I PAINTED On PAINT Palettes...

Feb 27, 2020
Hello, it's clearly me, today I'm

paint

ing on something that gets

paint

ed every time I paint but never stays

painted

. What I'm talking about? paint

palettes

I use this stuff every time I paint. You know what it does and then when it's over. using them, sometimes I just wash them, but it didn't occur to me until my recent 24 hour challenge video to make a paint palette into the concept of artwork itself. This is the one I made in that video, so it's like a decorative paint palette. and you guys loved it, you're weird, and you've been demanding I do more.
i painted on paint palettes
I think it's an excellent idea. I bought a couple of paint

palettes

of different shapes and not just these. I bought 40. 40. I bought 40. So I have a lot. To work on my ultimate goal is to cover my walls with them, so that's what I'm going to try to do today is paint enough paint palettes to make a little gallery and I'll hang them on the wall at the end of the video. let's paint paint palettes, okay, here are all my paint palettes, I have 18 of these, 12 of these and 9 of them add up and it actually makes you wait, it's only 39.

More Interesting Facts About,

i painted on paint palettes...

Whatever, I'm going to use a full load. of acrylic paint and paste paint pens, okay, palette number one is ready, moving on to palette number two, so I don't know about you, but when I see a circular object to decorate, my mind immediately goes to one thing that I want to make donuts, the urge to turn this circular paint palette into a donut was too strong, I couldn't fight it, here comes the chocolate frosting that looks like something else, so painting on the palettes with gaps was quite interesting because I didn't They're just a little tricky to maneuver, but they create strange optical illusions and make your lines look wavy, so you have to play with your shapes to make them look the way you want them to at the time.

I felt like this brown color was too dark so I lightened it up, presto, boom, but I'm not going to lie, I like the original brown better and I'll bring the paste pens to add some details including the set. You've arrived at a very special place and sparks, this one turned out well. It's definitely not my favorite of all the palettes I'm going to paint in this video. Something just doesn't look like what I imagined. Okay, but we move on. I'm going to grab one of these flat palettes. and since I had a bunch of brown poop, I mean hysterical paint, I decided I wanted to use some of that paint, so I turned this palette into a hamburger, we had dessert, so now we have to have dinner, it won't all be food.

The thing is the way I broke up some of my apple barrel paint, oh, the apple barrel is watery, look at this, what is it, it's a puddle, okay, let's get back to my burger, I'm getting I realize how horrible apple barrel paint is, I mean water, but I used to use this exclusively and it was great, I never had any complaints, but now that I've been living up to it with this new paint it's still from beginner grade but slightly higher, I feel the difference here, I can't imagine what the real high quality paint is probably amazing, the paint probably just applies itself.
I mean, let's face it, cheap paint really works well, especially if you're used to using it, you won't miss anything else and now I'm going to be using my paste pens to highlight the details of this Why is my skin stained? Does this look like a hamburger? I thought so, but now you know, I think I've been looking at this stuff for too long. Everything is starting to work. It looks like a kaleidoscope of colors oh no there it is, it's back okay, I like this one this one is great the next one for this one I decided that I wanted to try to make the whole palette the whole palette the whole palette that was ugly the whole palette and poscas but Las poscas really They didn't want to stick to that plastic.
I love painting so much I'm crying. I decided to go ahead and paint a layer of white paint on the palette to give the pastes something to stick to and strangely float on. palette with a brush I don't know what that was about I'm afraid and now I'm using a ruler oh we don't use many of those around here I don't like measuring things I'm going to grab my poscas and let's drink, I guess when I did the base coat I had changed opinion on what design I was going to do because whatever it was, that's nowhere to be seen, I'm not going to lie, I wanted to do watermelon in this one, but I didn't because some people say I've done it too much watermelons watermelons watermelon watermelon watermelon watermelon watermelon oh my god I did it again the crazy people don't know what they're talking about I decided to make citrus fruits we have dessert We have dinner, we eat fruit, so the thing about citrus is that I don't like any of them enough to commit to just one, so I divided it into sections like a pizza and included four different fruits, a lime, a grapefruit and orange and a lemon and then I added the seeds, wait no, those wouldn't be the seeds, it's just the fruit, the inner fruit, the flesh of the fruit, which looks very wild from the side view, gets a little trippy when you look at this from different angles finally I'm adding little highlights to make it stand out and adding some little dots around it just to give it texture I guess and that's it this looks like candy to me ah, I should have made a candy palette oh well, we're moving on from food palettes I have some dark gray, blue, purple, you should know what kind of color combination this is.
I'm doing a galaxy thing, if you hadn't already guessed, which I honestly can't remember a time when I did a galaxy design, there may have been a time, I'm trying to remember, uh, it hurts, The galaxy trend was so big, all the arts and crafts people were doing everything galaxy themed, but I think that trend has died down a bit, look when everyone loved it. I was tired of seeing it everywhere, but now that it's not so in my face all the time, I'm starting to like it. See how it works? I don't care about trends until they die.
Not only am I doing the typical galaxy look with the swirls and stars, I'm adding a large planet and it's a rainbow planet. Does this planet exist? It could be out there if it's ever discovered. I call it dibs, it's mine. Okay, I really should. take that hair bow off because it's too distracting, thanks, so this was interesting. I wasn't really sure how to paint a planet, so I was playing around with it trying to figure it out and decide how I wanted it to look. I didn't know how much texture, what kind of texture, how much shadow, where to put the lights, do the planets have lights?, this one has so I decided to add a little more variation to the background because it looked a little flat and the background was a lot of fun, the planet wasn't that easy, but you know I have problems with everything except the real galaxy background.
It was pretty easy to achieve and looks great without much effort, of course I added some stars with my poscas to complete the whole look and that's it, you guys smell I smell new merchandise. Personally, I get very excited about the concept of taking something I've hand painted and turning it into an actual product that I can share with you. Guys, my art has a son. I am a grandmother. That being said, let's look at the new products. Phone cases. If you have seen the video where I decorate phone cases. These are two of the designs I made in that video, which one is the original.
Can you say ooey ooey they look very similar to the originals? I'm very happy with how they turned out. They look so cool. These are sturdy cases, so they are very good quality. They have protection around the edge. I made them for Samsung like Well, I didn't forget about you, I'll leave the link in the description, as always, let's go back to painting with paint palettes, so the next one is two. I need two palettes for what I'm about to do. What's going on? I'll see, so I'm putting blobs of different colors of paint in each well of this palette and I'm just going to play with it.
I'm just using my brush to try to make each one look interesting. I'm going to take a photo of it to make sure I can see all the details clearly in the photo. This photo was actually my clue for this week's video on Instagram. Shout out to these people who guessed it correctly, so now I'm just throwing out a coat. of light gray paint on the other paint palette and I'm using the paint from this palette and painting that paint on the other paint palette I'm basically painting a paint palette with paint on a pink palette, did that clear it up?
I took the photo so I could use it as a reference because I obviously don't want to waste all the paint I pour into this palette, but while using it I'm ruining my aesthetic spots, so I'm actually using the image to reference what they looked like. I'm not looking for absolute realism. I'm exaggerating the shadows and shapes, so it's definitely more cartoonish. I also added a lot more of those mini spots that really only happened once. in the original but I thought it was so cute I just had to add more now, maybe you're thinking Mariah like you're so stupid why didn't you let the paint dry on the first palette?
First of all, it's rude, obviously, I could have done it. I just left the paint drips there and let them dry and took it for granted, but I don't think that was as cool or as interesting as trying to paint paint that would have just been a dirty, lumpy paint palette and I've seen that before. and would look out of place with the other properly painted and decorated palettes, that's how that palette ended up after using it. You're ugly. Now you can leave something else that you may be wondering: why did I paint the palette gray?
I want the lights to really pop and when you have a bright white background, sometimes the white lights don't look as bright if you want your lights to be powerful, just don't use pure white anywhere else. I hate how the black lines look. In that yellow paint I think it looks good in all the other colors, but the yellow is so light that it is too extreme a contrast. I should have done something to fix that, but what's done is done, live and let live, forgive and forget, what else? clichés that we can add to that in general, I'm super happy with this one, next I'm going to take one of these crazy ones, I'm going to draw a spiral, you know, paint the spiral with some colors mixed together, it's funny because this palette has always been my favorite paint palette because of all the different areas, but it's definitely my least favorite to paint because of all the different areas, so I definitely had to stick to really simple designs with these palettes, so if you're trying to paint paint. palettes yourself, I would suggest buying the round or flat palettes and you know, you probably don't even need to buy any because I probably have enough for everyone.
I didn't at least notice the flat pallets they came in. packs of multiples so I only wanted to order a couple but then it was like triple because they came in three packs oh my gosh I can still use them so you know it's okay if I have extras they are super cheap too. maybe like a dollar or two per palette, so you know you have some people on youtube painting on airpods teslas and then there's me painting on plastic paint palettes. If you try this, be sure to take a photo and tag me on Instagram mariahlizabethofficial.
I haven't been able to find anyone else who has done this and switched to another flat palette, oh oh wow, that was really cool, so for this one I'm painting a landscape with the flat palettes, I mean you can basically paint anything that you have. Lots more ideas I could do with these I decided on a landscape even though landscapes and I weren't the best of friends, I'm basically terrible at landscapes the only reason is I don't practice enough. I can definitely count on one hand. the number of times i have painted a landscape i didn't even follow a bob ross tutorial like everyone else i'm at a disadvantage i mean i love bob ross don't get me wrong bob ross is a painter he has a show he's kind of old but he's amazing but I never made the following Bob Ross tutorial video because I guess I got tired of watching everyone else do it Bob, I'm sorry, this isn't a happy accident, it's just a tragedy that can't wait. be good at something I don't practice much, so maybe it's not so bad.
I think the reason I'm not a big fan of doing landscapes is because I really like the little crisp, clear details of things, but landscapes are so big. scale my details end up very muddy i tried i don't hate this but i can't help but feel like there are a lot of things wrong here to me i think it's okay okay let's do one more of these crazy ones i painted the entire background was a solid navy blue which ended up looking like black and I just drew confetti everywhere. I used almost every posca pen color I have to make this and I still feel like there are some colors missing, do you ever feel like it?
There are not enough colors, there have to be more colors, I know there is a species of shrimp that can see colors that the human eye cannot, what does he know? I don't like the colors that I'm missing. I think that way. too often, so yeah, confetti, it's a party to finish these paint palettes. I'm just going to add my signature to each and every one and then apply a varnishtransparent. Well, these are all the paint palettes I have to show. I made eight in this video, so I have nine in total. I love them, I love them so much, I still have 31 of them left, any two, so now all that's left to do is hang them on my wall.
The first thing I did was lay them out and try to figure out how I wanted them to be organized. I'm going to use some command strips and just glue them on. On the back of each of the palettes, see who wants attention and here we go, placing them on the wall. I'm going to cause some people to see the way I've organized them. Many people actually prefer things to be perfectly symmetrical. I like it. That too in some situations, but with this I really wanted them to be as a group, so I tried to make it visually balanced, but that's how I wanted it and it's done.
Here is my gallery of paint palettes. I love it so much. There would be a more appropriate form of decoration for an art room. This space right above my paint drying station. This is perfect to fill that space. I am very satisfied. I hope you enjoyed this video. Thanks for watching. see you next friday goodbye
