Feb 27, 2020
Hello guys EVP men, here today we are going to follow up on our review of the Jabber Allie6050, it has been 5

days

and I have been using these headphones every day and I want to share with you what I liked and what I did. Let's check it out, so today we will cover several points with the Jabber

elite

so far. I'm going to talk about call quality. We'll talk about battery life. We'll talk about the overall audio experience, including that pass. through the function you can have with the headphones, the fit and we will talk about the application, so let's start with the call quality first.

Now, one of the things that drew me at the CES show to the chatter was the microphone array. It's supposed to give you a superior audio experience when it comes to taking phone calls; in other words, the person listening to you on the call will not receive all the ambient noise, the wind noise, that would expand, dear friends, and that has been it for me. One of the biggest problems with headphones like this is that they don't have the boom mic, so what I did yesterday during the Super Bowl during the halftime break I paused and then I went out and we're in Chicago. it's snowing and it's windy and you're going to hear an audio sample of me outside in the wind and what they sound like now the audio sample will include the wind hitting me directly in the face the wind hitting my left ear the wind hitting my right ear and then the wind it hits me from behind and then I'll put on a hoodie and then the hoodie will cover the headphones and what's the audio experience as well.

Now keep in mind that there will probably be a little scratching when I put it on. on the hoodie, but this

should

give you an idea of what the audio experience is like, so let's check it out, so here's an audio test of the Jabber Elite 65 jersey on this Super Bowl Sunday and I've got the wind blowing directly in my face. I only have some snow here in Chicago, so that kind of looks festive for the temperature right now. I face a decently strong wind coming. I'm going to turn my face away from the wind and then I'll have winter on my back and then I'll see. how the headphones sound, right now the wind

should

only be coming from one ear, it's coming from my left ear and I'm going to continue rotating, so now the wind is towards my back and moving towards my right ear, let's see what the audio is.

The quality is like continue the shift and walk and I'm going to put on a hoodie that's going to cover the edge coming so you might hear a little bit of scruffy just to see if that changes the audio quality so this is what you should expect when using it now let's talk about the overall audio experience when I take phone calls and you know what my experience has been with phone calls and the caller so overall what receipt from the people I call. phone is that they hear me it is very loud first of all for the person on the other end in some cases they told me that it sounds as if it were the speaker but I am very close to the speaker I am They told me that the audio quality is as if it were in front behind the noise, not behind the noise, which is also very good because sometimes you're talking on the phone and with headphones this size people hear the noise first and you hear second, so they felt the audio quality was good, not really they realized it was in one ear but that small and felt it did a decent job now you can hear the phone call in stereo mode so if you have both in your Ear you will hear the caller in both ears.

You can also take calls in mono by just using one earbud, but it will always be the same year, but now let's talk about battery life. Battery life on these they are rated for. 5 hours with a 15 minute quick charge of an additional 1.5 hours given my correct use, so this worries

them

on the daily commute, worrying

them

in the office, what I found was that I was never in a situation and even working on which I wore them for five hours. There are times right now where I'm on a plane and we can all go four hours, but I've never been in a situation where I've been five hours straight and that's why I've never run out of battery and I think about this. stage as soon as you take them out, so if you're using them in the office or you're using them on your commute when you're done, you'll put them back in this battery case as soon as you put them in.
Back in the battery case you're charging them again and wherever you are it will add an extra 1.5 hours to your experience so I spent a full week using these four workouts working using them during the commute to my office and in the office and They haven't died yet from the discharge experience so if you ask me what the battery life is I give it a thumbs up and say they are great, I never killed them and I still haven't charged them once, now the jabber

elite

also has this pass-through feature that allows you to listen to what's going on around you and have a sort of mix between the audio that you're listening to if you're listening to an audiobook or music and what's going on around you.
Now that feature works great, but what I found during my experience is that every once in a while I would hear the audio experiencing the outside world compared to what I was hearing and it would cut out, so there were some stability issues during my review . I also noticed that if you want to use this, let's say you want to have a kind of library experience where you're not listening to music and all you want to do is drown out part of the world you know. and then you keep listening to something and someone comes up to you and talks to you.
You can't really do that with these, so unlike some of the headphones we review, our specialty headphones that focus on audio enhancements for listening aren't actually designed. for that purpose and the reason is if you have these in your ear and you have that audio pass-through feature and you're not listening to music, eventually they'll turn off and that's where I was listening to that where it would cut out. and I removed the pass through function and eventually they stopped and then I didn't hear anything so if you're looking to use them in an experience created like a library where you're not listening to music and everything you're listening to is at a very low level the outside world, they probably won't work on that wall for you now, if you want to have them for noise isolation and just plug them in your ear, no problem because they do a really good job of isolating the outside world and muffling things because of how they are designed and how deep they go into the ear canal, so they work well in that scenario, but not the other, now that audio is a pass-through feature you can enable it by pressing this twice, so that was something I was worried about when I did the initial review.
The only thing you can't do is basically remember any settings you have to make the password work, but if you want to. You can make any adjustments or want to change it from standard step to mix like you see in the app, you won't be able to make any of those changes, it's more or less turning it on or off, but at least you can do it. control it from the earphone now let's talk about the music experience the music was great good bass good mids good treble can be loud can be very loud so we give it another thumbs up when it comes to the overall audio quality so now let's talk about the overall fit and how well do they fit you, so I haven't worn them for eight hours straight because you know, during breaks and when you put things away, obviously you put them in the little container here, the travel case and the charger, but you experience very, very little ear fatigue because they are extremely light?
I also found that while they were working out they survived CrossFit type training so they would jump up, they would jump down from boxes running and you know where I found a lot of earmuffs fall off is when you're bench pressing so when you're lying on your back and you're bench pressing, you know normally your buttons that I found will just pop out just because you know where your head is at that moment, there's no problems with those scenarios with these. I did the vibration test, so I shook my head from left to right. not too hard, but enough to see if they would fall off.
This is another thing that Jabba shows on his site and they didn't hit it off so well. They have a great seal, are very comfortable to wear, very little fatigue, and again, they don't fall out. Alright, now let's talk about the application. There are a couple of things, one in particular that bothers me a little and that is this. Here I get a service message from Jabra and I don't know why he has to be there. I don't see any reason for it, it's just there and I know you can disable it, but I don't want to do any more work.
I don't mind seeing that I'm connected to the Jabra headset, but seeing this bottom piece is unnecessary and that's the feedback I'll give you, it just makes it more obvious that the program running in the background is there, so I'd like it to would disappear now. The other thing I wish the app had is that when you tap on the headphones it tells you what functions they have because you have functionality on one side to increase and decrease the volume and then on the other you have that audio enhancer that I talked about so here a through the functionality of what we talked about was not how I would like that if I had that tutorial, it would have been very easy to figure out and that was something that through experimentation and then I also read the manual, who would have thought that if you read the manual ?
I would find it, but I don't read manuals and I'm sure a lot of people don't either, so I wish there was a little more here on the tutorial side. The voice assistant side using Amazon Alexa was really easy. a really nice interface that guides you through that process and I felt like it was very simple to use and I tried it and it worked well now here in the area here through this is the area I mentioned you could control what you hear on the outside and it's something that I really enjoyed when I was listening to music or listening to an audiobook still listening to what's going on in the outside world so there you have it guys there's not much no.
I think I like the Jabber Lea 65 t-shirt - I once did a fantastic job with these headphones. I definitely give them a thumbs up and stay tuned because I will be doing some comparisons between these headphones looking at the Samsung Icon , so make sure you hit that subscribe button, thanks for watching and I'll see you next time.
