I Bought a $3 2TB USB Drive and Got More Than Just Malware

Feb 27, 2020
This is a two terabyte USB

drive

that I found on eBay and I'm going to review it and buy it now if you're not familiar. We actually previously purchased a micro SD card that advertises one terabyte. You received many comments about it. In this video we are going to test all the things that this advertises and for $4 that is almost three US dollars, this would be very interesting, so going over the things that I want to review first it says that it is waterproof, let's try it. I want to try that. It also says it's 2 terabytes.

It will also be something to see. I'll get this one

just

for the fact that it actually looks cool, as you know. I think the packaging alone will probably be less than three dollars. I'd pay three bucks

just

for this lovely little USB

drive

, even if it's like a gigabyte, but there's actually no way it's 2 terabytes, so let's check and buy it so it's finally here. a wonderful bag of blurry information, obviously, but for the most part we have a little bag, it's nice. In fact, I say it's proper packaging, so I guess what was this three dollars, six dollars, five dollars?

More Interesting Facts About,

i bought a 3 2tb usb drive and got more than just malware...

It's been a while. Actually, it's been maybe about a month or two months, I'm interested to see what this flash drive looks like, if it at least looks like what we have. I think if it has some decent quality metal, it might be worth the two dollars or so we paid for it. this is how you're supposed to open the packages guys experts here guys it's still the unboxing channel oh wow I'm pretty impressed guys we actually received the packaging so I want to point out a couple of things that just when I was opening this.

I just want to read some of the statements on the back here, it feels good and without a space it has a typo. I don't know if you guys can see it's approximately there, it's 4k guys, you should be able to increase the quality. to see it it feels good without a soft space we are resisting flame retardant I can't say anything to apologize it does not fade the color or turn yellow also it is not harmful to children's skin 24k gold plated copper contact gold plated plug Of 24k the best designated transmission speed today is 418 megabytes per second, that's pretty impressive, so there's a lot of nonsense about this.

I'm interested to see what, so I'll also open this because I'm interested to see how much of this. It's real gold plating, so for an eBay rip-off, it's actually higher quality than I expected. It's actually like a solid USB drive. Now it's time to put this on a computer, and I'm actually going to use the computer here again, so no. I don't have any viruses on my main system. Well, I've got the flash drive here and a very fancy setup, but for the most part you guys should have no problem seeing what's going on, so here's our little flash drive.
Here is the video cable. I just plugged things into the flash drive. Let's connect this end. I'll have to make sure the software is installed, but let's see how many terabytes we have. I think this is connected correctly. Holy shit, actually we have a whole terabyte worth actually two terabytes, sorry, and not only do we get only about 1.9 terabytes, as many people pointed out in the last video, just because we don't have two terabytes, there are many reasons to this and, for the most part, just translation errors, but period. What I was trying to say in the last video, we get a little bit of the storage of what's advertised, what we actually get, which is a better sign than terabyte flash or a flash drive that's not a micro SD card that literally just translated to exactly one terabyte or so, let's see, we can run some tests on this drive to see if it reaches the advertised 512 megabytes per second, see if it is not megabytes, yes, megabytes, what is it advertised at 484 megabytes per second and two terabytes? is actually what we can use, so you guys suggested some things back from the last video and we're going to go through and use some of the programs that you guys suggested to see how good it is.
Well, the first thing I did was I checked it and we ran Crystal Disk Mark, which is a software used to compare the speeds at which the disk grows now, obviously, with this wonderful advertised speed of 480 megabytes per second, I just had to be sure whether this or not. I would say nonsense, complete nonsense or quite interesting and the story does not end here sadly because now of course there are

more

such videos, so we not only run the test, we get 20 megabytes per second, which is shown later in this video. it literally makes no sense and you'll see why but you have 20 megabytes per second on a good day and it advertises 480 gigs or megabytes per second and you have 10 megabytes per second but it actually works fine okay then. let's see how much storage we have to work with because obviously if we pay our three dollars on this USB drive, how much physical storage we're going to get, so we did this.
I made H to test W, which is a piece of software. You guys recommended it from the micro SD video and you know we booted it up and started running the test and at that time I wasn't very familiar with the software. Now I got a little better, but I didn't realize what it was. Saying no was simply saying yes, the drive has no physical storage. I'm sitting down again. Nothing, which also doesn't make sense because later in this video it makes even less sense, so at least it has no physical storage, let me. rephrase, you don't have physical storage that you can access, you have physical storage, maybe it's malicious physical storage, but you have physical storage, so not only do we have no physical storage that we access, but it's taking up 20 megabytes per second , right, nothing is running. air, which is interesting, but well, let's see what happens a little further ahead, you guys look at this train wreck.
Hey guys, I just got back from my classes today, it's actually been about a day since I was working on this project and I went to go. check my files to start the test again because the test took longer than I expected and all my files from the last one since I went, I built this so maybe two weeks here they disappeared like they came out of nowhere yeah everything It's pretty good. They disappeared except for the shortcuts to the software. I don't know if they do that, they even work, they do the short Christian work, yeah okay this works, but my photos, music videos, like all my files are gone, so I'm going to go read and download this real quick. there's the drive out the window and yeah, yeah, now when you download a file, it just disappears from the Downloads folder, yeah, so download it using Edge history, dive into the history here, yeah, let's download it, try open it and watch it disappear, guys, no.
I don't even know what love

malware

will be, this won't make me very happy that I didn't connect this to anything important, okay, oh look, it just disappears, instantly deleted. Tom status, Microsoft Edge downloads, downloads, poof, so to answer this question, how big is it? the storage device, well we could say a couple of things, we could say it's probably, I guess, but given that anything you put this USB drive on it pretty much instantly protects all the files. I've actually done this a couple of times, so it's been a bit and I actually got all the parts for this USB drive, so it looks like how this was made is we have the casing, the metal casing, which in It's actually surprisingly high quality, some kind of decent metal, you have the USB stick itself, which has no data on it. modules on it, this is literally just a damn flat PCB that appears to have four contacts and two small contexts on the back and somewhere in this they have stored how much data the size of here is supposedly two terabytes that there actually is No There's not a single Dajjal data module here, so that really means there's also a little bit of plastic, probably like it's really cheap, it actually feels like, um, I know it's a disposable piece that you take out, like the floss or whatever, before you use it, that's what it feels like.
I like it, but yeah, I basically sat there and used it, and this thing is full of every type of

malware

. Hopefully it makes me wonder how they got the malware in there or how they managed to delete the files as soon as you downloaded them. delete all the files that were there without having any main storage here which must mean it must be a pretty simple file but I digress that's the USB drive and I'm going to take this apart into pieces because someone will come and be an idiot and connect this to someone important anyway that's why you guys watch these videos right and watch me do stupid things and get viruses on my computer because you like to see that.
I like the video because this one has literal malware on the USB. driving for two bucks is pretty interesting so literally for two bucks I unplugged it the cable took a while it's not plugged in so for a beautiful I think it's like three or four bucks whatever you pay for this you would know that It was cheap. it's not worth two terabytes, you get malware on a USB drive. I appreciate a like if you enjoy it, have a good day, bye.
