building that's a standout performance for next time you want to hear it in the best of seven series when you win game one do you mind that oh i love that what you got five percent okay there you go great number we call it useful here on this yeah we're getting game one getting game one on the way you know again now you're really setting the tone you've just regained control now of the series because now you've got home court um for Brunson , this is a team, the Cavs are number three in the league in defending the paint correctly.

Brunson scored 12 of his points in the paint, 6 of 11 shots to make it in the paint, actually he was more effective in the paint than Evan Mobley. It was yes, for the Cavs, he had a lot of opportunities in the paint, he couldn't finish again. game for sure and a big part of that was we didn't point this out the Knicks held the Cavs under 100 points yeah that's a great story I know about this too their defense got it going this game it is a defense that leads. on offense here yeah and Tom Thibodeau just finished talking in his press conference about multiple efforts now freeze it there's some great double teaming going on and it's a tough double teaming to get the ball out of the hand of Donovan Mitchell and that's exactly what's going on here now Mobley had a lot of the ball in this situation now freeze it there that's a nice help from Josh Hart but then there's another guy helping here because Josh Hart can't get off the corner shooter and that's Isaiah hartenstein being smart being in the right position forced Evan Mobley to shoot 4 of 13 on shots like that and then you get the rebound Josh Hart always has his head spinning looking up looking up terrible defense terrible defense no one picks him up in the middle of the court no one communicates and signals to stop the ball that's the number one rule in transition defense you got to stop the ball and Josh Hart just goes right if you're not going to stop me I'm just going to go around everyone and go straight to the basket and easily getting two points Josh Hart was absolutely outstanding the DNA of this team changed when he came in the trade we were talking about it the 50 50 balls he gets the loose balls being in the right place all the time the multiple efforts on defense like that play when he just covered up a little bit just to deflect Mobley a little bit I mean he was outstanding again tonight Great performance off the bench his best skill engine yeah you know when he comes into the game it's just go go go and he makes all kinds of plays and we're going to show another effort of his where he gets an open three for Julius Randle at a point in the game where they really needed him and he never makes questionable plays, it's just always the smart simple play and this is a good job.

I didn't like that shot I think we can make a better shot this is what teams know and coaches and players talk about not taking the first available shot because sometimes if you probe the defense you'll get a better shot for really good penetrating defense it's all out of control Randall's hands up here and I like it when Randall takes these kind of shots because sometimes when he gets those threes off the dribble he brings his hand back in his face it's good for him to just catch and shoot a good three of pace here, this was also a great basket that gave the Knicks a 10-point lead with six and a half minutes left in the fourth quarter and then the Knicks were able to hang on, but that's just one example of how important that It's Josh Hart for this team it was that point in the game where Bill started practicing his opening on a win we told him not to touch the money but it came down to a few clutch plays late and Jalen Brunson made this one to put him ahead by four, which pretty much sealed the win, and two monster offensive rebounds down the stretch of the game.

The shot clocks are running out, so he stops here. it's just a loose rebound one of those 50 50 balls you get a break in this situation where you anticipate where you were bouncing on the rim you step over your Defender who's trying to block it and look at this look at the tip just with a hand pulls it out and brings it to brunson ok everyone is a little confused what is going on teddy osman looks around ok Osman screen left screen left and he faltered and as a guard if you can pop the screen and not use the screen and reject it you're going to get to the basket every time you see here comes the pick and Mobley is out of position Jared Allen I have to get here a little faster, um, you know, to try to make that a tougher shot for Brunson, but Brunson just does a good job and not always having to shoot a layup, he stops at that range. five foot, shoot a float and stuff.
