I did my own handtied extensions & color transformation at home !

Jun 03, 2021
Hello, hello and welcome to my little corner of the Internet. This is going to be a pretty long and arduous hair

transformation

process and I wanted to really show you from start to finish, so there you have it, I'm the epitome of a before photo right now, so this is my hair. I washed it last night the last time I did my hair was basically the last video I posted where I hand tied the extension and that was in January, I think it was the end of January. So it's been a while, it's currently June so I have at least four months of growth here.

You can see my bangs. I have more of my natural

color

than my bleached blonde. By the way, I'm growing my bangs. that's why they're in this horrible awkward middle stage where they don't go behind my ears but they're too long to lighten them so deal with that too basically the overall goal of where I want this to end up is to lower the

color

brown. More on the blonde, you can see that it's kind of a line that's not too harsh because, like I said, it was blended a while ago, so it's not terrible, but I'm going for a more super dimensional, almost brandy-like fade.

More Interesting Facts About,

i did my own handtied extensions color transformation at home...

I don't know what to call it, there are so many words. I will show some inspiration images that I took from Pinterest. Really something of a warm and messy dimension. I don't want to say balayage because it's not exactly that, it's more. of a similar dimension with a gradient, um on top and yeah, I mean, I'm also going to tone this, there's no toner in it. I haven't done absolutely anything to it since I did it in January, so basically my goal is to reduce this brown more, but with a gradient and some dimensional lowlights. I've never done anything like this regarding low light.

I have mixed

extensions

that were blonde to have a rooted top, but I have never put them in. like lowlights on anything before watching a ton of videos, I did a little research on colors, did some strand tests with different colors that I requested and I feel pretty prepared, as prepared as I'll ever be, not as prepared as I could be. Before I went to hair school, I am not a hairdresser, I am not classically trained in anything related to hair, dyes,

extensions

or anything like that, but I have experimented a lot with my own hair and other people's hair, I have practiced almost all.

The last time I got extensions, except this last time, I did them all myself, so at least I'm comfortable experimenting on myself and if I totally hate it, the stakes aren't very high, we're still in quarantine right now, so. I don't like going out on a daily basis, this seems like the time to just say, "forget, you know, I did a strand test, uh, with some old extensions, I'll show them to you here, so these are four different browns that I tried that these they will be for the root and lowlights. I ended up choosing these two, this one came out super violet red which I don't love, and this one I think was the ash I wanted to try just to see how it would look and I don't think it will go. to fit the color palette I'm looking for, if I remember correctly I think this was the 7nw and this was the 8, this was the 7a and I think this was the 7g which I mean I'm going to use for the area the root and then I'm going to use this to mix that gradient between the dark and the light and then also lower some highlights, so that's the brown I also did four different shades, I don't know why these two came out so dark and weird that they They're supposed to be like a beige color, I just wanted to see how the beige ones came out and they're just a bit too gray and dark for what I'm looking for obviously, so those two are out.
These two are the two possibilities. The one here is the one I decided on. It's a little less bright and a little warmer than this one. like a platinum straight icy blonde and this one has some warmth to it which I like for the overall color scheme I'm going for. I'm going to split this pretty much into three sections so the first step is going to be Take my extensions that I have that aren't dyed and color them first so they start completely yellow from top to bottom and I'm going to root them a nice dark brown to match my dark brown and then I'm going to throw some lowlights along them, so kind of a warm brown, some dark browns, very, very small and just play with them and, you know, try it with that and then I'll tone them with a nice honey blonde color.
Also, after I'm done with the extensions, I'm going to move on to styling my hair and I'm going to do the same kind of process where I'm going to blend this root here so it's a little bit warmer and more brown and then I'm going to take my hair and I'm going to put some highlights or highlights in it. lows too, so I'm just going to take small strands and dye them brown and then I'm going to tone my hair up to that honey blonde. also and then the third step will be to apply the extensions to my head by myself, yeah, so I have a lot of work ahead of me, that's for sure, but luckily by the time I'm filming this intro, I've already done it. the extension part, so I'll show you the footage of that and what it was like and then we'll move on to step two, so first things first, here I'm setting up my workstation in quotes, this is just an old layer to cut the hair and then I have some aluminum foil to use as a coloring surface for the extensions so first of all I'm going to untie if that's a word um extension so I can lay them flat so I can color them once I have my gloves on. and then once they're all disaggregated, I'm going to start mixing my colors, so I'm going to use this cup so I can measure everything exactly and not leave anything to chance, so I'm just going to put each color in a different container and then set them up. the box behind so I can keep track of which color is which, so as I mentioned, I ended up starting with the 7n w at the top and I'm going to use that color to root all the extensions across the board and then like As soon as to blend the root with the mid section, I'm using that 8g color which is a nice warm brown, it's a little bit lighter than seven so it will give a nice gradient effect and then what am I going to do ?
It's as you can see, I'm just weaving some little highlighted sections here and I'm taking that kind of 7nw or 8g back and forth and applying it to the lowlights as well, meaning 7nw mixing with 8g and then I'm I'm going to weave, take some pieces and in the previous one I only lost about 50, in this one I lost 100. I also have to take into account that I am going to remove a few centimeters. The bottom of these I don't like my hair to be super long, I like it around 16 inches so I'm trying to keep in mind how much I'm going to take off the bottom and incorporate it into how far I go.
I also lower the lights low, so for that one I only shot the middle parts, I shot a lot less. I want to alternate between taking a lot and taking a little, 50 of the way down, 25, 75, etc., so this one I just used the medium and went 50 of the way down again. I'm going to root 7 and mix it with 8g and I think for that one I didn't do any low light so I want to have a lot of variation. between these and I need to have a strong blonde base so the brown doesn't take over completely.
I think for the rest I'm not going to add any soft lighting to have my primary color of that. honey blonde like most of the pack, so now that all the roots and lowlights are applied, I'm going to start mixing my toner and start with the first one that I dyed and am actually going to use. that toner to blend out the brown even more, now that the blonde is saturated in color, it's a lot easier to blend, so I'm just using my brush, taking it sideways and really using my fingers to bring that brown down and help blend it out and I'm just repeating this on all the extensions so this is after I've removed all the color and this is one of the first ones I did where I applied a lot of low light so you can see the big contrast between the brown and blonde ones I'm also going to use This bohemi remy revitalizing shampoo and conditioner.
This is the same brand as the extensions and it was made for these extensions so I definitely want to do everything I can to keep them in good shape for as long as possible so I'm going to use them exclusively on these extensions so while I wash them, I try to be very careful with how I do it. I'm taking the low light part first. all brown and I'm going to wash it and then I'm going to wash the blonde and then I'm going to wash them together so I don't leave the brown on the blonde prematurely and have the color stick where I don't want it and I'm just going to shampoo and condition each one. them very carefully, so now that the extensions have been completely washed, I simply put a towel over the back of the chair and put them there.
I never blow dry my extensions, it always leaves them super curly. Instead, I just laid them out like this and let them air dry overnight. It makes a big difference and they always feel great the next day. Well, that was the process for extensions. It was actually easier than I thought. I thought it was going to be like pieces were flying and falling everywhere and I was going to die with disdain in places I didn't want them to go and since they are so long and I don't really have much workspace. I was just using a tarp on the floor, I thought it was going to be a lot messier and I didn't know exactly how the colors were going to come out and this is how they turned out.
I think they look very good. I like the colors and dimensions I was able to get once you put them together, I think it's exactly what I wanted. I wanted the brown pieces to be really noticeable. I didn't want them to just be how you would notice. They weren't there, but you don't really notice that they are there. I wanted them to be pretty apparent but not take over, so depending on what pieces you grab, you know everything looks a little different, which I think it will. make it easier to blend it into my hair since it's not a super generalized method.
I can just randomly pick and choose which pieces I want to make darker or go lower or shorter and lighter and just alternate like I did with the extensions and they should come together perfectly. I hope now that they are done, let's go ahead and start with my hair and here is a quick little clip of the extensions in daylight which for some The reason I felt it was necessary to leave it even this video is almost an hour long , but here they are up close in the light. I definitely love how they turned out clearly.
I know they are not perfect. I'm sure hairdressers everywhere are screaming right now, but I'm enormously proud of what I was able to achieve with these, considering my skill level or lack thereof, I must say, and what I was going for seemed very ambitious. at the time, but they turned out pretty well and I'm very happy, so now I'm just setting up a similar workstation on my desktop like I did with the extensions. I'm just putting all my colors in separate bowls and organizing them, so my plan here is to try to recreate the exact same process as I did the extensions with my hair to obviously make them match as much as possible, so what I'm doing is starting from down and move up.
I'll cut a piece and hold the rest. I'm going to cut. one more time and then I'm going to weave that piece and apply that 7 and w all the way 50 of the way down 25 75 and I'm just going to alternate back and forth between how far under each one I'm also going to vary the amount of hair that I leave in these small low reflections. I don't want the brown to be super overwhelming, so I'm going to alternate between taking very large fabrics and very small fabrics, and back and forth. going all the way or part of the way forward and backward.
I also wanted to quickly point out that I realize you can see this isn't the first section I made. The first section I did was in the back and I used a Time Lapse on my camera and it ended up being too fast and too hard to see in detail, so I ended up showing this clip first so I could explain what I was doing. You could actually see it much better and much closer. up um that in the time lapse view so now I'm going to switch to the first section that I actually did so if you could notice that I have a very large mirror placed in front of me and a very large mirror with big bright lights behind it Me too, so even though it was pretty hard to navigate in the back of my head, I changed everything from what I'm comfortable with to being upside down, I could see and that made a big difference, well I'm done with the low light part.
I have put all the hair in the sheets and I want it to be completely brown. Now what I have to do is mix my roots that didn't end up on the sheets with those 8 g, so I'm just going to go between all of them. Those sheets that I made and putting those 8g a few inches all over my head, you can see in some of these clips that I used this teasing method where you backcomb your hair a little bit and dye what's left just so that when it calms down , you have strands that fall in the colorless section which was very difficult to manage so I didn't stick with it very often but I did do it a few times around my head.
Here is the hair after I removed all the lowlights. I washed it in sections about 10 minutes apart, but this is when it's all completely washed.so now what I need to do is tone the blonde parts that are left and to do that I'm just going to mix my toner in a bottle. You don't need to have dry hair to tone your hair. I think they even suggested towel drying your hair, so my hair is towel dried. I've mixed my toner and I'm going to apply it loosely all over the blonde, so for my bangs I thought it would have been something like this.
It's weird if I put lowlights on them too, so I didn't leave them out, I didn't put any brown or the 8g on them, all I did was put toner in, looking back it made them stand out a little bit more than the rest. my hair, so I could have redone it if I had the chance, but they still look good. Hello, I'm back and my hair is well styled, there's still a lot to finish but the dyeing part is finally complete and I love it, I know it's not too different, I mean I think it's very different, my roots are the same, but you can see that my hair has much more tone, much more dimensions, there are many different colors now, it is darker.
Underneath, I don't know, it's really cool. I've never had dimensional hair. I've always had one color hair or rooted hair, but I've never had natural blonde. I don't know what this would be like. natural blonde but I like natural colors at the same time, this is what we are working with. I think it will go together really well, like I said. I have all kinds of different pieces in here, so I'll have to plan what pieces I'll use. I was meaning to put where and play around and see what looks best, but I'm really excited to see how it turns out.
Today's part will be applying the extensions to my head and this went pretty well, in fact, it went pretty well. I don't have to like to redo anything with my hair now the colors came out weak, so I've had a lot of extensions done over the years. I have done micro bead extensions. I have enjoyed sewing my own clip in extensions, tape and extensions. There are many different methods for me, but I haven't done DIY extensions due to the pandemic going on right now. It's just not an option for me to get them done, so I've decided to take it upon myself to do it.
Learn everything you can about this application method and just give it a try. I also wanted to point out that bohemi sent me these extensions. This is not like a sponsored video. I am not getting paid for this video, or to say so absolutely. anything they just sent me which is amazing for me to be able to get this done during this time with hand tied extensions like I said I had them done once before and that was the only experience I had with I've watched a lot of videos about This and pretty much what I have gathered is that this is not really something that anyone other than a certified hairstylist or someone who specializes in extensions as a profession should be doing. for themselves or anyone, it is something that is taught in educational classes for stylists, so if you have your cosmetology license and want to expand to extensions, you would attend an educational class to learn how to do this process, something that you pay for. and then you can offer it in your own living room or do whatever yourself with things like that, you know you're not going to find very detailed guides on exactly how to do it yourself at

home

.
I have decided to take care of it myself. To learn as much as you can about this method, obviously without being a stylist and being able to attend specific educational courses, there is very limited information when stylists post videos on YouTube about side extensions and their methods and so on. They're usually very small snippets, which I mean, of course, makes sense because they're paying a lot of money to be able to learn this and they're not going to turn around and give that information away for free, and beyond. I know you don't want this kind of stuff falling into just anyone's hands, the reason it's behind a paywall and a certification wall is because it really is something you need to be trained for, but I've been practicing on myself . for so many years that I feel comfortable and ready to accept the result of whatever I end up as a result of doing my own hair, so I accept responsibility for anything that may happen and that's why I'm okay with moving forward and I'm just trying things and trying to save some money.
What I'm going to do is make a line of beads in my hair, so I'm going to part it in a very specific way and I'm going to take small pieces and attach a bead to those small pieces, so, for example, if this was the piece , I would take the bead and put it here and then I'm also going to take some thread and I'm going to put the thread. the bead and we hold it so that it creates kind of an anchor and then I'm going to repeat that along the entire back of that line that I created and what that's going to do is just create this nice anchor for the extensions so we can having something to sew them on from the outside looking in seems pretty simple and straightforward but I have never done this specific method nor seen it from start to finish, like I said all the videos I have seen are very small. clips and they usually don't show the beginning or end process, it's usually like a small portion in the middle, so I'll try my best to fill in the gaps of what I'm supposed to do there.
I am in no way saying that this is the way to do it or that you should also do this at

home

. This is just a fun experiment for me and I'm trying my best to achieve my hair goals during this quarantine here. so that's what this is going to be about, this is not an instructional video or how you know to break up with your hairdresser and do your hair all at home. Now it's just me experimenting having fun and again, I'm not a professional and don't do what I'm doing unless you're ready to accept responsibility like I am for what the outcome may be.
It could be a disaster. I don't know, but I'll try it and hope it works. so I'm going to show you the tools that I bought in preparation for this process that I found. I think everything on Amazon, some must-haves are beads, so there's brown, black, and blonde, so depending on the color of the hair at the root will determine which one. color account that you're going to use, so for example, my hair is mostly blonde, but at the roots it's quite dark brown, so I'm going to use this dark brown, um, because these are just going to be at my roots and then, Of course, with beads you will also need thread from what I gathered.
There are a few different types of thread you can use. The one I saw people using the most was nylon thread, so that's what I got. I don't really know anything. small hair clips another thing I'm going to need is a bead applicator tool so it's something that looks like this and basically you'll see me use it but the way it works is you take a bead and I've actually seen to many people. like load a bunch of beads in here so you don't have to load them one at a time and then you put the bead on top of the applicator tool like this and you squish it all the way down so this is where you can stack like five or six beads, just you want to put them all in there and then use them as you go and what this will do is make it incredibly easier to be able to get a little piece. of your hair inside this bead, I honestly don't think it's possible to do it without a tool.
Let's say I want to take this strand of hair and put a bead on it, so what I would do is use the wide part of the tool. and I put my hair inside it, so now my hair is inside the tool and if I lift the bead, what it will do is pass my hair through the bead and now there is a bead in my hair and the idea with the extensions is when you put this at the root and you tie a string to it, now it will create, like I said, an anchor and you don't really want to put that tension on your natural hair either because that can cause breakage so the idea with the beads do you want to put them in there and you want to choose them and place them evenly spaced so that the weight distribution is even on all beads and takes the weight off your real hair?
Because you don't want it to be that way. like too heavy in one place and that's because you're going to start to see it break again based on what I gathered uh that's not a fact that's my opinion so we have a bead applicator tool and then with the string You'll need a sewing needle practically across the board. I saw that very large curved sewing needles are used, so something like this where you can hold the string on the inside and then use this in a curved motion to sew and close the bead. I'm going to need pliers, so I have these pliers that come with a set.
They're slightly curved, so it's easy to see what you're doing and not have to push the pliers against your head for whatever reason I'm doing. this now and I'm not explaining it in the video while I'm doing it is because I think it would be too overwhelming for me to try to explain what I'm doing while I'm doing it and also not really knowing what I'm doing so I'm going to try to get it out of the way a little bit of pressure explaining the basis of what I'm doing now so that it makes sense when you see it and then I'm going to show you the time frame in which I do it and probably do a bit of voiceover to reiterate the process as I go.
I'm moving forward, but I'm not really going to talk during this process because it's going to take a while. a long time luckily I spread this out over a few days of work so I just have to do this extension part today and then I'll also trim them and style them, but I figure I'll just put them in and get them. sewing is going to take several hours, probably like three or four hours. I'm just going to watch a movie or listen to some music and tune out and then explain to you guys in voiceover a more condensed version of that process, so I'm not just rambling like I do now, that's really all the tools I'm going to to use to join them.
I still don't know exactly how I'm going to do this in the back of my head without being able to see, we'll see how this goes. I hope for the best and really at the end of the day I'm okay with how it looks, I just don't want to do it so inappropriately that it causes my hair to break. prematurely so I'm really going to try my best to do a casting job and really take my time and be very precise just because like I said I don't want any more hair breakage my hair is very thin and damaged from bleaching and I have a lot of split ends from using heat so I just want to do it right.
I don't want you to get angrier at me than you already are, so let's hope we can get a nice clean application and preserve the health of my hair as much as possible, so I guess let's get started, oh my goodness, okay, again here's just a quick overview of the tools I'm going to use to put these in my hair, the microbeads in brown, some sewing. the needles are curved and big, the nylon thread bead applicator tool, the little hair clips and some pliers, okay, so the first thing is to make a part around my head where the beads will go.
I definitely took my time on this, used a lot of clips. As you can see, I wanted it to be somewhat rounded, so higher in the front and lower in the back, this will be my top row for the top row of extensions. Normally I would start at the bottom and work my way up, as was my intention. to do, I just wanted to trace where I wanted the top and bottom and then I ended up starting at the top anyway, so this is me messing around with that first bead, it actually took me quite a while to figure out the best way.
To get the thread in there, what I ended up doing was taking a long piece of thread and threading it all the way through the sewing needle so that it was in the middle and had both ends together at the end and then I tied it with a knot around the extreme of that, so I had a double string that I was going to use all the time and to start I put the needle through the bead and inserted it between the two strings, I know it's very difficult. I guess it's not easy to explain either, but I think if you just watch the video, it'll be explained a lot easier than if I just talked, so for this one, I'm going to take a strand of hair, I'm going to take that bead applicator tool and I'm going to pull a through of it and before I attach the bead, I'm actually going to take the thread from the first bead and pull it through the top and then as you can see, this is what I was talking about, where I put the needle through the two . ropes so that it creates a kind of knot and then I have to carefully pull the entire rope without it getting tangled around all my hair and tie a knot in the rope itself.
This definitely took some finesse, I undid and remade so, so many. times before I got it going after a while I got the hang of it but you can see the struggle is real on this first bead so now that I have it tight I'm going to take my pliers and hold the bead and you can see I now have a little bridge between bead 1 and bead 2 and the idea is that I'm going to repeat that throughout this part to create that anchor. Now I try to do my best to make them evenly. spaced out um you'll notice that didn't exactly happen but to be fair I couldn't see very well at all and it ended up working so you can see this gave meIt took a lot less time to figure out now that I more or less knew exactly what to do with the string, my goal here is to find a way to feed the thread through the bead exactly the same way each time so that the thread comes out on top every time.
Maybe it would have been easy to weave through the top, out the bottom, and then come back through the top on the next bead, but then the thread would have gone from the bottom of one bead to the top of another bead, so which would have been this kind of diagonal line and I really had to make sure it was a straight line, so it took me a while to figure out how to do it. that, um, but it definitely worked and eliminated all my effort to solve it so you don't have to see it. I'll walk you through that process again slowly once I start the next row and have a better idea. of my method just so you can see again if it didn't make sense the first time, so now I'm just going to create another horseshoe part a couple of centimeters from the first row, so starting at row 2, I slowed it down to normal. speed so I can guide you through the process as best I can.
I took a very small strand of hair, ran it through the bead applicator tool, and lifted a bead to run my hair through the bead. I saw a video where someone trimmed hair upside down while working with string, which actually made it a lot easier to work with since I only have two hands, so I just trimmed it upside down and then grabbed the string the same way. the first one I threw it from. in half and I tied it at the end and then I'm going to run it through the bottom, which would be the top when it's upside down and then I'm going to run the rope through the two pieces to the middle and tighten it all the way down. for it to create a knot around that bead, this was definitely difficult at the beginning, when the rope was very long, I had to be careful not to let it get knotted before reaching the end, so this is the actual speed at which I was doing it throughout the entire process.
This time you can see it created a nice little knot and then once I had it, I was able to let go of the hair now that the string is in and hold the bead tight, so I'm going to go over it one more time at normal speed. I'm just going to take another small section of hair. I'm trying to keep the beads about one to two inches apart as long as they're consistent across the board, so I grab the next strand of hair with the bead applicator tool and then pull one bead up, which just run my hair through the bead, taking it upside down and clipping it to the top so I can have one hand free and not have to hold the bead there while I work with the bead. thread and now I'm going to take my sewing needle and run it from top to bottom, which since it's upside down is actually bottom to top and then you can see I divided the doubled thread in half and fed it.
The sewing needle goes through the middle of the two strings and then I'm going to tighten it completely again using my finger to make sure it doesn't get tangled around my hair or itself and pulling it all the way out. tight and creating a knot around the bead, so with this method it kept the rope consistent where it didn't go up and then down and up and then down. You can see that it creates a straight line through all the beads and that's what I wanted to have a straight line so I can sew the extensions and then I'm going to tighten it and hold the bead and now I'm going to repeat that around the entire line that I made. created.
Off the top of my head, this was actually the biggest inconsistency I made, it was right here between these two accounts. I was trying not to make it go right over my ear so it would be uncomfortable, but I didn't see how big of a difference it was. between the first two and the second two, but the rest I kept pretty consistent, so now that I've finished both rows of beads and thread, I'm going to take the extensions, stack them and type the map where I want them to go, so I'm going to I make two rows of five pieces each and I just stack them and use the clips to hold them together so I can hold them against the row and see how it will actually look before I sew it, so now that I'm happy with the placement it's time to start sewing it. sew, so for this I laid out my thread the same way I did with the beads, where I took a long piece and put it through the Needle and pulled it in the middle so that both ends were touching at the end of the string and the ate I then started sewing this by running the sewing needle through the top and putting it back between the two pieces of string like with the bead and then pulling it tight to create a little knot, so here's a close up in time real so you can see this process a little bit easier so I'm going to take my sewing needle and well first I'm going to pull my thread real tight and then I'm going to take my sewing needle and I'm going to put it through the top and I'm going to pull it out. through the bottom and when it comes out the bottom I'll make sure it's inside the loop that was created so you can see there's that little loop.
I want to run the rope through it and then pull it super super tight up and then I'll keep repeating that very close together, as close together as I can. to make this super secure and then also make sure that the needle goes through the anchored thread that the beads are attached to because of course that's the point of them being there so I'm just going to repeat that process throughout the line of extensions and once I get to the end I'm going to go over it a bunch of times to make sure it doesn't unravel or come loose, so once I'm done sewing the second row I'm just going to tie a bunch of knots in the final to make sure it never comes loose, so now I'm just going to take my hair out of the little bun that it was in and I'm just going to brush it all together. and straighten everything so it's nice and blended, so this is my hair with both rows of extensions straightened.
I haven't cut them at all yet, but just wanted to show. I think the color matches very, very well and feels very good. and secure it so now all that's left to do is cut the extensions to blend with my hair and I want to remove a couple of centimeters from the bottom as I mentioned before get a medium length haircut all that's left to do. Now it's the style, I like to have some nice loose curls in my hair, so I'm going to quickly style them by curling them with my flat iron. If you want a more in-depth tutorial on how I do this, let me know. this is just a quick job, it was really really late and I was exhausted, but this will be the final step before I show you the big reveal, so okay there you have it, that's my hair overall, I think it looks like this.
Well I'm really happy with the color, it has this nice muted beige tone, almost like a honey blonde brown tone and I love it, I love that it has a nice gradient to it, it's super dark on top and nice and light on the side. The bottom is like a cool transition, yeah I love the tone, it's super muted. I will say that it looks very different depending on whether you are inside or outside or if you use artificial or natural light when you are outside. During the day it looks much warmer and much lighter, you can see the blonde much better when you are inside using artificial light, it looks darker and a bit cooler toned but I actually like that it varies. depending on the light in general, I really love the color, I love the lowlights, I mean you know it's not perfect, I wasn't striving for perfection, but I think to be basically free, I do everything myself and I don't have any training or experience in I am super happy with what I was able to achieve and the amount of money I was able to save.
It was actually a very fun experiment. Honestly, it wasn't as hard as I thought it was going to be. will be much more frustrating, I will say that the actual extension part of the process had a huge learning curve that I cut out probably like an hour of my time just playing with the beginning of the bead or the stitching I was doing. Take it out, put it in, take it out and I did it so many different times trying to get the right rhythm. You know, if I put it down and pick it up or pass it through this rope and yeah, without knowing it and without anyone telling me. you or being able to see a visual representation of it left room for a lot of guesswork, so I actually tried something that didn't work and tried something else until I figured out a way that I thought looked more like the examples I was following and seemed like it would make more sense. keep going, so yes, it was tricky to get started, but once I started, it was easy to apply that method to the rest of my head.
I think a big factor was the fact that I spread it out over three different days, I divided it into three work days, but I also put days in between those work days, if that makes sense, so I spent one day just applying the color to the extensions and then I took a few days off and then I spent a day dying my hair and I took a few days off and then I spent another full day putting the extensions in my hair and uh cutting and styling and so on and then obviously I was able to get ready the next day and filming that little hair montage for you guys so I really spread this out to not put so much pressure and workload on myself and obviously with the quarantine right now there's nothing but time so it was really nice to be able to do that and that it was the least pressure I felt like one of these hair

transformation

experiments and yes like I said very happy with the result these extensions are amazing they feel like butter they feel so pretty and blend so well with my hair like if it was just turned to the side like this, it looks like this is the entire length of my hair like you don't know my hair actually ends here and then these are extensions.
They just go together so well I'm in love with these extensions I'm in love with this color I go to sleep I wake up and here they are all ready for the day, it makes me feel so much more ready in the morning when I have nice hair already done. I don't want to continue rambling in this video. I'm sure you're sick of hearing my voice. I know, but I just wanted to recap and tell you a little bit about how I felt. about the whole process in general and how I thought it went and if it was doable and I think you know it's a lot of work and it took a lot of focus and trial and error and just being prepared to accept.
The results don't matter what they are, but I like it. I said I'm super happy with how they turned out. I've never had hair like this before, which is super dimensional and lots of different colors and still on the natural side. things and I just love it, I can't get enough of this hair color and I think as it fades it will change and change and as my bangs grow out it will evolve into something else, maybe I'll add a few more colors but for now I love it . I'm very happy, so let me know if you have any questions about this process or anything.
