but before we dive in let's talk about what's going on here so it's been a few years since the redesign of the last z you know you look at the progression it all starts in 1970 that was the original birth of the z car with that 240z then we go 260z 280z 300z zx 350z 370z many numbers but one thing is always the same goes for the letter z now with the proto z, although nissan says this is obviously a concept car, many of the things you see in this vehicle are what will transfer over to the real road going to the nissan z.

Now many people are speculating that The name of this vehicle will be called

400z

. There are many different reasons behind why there are still many things to discover as we get closer to when this car will hit production and hit your favorite dealerships and roads, but one thing is for sure. Nissan has acquired 10 vehicles in 20 months and boy oh boy, from A to Z, they are making a renaissance for themselves, so let's move on and find out if this car will be a contender to take on the Toyota Supra or the BMW M2 , maybe. Even the Porsche 718 Cayman with this new Z, let's find out from the beginning, just as you have seen in the virtual presentation, that beautiful shape, the silhouette is incredible, now the interesting thing is that the vehicle is actually a little narrower than the current. 370z about the same, it's actually a little narrower than the nismo, the 370z nismo, but it's definitely longer in the front.

I love what they did with the headlight housing. You've got that blacked out interior, obviously, LED headlights with these daytime running lights. The lights give the car such a wonderful look of character that it will definitely separate it from everything else on the road and you can see that direct connection to 1970 with the 240z. Now the big news is out front, no fake vents. Beautiful sculpted front fascia that I love. the way they put in a hard body line that extends all the way to the corner, but everything else, that beautiful smooth finish now when we come across the grille, this was something I first saw at the virtual presentation when I did the virtual presentation with you.

Guys, I was a little hesitant, but sitting here with the car, first of all, it's very special, obviously, but second of all, I'm actually digging the nice rectangular shape of that front fascia where the grille areas are, definitely It has, as I said, that connection. to the past and in person it really fits very well, especially with the hard body lines on the sides of the top of the nose, but I really think that this area of ​​the grille, the way they made these rounded rectangular edges, gives it a lot of element. of depth and design and as you go down you come across two big ones below you can see how the front lip extends obviously a lot of this will be used for aerodynamic efficiency downforce and to introduce air into the Cooling if wondering why the car is running, we have to get this prototype running so we can show off all the exterior lighting, but wait until we get to the interior with the digital dashboard, of course the updated Nissan badge really flows very well. from the front end of the nose so perfectly now, when we go up to the hood, it's going to be hard to see on camera, but there's a slight crease that goes up and then you'll notice that there's actually a bulge at the front.

The front end of this Nissan Z now, the nice thing about it is the way it slopes and then comes back towards the windshield is more of that character taken from the 240 to the 260 to the 280 of those early years with so much character and style. In this 21st century example now, as we come around the bend, this is where I fell in love every time I set up the wheels and tires, so you're going to get these beautiful multi-spoke bronze wheels. I love the style. You'll get that Nissan badge in the center. sitting in these dunlops, even with the white, the raised white lettering really adds a lot of character to the side of the vehicle, those huge six piston calipers with the z logo on there, two piece rotors, cross drilled aluminum hats, completely vented, it will be interesting to see what's included in the actual production vehicle from what we see here, but if this is any kind of speculation about what Nissan is doing, they're definitely doing the business when it comes to capacity. braking, another big question mark is what will be there. under the fenders when it comes to the suspension parts, what kind of adjustments are you making to the chassis?

All that work that will give us a nissan z that should perform like no other before we head down the nice side bend with a hard edge under i. I love the side sill as it is, it extends outwards and then tapers inwards and you'll notice the extension of the carbon fiber side sill all the way to the rear as it widens outwards. Because the side silhouette is really what makes it for me, they actually made the vehicle longer, so this vehicle is longer than the current 370z and you could see that from front to back, but the character lines They are absolutely stunning. uh in turn the integrated singles will of course have that two tone configuration with the blacked out roof and gloss black pillars along the base of the side window.

Back here you're going to get that single quarter window and that's another design feature built into this new nissan z the silver finish is interesting when I saw this in the virtual presentation this is what I told you when I saw it in the virtual presentation. I didn't love it, but I actually like the brushed aluminum. Finished, it really cuts through the black with the yellow on the rear fender very well and really looks like a samurai sword blade like it's going to cut through the competition with that Z badge back where it belongs in the rear pillar area and shape. that the rear end just widens let's go down and take a look at the rear wheel and the setup here just like I said the brushed aluminum looks absolutely stunning it's so stylish to design with the huge rear brakes even on the rear and then as we go. towards the rear I think the way they did the rear glass is perfect so you'll have the glass section here this section is gloss black coming out of the roof and it's part of that connection to the Japanese 240z and everything what they called it.

They still call it the beautiful lady z, which is why we see that insignia here, so that will be interesting. This is another area that will have the US version on the back, but I love the z badge and then as we go down, we're taking that taillight design off the 300 zx and they brought it back perfectly. This is another area where I didn't 100% understand the direction they were going, but the way they made the taillights actually mimics the shape of the grille so you have that connection there and you have it with the connection to the 300zx with that design the Nissan badge looks good and then as we go down the carbon fiber lower rear diffuser it's very interesting how this will play out in production but you do it.

I have that diffuser at the bottom. I'm looking into what they did to the exhaust with the little holes they cut around the edge. Nice cut of eyelashes, very wide, very elegant, very z. Let's move on, though let's go inside and see what. There are things in store for this, let's call it the

For the money, let's go to the door panel. Now you'll see some connections to the current 370z and 350z, but you know what level they raised it to. I love the gunmetal gray finish. You still have the vents in the door. but as you take down the leather, the yellow stitching and that alcantara material, an absolutely sporty, sexy, small car in the door pocket, maybe a mooncake or two and a bottle of milk to wash it down, we have the Bose sound system, reaches the dashboard, yes. It looks familiar, but the good news is that you have plenty of room in front.

The three gauges that we have, of course, boost pressure, you'll get, of course, battery voltage and turbo. speed, I'm really glad they kept the gauges and I'm glad they stayed away from any kind of digital, analog is sexy, they got their individual hoods with some stitching, look how they made the A/C vents, just like the shape Of the grill. You better believe it. Working touch screen. I love the style. Look. even the air conditioning vents, the way they light up, you have the start and stop button and then guess what that six-speed manual transmission is that separates it from the rest of the pack with the logo stitching and a cup holder, but you know what I'm not drinking in my old electronic brake z. I see some touches with the coin, but you know what I'm looking at further because there is that connection with the coin seats, typical of a sports or racing car.
