How to make 900whp in a Jeep Trackhawk (Part 1)
Feb 27, 2020first step for Jenna on the hawk track we had to install the smart cable from the hp tuners which was very easy it was right in the passenger side foot well we got it now we can upload the tune we will send this by email to HP tuners and we are going to stay overnight with our new PCM tomorrow and we will be ready to mod this Hawk track so I am very excited to have the Hawk track tuned and all the mods done we are going to go over the mods here, in just a second i got everything either from the pulleys to the exhaust all the injectors we're going to check all the
part
s we're going to install on the hawk track and it should put us on the 850 al to the pit i say to the rear wheels but really all horsepower at the wheels.I'm not used to saying all wheel horsepower but it should be around 850 all wheel horsepower and it will
make
this a beach right now it's probably hovering around 600 so another 250 horsepower power at the wheels on top of what we've already been running on these tracks the falcons are definitely a rocket on the street and this level of power and then we're also going to install and see those triple five bars up there we'll also install them on all four wheels original because I actually have some other wheels in the future that I'm just going to use street tires on so the stock wheels will become the new race wheels and we're going to have 5r Nitto triple skid rails on all four corners , we also have a lot of suspension accessories coming for this hawk track also this thing is going to run nines I know it will and we are going to do some different things Before a lot of other Mopar guys aren't doing on these Hawks trackspart
icularly one thing and we'll get to that every time we do the install video below okay so we'll get some 1,300 CCD torque injectors that'll pop them open these they're for track correction they're 1500cc injectors of DEET we're going to put them on the track or go to the shelf connectors and all it has is the thermostat i think it's a 160 degree thermostat here's the supercharger pulley it has a 285 grip tech pulley see your grip tech on your spark plugs we have the quarters performance expansion tank all pre-made lines all going to go the back of the fan this helps with coolant temps inside the supercharger of course Hormuzmake
s them from scratch as you can see I have this CPR logo I just have it sitting there to make sure everything fits it works one with leg maker input. but it looks like it all lines up perfectly sitting there it fits good looks good in the engine bay here are all the hoses and everything pre-made with all the factory connectors and everything you need to make the thermal expansion work on the hint I also got our Mighty Mouse catch-can here I have all the accessories it even came with some of the factory accessories which is nice it comes with a mounting bracket and then the cans here I go ahead and get it out of here like that you guys can see it has the can't here it has the brand made in the USA a good quality product there all the accessories and everything for the catch can then we put our bottom pulley down here West from innovators will be right there he's got his new pin kit that clips into the crank like that this thing doesn't turn on the crank which is nice to have good west innovative products so there's something a little different here too we going to put an alkie methanol injection kit on the track hawk a lot of guys haven't done this but we have done it on the zl1 and it made a world of difference to IE tees and getting the thing to work really well on the track so we're going to put this kit in July dal key control makes a Hellcat kit and that's the kit we're going to use at the track Hawk uses the wash tank reservoir to put the methanol and we around pure methanol through this thing mixed with an 85 and then when we're at the track we'll be running it firing up a 90 in the tank so with the benefit of this and the e85 this Track Hawk will be a surefire runner when we take it to the track. we're going to be doing it at the hawk track we're going to start here real soon and then we're going up on the dyno to see how much power it makes on all the new mods so we got the medeco tool to remove the factory muzzle pulley from the hellcat supercharger that's what we're doing right now so this piece here holds the rear this holds the front that way we can remove the pulley and then we have our brand one grip that it's going to replace okay so here are the two pulleys this thing is heavy I mean I bet it's ten pounds this is a standard pulley this is a new grip technology one easily weighs 1/4 of what the pulley does and this will just thread onto the muzzle and then we use the same tool tighten it up see we got this snapped in here and yeah we're ready to get this one it's on and tight so we got the wrong pipes from kooks that's four Kooks heads as you can see we need that flange up style on the front so please wait for the cooks calls that way we can get the connecting pipes right and we can end up doing that installation on the track so we got the pulley on it's a 285 pulley we still have to put the bottom one on we still have the original on the bottom we're going to put the west innovators on the bottom we've got the blower back to everything bolted on The details work. 1500 CC injectors throughout.Everything went well. New spark plugs are in everything. Go there, alright guys over here, I just tuned in today, check it out at the Jeep track and it's pretty much all done. I'm going to go through everything we did from start to finish so you can see how to make a 900 horsepower track. easy and very few mods check this out so this Cortés has got really nice bolts on here at this factory location it's made to go with the leg maker input just so you know guys it has lines going through here and then on the factory intercooler. the pump piping there doesn't run behind the intake it runs to the rubber lines which are located just down there very nice setup from Cortis performance cornice performance is actually where we order pretty much everything since we got the pulleys from them we have got it the problem.
Can we get the heat exchanger from them? All kinds of sweets. We also put a thermostat in the one right behind that casing. spark plugs per cylinder so you have to put 16 spark plugs in these Emmy's and then once we get the meth we'll put the meth nozzle right here it's going to spray an icy myth in that bl ower and it should do a really nice upgrade Ok we did everything we installed the upper catch-can pulley got the lower innovators west pulley there like 10% lower this is a 2 8 5 upper got all new spark plugs. I got the quarters performance heat expansion tank.
It is filled with coolant just for the blower to help with lower temperatures. Obviously, I got input from the leg maker. We ended up gutting the cat underneath. on time so we went ahead and just gutted the factory jacks we already had them and then we'll probably end up buying some kooks heads for them we already have the kooks heads connecting the pipes that are for the kooks heads we didn't know when we ordered them so we'll probably go ahead and do the headers right so we put the D Torx 59 SEC injectors on so we got that ee 85 in the tank we just kind of got some sort of boot tune on it the windshield washer fluid lights come on because we are waiting on our alkie tank which will basically make all of those things work for our alkie kit that we are going to put in we have everything on it pretty much just hoping that julio tank on the lp control sounds a little different without the cats got a bit deeper sound and of course we still reviewed it in July, because we still have some tweaks that we got due to or to that we just started tuning it so we just have a start tuning like y'all i know these have factory wide bands so basically you control an airfield where it needs to be and the factory computer does the rest it's pretty much like it's kind of holly which is really cool the new mustangs are the same way so we've been doing that we've got the airfield set around eleven past seven that's where we're going to put it so we've been driving it puts out about 19 and a half pounds of boost it's 150 mph that's nineteen and a half pounds of boost which is crazy more boost so we thought this was going to do what's crazy for pulleys 285 top and 10% bottom on this thing, so basically this thing is going to make about 900 horsepower to the rear wheels.
We don't have a dyno with all-wheel drive. destroy anything is you can take out the transfer case module and take out the two ABS fuses under the bonnet which will allow you to get it running rear wheel drive if you need the dyno just make sure when you're done England die knowing it's necessary crank it up to about 40 miles an hour and then start from 40 miles an hour because they'll wake up the computer if you just hit Ralph the bat on the dyno but we're going to energize this saying probably in the next few days it's New Year's Eve today and just we're tidying up a few things under the engine bay just driving around to make sure it's okay before we really strap it down to the dyno and do some yanking on it but it feels really strong just driving it down the street and we'll have a next video of us dying doing it and then we take him out for a spin.
We appreciate that you have followed this compilation. I wish I could have gotten more pictures for you guys, but this is what we had and were busy trying to get. It all ended up great thanks for tuning in here in Kansas City for taking care of the track construction guys be sure to like and subscribe to the page. to racing by taking it to events we are also working on the c7 and we should have a new engine for it to arrive later this month in january. I'm looking forward to putting that car together and going out this season racing that as well.
