We are working on our own set of six generation heads. The reason we are doing this is that we look at a lot of the different head manufacturers and we think they all have something good, but none of them have a Great, and I'm talking specifically about stainless steel cooks and also our age, it's not none of them are bad, but there's always a downside to at least one of them, so these are Kooks heads and what you'll notice here is that Boy, look at that, you can actually see it was a you know, doing its thing here, that guy number five, cylinder five, the primary for cylinder five, interferes with the factory spark plug wire.

Now I told the cooks about this when you know. probably about a year ago and maybe not a whole year ago, but I told the cooks about this a while ago and even to this day there is one small thing that still hasn't been fixed so you are forced to use a set of MSD cables on here or do you know any aftermarket cables that don't go as far as this one and rub right on the primary, so why can't you just use the factory cable right? Because when it rests on that headstock, it eventually melts and you just misfire and you're like damn my tuner, guess what, even when you wear those boots, those fancy boots you're still resting on the headstock and that heat still transfers to the headstock. spark plug wire boot and it still melts it. and it still arcs and you still misfire, so you can't really do anything to protect yourself there except go to a different spark plug wire, like an MSD wire, and I'll show you why right now, why the MSD wire or any other.

The aftermarket cable might not be a good option compared to the original cable, plus the cost alone is around 80 dollars for a set as there is a performance difference in how the cables actually work , so the MSD cables run around 30 to 35 now. ohms is a measure of resistance basically that's all it is and it's actually pretty good. 30 to 35 is pretty good for the cable size. Well, what are we finding on the factory cables here, the factory line, not even one, wait, wait? I'm ready, holy schnikies, yes, and those are all between 30 and 35 ohms. Our head will be designed so that you don't need to use anything but the factory cables because it seems like the factory cables are pretty good so why spend another sixty? two hundred dollars on a set of cables just from the header which are not as good as the factory ones, so for our headers here, you can see how there is clearance everywhere, now it's hard to enlarge it, but I can see, look, space , that's something you don't find with some of the other guys.

Don't throw them under the bus. It's like these work on the passenger side. Look, everyone is clear. I'm sorry. It's hard to see, I mean the Camaro is pretty tight, but the factory spark plug wires fit perfectly and that was one of our big things in terms of building a header system. You know, we wanted this to work perfectly to save you money on it. And well, now there are simply no adjustment problems. One of the really nice things about Kooks is that they have that value header where you end up having just a short section, a short mid pipe where you cut off the factory exhaust and just slide it on. and it's good to go there now ARH and the stainless steel jobs go all the way back and now not that there's anything wrong with either of them but we want to do a mix between the two we really want that short slide header so we can have a good value package at a good price, like The Kooks price, and also not having to worry about cables because we want to use the best cables and that's what we're working on developing, we're almost done.

It's not out yet, we'll keep you posted when it's out, but it's definitely on our to-do list and hopefully this will be a really good thing for the community when the project is finished, so remember how I said it is. a good hatter project, we are developing our own headers for the car, it is for all six of us.
