iPhone 11 & 11 Pro Laser Back Glass Fix! + Clear Mod

Feb 27, 2020
What's up, guys? Everything will be demonstrated here, so I want to make my first modding video. It's been a while on this video. I want to show you how to get a

clear

copy of your iPhone 11 or 11 Pro, but mainly how to repair the

glass

. I went

back

to Apple's latest iPhones using this machine, so I originally bought it in July to make the shiny Apple logo. I never used it, of course, it was all improvised. He made his video on the repair which was amazing. I would like to show you their updated process on the iPhone 11 and the 11 probe has a map on the

back

and I think it would be cool to see what they would look like without any color on the

glass

and if you can find access to this machine anywhere, it's very expensive you know , up to two and a half thousand dollars for the entire setup, then this would be a piece of cake, otherwise an iPhone 11 Pro max repair costs $600 and the amount goes down from there, but it is very, very expensive, so which essentially this machine measures the phone where it's at, let's go ahead and turn it on and use the

laser

, go ahead and outline, they've actually updated it with files for the 11 Pro and the 11, as you can see there's even more areas where the

laser

machine will not cut due to sensitive components inside and I would like to go through the process of replacing the back now of course before attempting this.

If you are a repair shop or have access to one of these machines I would 100% recommend getting some glass with enlarged camera holes, they actually just slide in so you don't have to break the lens, it's a very messy process . I've seen it on a different video, you would basically trim the edge of the lens and have to replace it very time consuming but with one of these it makes the job a lot easier and they cost around $20.00 so I think I'll start with iPhone 11 just in case and it's fully working, but I'm a little worried if something goes wrong.

More Interesting Facts About,

Not to get started on the 11pro, let's load the file and start burning it with the laser and this is usually something I've done by hand throughout the scrubbing in the past so this makes your job a lot easier and once we break this glass, we'll replace it with this edge again and see what we get. We're going to measure the thickness to focus the laser here. The machine will raise and lower depending on the height of the iPhone. Place it in this corner here and we have the iPhone. Diagram 11 is now loaded and I use the red light to go ahead and select all the functions and a little bit fainter, harder to see here in the black, but it will go ahead and avoid any of those dangerous touch points one, two, Three, oh, oh, I forgot.

When you turn on the extractor hood this creates a lot of fumes so as you can see it starts to remove all the paint and the natural beauty is revealed inside so one area this machine struggles with is around the lens and us. We'll have to run it a couple of times to make sure it gets all the adhesive. The lens area is very complicated and if you're using this machine, that's not how you're going to do it, usually the glass is all there. broken, so it will refract and not be as effective as this. I'm honestly surprised at how good it looks.

It's like smoked glass. I'm really excited to see the final result, but in case you have a broken back. You would want to run it a couple of times for anyone who has this machine or is looking to buy it. I could see it as a very valuable asset to any repair facility, so now we're checking the lens and surprisingly it still looks pretty good, but it burned some of the lens off because it's not there, it cut out a little bit of the lens, it's interesting , so you're doing a second pass to make sure you get all the adhesive.
Very surprised at how effective it is so far, I mean, in comparison. to the last process where you would have to physically scrape it or even liquid nitrogen. This is a walk in the park, oh, so it's actually burning part of the side. I feel like the diagram could be a little cleaner. Don't know. I really care about this phone, but if it went to a repairman and it was in there, you wouldn't know where to move it and the amazing thing is that the iPhone stays cool all the time, so there's no risk of overheating the battery or anything, It's a very efficient process Hey, it basically did three passes and you can see where all the adhesive was, put your tool in there and go ahead and remove the rest of the adhesive, remember we want this to break so when that happens in a second, don't there will be problem.
There we'll see, oh wow, that's tough glass, if it doesn't break, it'll work fine. We now go around the lens and remove the remaining glass, but overall this made an extremely difficult job much simpler, so this is a completely clean result. Honestly, it didn't turn out as pretty as I thought it would be better than my iPhone 10 and 10 s version, but it's still not as clean as I thought, so be careful when removing the glass so as not to break the wireless coil, so I actually recorded laser one of these pieces of glass then I had to clean and polish them, they didn't turn out too bad, but it's not something I would really like to show off on a daily basis, this is what the iPhone 11 looks like and this is where we decided. with v7000 glue, whether we want to put the

clear

cover on it, it dries clear or we use the replacement with the larger lens cut out and that of course will be seen, oh um, and you can complete your repair just like that, seriously, an amazing way to repair.
Your iPhone is much simpler, much cheaper than Apple's, of course, once you invest in the machine, but for repair shops it is an invaluable asset, so next, measure the iPhone 11 Pro, place it in your slot, try the laser and it goes out, so it's a little dimmer on the target and the mat makes a difference, you'll have to go through it a few times. I think to compensate for the refraction. I definitely noticed a difference in the mat. It is much harder for the laser to go through, so it makes many passes. and I expect it to come off so easily again when you break the back it will be much harder to remove the glass.
This is the best case scenario, where there are no chips or cracks, so it should be fair. easy and this one looks really good Wow, so even so it's a pretty good effect, it's like a stormtrooper iPhone, although all the sealing is compromised and the glue looks pretty good now that I prepared a completely transparent mat that I have To tell you this wasn't easy but I think this one will look a lot better because it keeps the Apple logo which is just shiny and not a real sticker on the back of the paint so that's cool.
I like what we are already seeing. what you wish inside your iPhone looked like this is what it actually looks like on the 11pro since it's not broken I can't lift the glass I have to break it I had to do it here we go and now we can get in there and it makes the job so much more easy since a lot of adhesive was burned off, but not all of the mat actually makes it very, very difficult for this to work like on 11, so it's going to take a lot of work on your part, even if it's a lot. of the adhesive is coming off, it's arguably not as effective as on a completely clear glass backing and that's my question at the beginning of this video is how much difference does the mat make and apparently quite a bit?
It makes repairs much more difficult, so around the lens it is much more difficult, this will require additional work. Be very careful not to damage any components, but the laser has a hard time penetrating here, so it will be a bit of muscle. So far so good I want to run it again to see what happens if it burns off some of the adhesive this way it's not clogged oh yeah so it peels off a little better ah okay yeah that wasn't a bad idea okay? I just finished cleaning this one, it was considerably harder to do than the iPhone 11 just because the adhesive was sticking a lot more to the body, the back of the map made it very difficult, so once you're at this point you'll want to grab your cover replacement. with the larger lens holes, apply the glue in the same pattern that Apple had, so a little bit up here and then one around the edges and you want to put the replacement cover right over the lenses, obviously you won't.
Be as water as it was before and so your iPhone is whole again, it's actually quite simple with this back cover that covers the lenses. I like them and the results. Now I'm going to keep mine clean so I don't stick. but the clear one actually looked pretty good. I think it looks better than the iPhone 11 version, it even has this shine and you actually keep the Apple logo with the matte finish quite good, but don't look at it too closely, but overall and the result of course, I liked it more on the iPhone 11 Pro, but it has a unique look.
I guess it's definitely not how you'd want your iPhone to look with the sticker, but even the real thing doesn't look that bad, guys, there it is. is the clear mod for the iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11, as well as the method to replace the glass. Thanks for watching, stay tuned for the next one.
