iPhone 11: My Honest Opinion After Two Months

iPhone 11: My Honest Opinion After Two Months
like a lot of other tech youtubers I was relatively unimpressed with Apple's iPhone 11 launch keynote night almost almost didn't buy one but I took a chance and I'm really glad I did because the iPhone 11 is not a revolutionary phone not by any means but it does a lot of things right this is

honest

ly one of my favorite phones that Apple is released in a long time and it all starts with those cameras these are the best cameras I've seen on a smartphone thus far the footage you can get from the cameras on this phone can be nothing short of breathtaking at times the 120-degree ultra wide camera is super fun to shoot with and allows you to get some incredible perspectives of the world around you while it isn't stabilized like the other two cameras and it tends to be a little bit softer in comparison the wide field of view more than makes up for it in my

opinion

shots that are taking on the ultra wide while walking might be a little bit jumpy if you don't have something like a gimbal but if you can stabilize it you can get some awesome dolly like shots the other rear wide-angle camera is even better in terms of sharpness and it is optically stabilized but you do lose out a little on the wow factor when it comes to the sheer field of view on the ultra wide the selfie camera has also been upgraded and is now a little bit wider and can shoot 4k and up to 60 frames per second making all three cameras 4k 60 capable thank you Apple it makes a great vlogging...

camera since you can see yourself on the screen and talk directly to the camera although I prefer the look of the ultra wide on a gimbal to get that extra field of view and a more stabilized shot if you want a phone that has nearly perfect vlogging capabilities look no further when using the default camera app the phone does a great job of automatically adjusting white balance shutter speed and ISO to compensate for the light and dark portions of the image but I much prefer to control all of that myself with something like filmic Pro so that you don't get that noticeable shift in the image when moving from say a bright scene to like a darker scene in terms of overall usability the default camera app is fine but I think it needs a serious overhaul it lacks any of the features a more seasoned photographer or videographer would want like you know ISO control shutter speed control white balance control and it kind of sucks to have to buy a third-party app to get the most of the cameras on this phone that said if you just want to take some awesome photos every now and without too much of a hassle and fooling around with settings the iPhone 11 does that very well the portrait mode on both feet wide and selfie cameras are seriously stunning and it does a very good job at rendering a believable image with smooth bokeh it does mess up some of the time though it's not perfect by any means a lot of the times it will blur out the edges of your hair or your ears or other things...

that really should be in focus you do miss out on the telephoto camera found on the 11 Pro and 11 Pro max but it hasn't been a big deal for me yet to be

honest

the ultra wide camera provides a much greater value in my

opinion

anyway plus let's be

honest

that camera module that's just mean fuel man while Apple seems to go on and on about the cameras in their keynote it isn't the only notable upgrade over the last year's 10r we also see a performance boost with apple's new a 13 bionic CPU and an extra gig of ram bringing up to 4 gigabytes total whoo not exactly psyched about Apple's decision to continuously put less RAM and their phones compared to you know just about every other manufacturer on the market but the iPhone 11 handles most tasks fine without any hiccups the only time that low ram becomes a problem is when you open a lot of apps the phone doesn't slow down or anything per se but it does close previously open apps which can be a little annoying every now and again other than that the performance has been just peachy it's no surprise that it comes out on top of last year's 10r by over 200 Geekbench five points making the 1111 Pro and 11 Pro max the fastest

iphone

to date since they share the same CPU and RAM unfortunately the same praise can't be given to its design it shares a nearly identical look from all the 10 series phones from last year's 10 our to the 2017 iPhone 10 Apple seems to be sticking to their 3-year...

design refresh which likely makes next year's iPhone 12 the phone to get the new looks the iPhone 11 shares the exact same 6.1 inch LCD display as last year's 10 R and it is equally as boring the resolution is still 1792 by 828 at 326 PPI making it a sub 1080p display and yes Apple deserves the flack it gets for that low res screen especially given the fact that much cheaper phones from you know years and years ago have much higher resolution displays with all that said in real life use it really doesn't matter you can put your screen right up to your eyeballs and you're still not going to see the individual pic text is slightly less sharp than the text on a display that has you know a higher resolution but to be completely

honest

this is a very well-built LCD with excellent colors and contrast and sharpness that is just fine enough to not complain about are you gonna get more vibrant colors and ink your blacks on an OLED panel yeah of course but I don't think the average person will care all that much while the notch was also a point of contention at one point not even that really bothers me anymore yeah it gets in the way sometimes when you're watching a video but 99% of the time you don't even notice it speaking of that notch Apple has claimed that face ID is now 30% faster than before and is able to recognize you better when the phone is angled more sharply the first part is true it does seem a lot faster that second part though not so much I...
haven't really noticed that it can recognize me when the phone is at odd angles and still won't unlock when I'm sitting at my desk I still have to do that really awkward lean in thing to get the phone to see me so the design isn't all bad though there are a few things that Apple has improved upon this year over the last year's models for starters the entire back of the phone is machine from one piece of glass not exactly something you know a normal person would care about but I think it's pretty cool apple claims that this makes it the most durable glass on a smart phone yet but I've got my doubts that that'll make a huge difference when you drop it onto a hard enough surface so you know get a case there are also several new colors this year but I'm not really fond of any of them most people seem to like the minty green but if I had to choose it would be the product red I guess or the lavender that I'd go for I got stuck with the black one though find out how that happened in the video up here another thing that Apple improved this year is the water resistance the iPhone 11 is ip68 water resistant now up to two meters for 30 minutes the previous 10 R had a lower ip67 certification so the bump up is definitely welcome the 10r also had a smaller battery than the new 11 the 10 are being 29 42 and the 11 being 31 10 milliamp hours apple claims that this will get you up to an extra hour of usage on the 10 hour which is you know a bit of an...
arbitrary number but in my experience battery life is nothing to sneeze at at all it's leagues ahead of my old iPhone 10 and I can easily get a day and a half out of it without having to recharge it is without a doubt one of the best bones in terms of battery life I have ever tested to date the iPhone 11 does support 18 watt fast charging like it's more expensive brothers but Apple doesn't seem to want you to know about it because they still package that stupid five watt charging brick they've put in every iPhone box but like the past 10 years or something you can buy the USBC to lightning charger that comes standard with the iPhone 11 Pro and Pro max or you can use the just as fast but cheaper charger that I'll have linked in the description down below seriously go buy that thing don't buy the Apple thing that thing's expensive another upgrade that Apple talks about is their spacial Dobby at most speakers that are supposed to make you feel like you're inside the action yeah that's exactly how they described on their website in reality they sound like slightly better stereo speakers one is still bottom firing so it isn't as great as two front-facing stereo speakers but I will say that the new speakers are doing something different it's kind of hard to put your finger on if you move the phone you know closer and then further away you this sound changes in a weird way it does feel a little bit more immersive when it's close to...
your face in any case the bottom line is that the speakers on this phone are great especially since they're so small the sound they produce is loud and full and I have nothing really to complain about now let's talk about where the iPhone 11 fits into the competition at 700 bucks for the 64 gigabyte model this is one of Apple's cheapest iPhone releases yet it's cheaper than last year's 10r was it launched and it's a really good price for what you get out of this phone that said 700 bucks put you in 1 plus 7 Pro territory with that beautiful 90 Hertz 6.6 inch quad HD AMOLED display and under the screen fingerprint reader and top-notch performance without a notch at all see what I did there but that's an Android phone so if you want I owe s and you have absolutely no desire to own an Android at all and you have around you know $700 budget you have two really good options here the iPhone 11 and last year's 10 our app still sells the 10r but at a hundred bucks less than the iPhone 11 600 bucks that phone is still really really good and if you don't care about the new cameras it's probably your best choice for a new iPhone so after about two

months

I'm still very impressed with the iPhone 11 I really don't miss the extra couple of features that's found on the 11pro and 11pro Macs and I think for seven hundred bucks it's a really attractive phone to folks that want the latest and greatest from Iowa on a lower budget I've...
been downright forward by the cameras on this thing and while I don't really care for the stupid LCD display I'm gonna go ahead and recommend this one without any hesitation yes you should buy the iPhone 11 it's a great phone if you liked this video please give it a like and subscribe to support my channel and as always have a great day
