In fact, let me clarify: the

iron

farm up there, the thing in the sky that is working and is finished, and yes, it has done very, very well. We have a lot of iron, I mean this here and then if you saw the last episode, yeah, we also put a lot of iron underwater. Yes, when it comes to iron, we are doing well, but when it comes to an iron farm. That looks good, well, it looks good, but this, uh, this is definitely, by far, the ugliest thing in the world, other than maybe the parrot that's right there, the parrot is definitely the ugliest thing, the second ugliest thing in the world, definitely not a good thing.

More Interesting Facts About,

iron fog cave terraform tricks the minecraft guide tutorial lets play ep 48...

You see, when I was setting up the planning for the mermaid farm, I had a vision and that vision for the iron farm involved a sweet

cave

and really cool looking water, this is not blue water, that would be too normal, no, definitely no, and then an island. in the middle of where we get our iron from, basically the vision involved a custom

cave

, so today we're going to do just that and create a sweet cave down here that will have like purple water that will glow. we're going to have a waterfall here that's going to be really cool, we're going to

terraform

it, it's going to look like lush caves meets Minecraft 1.16, yeah it's going to be really cool, we've got some big moves to make so we might as well, jump right in to the project and start, you'll see what I did there, I jumped into the cave, I jumped under the project hahaha, you see, you see so clever, anyway,

terraform

ing, let's start there, what is terraforming, I'm pretty sure, like 99.9, sure what is it. something we've already defined and talked about in the series, but in case you haven't, maybe I'm wrong, terraforming is making the earth look good, it's transforming the earth, it's basically building the earth and build it right, that's something that's actually really very easy if you have the basics, if you know the basic

tricks

and the process, the technique, then you can make any part of your Minecraft world look like a million billion times. better.

Now there are many different types of terraforming, I mean you have like Water terraforming Garden terraforming General earth terraforming and then today's topic, oh boy, cave terraforming, today we will follow some basic terraforming steps to create the custom layer most attractive and spicy in this entire world. Such big brains. Today's terraforming steps are custom. cave terraforming steps cave terraforming step number one the way you need to get first, whether you're starting with a cave that's already generated as a minecraft cave here or you're just going to go ahead and dig one you need to get the shape is right first, if the shape is not right then the cave won't be visible at the moment as far as the shape goes, it's really your call, I mean if you want a big open cavern like the one I'm going to.
iron fog cave terraform tricks the minecraft guide tutorial lets play ep 48
For today, then make a big open cavern if you want something a little tighter and smaller, like pretty close to the normal Minecraft environment, like maybe something like this, then leave it like that, don't worry too much about the shape, but discover your shape and then create your shape what I want to do is create a cave that widens a little bit more as we go down so you can see what the land is like up there and then it curves inwards so that curve is a nice curve here more or less the same this wall this wall looks good but it will be a little different we will have a waterfall falling there because we have the river right there so we won't worry about that yet too much and then this wall here now when it comes to the stone From here on down, honestly, I already feel pretty good about it.
I feel like the stone is good, we can alter the shape a little more as we work. in the project, but overall the general shape is pretty correct, what I think we're going to end up doing is going up top and grabbing the dirt and honestly maybe throwing it out because the flatness at the top is definitely not good when Flat terraforming areas are generally not the best, I mean, look at this flat area, it looks so vlad, plain and boring, and yeah, that's definitely not the vibe, not at all, no, you want things to look well and, in my opinion, it is the easiest way.
To make things look nice, add a little bit of depth to whatever you're doing, whether it's building or just terraforming or whatever, and things will instantly start to look a lot better, so let's go ahead and try curving this here, uh. but to be clear, I don't want a perfect circle, that's definitely not what I'm going to do today, so let's go ahead and maybe take some of this in a little bit more and then, fortunately, we're working with a system of caves here, so there's a cave system that runs through here or there and you know, I think we could leave that and work with it and build off of it and maybe even incorporate it into the final product, I'm not 100 sure about that, but maybe, it looks like I dug a hole in the ceiling up there, okay, we're definitely going to have to cover it up, but here you see what I just did with the dirt, yeah, it looks a lot better now, the black variants really don't do.
Worry about it, still in step number one you want to achieve the perfect shape. The perfect shape for your cave is definitely the first major building block and perhaps even the most important part of your custom cave. Now luckily I have that Haze Beacon which is absolutely amazing but at the same time it does and I hate to say it but it makes it a little bit more challenging here because if I go too fast I just take off the whole wall and if I take off the whole wall so it's going to be a little difficult to see here.
I want to keep things full. I don't want a bunch of random holes. That's definitely not what I'm going for, so yeah, something a little more. So, it's definitely more the shape and vision that I'm trying to create right now, when you're working on the shape of your cave, don't worry too much about the blocks on the wall, I mean, over there. It looks very very bad as long as you can see the shape don't worry about the blocks we'll fix the blocks later and later I mean now so the shape of the cave I would say it's starting to look . pretty good over here, I decided to push this corner out a little bit, it's going to be hard to tell because I mean it's just a cave, it's going to look a little bit the same, but yeah, I pulled this area out now, big cave, terraforming, depth of the tip, I always pass. death is always the first big starting key, but let's say you have two different types of blocks and they're mixing together weirdly, so maybe you have a transition from dirt to stone, so try creating a ledge like I did here to help blend that transition. make it a little smoother, you see that ledge over there, the one that looks like a ravine from vanilla Minecraft, well that ledge is actually doing a great job, it's perfectly blending the dirt layer with the stone layer, I mean, check it out on On this side where I didn't really do anything because all this dirt is probably going to disappear, that looks very, very strange, very flat, definitely not good and then here, actually, I haven't gotten to that yet, yeah, no.
It looks good, but anyway the first thing you need to do is determine your overall shape, if it's not perfect don't worry, you can definitely change it later, after you determine your shape it's time to go in with different blocks now that It's about coming in with different blocks, first you need to know what you are trying to create. I mean, are you trying to create like a jungle cave, a cold cave, an icy cave? What are you trying to do? In my case, I'm trying. To create a kind of jungle cave, what kind of blocks do I want to use for the wall?
And the wall part is really important. Well, I'm definitely thinking stone, so it will look good on the cobblestone of the cave wall in the jungle. Then also some moss covered cobblestones would look great here too, but I think I'm going to run out of vines so I'll have to use this a little less than I'd like, probably andesite is too. gray that will look great here I want to keep the walls of this cave gray, sure, another block I could bring here I don't know if I'll do it today, but basalt basalt could also work here, but I don't know.
I know if it's exactly the vibe I want to go for, also the Blackstone Blackstone chunks might look pretty cool, but not exactly the vibe I want, so just a couple of ideas for you guys, so block variation randomizes the blocks, this one It's always the fun part. I really enjoy this step, so I want to make this cave look much better right now, it looks quite nice. I need to add a little bit of depth here to make sure it looks better and then things like that definitely need to go, so what I'm going to do here is jump in here and start digging up the things that I don't like so that the diorite, no, It can definitely disappear.
I don't even like saying the name. I feel bad, I'm sorry. If I scared you by saying the name, take it off or at least the first layer and then come back with a different block, so for me, cobblestones and we'll actually mix in some mossy cobblestones here too, right now. It comes with the solid blocks, but the zala blocks are not where you want to stay, definitely not right now. Let's say you have a cave with a couple of big chunks of granite and a couple of big chunks of diorite and maybe you've never terraformed. like this before well those chunks of granite and diorite can be actually very useful for you if you are trying to find the perfect balance of materials like if you don't want to go overboard then try changing a chunk not like a new block like maybe diorite to cobblestone and then the other piece to another new block like granite to antisight doing that kind of trick can really help you determine the balance because of course like with everything in Minecraft or everything you do I don't want to overdo it definitely don't overdo it no definitely uh 100 that's one of those things that's easier said than done.
I mean, you won't necessarily know you've gone too far until you step back and the wall looks crazy. If you have soil in your cave and you are going to leave it in the cave, try mixing coarse soil into those patches of soil. Coarse dirt looks amazing and looks a little different than dirt depending on exactly what you are leaving behind. ground or adding them back to your wall is also potentially a good idea. Now I think I'm going to do that, but I'll keep it pretty low because we have a lot of dirt up here, the cave is deep but it's not.
Deepest in the world, if I came back here and added a piece of dirt in the middle, I feel like it would make it feel even shorter, so the dirt will stay close to the bottom, but remember, obviously, when setting up a cave, it's your cape, yes, definitely, meaning you can make it however you want, you don't have to just use stone, you can make a very, very colorful cape by adding terracotta stripes here, something I would really like. I really wish I could, we need to find a table, but yeah, you definitely don't have to limit yourself to the old gray tones.
Okay, so far so good. I mean, I'm pretty happy with this cave. This is what I have. I have many. and a lot of cobble, a little bit of andesite there too, but the cobble definitely pops, so I want a little more weight on the cobble here. I have an elevated area. I think this entire area will be excavated as if it were dirt. at that point we're going to have water falling in this spot right here, so we're going to have like a little raised pond and then it's going to fall somewhere like probably here and then down here we're going to have like a really really weird custom pond, but we'll talk more about that in a minute. , there is one more step when it comes to the block, so that step involves stairs and slab walls, so check this out if I come back here with maybe that many slabs. or something like that, also a little bit of stairs, don't overuse them and finally, on the walls, we can mix these things up and make this area look even better.
I mean, look, we've got a tight salad there, it's not quite stalactite from Minecraft 1.17. but it's a little bit better here maybe we could do like a slab right there and then we could take maybe a ladder and have it come out to have this little ledge there definitely much more interesting than just all these simple blocks if you come back here with the parts smallersmoke down there some iron ore yeah I went crazy with the iron ore here ah now here we go any minute we're going to see that purple okay here we go although the biggest thing is the purple water mist, the liquid oozing out here is check it out that's exactly what I expected look at it it looks so amazing I'm so excited about this look at that aha that's like a pool of purple liquid and then we have the crimson wood up here, which I don't even notice I realized at the time, but it goes pretty well with everything, that's a nice compliment, if we jump here we can go ahead and finish the iron farm, so the hoppers are still exposed, I want.
This should stay pretty tight, pretty small, so I'm thinking maybe there's more crimson signs here that might look nice, but a little more balm here, with these crimson sides, I almost used all of my crimson wood, so I'm definitely going to need to make a crimson, warped wood farm very, very soon here, but here we go, that looks good and then I thought maybe to finish this off, I'm not too sure about this, but we could make black stone stairs here, but the problem with the black stone stairs they make them much thicker and bigger so I don't know about the black stone stairs.
I was also thinking maybe maybe fences, but I didn't realize that the fences wouldn't connect, so maybe not the fences. I don't even know about the black stone stairs there, uh, but the signs for sure. I think the signs look pretty good. Actually, let's go ahead and take all these stairs, so there we go, the iron farm collecting area is finished and for The Way Yeah, I went crazy with the iron ore down here I wanted it to look like a deposit iron or something like that. There are lanterns everywhere. We should have zero blocks that can spawn in this area, which is perfect and then I decided to do something like that. a little camp here so we have a bed, a campfire table and then the stone cutter, not that I'll ever need it here but I thought why not, then here we have storage for the poppies so I was thinking Maybe eventually we could just set up an automatic poppy removal machine and turn it all into bone meal, but I thought for now I'd like to stock up on this stuff, so I'm going to move all the poppies from the iron farm to here from Occasionally. a while and store them there, the iron will probably end up being stored in the storage building every time we get to it here, just a small piece of dirt looks pretty good and every now and then that's all right now, I have vines now .
There's a lot of undergrowth here, I don't know if I really like the vines here, but I think what I'm going to do is leave the vines there for now. The last place I'd like to go in today's episode is upstairs. clock tower I would like to see if we can see the iron farm from the clock tower and if we can what would it look like oh yeah can we look at that look you can see like the purple oh that looks so cool. I'm like obsessed with this construction if you couldn't tell, yeah, that's really nice and it also looks like fog in there, that's perfect, you know, which is also perfect, comment of the day, today's comment, it's a question, It's a question about time passing or at least the second part of the comment was here is the first part of the comment, although why don't I do time lapses lately?
Well honestly lately it's been because I've been building a lot in front of the camera, like in today's episode, working on the custom cave, the iron farm collection area, yeah I did a lot of stuff in front of the camera, same with the clock tower episodes, same with the bridge episode, same with a lot of the episodes lately, I've just been doing it on camera and honestly, I feel that way when I do it. the building on camera probably shouldn't go off camera and then do a time lapse of more or less the same thing, I feel like if you guys watch me do the building on camera then it doesn't make sense to do a time lapse of even more construction than what same, you know what I mean, I don't know, that's really the big reason why I haven't done the q a time lapses lately and also the comments of the day, so we do the comment of the day. which is like a question every episode, so of course I love doing the time lapses and asking more questions, but I figure the commentary of the day makes up for the lack of the time lapses, I don't know what they do. you think let me know and those elites are great brain moves for custom caves in minecraft.
