s fight im shooting three inches three shots my shoulder completely dislocated no doubt but its what i have to do to take these guys down that's the first dead bird on the site we got four we just need two more baby jump the rock you see that son homie ain't never had a duck jump like that that was a quick shot dude, that's number five, he was so lucky i shot it here i pulled the trigger. and it landed 30 yards away that was another helium you know my finger is stuck beyond belief right there it's sharp look how sharp that edge is so i put my finger on the trigger look oh open me up buddy , really took a chunk out of my fingers. i was wondering mate why does my finger hurt so much ok let's grab this bird i don't see anymore though oh we got a green one look at that guy real green wing look at him he's a very pretty boy.

I grabbed the one with a hole in it thinking it would leak and was trying to grab one for the team. kinda and like giving you the one that is not connected apparently this hole is not a leaky hole but it looks like the sun hasn't even risen this is crazy but the ducks really slow down after a while I recommend pool jet, you're shooting this guy, though with those I literally have blood on the gun right there, shooting practice like we did. a lot out of order for a while but i brought the big bank the regular 28 inch barrel uh whatever instead of the uh 20 and was going to have a pool blast session but he's huh what are you already knee deep or just shen? in the water we are getting close to knee so he is almost knee deep in the water because where is the hole in your knee or your gooch? the old knee where yeah oh yeah so it's got a hole in the knee so come on out here it's not that cold but you probably won't be comfortable. oh yeah his foot is soaked so let's pick up the lures we're going home though we're going to

these guys up we're going to try something I've done I haven't done on the canal. haven't done it in a while im going to try a little different let's try to make some jerky luckily we have some teal the old spoony oh that's all that's a little risky i mean we'll um and give you our honest opinion maybe we'll make it taste good but we're going to try making jerky let's try making it on the grill even though i never had when i used to make jerky with my dad growing up upstairs that's pretty much what we did with all the birds we we got I would pop it in the oven on low with the oven door cracked and dry it out but I would have to

them for about eight hours it seemed like almost overnight but I think I can do it on the grill a little faster so let's give it a try so let's pick up the lures enjoy the time lapse folks welcome. to the kitchen here um we actually have a timer set we have seven minutes to do this so what we did is we

ed the birds we didn't film it for obvious reasons it's very easy to clean ducks google it if you need to but we're going to try to make some duck jerky so I've got a bunch of ingredients here everything from Worcestershire hot and spicy huh salt garlic what is this garlic salt onion powder sauce soy, pepper and then these two guys, these two gems? right there ducks all meat seasonings and the new duck wild game seasoning we literally designed this one right here for what we're doing today which is preparing wild game whether it's venison turkey you go and harvest duck or something so, we did this. it smells amazing i sit here alone and just like bradley likes to smell fish i sit here and forge this wild game season it smells like fire it's like a smoky spicy it's fantastic but this is what i'm going to use so i have actually i don't ne this before i'll be honest with you i used to make jerky out of time with my dad but he was the one who made the marinade remember he liked those little kits like you can buy like goose jerky making kits um and it comes with all kinds of seasonings and then he liked liquid smoke and the like but he didn't want to go to the store. this is i just wanna say any time you're dealing with duck the spiciness is not the spiciest but the more flavor you put into the spice the better it smells pretty good so you know we're just going to hit it we're just going to give him one of these I'm not quite sure how much of what we're going to treat but then we've got some Worcestershire this will add some really nice flavors to it and then we've got some garlic salt just to go a little bit this has a little bit of garlic but this will make it a little bit heavier so throw it in a little bit of that in there you've got some onion powder throw in a little bit of that in there and I might like to keep adding because this isn't really so much liquid we have soy sauce everyone loves soy sauce i don't have any teriyaki so we're balancing with the soy sauce close enough so you just have regular pepper just to keep the spice level a little intense here like this yes a bit of pepper stock and then this is the seasoning for all meat oh this is a new one we're getting it guys go ahead and give it a healthy dose like that oh yeah we'll throw some of this in there this is which I'm going to garnish on top so once I get it on the grill go and put this on top and that will get some really nice flavors actually into the meat instead of just soaking it but we'll add a little bit of this in the mixture just like that I think it looks pretty good I don't know if it's enough liquid we have a I mean it's not an incredible amount of meat six birds but we'll go ahead and keep adding some of this like I said these aren't you know , we are going to help her, these are not precise measurements by any means, we are just going to make something that is spicy and tasty.

I guess it won't make the duck taste any worse than the duck normally tastes, so we'll just go ahead and keep adding until you feel like we have enough liquid. here and then what we did was we we didn't finish my statement we cleaned the birds we washed the breasts we put them in the freezer for 30 minutes we had like five more minutes that will help firm them up and then you can slice them thin and thin and it will be very easy like this that I'm going to go ahead and okay we're going to call it good give him the old scotch there's your marinade so five minutes we are I'm going to take the brisket out, cut it up, throw it in the marinade and then we'll coat it, put it in the fridge anyway. here from a three hour minimum to 24 hours the longer obviously the better I want to eat the jerky today so we'll probably lean towards more of that just two three hour mark and then throw them on the grill for another two or three hours and we'll see how it turns out guys stay tuned boom look here's today's crop so we've got the gaddies we've got the spoons and then these are all the telium so I'd like to keep these um the spoons they separate just to, well, that way I don't like it ends up tasting bad I don't want to make sure it's separated that way I don't like to give someone hey try this amazing duct jerk. means it tastes like booty so put it in a separate bowl so we'll see if they're for last so I mean they're a little firmer honestly they could probably last another 30 minutes honestly they're colder than anything least thing people like their jerky different thicknesses that's not one piece but i'm going to propose it i'll probably do it this way it probably makes more sense so if you go this way your thickness will be based on how far you go from this way so i don't mind a bit of chunky jerky so if you really liked that think its a solid piece it seems a little small isn't that smart thin because you can only go thick? it's going to shrink a bit yeah you don't want it to be as crispy as a chip you don't like chips either i mean i like chips but in this case it's not really my goal here so i mean kind of like it is a thick boy that's a thick boy that's a little thick yeah that's a thick boy right there oh there's my alarm to get them out of the freezer even now so okay let's make them a little different huh do you think I should i try to split that guy in half or we try a couple of bacon they'll just take longer he'll taste good just take longer if we let it try a couple of bacons because i mean realistically these they'll all be skinny so maybe we'll leave a couple big chungus in case that's just a rat so I'll just do it. cut this guy in half okay so gaddies come on let's do it but I think that's okay so once you have them cut whatever you want to do throw the meat in a bowl then basically , you're going to pour the marinade like this, so we're going to repeat that process, go ahead and cut this all into slices and cubes, put them in there, cover them, put them in the fridge for a few hours and then we'll do it. put them on the grill to keep an eye out welcome back folks it's the next day we changed our minds a little bit planned to just marinate for a couple hours and then I said mate let's do it the right way. let's not be lazy let's not try to finish this video let's do it the right way so here we go after 24 hours. rs from pure marinade this is what we're dealing with running horizontally here like all these guys that's the spoony the rest is between teal and gaddy but I mean we've got some chunky pieces in there so I wanted to make sure that we marinate it long enough if you're going to make some super thin slices and make it like a french fry type offering you probably don't need a marinade that long and you probably don't need it to

it that long either but what we're doing is marinating for 24 hours.
I have some wild game pepper and seasoning. I want to mix it up a bit because I don't. I have never done this before. so I don't know if my marinade concoction was too strong or not strong enough so I'm going to season a little bit with wild game on top, a little bit with pepper and then maybe a couple pieces with nothing just to see that maybe my marinade was too strong and basically like I needed it to just tone it down a bit so I'm trying to bookmark the recipe today so future cooks knowwhat's going on, but here we go, that's the duck here, it's windy here.
I may have to go season these guys within my damn season that's going to fly all over the place, but we've got the old traeger cooked to assume that it should be around 180. If it's going to work, I mean I was looking a bunch of recipes all said 180. so that's the plan it's a little windy so I don't know if it'll hold the temperature but we're thinking of cooking this between four and eight hours I mean it could take all day long with these big thick pieces so it's really just going to depend but let's go ahead and ge Give me some of this wild game seasoning on top oh yeah oh yeah yeah this wind isn't really helping me right now it's just we'll call it good with that there you go good enough for me um these pieces i'll bare these bottom ones since the wind blows and then we're going to do some pepper for this guy boom good enough we have seasoning d e pepper spicy wild game and then all i said a couple bear guys i'll go to the side in case my marinade is super strong and i want a couple pieces mild or whatever wild game so spicy i Let's see which one we like best, let's go ahead and pump up the grill a bit and we'll show you what it looks like when we're done, look at that guy, right? there, so this is the spoon.
I end up putting wild game seasoning and pepper on half of them and just pepper on some of them. These are more of my plain, not much seasoning. like it's so like I said those could be really good soft pieces um if some body don't like spice then we got pepper here wild game plus pepper and wild game something mixed in there so let's try it here folks I'm going to close the lid here let it in it's warmed up again since I've had it open for so long and honestly I'll probably see them in a few hours I'll check on it every hour um probably for the rest of the day until we have some delicious duck jerky duck meat in our mouth so stay tuned look at those babies well folks surprisingly they get done a lot quicker than I thought.
Everything I read online was like four five six seven eight hours. We've been to two and even the thick pieces I took took a bite I'm not going to lie I took a bite right here look it's soft it's moist you can't tell it's not very tough it's not super tough it's like eating a piece of steak dude this is crazy i would never know this is duck poo jae going to freak out puja its not here it will be here later this afternoon though imma take all this off the grill and let it cool mate oh guys thats right How am I going to cook every duck I kill for the rest of the year?
I bet you could give it to macy and she'd think it's good. Will she eat it herself knowing it probably isn't a dog? But I will try to convince her because I am convinced that she would like the flavors not to be noticed there. Not too strong that wild game seasoning. crazy, I wish I wish there was olfactory vision or taste division like you couldn't. This is crazy. This is absolutely. I can't believe the taste of this. impressed at this point that you know i'm going to go for more than that which is not seasoned, ok not bad right? good beef jerky if you want it a little spicier not spicy but more flavorful definitely put that w game season is on but that's pretty cool too so while she's freaking out right now im going to keep going Go ahead and take all this away.
Sit down, that's the spoon. the real test if the wild game seasoning on the ducks and the other concoctions I made can make spoons taste good. I'll see you around all day. Get here. Which one did you like the most? k honestly i can't answer you want me to wait no wait i would say you should try that one first because it will give you a lot more flavor yeah ok so if i were you go for it's ok perfect just which I don't know, okay, so what do you think about the texture? I thought it was going to be a lot crunchier. that about the jack links i mean i wouldn't get carried away by that oh gosh look i will it's close is close is close the thing is i like the texture of that better than i think as the aftertaste of the jackpot is very smoky It's really alright.

Yeah I mean I honestly haven't had a piece for a couple of hours so it's a fun fact I only put them on the grill for two hours actually two so I guess the longer the crispier they would have been . better fresh out ok they're not bad no they're drier now than before it was like taking g a piece of steak was really good yeah i eat very juicy so now i'm freaking out i'm going to be a big daddy here ooh that will be the mallardo thats big daddy dude eat real look at that oh youre really in uh whats the texture i can Actually, it doesn't look that bad.
I was worried they would dry out. It's drier than the smaller piece, which I feel is a bit backwards, yeah well I feel like I have to try this now. yes it may just be because it's a different kind of bird yes you know I don't know because I'm assuming what I ate here was probably the teal yes you probably had a pizza more than likely yes and that would be real duck yes, but could you? tell him that's duck, though like no, you get it, I have no taste for game, no, which would you prefer pepper or wild game? of the wild game seasoning really makes you good with that i think if i were to redo it i would probably go straight to the wild game without the crack pepper i think you get a better flavor so now comes the real question can we make it taste good i would say than my Worcestershire soy sauce, whatever that combination is, I didn't.
I don't measure anything the combo worked because this duck is pretty much the worst tasting duck like cooked probably a little bit worse so okay I'm going to go mute quietly I mean it's not that bad no no I think you see that. to be worse you have a ducky taste though not at all i think its different though im trying to think how its different this one tastes more like real beef mm-hmm doesnt taste like a whole different flavor yeah this one is drier though yeah , so I only did it two hours but the thing is I left my house for two hours and came back so I could have taken them out soon like I only checked them once after two hours because we were supposed to be four hours ago what what happened there oh no that doesn't taste good i really like something in this what it tastes tastes like ash i don't know it's ok ok i would say if i throw a spoon this would be the way to prepare it yes so it just doesn't taste good, this other piece i have is better really now i feel like i have to go eat another piece and do the back of this guy yeah you cant describe the taste at all or no i really dont know what that tastes like it tastes like little to dirt really, yes that piece probably p i could say it's a little more definitely yeah ok i don't even know if that's pathetic or i don't know what you are the spoon isn't as good as mallard or duck so it's a little drier , which I don't think has to do with the bird, but you don't get the ducky flavor, so if you shoot spoons or aren't a fan of the duck flavor, this would be the number one way to mask it in my opinion, oh yeah , like 100, you couldn't say that I could give this to anyone and the last thing they would think of would be duck, so that's pretty much all we got.
The verdict is that you like duck jerky. That's pretty good. I also like duck jerky.
