iPhone XS Water Test! Finally Waterproof!?

Jun 04, 2021
Now this is the one I'm excited about. I have another iPhone 10 Max and will do a

water

test

. This time I'll be a little more creative with our

water

proof

test

, but ultimately I want to see Apple's tests. Wait, on the iPhone 10s max they said two meters at 30 minutes and that's an IP 68 water resistance rating when I heard that, I think I know I was a little surprised that Apple went to that extent, when Apple does something, They definitely do. as best you can, so have a new iPhone 10s max here, this one is 512 gigabytes because I couldn't drown it with just 64 gigabytes anyway.

Honestly, I don't even think we're going to break it down in this video, so I have nothing to worry about and a disclaimer: they definitely won't guarantee that it will survive all those tests they talked about. You can take it to a swimming pool. You can take it to the ocean. They tested it in salt water, but they will. I don't guarantee it, so keep that in mind, if you drown it, you know you'll get over it. Apple will not replace it with a new device under Apple's care, for sure, but not without it and, by the way, as a competitor, the Galaxy Note 9.

More Interesting Facts About,

It also has a water resistance of ip68, but only to 1.5 meters, so in theory it should be more durable than the Galaxy Note 9, and it has very similar finishes here, i.e. metallic copper versus Apple's gold, both beautiful. Our equipment was not designed for phones of this size. they're not going to fit perfectly, I had to stack them and yeah, thanks for starting that off right, so I guess the best I can right now they're both there, they're at 5 and a half feet, they're just going to give. It's about 10 to 15 minutes and we see where we are.

I don't expect anything to happen. This is kind of a preliminary test just to make sure there are no defects in the case or the seals or anything before we dig in and chop away. Waters okay so getting close to 25 minutes here it doesn't look like anything has happened at all there has been movement with bubbles kind of floating around not sure I doubt it's coming from inside the phones or something but it looks good , it's alive and blinking, you know? bleed on the screen, which usually happens here, some guys wet and dry them off, let's see how much water comes out of the ports here, definitely a good amount on the note, I mean, if the note can do it and has a stylus, that It's a big deal and BTW it's soaked so it works straight from the tube.

No humidity is seen in the chambers. None of these sensors can detect that something has gone wrong. The higher rated iPhone also works out of the box. The chambers are very cold, so he now appears unharmed. We need to take it to the next level, so we'll go out in the boat and get some real depth here, some action in the water and see what changes when we introduce some motion stuff because it'll be like jumping. the pool, you know, isn't sitting there statically, so let's get out of here. I miss these good old days. Do you think I still am?
We're fine, so I want to get in the water. Honestly this is going to be a little difficult and the best thing I thought of without covering any of the ports was to put some of these plugs in the back and then secure them with zip ties just to be safe because I want to have some movement in the water, I mean just play. the water, I know no one is going to drink this, you know, while wakeboarding or wake surfing, whatever, but it would be a good test of more water movements to see if water gets in that way.
I highly doubt that will be the case so I think this is What I'm going to do this is just hold this ring it doesn't cover any ports or anything just for safety because I've lost items in this river before and I won't run again that risk. It's the right time to prepare. up and let's get into the water snakes it's not that bad so I just got out it's still summer well not really it's summer okay let's see what the iPhone 10 max can do go ahead what a beautiful day . I love this first time I feel.
I'm confident enough to do this kind of thing without a case on my Tennis Max phone, that's awesome, so see what you've got. I would have lost this if it wasn't for the zip tie, everything came loose as if this thing didn't hold on. Well, it's the pressure of the tight zipper that's holding you back, but let's see, let's take a look. I was able to use the screen while in the water, even there were no signs of water damage. The cameras worked well, flawlessly, so I was falling a little bit. I was in the water it wasn't too deep there wasn't much pressure but there was a lot of movement and during this I did a really good job so now I'm going to go ahead and tie this to our pro wakeboarder and what happens?
You know, just in case the zip ties don't cost anything, so we have two, two straps, one two there. I think he'll be fine. Jump. Steele, you didn't lose it. Were you still there? Okay, so here are these bad boys getting them inside. of the contraption I'll even put the bottom up here, so I say we'll double the manufacturer's rating to 12 feet beyond 12 times. I really don't think anyone is going to identify, there it goes and it's going to sink fast 10 feet here and 12 feet here about 10 minutes lift it up to see what happens okay 10 minutes I have good faith that they've both survived oh that's pretty deep now obviously , longer periods of time maybe more damage would occur but I can see the no test survived the note has no moisture in the camera so the note 9 responds the iPhone wakes up immediately 12 feet and 10 minutes no problem so if you leave drop your phone you know any of these at the bottom of a very deep pool get it out well You don't want to leave it there for a long time but this has exceeded my expectations.
I'm really amazed. I guess we'll drop it one more time to the end to see how deep it goes. It's like 35 feet. How deep is it? It says just for fun 38 feet, okay, so it's 10 feet 15 feet 20 feet 30 feet and here's the 40 foot marker oh, it just hit the ground at 40 feet a little bit more something pulling on it, I'm pulling it up , that's the sketch, so that's like a minute at 40 feet, oh, that's a lot of depth, let's see what happens if you drop your phone at this depth, we probably won't get it anytime soon, that's definitely a lot of pressure, okay, that It was very fast, oh yes, the note 9. is corrupted, look at that man, water got in.
This one is new too. I was really hoping it wouldn't break, but it seems like the screen is going crazy, so it's most likely 100% water damaged. A ghost is beginning. shutdown rebooted while iPhone is still alive and still working ip68 works great. I'm pretty sure Apple underestimated that it might even have a slightly higher rating for a phone that's pretty crazy. I mean, I just sank it to 45 feet and I still look at it. live still working no signs of damage yet anyway thanks for watching guys had a lot of fun making this stay tuned for more videos peace
