Justin Bieber Serenades Ellen with 'Yummy'Feb 19, 2020
I'm so happy. Our first guest is here for my birthday show. He's always been one of our favorites around here. He's been here many-- I think this is his 27th time. Look at this. Here to make his daytime television debut, please welcome the lovable Justin Bieber. Let me tell you the time. I'll tell you once. And I'll be your only boy. I'll tell you once. I'm on my way to surprise Paige. She says that she is my biggest fan. Here we go, Ellen. Her songs are very uplifting. Is that my mother again? Hey. How are you?
Here you have. These are for you. Are you kidding. No, I'm not kidding. Oh Lord! I love you! Is it too late now to say sorry? Because I miss something more than your body. Ay ay ay. Follow my finger, not your head, just your eyes. Only your eyes, not your head. Go faster. Go very fast. So you're not taking this seriously. Oh Lord. I'm sorry. I have one more surprise for you. Oh, it's true. Justin is going to be in Michigan. In fact, we're going to give $1 for every ticket to his school. Please welcome Justin Bieber.
Yes, I know that I let you down. Is it too late to say I'm sorry now? I'm sorry. Please welcome my friend Justin Bieber. Yeah, you got that
yummy, yummy, yummy. Yeah, you got that delicious yum, that delicious yum, that delicious yummy. Say the word, on my way. Yeah baby, yeah baby, yeah baby, any night, any day. Say the word, on my way. Yeah baby, yeah baby, yeah baby, morning or afternoon, say the word, on my way. Well, aren't they beautiful? Thank you very much, my friend. This is your 27th time. And this is your second time at my birthday show, so it's really nice that you're here.
Is awesome. Remember, did you see that montage we just showed? I did. Yes, I was right there. Do you remember all those? I do, yes. They were all so different. It was in all the different places and times in my life, in different places in my life. I grew up on your show, now that I think about it. Yes. You owe me a lot. Yes. No, I know what you mean. No, you don't. But if you want, you know, a little cut, I'll take it. Do you have a favorite memory of something you did on the show?
I love the fact that what you do so brilliantly is create an amazing atmosphere so that I feel like I can be myself. And I just-- I really appreciate that. Also, I love doing all the pranks and stuff. All of those are also fun. Times like that to be goofy and just, like I said, be myself, that's a big part of who I am. I'm just a dumb person. And you have always accepted me for me. And that's an amazing quality. So thank you very much. It's true. And I love you for who you are also because actually, you came on the show when you were first discovered.
And I love the documentary so much. And it really explains to people what you went through and why you needed to take a break. Yes. Are you happy with that? I'm very happy with that. Yes, thanks for asking. If it is too good. And they talk about how their dopamine levels, like, what it does to a person's brain at such a young age or any age. When you're surrounded by that kind of noise and emotion for so long, did you realize that was, looking back, what it was doing to you? I was 15 years old when I really started touring.
And with that being said, you're on tour: dopamine depletion. And the best way to describe it is that I go out every night. And I'm giving, giving, giving, giving, giving. And I don't understand how to get the proper nutrients that I need and all that kind of stuff back, because I'm a kid. And I'm also doing the rest of the stuff, growing up and experimenting with drugs and doing all that kind of stuff. So I just didn't realize the insanity that-- the toll it would take on my body. So yes. It was a lot. It was a lot, yes.
And I'm so glad you're back because you took a break. Thank you. And this makes me so happy that you're singing again. You are typing again. The songs are great. Thank you. There's a guitar back there. I don't know if you noticed that. Yes. I brought you flowers. But I also really wanted to sing something to you. Good OK. Sure? OK. You don't have to beg me. As you know, I have a song called "Yummy". So I tuned my guitar backstage. And now it's higher. So I have to find out if I can still play these notes. (SINGING) Yeah, yeah, you got that delicious yum, that delicious yum, that delicious yummy.
Yeah, you got that delicious yum, that delicious yum, that delicious yum. Say the word, on my way. Yeah baby, yeah baby, yeah baby, any night, any day, say the word, on my way. Yeah baby, yeah baby, yeah baby, in the morning or afternoon. I think it's her birthday too. Shall we sing happy birthday to him? We need everyone in this room to sing with me. Do you think you can do that? Yeah! Ready? (SINGING) Happy birthday to you. Happy Birthday. Happy birthday dear Elena. Happy Birthday. Great job. Great job. Great job. Thank you all. That's a little preview.
More with Justin after this. We'll take a break.
