Camaro zl11 let's talk a little bit about Camaro Camaro was Chevy's answer to the Ford Mustang over the years they fought back and forth with all of this and I'm talking about

every

thing that Chevrolet It has learned not only street performance race

track

, but road performance as well. this zl1 1le is

every

thing so when you get into a family mas chevrolet and you want to get a supercharged

camaro

you can go with the stock zl1 setup which would be a great car for a person who wants extreme street performance if you want some if you are a

track

person and when I say track I mean track, you want something that is a track

weapon

that will make you outperform cars from Ferrari, Porsche, Lamborghini etc. then this is the box you want to check.

Outside of that it's a one le option box it's all about handling and braking and aero performance because under that hood with that carbon fiber heat extractor you're still looking at 650 horsepower 650 pound-feet of torque out of that v8 supercharged like the standard ZL and just like the zo6 Corvette but as you can see wrapped around that body are some special niceties that will make Batman want this car let's go ahead and dive right into the front of this Camaro zl1 1le ¿ what are we going to see let's look at the dive plans you can see the addition of all the aero adjustments that have been made to help produce downforce on the front end of this car this is something you find on race cars, awesome, the scoops, imap, Tom zooms in and shows you that. these scoops are functional deep down there are radiators this car has multiple radiators to cool that 650 horsepower engine doing that track day lap after lap after lap is going to generate a lot of heat but across this big front splitter all the way to through that massive opening now what i love about the

2019

zl1 1le compared to every other 2019 camaro is they didn't mess with the front end the front end looks like a 2018 i love the zl1 badging and you got that float, I remember. the float i first appeared on the 2014 camaro z28 that opens inside the bowtie the chevrolet bowtie allows even more air to flow through it so sinister the amazing new headlights and everywhere you look just scream i want to go fast and this I'm telling you it looks like Batman would

it or I wouldn't mind getting it on the hood you can see the flat black really works well now with that box you're going to get him a flat black hood it's an added option to the carbon fiber package of the competition is beautiful though worth it if you want to go to extremes with your ZL one one loves the badge on the hood really reminds me of those days of muscle car bugs in the late sixties really hits the spot bespoke as we go along you can see how functional everything is here beautiful wheels 19 inch wheel these are forged not cast aluminum so will be stronger and will be less light rotating mass will speed up steering massive rotors aluminum hats so It's two piece rotors that will help with cooling, it's got a Brembo six piston caliper fitted to this with an le badge under the front fenders and rear and everything else is special suspension gear just for this car, so it obviously has Chevy's Magna Ride suspension which is a great suspension but it's been tuned like no other to make sure you're going to get maximum performance out the rear sorry from the front and rear of this car but just amazing, every time i look at this i am drawn to that black paint as we go down the side.

This is all standard Camaro. you can see how it cuts out then widens out again to the rear let me real quick im on i know tom is going to

me crazy but let's get back real quick to this tire so this is a 305 rim on the front ie 305 There are a few cars in this batch that don't even have 305 S in the rear when we get to the rear, although it's still all about Brembo calipers, so you're going six-piston, these are four-piston. 325 wide so remember when you look at a tire and see how it says 325 that's the width 30 is going to be the sidewall height and this is a 19 inch wheel and tire setup Zr is the speed rating amazing I love it flat black works great with that bonnet too tom show them what kind of rubber we will be working with here these are track specific tires yes you can drive them on the highway but these eagle f1 tires see not much tread tread. to get hot real quick while doing your track day talk about the track Dave what you'll need is some downforce hence this carbon fiber rear wing to pair well with your bonnet heat extractor this rear wing carbon fiber does it doesn't fit so I'm going to zonk it because it doesn't fit but this rear wing puts out 300lbs of downforce which is like god put his hands on the back of this car to make sure it these two rear tires Tom is showing you the width of these tires please how wide are those 325s that will make sure when you come out of that tight corner and hit the gas it will stick I love the rear diffuser the way it which is a flat black I wish it was a bit more I don't know if it's a race car and it seems to separate it from the Camaro SS.

You have the same quad tip exhaust, that active exhaust that you could make louder or quieter depending on what you want. Here are the new 2019 taillights I wish if it didn't have the horizontal line I think they would look a lot better badge zl1 I'm freaking out you have to go here take off your bow tie or at least take that and put it right on the bottom of the trunk here but as we work our way through such a sick machine front to back top to bottom let's go ahead open that hood and see the heart of the zl1 1le alright guys here we are we've got the hood open so wide it's been ripped off a zo6 and shoehorn on that Camaro that's that supercharged LT 4 engine 650 horsepower 650 pound-feet of torque if you're wondering why this supercharger on some cars is higher and on this one is just flat because actually the supercharger is inverted they did that on purpose so they want to have a 13 inch hood on the front of this that will make you know to blind your vision as you go through the corners wonderful setup with that power now with this car you're going to have to pay the gas consumer tax because in the city you're looking at about 13 miles to the gallon that gas consumer tax you're paying the government 1700 bucks for this but you know what at the end of the day you're looking at zero at sixty three point four seconds and the quarter mile and around 11 so obviously this car is going to be quick in a straight line but what this zl1 1le is all about is quick and taking the corners but let's go ahead and see if the bark of this zl1 1le is as much as the bite let's go ahead and get started okay guys it's time we were inside this 2019 zl1 1le this is badass and what does this badass cost nowadays.

MSRP on this one is around 72 grand let's see what we get check out the door panels Alcantara splashed all over you got Alcantara up on top of door panel red contrast stitching nicely dressed silver it's insane How some Alcantara and some red stitching makes a Camaro door look so much better as we transition in we get more of that beautiful Alcantara on top of the dash although it's still that hard plastic. I'm surprised that this section should at least be updated with something a bit smoother. There's our infotainment system. They have it tilted. It's supposed to help with shine.

Some people don't like the angle, they say it's a little cumbersome to navigate, but obviously with your navigation and everything it works just like any of the other General Motors products we show you here in radios. slim and sleek in the air conditioning controls what I love about Camaros is that you use the outer ring of the vent to adjust the temperature and it shows up on the screen obviously you're going to have dual climate control you have your blower switch right here on the hub so it's something that's a little bit different and other things than other cars here's that fancy shift transmission this thing this gearbox is so awesome the six gears short throws Alcantara on the trunk Alcantara on the zl1 shift knob on the one above with the red, all the numbers are very well done.

I love this gearbox so much it's amazing. I want to upload it. Valentine's Day gift. This is how I love this gearbox. Center console. harder plastic. it's a bit of an odd place you've got the Alcantara on the side knee pads here so when you're a passenger and you're flying around your favorite race track you're not going to hit a hard plastic so you get the Alcantara there you have the button mode selector obviously to cycle through the different modes the leather on the armrest is tough but who cares to really rest your arm on this car and eventually wrap it in these recaro seats this is amazing with heating and ventilation i love the recaro i love it the zl1 badge i love all the piping the seams the material the bolster are some of the most amazing seats I've ever sat in obviously it's going to be power assist so it adjusts to your body before you turn them around fast laps and then it also has the red of course if you have a car like this it has the red seatbelts which means it's ready for business nothing different about the headliner so the standard Camaro headliner would be nice to see Alcantara so I'll zomp that but that would have been a nice touch but why don't you come to this ending and I'll show you the business side.

Come on, alright guys, at the right time we're behind the wheel of this sinister black l.e. that zl1 with that added option now new for 2019 probably the biggest thing about this car is that you can get it with the 10 speed automatic which we know is a great transmission that will make you very fast but there's nothing like rowing for your count gearbox like this car i love how the seat fits me at six feet tall you got some rubber and aluminum pedal down there i would like to see a bigger dead pedal i'm deep in that dead pedal because remember the point of a dead pedal ain't just a place to rest your foot but i'm telling you right now, when you're in a turn with 300lbs of downforce in the rear, you're gonna want to lean on, hug yourself, Alcantara on the steering wheel, zl1 badging right here .

I wish they had done it in carbon fiber, that would have been a nice touch. I love the design of the gauges. Analog tachometer. Analog speedometer. push all that good stuff then you could do a start timer I mean this car has so many different features it could go through all your different navigation audio everything there is some oil temp you can keep scrolling down oil pressure voltage Battery Transmission Fluid Temperature That's important when you're doing those track days, tire temperature is not just tire pressure, but tire temperature as well. Ok oh one last thing paddles you're probably wondering Joe why are there paddles on a manual transmission car?

You don't have to worry about being toe-toed and making your toe-down shift. You can focus on your marks and the car will do it for you. If you want to turn it off you just press the paddle which is a nice touch my only worry about that some aggressive tracks what if you accidentally hit it and you didn't know right away and then you downshift and drop the clutch hmm I don't know if I want to be in the car with you but you're gonna be in the car with us because guess what we're taking this le for a spin hop in let's go we're in the twenty nineteen camaro zl1 one le the clutch is as light as a feather in these cars it's amazing You think it would be a nuisance, but it's not a little wine coming out of that supercharger.

I love the feel of the steering wheel in my hand. Shifter throws are so short over these bumps. too bad too bad kind of rough I mean it's going to be bouncy for sure but I feel planted you've got a wonderful prompt display there but I think it's cool that we can take it down this bumpy road just to show you Hey what is this really street capable? So smooth out the throttle limb with that supercharger, it's different than a turbo so the power will be pretty instantaneous because the supercharger is being driven by the engine.

The downside to that is that it takes some power to turn the supercharger on, but hey, 650Horsepower that's pretty amazing but this gearbox is really nice and I'm telling you these recalls are probably the best I've ever sat in just a really nice driving car. I mean this is the last Camaro for the max I mean this is even more than a Corvette Oh it drives awesome awesome lemme go ahead and roll over it here Wow listen to that downshift left hand man I'm being a little bit cautious 'cause remember those tires are really for the track you want to warm them up a bit if you can see them pulling away drop the clutch nice and smooth second gear easy third gear you got a lot of torque to pull trust me i could promise you wow this car is just awesome here we go raw on the gas brake pedal feel great modulation great hear the rev match auto downshift just blindsided a supercharger this car just begs to be pushed beg an awesome machine from chevrolet and to be honest we hit the 72k price point wise I mean that's a lot of performance for the money on this thing and this gearbox feels like it's a Trans Am race car that's how good it feels The steering wheel response is amazing i feel like my frontal lobe is stuck to the tarmac that's how i feel with those front tires and the actual steering of the car so that's really amazing and then my amygdala remembering that your center of emotions right now is out of control, it's a bit of everything.

Just combined Wow the brakes feel so amazing and even as I said in these tough times the car isn't too bad when it comes to hitting those potholes. I don't want to drive this car back to my family's Chevrolet. I think we should. go a little more ready for the game Auto Rev nice you can hear the stones being picked up from the sticky tires thats what you will get these tires arent going to last long for you thats for sure but you are going to get the stick when you feel good really wonderful the field let me go ahead and drop it on the second twist of the throttle I'm unbelievably believable that's all I have to say and when you hit the brakes I'm telling you it's a powerful feeling in this car you can feel them bite Those rotors, calipers just slow you down, awesome and the supercharger line is a nice added touch. match and like I said you could turn it off turn it on from the paddles I wish there was a little twisty section of road right now to really bring this car down because that's what it deserves it doesn't deserve this straight away drive here that's for Sure, but still very docile, that's the best part.

I drive this car and Friday traffic and the car is very easy to live with in general you just have to be a little careful with the grip on those tires and you'll definitely want to warm up on them that's for sure before you start romping around but when it's all about clutch the clutch is light as a feather the rev match auto downshift makes things easier just pulling out is so easy with that clutch first gear second gear nice and smooth that's another wonderful thing it's that this car is so smooth that stepping on the throttle to this right hand has been believable you can really feel the traction control kick it in trying to stop those rear tires from spinning because I mean 650 horsepower on those track days basically rims ready it's crazy it really is crazy this thing is one hell of a machine that's for sure all of that ended in the party downshift Wow let's do a quick U-turn here easy to see how easy this is to drive though that's the it It's the fun part and the slow stuff is so easy to drive that's the crazy thing so easy to drive in first gear I'm not even going to fly that I'm not that crazy I feel the traction control do it's thing I feel planted in this right hand.

Man hit the brakes, really, really nice, feedback from the front is awesome. I don't know how many of you played slot cars as kids that's what you feel in this once you start picking up that pace and get an empty road in front of you this is a slot car for the highway that's what You'll feel, amazing feeling, visibility is your typical Camaro so I'm not even going to touch that because you know what, because this is one.
