I Tried to use SKITTLES as PAINT...

May 31, 2021
Dear Drums of War, you've basically slapped me in the face with a glove. I challenge you to a duel. Someone has demanded satisfaction. Any guesses. Any guesses. They're late to the party The King of Chance did a

ing of Bob Ross with puddings, they even referenced me in the video as someone who does a lot of Bob Ross stuff. I laid down the gauntlet and said that's my thing. I didn't invent it. but I make it louder, I say I'm pretty sure that counts for something a couple of days ago King of Random posted this video, he's done several things in the style of Bob Ross, so several, several Bob, I do several things of Bob Ross, I see stars. and angry he was angry because we were infringing on his angry I'm angry I'm playfully retaliating I had a different art project I wanted to do now I'm going to link in the description to this video for its creation where they used Skittles to essentially make real pixel art of you and in the spirit of playful retaliation.

with Skittles, but please go watch the King of random video. I was impressed by how they used Skittles to create a portrait. It's a really funny video, but it's time to put aside how cute it is and continue with this angry façade. You know, the worst part about the artwork that the King of Chance made is that I have only genuinely failed and given up on one piece of art that I ever attempted and that was candy art and they made me look so bad your candy art and my candy uh even pixelating couldn't save it I'm really scared Trying to make candy, I got hit where it hurts.

More Interesting Facts About,

i tried to use skittles as paint...

Here is my theory on how I can paint with Skittles. I have a small container of water here, let's drink some. I'm going to use green immediately. You can see it coloring the water. that was faster than I expected, let's make it greener, look at that, that's right. I'm going to let this one rinse for ages while I meticulously portion it out. I like foreign mosquitoes. Let's test the sugar juice to see if it can be painted. grab a brush and see if it's going to work to paint from here, oh my goodness, I mean that kind of work, we have quite a dark pigmentation here and I wonder if with some darker Skittles we mix it up. a little bit, in fact, we're going to play right now, but it's mixed with a little bit of red.

Do you know what that tells me? I need to give it time to absorb properly, but is it dry? Oh no, wait, wait, there you are. Look at the little bubbles there that were the sugar burning, so don't do it. The real question is: can I add another layer on top? But I think I'm learning a thing or two from this one. I can treat this like watercolors. I can layer my colors, but two, these things get ugly when you leave them on too long and I think I'll probably want a sweet spot in the middle, get the sweet spot.

Skittles sugar. I will follow him. the footsteps of King of Random made a very kind portrait of you it was really very well done I'm going to return the favor and make a portrait of Nate and Cali from King of Random I have a medium, I don't know If it's going to be good, but it will be fun to try. I can't believe it actually worked, it never works. I always grit my teeth after a good start. The King of Chance made a very interesting realistic portrait of you, really, whatever you are. Anyone who sees my content knows that realism is not the best I can do.
I can try, but you know it's not my strongest talent, but cartoons and characters are, so I thought I'd create a couple of cartoon avatars for Nate and Kelly. a reference from a still image from his channel's intro and then working from that to create my piece starting with the tkor logo to take the decoration is that it's supposed to say "it's not an abbreviation for The King of Random "Every time I see it, I want to say "decoration." It doesn't make sense, but anyway, I'm going to see if I can create the image of the hosts behind it.
When I was happy with the sketch, it was time to do some painting, but I was already out of my comfort zone in the sense that I mean, I don't know if it's ink or Skittle's reaction. I had to do some testing to be sure, so I did some testing with some of my usual pens and discovered that yes, one of them did indeed smear Skittles. I would have known, so I put the guys working on the outlines and inking of the characters. Thank you, thank you foreigner. I have my well. I say portrait. More of a caricature.
I'm not a fan of realism, but I thought you already knew that. What could I also do in my style? So here it is, on the left we have Nate, on the right we have Kelly in her epic poses from her channel intro, so as you can see, oh my gosh, it's really been saturated! the water with our food coloring I need a skin tone for these guys, so I guess I'll do it like I normally would, a little bit of red A touch of orange, a touch of yellow, maybe a little bit of whatever. It's not bad, it's a little peachy and if I go light and then layer it on top as it gets thicker, oh my gosh, that's weirdly good, we're in business, baby, start with a light coat.
I want to go for one really uh. even aesthetically, I want it to look like a well thought out and well executed work of art, you see? I've seen Hamilton recently, oh my gosh, that's amazing, so I'm going to go ahead and do the rest that we have, like darker shirts and sunglasses and then her hair is a little bit warmer, hers is a little bit orange and then his is a little bit more brown, so I think if I first mix like a brown and make some different versions I think it'll be mostly like this color a little bit red.
I'm mixing in a little green. I'm going to stop doing that immediately. Not bad, she's got a little bit of blonde in her hair too, so I'm just going to give it a touch of yellow, just mix that up here, a little bit of mix, Skittle mix, as I like to call it, ah, I can't support my hand on the paper because it's like glue, but, oh my gosh, I mean, dude, this is great, it works really well, so I'm going to mix a new color. I have my brown. I'm going to put a little bit of this aside and mix it up. a bunch of orange and this will be Hallie's hair, okay, that's the finished hair there or at least the first layer.
Oh I have to do the eyebrows, just put a little on it, it's a good medium, it lifts up if you catch it quick. this is weirdly effective, but also weirdly catchy, they were both my nicknames in high school, okay, cool, good first layer, so I'm experiencing a weird, accidental gradient shift on the t-shirt, that's cool, I'm too noticing. if I lean in to blend the deeper dregs are revealed, get in there and get the darker pigments, put it right in now we're almost done with the first layer but as you can see we have that build up that was happening.
He is resting a lot in certain places. I'm going to try to do this, oh okay, not bad, okay, great, layer one, let's give it a lot of time before we move on to layer two. I'm going to stand here for a while the pelvis camera watches, that's all I have the patience to hit with a heat gun yet, but it looks so wet I'm hoping the gelatin and sugar will hold it together, but I'm going to go in and do the same. Second coat now, so let's hope for the best. I'm going to start with uh, maybe a little bit of lighting effect.
I'm going to rub in a little bit of yellow, go around the edge and give it a little bit of gold glitter. to the edge of these characters and make them look like they're standing in front of the sunrise tomorrow thank you, thank you foreigner, that's Layer Two done. I don't think I can get a denser color than what I have on top here and as you can see, it still pulls a little bit. I'm going to leave it. I think it has a bit of a gradient feel to it, which is cool, so let's move on to putting it all together.
I'm going to start by finishing the uh. The accessories here and you'll notice that the barrier that we have is again colored. I mean, these are steel and we don't have anything gray or with a hint of blue, so I have to work with what I have and create. the way to do this will be to treat them as purely reflective surfaces and as you can see with the glasses we have the top of the glasses reflecting the yellow light as is also the case in other areas of Nate and Cali and at the bottom I put a little bit of red, so I'm going to work with that and get my yellow.
I'm going to do the top areas of the key, now I'm going to move on to the red. Fortunately, the way we've done this and the way we've mixed colors is that we don't have any flat red or yellow areas except as lighting, so it worked pretty well, with a solid red on the bottom half to reflect anything. The lighting comes from below and we are pretending it is there. I think it's the best I'm going to get. It's pretty good. I think it works well. It's minimalist. It's something suggestive. No, it's not like suggestive, but it suggests light, so now.
I'm going to add a cool Splat effect behind them and I'm going to do this with green because I haven't used it except to blend it to create the brown, but the green will contrast really well with everything we have and it's our only cool color, it's the Most effective way to get the stickiest parts of this, maybe if I spill the green and keep all the feces. In fact, let's dive into the dirt, rub it in a little bit. and then yeah, there we go, yeah, that works pretty well actually and because it's so messy, it hides other random errors like that, there I'll go, there you go, so I'll do the same thing with the yellow, go straight to the Goopy, you can even drag it here, it's another one that's not a word, oh, this is a powerful sugar juice that was also my nickname in high school, okay, let's put some yellow touches now, last but not least , which will really tie this all together.
It's removing this from the outside oh this is strangely satisfying and beautiful. I'm just going to outline the logo, so let's fill in the dark part of the logo. I know this is your favorite sound in the world. Let's amplify the sound for the people. so they can really enjoy it, ah, sticky attempt, all that's left to do is the yellow part. I'm going to grab my yellow, just go right over there, go over everything, actually, you'll get a nice big brush, let's do this. with Flare oh boy oh my way Ah that's really cool, I might do one or two more coats of this and then when it's completely dry I'm going to varnish it overseas, thanks and here's my Skittle artwork, I mean in the comments of King of Random. video where they made my artwork with Skittles, pinned the top comment, your jazzer move, well the joke is on you because I have moves in my quads.
I mean, I don't want to brag, but I think this turned out pretty well and it doesn't look like anything. against your artwork was pretty cool if you like paint by numbers, oh but I created something completely authentic from scratch and made two people, you made one, oh where did this microphone come from? I dropped it, whoops! Jokes aside, this is really fun unintentional collaboration and in this case I'm very proud that I managed to do two things. I'm incredibly proud of one, one way to paint with Skittles and two Skittle cereals. I want to thank you for watching this video, I hope you enjoy it.
