I took out some balloons. I measured them beforehand to make sure they would fit the container I wanted to put them in. Of course, you can make them any size if you don't plan on putting them in a container to make my Easter

eggs

. I'm going to need some twine and some Mod Podge. I also need a container to put it in while it dries, so I'm going to put my Mod Podge in a plastic container. I have seen this also done with Elmer's glue. You should use whatever you have on hand, I think they'll all come out pretty much the same, so I'll take my twine and put it in the Mod Podge.

This was a really messy craft and after starting I wish I had put it together. on a piece of paper or something to protect my table because I had to scrape off the Mod Podge at the end, so make sure you put something on first. I'll make sure my thread is fully saturated with the Mod Podge and guys later. When I finished this, I realized that it is easier to do it in lengths between three and four feet, so if you have a very large balloon you will want to use smaller pieces of thread, the reason being that we don't want it to get tangled at this time . step once you have the thread completely covered with the Mod Podge, I'm just going to wrap it around the balloon and as you can see I'm using my finger to remove the extra Mod Podge as I wrap it like this. no gobs and gobs of Mod Podge on the balloon and when I did it with a longer thread it got really tangled and I had to go through it and untangle it as I went so I would say if you have a really big balloon that you're using use probably three to five feet and then cut it and you can always add more lengths as you go so I'll continue to wrap it over and over in a pattern making sure to remove the excess Mod.
Podge and if I need to add a piece I'll just put it on a piece of twine that's already there, hold it down and smooth it out right there and then with my new piece, make sure you're looking. for any opening you don't have thread just to cover it all and once you have it as thick as you would like, that's it, you're going to put it in a container and let it dry now. I needed to make three, so here are my three and as they dry, you'll want to rotate them so that any parts that are in the container can also be exposed to air to dry eighteen to twenty hours later.
I am back. and they were completely dry because I used Mod Podge. These were pretty tough. I don't think they will break anytime soon, which is great because I think they will last for many years, so I'm just taking my balloons and cutting them out. them so that the air can be released from inside the balloon and I'm going to go back and separate the balloon from the thread now guys what I love about this craft is that you can use thread, you can use thread, you can use whatever you want to get the color combinations you like.
I wanted a really natural looking bird's nest type look with this so I went with yarn, but you can use any color you want. This craft is as versatile and as you like. I'll see when I put it in my Easter basket it could look great in a variety of colors so use your imagination now mine had a little bit of white on it because there was paint on the little pots I was putting them in. I just took them off, they came off easily and then some parts of the egg with a lot of Mod Podge had the Mod Podge in the middle which looked like a really beautiful stained glass effect, you can leave it if you want but I broke it. above because like I said I wanted this to look like a bird's nest, now you can leave them like that and use them as table decorations.
I wanted to cut a hole in them because I need a lot of chocolate from my Easter basket, so I opened mine up to give it more of an open shell look on my egg and I was thinking about just blowing it up and cutting a circle out, but that usually doesn't work out so well for me. okay, so I drew a circle using a marker or a pen. and then I followed the outside edge of one that I had drawn to make sure I cut out all the marker that I put there and I just cut it into a circle shape, now if you want an even smoother look, you can print.
Draw a circle on your printer and simply trace it so that each egg has the exact same size opening. I just looked at it and made openings in my three eggs, this took a bit of muscle because like I said the Mod Podge dried out. pretty difficult, but I was able to get through it with a good pair of scissors and then I had three open eggs, so now that I've shown you how to make the eggs, I'm going to go ahead and show you how I laid my Easter. basket together I bought this tin pot from Dollar Tree.
I love how they look. I have made many crafts with these and today I am going to use it for my Easter basket. I used celery chalk paint and painted the inside and the outside I wasn't really sure how this was all going to turn out so I made sure to paint the inside in case it could be seen and then I used some sandpaper to give it more of that worn and rustic look. I grabbed some candle holders now. I want this Easter basket to be full of decorations so not only is it full of delicious chocolate but also things that my mom can use in her house so I know she likes these candle holders so I'm just going to paint them .
It won't really look like much, but when you open your basket you'll have some nice decor pieces that you can use around her house. I painted my candlesticks with white chalk paint and now I'm back with black chalk. paint and do a dry brush technique, which means I'm just putting a little bit of paint on my brush, wiping most of it off and going back along the edges to give it a weathered and worn look, then just to add a little further. Easter fun. I'm going to take these bunny ornaments and paint them with my artesia metallic acrylic paints.
I like that they are small ornaments so even after the holidays are over my mom can use them around the house and I love that this type of metallic paint. It looks like a chocolate wrapper so I thought this would fit perfectly so now that I have all my pieces painted I'm going to show you how I put the Easter basket together because of the size of this 10 that I could. Candelabras with the right side up do not fit. I'm gluing them on with a little hot glue. These will come out easily, but they will give you a little stability for when you carry them before giving them to you. her so I'm putting them upside down just so they fit a little bit better and then for the middle one I wanted to have a little more height so I made sure my egg fit on the bottom. and then I'm going to use this little flower pot that I'm going to glue to the bottom of my ten to give the middle egg a little more height once I was sure it looked the way I wanted.
I used a little more hot glue and put it all together once I had everything glued together. I used some of this Easter egg basket herb that I bought at Walmart. You don't really have to use this. After finishing, I realized that you really won't be able to. to see the background, but like I said, I was playing with it as I went, so I filled the background. I think whoever you give this to would be even more excited if you filled the bottom with chocolate next. and I added some pretty

spring

flowers and then I used some hot glue to add my strip eggs to my Easter basket and now it's time for the fun part of adding the chocolate so these are just some golden eggs I found at Walmart.
I think they were about a

dollar

a package. They also have eggs at Dollar Tree and depending on the color of the main

string

eggs, you can use any color of chocolate eggs. Next I'm going to put my ceramic bunnies that I painted directly on their chocolate lined bird necks and I think they turned out great, that metallic paint really goes well with the chocolate eggs I put in the bottom of the basket, if you want a little more For security, you can use some small velcro dots. or self-adhesive dots just to keep them in place.
Next I'm going to give my mom a big chocolate bunny. I think this will be her favorite part of this gift, but I didn't like that red bow she had on. I swapped it out with some ribbon I had that was pink and gold to match the color of the Easter basket. I tied it and then used a little hot glue on the bow to hold it together once I had it. When I was done, I put a little more paper grass on the egg after I finished everything, added some greenery and covered it for the most part, but I think it would look cute either way.
I added my chocolate bunny directly into my

string

egg and that was it for the most part. I went over it again and added a few more flowers and some greenery. I love how it turned out. I love that there is chocolate in there, which is my mom's favorite. I love that she was able to prepare this for Easter and even afterward she can do it. Take it out and use these candle holders all

spring

long. I love how it turned out. I love how this gift will keep on giving throughout the spring season so I hope you liked it and now it's time to eat so I wanted to. make edible Easter baskets and if you ever wonder if everything crafters on YouTube make turns out exactly as planned, that's not the case and this is an example instead of doing it the way I normally did, I saw something interesting at Walmart and I was like let me take this and try it and then like 20 minutes later after struggling with this edible weed I thought there's an easier way but it came out so pretty so I wanted to show it to you and I hope you like it. and you might even be able to add it to your menu for little Easter treats.
After you're done watching, head over to the clueless Mama DIYs channel and watch their video on Easter baskets. Well, guys, it's time to eat, so here's a fun one. idea for an Easter gift. I'm going to start with these Reese's Peanut Butter Cups and I'm using some chocolate cookie frosting for the glue now, after I've completed this I think a little melted chocolate might have given it a little better grip but For what I needed it for, this was great. Now I'm going to use some of this edible herb. I have never used this before and it is very cute.
I think it would look great on larger cakes, but for some small things it really was. It's quite difficult to get it to the size I needed, so if you're going to make one or two, try it with edible grass, if you're going to make a lot of these I think it would take too long, another option. I would use some melted chocolate or even some buttercream frosting with a grass tip in the frosting bag. Next, I'm going to use some Twizzlers to make a handle for my basket, so I had to cut this in half because the twizzler was too much. large, if you have the pull and ring type you can cut them at this link you want and the width is probably already perfect for it or you could use any other type of candy you can think of that looks like a handle I'm just going to use a some of my cookie icing to put on some glue to stick my handle to my candy basketof Easter.
Then I have these little mini eggs and I'm just going to put one or two in my basket. Now at this point I realize that I probably should have put the eggs before the mango, but that's okay, it was an easy fix. I think it ended up looking really nice, but the grass was frustrating me so I decided to make a few more using green. cookie frosting like I said you can also make buttercream or chocolate so I went through the same process. I added the green for my grass, added some eggs, used the chocolate glaze to put the handle on my basket and that was it, this method was a lot. faster and I think it tastes just as delicious.
My kids thought they were cute, but they have nut allergies, so unfortunately these treats were all for me. I hope you enjoyed these crafts today. I think my mom will really love this, let me know. in the comment what do you think, what other ideas would you have on how I could put together an Easter basket for adults and also let me know if you want to see some Easter basket ideas for kids, if you liked this video please give it a like. and thank you very much for watching my video see you next time we repeat it all again
