Feb 27, 2020
Hello everyone and welcome back to my channel. I hope you're enjoying this little backdrop I put together for today. I wanted to get some Christmas vibes and in today's video I'm going to share it with you and try a new organization

method

that I came across on Pinterest of all places. I don't hear people talk about Pinterest much anymore, but I still use it. Do you guys still use it? I think you can even follow me there. It is faster. Beauty. It is faster. Beauty for all. social media and make sure you are also subscribed to my channel if you like home and lifestyle content that's what I do here so with all that being said let's move on to this

method

so first about the method ingenious that I found on Pinterest because there were all these beautiful photos of organizing and under

neat

h it said the tidy method, so I finally clicked on it and went to their website and learned a little more about them, so it's a group of

organize

rs professionals, their method has five main elements. and what I really like about this is that it's very simple, it can be applied to

anything

you need to

organize

in your home and I think the fact that it's so simple makes it really memorable and easy to follow, so it's the first element of any organizational system.

It is ordering because you first have to decide what you want to keep and organize in the first place, so its first principle is to love it or lose it. They have a very simple method for deciding what to keep and what to keep. You're going to get rid of it and it's similar to the Connemara method. Basically, I love it. If not, you get rid of it and they also recommend doing all your organizing tasks by category instead of by room, so instead of just doing your closet. you would choose, let's say, your shoes and you would gather all your shoes from around your house, maybe they are in your closet, upstairs, downstairs, in your garage, in your car, you would round up all your shoes and then you would go through them one by one and ask.

Ask yourself the question: do I love this pair of shoes? If not, then they will donate them personally. The number one question I ask myself when deciding what to order or not is: have I used this item in the past year? in that moment that he has gone through. all seasons and if you haven't even used it or thought about it in a year then to me it's worth donating so that's my personal framework. This is another. I know a lot of people swear by it, though really it's whatever works for you. Well principle number two is pin it to win it so the next step is to contain the newly ordered items and what they say here is that visibility is key, the easier the item is to see the more likely you are to use it.

A particular problem in many people's homes is their canned goods. If they are all on the same plane, you won't be able to see everything you have, so what they recommended here was a tiered can organizer. found one on Amazon and I have to say I really like having it, it makes it so much easier to keep an inventory of everything I have and principle number three is the love of labeling and I have to say I relate to this on a spiritual level. because if you watch my channel you'll know that I'm obsessed with my label maker now with the

neat

method, a lot of the photos I saw with their item labels use chalkboard labels with really beautiful handwriting.

I have bad handwriting so I always opted for a label maker and recently upgraded to this new label maker which has different fonts and sizes so I can get the most out of my labeling. Labeling takes your organization to the next level when you have guests over. You can easily find items or know where to put them, and most importantly, it encourages everyone in your home to follow the system, so one organization challenge I have in my home is all of Carter's toys and any whatever Ryan tries to put. away, he doesn't know where they go and pieces get lost and it's a big mess, so I decided to try this labeling method with Carter's toys.
I labeled all the different types of toys in his toy bin and we're going to put it to the test, so let's see if Ryan is able to correctly identify and put Carter's toys back where they belong, based solely on the system of toys. labelled. Ok, let's go. I have a squishy bouncy alien ball, trucks, books, animals, Legos, other animals, rabbits, cars, cars, not trucks, but it's close enough to the little blue thing, does this go to other animals? I think we're going to have to leave because that's not an animal, that's an alien. Principle number four is organized from top to bottom in your kitchen and other storage areas, the highest items should be the items you use less frequently because they are not easily accessible and when it comes to your closet, they recommend going from the top down in terms of your wardrobe, so keep your blouses, shirts, and jackets on the top shelf. your closet and on the bottom shelf you put the skirt of your pants to hang the leggings.
I have this tiered hanger, so I think you can hang up to six pairs of leggings from one hanger. It really helps consolidate them and save space in your closet, so I love this. For folded items they recommend a file folding method which again is similar to with Mari and that's something I never ended up fully adapting so we'll try it again and the main reason they recommend this method is because it goes back to back. For visibility when your clothes are displayed vertically in this file folding method, you'll be able to better see everything you have, not just the things that are on top, so to file your shirt folds, tuck your arms and fold them in half and in half.
Again, it's very simple and then you just stack your items in a drawer or a basket like this and you can see here that everything is visible and if you take out one shirt, all the others stay in place and you can replace them as well. Place it and put it back easily and the fifth and final principle of the tidy method is to have a special system for problem areas, so do a little assessment of your home, where areas of clutter and clutter always tend to accumulate, and that's what you need. prioritize having a system, but not just a system, a role for who is responsible for what in maintaining the system, so what I noticed in our house is that every time we walked in the door, you walked straight into the isle of the kitchen and you would put all our trash in there and then it would just be a clutter zone, so what I did was I created a command center right in front of where you walk in and there's a place there to put your keys, shoes, purse, everything you need. need in one place and I show this command center and how I put it together in a recent video, but it's been working very well as a system in place to eliminate our main source of clutter, so that's the essence of the ordered method, like I said , it's very simple, just five principles you can follow to organize

anything

in your home and, yes, overall, I really enjoy it.
I recommend that you try it yourself and if you have heard of any new cleaning or productivity methods or systems that you can use. If you were curious to see me, give it a try, then let me know in the comments, let me know what you think about this method and also before we go, I just want to let you know in case you haven't seen it yet. I have a second channel now, which is all about children's learning and different mom related topics, it's something I've wanted to do for a while, so if you haven't subscribed or watched it yet, it's called Carter's corner, I'll leave a link to it below and I just published my second video, so it's all about saying it, thank you very much as always for watching and see you soon with a new video, bye.
