I should also mention if you are frying chicken, it is important to make sure the chicken is fully cooked. I recommend that you get an instant read thermometer. Make sure it is at 165 degrees. Let's give it a taste. I haven't eaten KFC in a long time. look how small the thigh is, I remember they were already much bigger, I was much smaller too, here we go, itadakimasu, that's some good chicken, omg I haven't had that in a long time, now I understand I grew up eating kentucky fried. chicken so I'm probably partial to these particular flavors but this is just how I remember it, the skin isn't as crispy because I usually get the taste extra crispy but still tasty, it's a little spicier than I remember because I think Now that I made this recipe and I was like, oh yeah, there's a lot of white pepper in there, but it's delicious.
Now let's try the homemade version, so I'm impressed with the air fryer in the sense that it made it pretty crispy if you can hear that. very crispy but it was burnt and cooked unevenly, I see all these kinds of flower patches and it's just not very attractive, it cooked it all the way through in the 20 minutes which impressed me as well, let's see how it tastes, here we go, mmm. I have to say that the homemade version is a little more delicious than the store bought version because it is freshly fried, the meat is very succulent, juicy and spicy and like all fried foods, they are best when fried fresh, there is no rancid oil flavors no french fry flavors just freshly cooked fried chicken is really good what's wrong with the taste?
I have to say that it tastes very similar to the original version, except that it is a little spicier and has a bit more heat in this part. It doesn't taste as wrinkled as I thought, this is black so I thought it was going to taste tarry but it doesn't, it's quite tasty and by not adding any additional oil I'm impressed with the amount of crunchy texture here but not with the burning, but I suspect this is not the recipe for a deep fryer, perhaps if you made more wet dough instead of doing this type of dry dredging you would get less of this type of uneven cooking.
Ok, let's try the fried version of Daddy Mac. Here we go hmm, that's pretty good, did you hear that crunchy one? It's a pretty tasty fried chicken. Look how juicy and succulent it is. The crust is crispy. It has an excellent caramelized flavor. Very well fried and that seasoning is excellent. It worried me. it would be a little too salty because we added celery salt, garlic salt and regular salt, but it's not because we didn't season the buttermilk because we didn't season the chicken, it actually works very well, there's just a light layer of that. it's actually powder, but it's a really very good recipe, I really recommend adding msg to this recipe, it really makes it taste processed, it makes it taste like kfc, don't be afraid of msg, it's already in everything, you just don't know it .
