I Get a Bridal Makeover by Korean Celebrity Makeup ArtistsMay 04, 2020
hi guys i'm tina here welcome back to my channel i'm currently in seoul and today we're doing something a bit different in fact a
makeupartist sun and park will be working with many celebrities here and on k drama sets plus they have launched their own brand called simply gem so i'm with the
makeupartist park one big thing i wanted to know is what is the difference between
koreanmakeup in weddings like
bridalthe makeup hangout is a special announcement on the foreign so let's get started I'm going to get the Korean bride
makeoverso who's going to do what? lets get started as soon as i sat in the makeup chair park and the sun went to work on my
makeoverpark started styling my hair as the sun worked on enhancing my features without surgery used mesh eyelid tape to lift My skin around my eye area makes the crease look bigger now its normal for uneven eyelids so I rely on eyelid tape to even them out but wearing a sunscreen is less detectable and makeup can be applied on top so its much better than the old school double eyelid tapes on the market then proceeded to trim my brows my brow hairs tend to go down so a little trimming will help to lift the shape then comes a non surgical brow lift with the help of his assistant sun attached a piece of tape to help lift my brow and make it more even with the other side he said e that her clients love this trick and i can see why the subtle little change can really help balance out a person's face and in case you're wondering if the tape shows through, the sun really positioned it so my bangs cover her later, now it's Park's turn to work his magic on me to prep my skin, he applies the gesture mask which is infused with pearl powder. and hyaluronic acid which I help plump up my skin and give it a more even surface to help the foundation last longer for a bit.
There I forgot I was getting makeup and not a facial and just when I thought I might not get anything. better the makeup assistant applied some essential oils on herself this was sourced it's called the peace of mind relief on the spot and she put it on my wrist and neck to help relieve stress and massaged me in neck to help. stimulate my skin and increase blood flow oh it definitely felt like I was getting a spa treatment now, after about 10 minutes the mask came off and Park applied the bear gesture cream, this is one of their best selling products, he applied it while there was still some scent left. he left me on the face of the mask and massaged it into my skin now i know we haven't even started on the actual makeup yet but the skin prep and face correcting techniques alone are so impressive i can't say there's had these additional treatments include I had a makeup session before the facial was absolutely amazing and afterward my skin felt so soft and smooth there was no sticky residue or oil just baby soft skin.
Now my skin is ready for the foundation. she covered it up with a thick, non-absorbent brush and then concealed it with the claire de paul concealer stick around the mouth and cheek area, which she blended with the same undereye foundation brush park used the pencil ysl 2 jacla in shade number one below she mixed some liquid lipstick with some concealer in her hand to create a blush color and used a sponge to apply this to my cheeks. I thought this was a really cool makeup hack especially for those who experience their foundation rubbing off when applying blush this technique will help add color to your cheeks and keep the coverage in place now the park is done with my foundation and the sun is back and going to bleach my brows so i etched cotton pads over my eyes to protect them his assistant applies the bleach to my brows while the sun preps my lips with the lip balm at this point i started to get a little worried because one i had never bleached my brows before and two i didn't know how light it was getting but i trusted my son and knew i wasn't going to do anything drastic so i sat there patiently and waited for the bleach to take effect soon after that I removed it and luckily my eyebrows. it wasn't blonde, my hair had lightened but only a few shades and it turned into a nice medium brown, it was a little change but the lighter color helped soften my face, now the sun wasn't done with my brows yet , then he went away with a small razor to shave my sparse hairs, another good trick he showed me was to dab some cream on my eyelid before shaving to make sure the razor doesn't irritate my skin normally when i shave my eyebrows at home , i don't put anything on my skin to protect it but now i'm going to start using t his trick another really interesting tip from sun was that he liked to use a facial regenerating oil this is from a brand called bajic and he uses it as a fixative makeup to help set the foundation just use your hands to apply a thin layer over my face and that will help keep it in place all day now we can finally start moving on to the eyes some use a d liner e pencil to fill in my lash line first they use a brown color and it just worked very close to my natural lash line the pencil i was using was a double sided pencil and had black on the other side so once i was done with the brown color she just flipped it over and then lined it with black after that she set the liner in place using some brown eyeshadow for the rest of my sun dusted lids in a light skin tone shade, then he applied a nice coral shade on my mobile eyelid and yes that was pretty much all he did for my eyeshadow he was very simple and then he moved on to lashes he was very meticulous with the way he curled my lashes first he used a curler of regular lashes to lift them up and then she came back with a mini curler to make sure she didn't miss any hair, she then mixed a black and brown liquid liner from mac and applied it which on my upper waterline i noticed a lot of maqui Korean eyeliners tend to do this, they would like to layer their eyeliners starting with browns and then deepening it with a black eyeliner.
This technique helps to give the eyes more depth. she applied the lashes she cut into small pieces earlier and applied each piece one by one, this helps the lashes look more natural and blend in better with my own lashes for the lower lash line, she then blended with a pinky soft eyeshadow to complement the rest of the eye makeup for my brows, she first filled them in with a brown shadow and then used the shiramura hard 9 pencil to further define the shape. she says most korean makeup
artistsuse this pencil because it's more waxy and gram has a more natural finish then she quickly cleaned up the shape of my brows using concealer then went on to shading to contour she used the jess gep touch shade which is almost like a cream to powder contour and it just buffs that out using a brush focusing on the perimeters of my face you can see there are no harsh lines and it all blended really well on my cheeks she applied a pink blush from nars her assistant carefully concealed using concealer pencils to cover up any blemishes that were peeking through my skin now i haven't seen any other makeup artist use this technique maybe because it takes more time but overall i think it's a great way to perfect the skin because you're just applying That extra layer of coverage to the areas that need it so the overall look of the skin still looks very natural and flawless after the sun moves. went to the lips first she applied a pink liquid lipstick this is a new one from i just dont know the shade of but she applied this color lightly over my cupids bow then blended it with a brush then covered it with a darker lip liner and then she filled in the rest of my lip and then she put on a more vibrant coral lipstick. shadow in the center of my lips to give it that gradient finish.
I really liked the end result of my lips, they looked fuller without being too drawn and the colors you chose looked really serviceable and fresh just when I thought we were done with the makeover sun. He pulled another amazing trick. She started to fill in my sparse hairlines with the brow pencil and a bit of powder on top. Now I know why Korean celebrities have such a perfect hairline. I love how natural it looks, but then I also see the slight subtle differences, like my eyes are a little bigger, one of my eyebrows is more raised, my lips look plumper, and can we talk about my skin? oh my gosh lo is absolutely flawless here is a quick before and after pic so you can see the difference afterwards i ended up doing a couples shoot with my friend hendrick and these are the pics he took thank you so much i love it i think its so nice and natural and also got a lot of tips so thank you so much for joining me if you haven't already be sure to subscribe to my channel and we'll talk to you next time.
