractions in a moment, but this would be the main point of interest.
All these other things are like recreation, more lifestyle, there's a gym reception, some bunk beds, you know, desks and things like that here. the first floor, but I would suggest that if you are on this side of the map, always know where you are in reference to the parking lot and then on this bottom half the main point of interest will be the warehouse extraction, so these are the two types of main extractions from the labs, so this will be your point of interest down here, this side is much more work related, there are a lot more computers, tents, medical supplies and server rooms back here and stuff.
So, again, it's a lot to go into, but on this side of the map, know where you are in reference to that, so my first big tip is to check them out and always try to know where you are in reference. to these points of interest because especially when you are here in this intermediate area it can become very dangerous because people may be looking down on you, there may be Raiders everywhere and if you are trying to navigate a difficult situation, I want to know where you are in reference to these two areas, the top floor is basically like this whole middle area, it's actually like looking down, there's a manager's office on the second floor up here and like a conference room, but the parking lot. there is no second floor, the warehouse, there is only one platform here, there are some doctors offices that are on the second floor, but most of it looks down, but there are tons of stairs in all kinds of verticality and ways to go up and down . the first and second floor, the basement level, this is once again a great place to do a lot of offline raids because it can be extremely confusing after hundreds and hundreds of lab raids.
I still often get confused as to where I am in the basement. There are a lot of tunnels that aren't used very often, some extractions that aren't used very often, but again, it's a great place to start: figuring out where you are down here in reference to those points of interest. I would definitely suggest learning downstairs because there are plenty of ways to get down to the basement and then back up to the main floors and being able to use verticality to your advantage in a fight can be huge. I've seen countless ridiculously incredible flanks. Getting dragged in PvP and in PvE when you're trapped somewhere and you know you can go down to the basement, you know, you run around the map and then appear behind your enemy, so it's valuable to know this, but it's a little tricky to learn .
Those are the points of interest and how the map flows. I want to talk about extraction, so with the map of the terrorist group's laboratories, this is where they started these dynamic extraction points. We see some of these on the reservation and I. I'm sure they will continue to add them to other maps, but every extraction in the labs requires something. There is no place where you can just stand up and leave right away. Everything requires some kind of thing to happen. You have to wear a certain thing. you have to flip a switch, you have to power an elevator, there's something going on, so I want to break down each of these extractions so you're aware, definitely play offline once again, the main two will be the parking lot and the warehouse exfiltra the parking lot is this the way you extract is by flipping a switch that will be on the second floor the second floor right here is a small office, you open the door and there is a switch in the command center there you activate that and it will actually open the big parking lot in the back and you won't be able to get out.
Another important thing to note is that activating extractions calls out the Raiders, so when you appear on a map, they will be PMC after a few minutes. Scabs will appear on these Raiders, but activating extractions is the main source of what to call them, so when you press that button and this garage door opens almost every time, a group of Raiders runs out of that parking lot and many times you will also start to appear elsewhere, so these main extractions are the ones that you call and will enter a PvE fight. It's not as simple as pressing the button and then running out, it will call these Raiders, the warehouse extraction is very similar on the second floor there is like a platform like a metal platform that overlooks this giant warehouse and in this little type of administrative office there is a button, click that button, this garage door opens right here, a group of Raiders are going to come out.
You'll have to fight your way out and just run to the back of the parking lot and into the warehouse to mine once you're done fighting and looting. The other thing to note about these two extractions specifically is that these extractions are currently used. to be farmed quite a bit, you would spawn in, press the button, call the Raiders, get all their loot and then go out and it wasn't engaging, there wasn't much movement, it wasn't happening, so currently What works is that when you spawn in each of these you have a 50% chance of being available, which means that 50% of the time you're going to run to the button room you're going to see the button and not be able to turn it on and that means that the parking extraction just isn't going to work. work and the same with the warehouse, so sometimes you can't use it, sometimes you can use both, but that's how they work right now.
I guess they are going to modify it more. I'll add a note to this video if they do it, but this is how they work. These are also the two main draws to call Raiders, so a lot of times you'll hear them called without Anyone who really wants to draw can be called early on because people want to draw Raiders. You can use Raiders to flush out other people or expose where they are and also just farm Raiders for loot every time you pull. it sets off some sort of alarm, as if a Russian lady comes to an intercom and talks in Russian for a while about what extraction has just been performed.
It's not really information unless you speak Russian, I imagine, but it lets other players know that someone is trying to mine. or call some Raiders and then call the Raider, so the extractions are very dynamic, so on those floors that look like the middle and upper floor, these are the two main extractions, the warehouse and the parking door, There are plenty more in the basement, so The Sewer isn't used very often, but it's a relatively easy and safe extract to use for the most part. This whole sewer tunnel can be accessed a few different ways, but if you run down there is a button on the side of the room that drains the sewer, you basically just have to wait 30 to 45 seconds for the sewer to drain.
You walk to the other side of the room and you can easily pull it down on the bottom side type. There are two different buttons here. This button is basically all the way down. at the end, the hallway in a room right here and it calls an elevator right here, so you are powering the elevator, you have to run down, you have to call the elevator once it has been turned on, once the elevator arrives, It opens, you can get there. Go in and extract right around the corner, in this room there's another button that's powering an elevator that's all the way up to the third floor to here on the second floor and this is like a freight elevator and it actually opens. wide you can extract like a whole squad from that extraction.
This isn't used very often because it's very close to another extraction and you have to go up two or three flights of stairs to get to where you need to extract, but that's what that button a lot of times people will call these two buttons and then just will hold down this hallway down here because these will spawn a lot of Raiders here in the basement around the corner from there you can go up these two hallways and Back here is the vent extraction, you can't use a backpack, it's a pit, you can use a mbss, which is a very small or smaller backpack, but any backpack bigger than that you won't be able to extract, so you're going to have to get rid of your backpack or move your loot and turn it into a smaller backpack, but that's the closest thing to being able to run and leave.
If you have a mbss or a smaller backpack you can just walk up there and in ten second gel extract, but in the labs you're going to want a bigger backpack because that's where the heat benefit comes from, it's all that loot. Here you will find a button that powers another elevator and once again, this button is relatively close to the elevator you go down the hallway there is a small switchboard room that connects these two hallways you come out there is an elevator right here you call that elevator and you can extract once plus this button can generate some Raiders down here so those are the extractions reallyyou have the main two that will be on the first floor and the second floor and then you have several in the basement, the main ones that are used in almost every raid, the door to the parking lot and the warehouse flip so even if you are just wandering around later in the rain collecting loot most of the time these will be open and you can just leave, but again, it is very valuable to know the basement because if you are in a situation where you need to get out quickly, you can easily identify where are.
Go down to the basement, press a button and then just go extract or if you press or or double tap, oh you can see what extractions have been called, what elevators and stuff like that, sometimes that works, it's not very reliable, but it's there, This is how extractions work. I know it's a lot, but it's really important to know that so you don't run into an extraction and say hey, why don't I get off this elevator? It says this elevator right here. The other thing I want to touch on real quick before the video ends is something.
Of the most popular PvP areas, these are like there are some areas where fights almost always take place in laboratories and knowing where they are you can use them to your advantage or just avoid those areas, so parking and warehouse These are definitely places where a lot of PvP and PvE are going to happen on top of that, this area here if we go up to the second floor, there's a kitchen here and a cafeteria and there's a hallway back here, this whole area seems to be one place. where a lot of PvP happens, you can go up these stairs, a lot of people like to keep this hallway and because a lot of raiders can spawn here, this whole kitchen area, this kind of top right corner, a lot of PvP ends This happens there, If you move down this hallway, you'll see this room right here that has a bunch of rooms with keys.
This is a very valuable loot room. A lot of PvP can happen here and then if we go to the first floor, the parking lot right here there's a hallway that leads up here back to this reception area. This is another hallway where a lot of people like to stay in the hallway, wait for the Raiders to come out to the parking lot, kill them and collect their loot and a lot of people know this so a lot of people will rush to this area and try to clear out a lot of the PvP happening here.
This is an incredibly hot area. In the main work area there is a tent here. that has some really valuable loot, like the the basement. Actually, sometimes it depends on the raid, but there will be more of that near these extraction points and the second floor is the same. Most people are just moving towards these extraction points, the conference room and the main office here. They are really exposed points, if you have the key to the administrator's office, there is some really good loot there, but it is very visible and exposed, so you know, use it at your own risk.
Another place where you can find a lot of PvP is here, on the other side of the warehouse there are some stairs and hallways there is a large server room right here with a walkway and in this office many times PvP can occur labs many labs of people trying to maintain areas and farm those Raiders and then you have people who like to hold on and then you have people who like players who like to eliminate those people and engage in that PvP, so those main areas will be all this kitchen and the hallway back here along this hallway with the security rooms, the hallway to the right. here by the parking gate and then this server room, walkway and console room right here, so I know it's a lot.
I know that when looking at maps it is really difficult to understand where we are. This is an amazing map. There are a lot of dynamics. When you play well, there's a lot going on here and like we said, this is just kind of an overview, but I really hope this helped give you an overview of how to get in, what to expect when you get in. those scav Raiders, so some landmarks as a starting point, there's kind of a launching pad for learning the map and knowing where to go. I hope this helps you understand how extractions work and some points to avoid if you're I'm not looking for PvP or where to go if you're looking for some PvP and I hope this has given you that launching pad to really learn this map. incredible.
Thank you all so much, as always, for taking the time to review this. video I know this map is complicated, there was a lot here, so if you have any questions, post them below like I said.
