I Bought a Crashed JDM Supra In Japan!

Apr 30, 2023
honest with you guys i don't enjoy driving right hand drive but for some reason i'm not driving it enough left hand drive conversion i know it sounds crazy crazy to do it but you know we can buy all the parts we need for the dash and then A lot of the stuff that goes into the dash will still connect the other way and if not the steering rack there are still enough parts on the market for these cars that we could do a steering wheel to dash conversion left in this car. the other thing is i think it will add a lot to the value of the car so getting one of these in the six figure range is there has to be a couple of things the body has to be super super clean obviously it has to be that turbo with a six speed manual transmission and should be left hand drive right hand drive will be significantly cheaper because it looks like you just found a clean one in

japan

and imported it right on top which is obviously what's happening to a lot of people but a lot of collectors don't want a car that looks like it's from Japan and they also don't want to be driving on the wrong side of the road given the damage to this car it would be really really easy to just take my cut off wheel drive by and put a Widebody kit here and then obviously widebody front fenders.

Front body bumper, get a carbon fiber hood and we'd be like very, very quickly getting back on track. The guys here have actually run the engine before saying the engine runs great. It sounds very loud now. wants to do that but i actually want to build this car a bit more of a collector's spec but also i want to keep it for a long time and i really want to drive it for a long time trying to build a car collection of cars that will appreciate its value, increase its value every year so if I don't drive it much that year I don't look back and say oh man it lost as much as my Aston Martin loses value every single year this car will go up in value every year which is really good So with that being said, the game plan for this car as far as the body as we're going to keep things pretty coy, pretty tame, you know, maybe lips and different things like those trim pieces so that it sits.

More Interesting Facts About,

Look good but everything is going back to stock on the body we're going to do we're not going to do a wide body we're just going to replace the side panel you know replace the fenders and bumpers and hood and everything. of those things to make it look good now i think the value would stay higher if we kept it in this silver color but to be honest i'm not a big fan of silver so we can spray it on the engine again . Side of things we have to do more mods we can't just leave it stuck like this it can keep the value higher I'm not really sure but for me it's not worth it because it has a lot of unlocked potential so we'll definitely do it you know?

Single turbo Nice Garrett Single turbo Replaced intake manifold here Improve our clutch and a lot of things I'd like to get this six seven card maybe 800 horsepower I really don't want to rebuild the top end so we're probably going to push it as far as far as we can before we have to fiddle with heads or cams or something. 700 horsepower but in the end this isn't really like it's a horsepower numbers game to me like we have our LS engines and our Huracan and our other cars that we have that we're building to have more horsepower once we have make you like a reasonably very fast but by the same amount, you know faster than a Ferrari, what if it has to be faster than the green Lamborghini, faster than the original Ferrari?

This is a 1995 Supra. If you look at the cars that Ferrari makes in '95, buying a used Supra is more expensive than buying a used Ferrari. They may have noticed that the car came with the wrong wheels. These are our 34. The gt-r wheels that Trevor just told me are on there, they're pretty expensive, so this guy had to wait a bit, like maybe another week, before we can put him in a bin, ya You know, with the estimated travel time. and all of that you have to make sure it's at a legal percentage when it arrives at the US port and it will go to Trevor's store in Texas and then it will come to me so we can expect to see this car probably late March at the latest and then i'm not a hundred senator if we dive right into this build because we've got some other stuff going like LS fest west and some other crazy stuff we're working on but I'll jump into this build pretty quickly but the good stuff It's just now I can see you know the condition of all these things like the different things I want to order obviously the headlights we need a new center mount. all the body panels and all that stuff, you know, we can sort it out and do all the research and start getting all the bits and pieces and once we get it all together the rear quarter panel is going to be a lot of work but once we have do that buttoning up the interior doing the modifications all these other things we want to do are actually not going to be really you know it's not as hard as custom building everything I could say that and you guys have probably seen it especially if follow on instagram we have the other channel behind the build channel so if you want to see you know some of the things we're doing and what parts we're ordering and the different research we do and how you find out you know what's going to be the most cheap what will be the best blah blah blah we will document it on the channel behind the build and if you haven't seen it yet we went to the Tokyo Auto Salon and documented it and that's also on the channel behind the build, so follow us there, subscribe there and yes, it's a good way to see the status of what's going on.
We'll definitely try to do some status update videos on you know where this is. As far as the relationship with the world, is it close to the United States and is it still close to us and which parts have we moved on and all that other stuff? So that's it guys, that's the story of how I
