It's more important to have valuable content and entertaining, inspiring or educational content, rather than having this huge production and set on YouTube. So let's dig deeper. Number one is lighting. I say if people can hear you and see you, that's really the basis of a good video. You don't need to overcomplicate the process and right now we don't have professional lights, this is all coming from natural light and the window right in front of me and behind the camera. We have the Diva-Lite, but we are not using it at the moment. here too. Say hello Ayla?

The team is here working today. Whether you're using an iPhone to film, which I'm also going to film here to show you, whether you're using an iPhone or a professional DSLR camera, it doesn't really matter. Just know that the light source should be in front of your face, because it looks good. This really doesn't look that good. Trick number two is framing. The only thing this means is that people can see certain things in the frame of your video, so you just need to

make

A random person appears in the video. How do you frame your videos correctly when you're just starting out and you're only using, say, an iPhone? All you have to do is get closer to the camera, or closer to your phone, and take a few test shots to make sure there's nothing behind you to distract you. The really easy way to do this at first, when you're just starting out, is to make sure you're filming in front of a white wall, or filming in front of a fairly plain background, and close the door behind it. Again, no random person, cat, or dog appears in your video.

Trick number three is the audio. You want to make sure people can see and hear you, obviously. It's a video. You need to make that clear and you don't necessarily have to buy a fancy microphone. Again, when you're just starting out making videos from home and want them to look professional, all you have to do is make sure there's no background noise. Close the windows, turn off the TV, turn off any possible distracting noises or background hums to make sure the audio is really clear. Now if you want to get a microphone, we have some options below this video in the description that are affordable and are really great options for you to shoot professional videos from home and make it easy for you whether you're using a phone or a camera elegant of some kind.
Let's do a quick test of the microphone I'm using now. This is what the audio sounds like with the microphone I'm wearing now. This is what the audio sounds like with just the camera microphone. It's not a huge difference, but as you get a little more success and start to grow, I totally understand and recommend investing in better equipment, but for now and to get started, just start with what you have. Tip number four is an instant tripod. what do I want to say with that? Well, you just have to make sure your camera doesn't shake, because that's very distracting and obviously doesn't look professional.
You want to make sure you have stability with your camera, but if you don't have a tripod, what are you supposed to do? Well, I'm going to show you what I started with. Step number one: Look for anything that has a flat surface. Step number two: stack some books on top of each other. Step number three: place your computer on top of those books. If you want to use your webcam, you can, or you can just place your phone on your computer and use it. Making professional videos at home isn't so much about having all the right equipment or emphasizing the technical aspects and all that, because it can be very overwhelming at first.
Just start with what you have. It's less about having the stuff and more about being super creative with it.
