If you want to learn a little more about your daily makeup routine and how to look flawless and beautiful, let's get started. So before we put on any makeup products today, you guys are the first step to a makeup routine, it's usually the preparation and the The number one question I get when it comes to makeup is how do I do my makeup without look cakey and textured? Gross, I'll talk about primers in a few seconds, but it's the one step that is absolutely vital to any good product. Makeup routine is

care and the way I always like to prep my

skin

before doing makeup or before videos is with a moisturizer.

I'm probably going to blow your minds right now Well, maybe not, I hope you guys are a lot smarter than I was when I started wearing makeup. But you never know, I certainly didn't know that oily skin is not the same as hydrated skin. It doesn't matter what your skin type is, even if you were dripping body oils every day, ew. But I can relate on a spiritual level, you need to hydrate your skin very, very well before you start your makeup routine. Bursting water on your face is really It's really important while you're doing your makeup because after you put on a million pounds of powder foundation, setting spray, highlighter like the whole thing, it really sucks the life out of your skin, so having a good moisturizer Underneath it all it's really important.
how to get perfect skin with makeup
Keeping everything hydrated and locked in place is very, very vital. Personally, I love Tatcha water cream. This is my all time favorite. But I will say that it is very, very, very expensive and definitely not an affordable product for everyone. I would just say look for a good moisturizer recommended by a dermatologist. That will work best for you and your skin type, but no matter what your skin type is, I would definitely recommend a good water gel moisturizer. And it really makes everything much smoother and preserves the life of your face and your makeup. go in my knuckles and grab a little bit from there and just put a few spoonfuls on my face.
I washed my hands before I started filming this video. And I'm just going to rub this all over. The next step will be a Primer and for today's video I am going to talk about the benefits of Porefessional Primer. I don't really use primers that often, but when I do I always use this one. It's one of my all-time favorites. And this is a silicone-based primer. Obviously it's called porefessional, so because of the silicone, this will act as a sort of barrier between the moisturizer that you just applied to your skin and all the makeup that's protecting your skin and the silicone will fill in your pores.
I'm just going to take a small pea-sized portion. I'm going to place this foundation on the areas where I have more skin texture and pores and that's going to be right here in the cheek region, right in the middle of the forehead. and on the chin. What I'm not going to do is put it on my nose. And I'll explain why in a few seconds you know. I live, I live, I live, I live for a good sister. I love contouring my nose. It's probably one of my favorite steps in my entire makeup routine. We'll talk about the outline later in the video.
But one question I get asked all the time is how do I get my foundation to stay on my nose? And I guess it's probably people with oily skin who ask this question. And this is something I used to struggle with all the time. But I have a little trick for you and it has really saved my nose. I contour when my skin is oilier and it gives me a lot of problems. Basically what we're going to do here is what I like to call primer on the nose, so I didn't put any primer on my nose because I feel like it.
Many times the Primer on the nose makes everything slide and slide, which is obviously the opposite of the goal. So I'm going to take a high coverage, full coverage concealer, which I would normally use like a Mac Paint Pot or a benefit type of boing concealer, something very, very creamy and heavy. I accidentally can't find any of those today, so I'll grab my iconic London contour palette. These are just cream contour shades. And I'll probably choose this right shade. Here with a more compact brush and what I'm going to do is literally go all over my nose and really pack this in.
I know this may seem absolutely ridiculous and crazy. Please don't do this if you are looking for light coverage every day. makeup look. This is for people with heavy makeup. You'll look absolutely ridiculous with this on, but I know it looks crazy right now. But adding this first layer of concealer around the nose region will really add like a reinforcing layer when it comes to foundation. Later, if the foundation wears off throughout the day, it will wear off the concealer underneath. Another question I also get all the time when it comes to the nose is if you wear glasses, how do you keep those two little ones from coming off?
Circles on the sides of your nose and ruining your makeup? No, that's why I wear contact lenses, so the next type is going to be a foundation and for today's video I'm going to use the Too Faced Born This Way foundation. Personally, I'm into the nude shade. I really love the formula. I think it looked very, very beautiful on my skin, at least obviously everyone's foundation routine will be a little different. But the only thing I would like to point out about this is that before I put it on, is that This is a silicone based foundation, just like our silicone based foundation, all the ingredients of all the makeup products are always listed , like Sephora and Ulta, and if you're someone who struggles with your makeup routine, you'll definitely want to look at the ingredients.
You don't want to mix a water-based foundation with a silicone-based foundation or vice versa because that will cause a chemical problem that will cause your makeup to separate and streak and obviously we don't want that so be sure. Its ingredients combine very well and complement each other. I'm going to apply the foundation to my face using a damp Beauty Blender. All I did was soak this under the sink in hot water and then drain it very, very well. Personally, really. I really love how sponges apply foundation to the face, and I prefer a sponge over a brush.
I know one thing you guys ask me all the time is that you love my full coverage look. But they just can't wear that much makeup. your face and I definitely don't blame you wearing this full coverage and heavy makeup is definitely an option to say the least so I definitely love sponges instead of brushes to apply foundation because they absorb a little bit of the product and somehow . It really pushes it into the skin which gives you a much more natural skin look as opposed to a brush that just pushes it everywhere and often gives you blending issues as well.
Sponges completely 100% another question I get asked all the time. The timing of foundation application is how do I find the right one? foundation for my skin tone and while I may not be the best person to ask for it, we all know why there is one little trick or hack I learned that literally changed my makeup game forever and I will always be grateful for it. That is, never look at foundation samples in a makeup store. Literally, let's be real. We've all had situations where we've tried a new foundation or concealer at a makeup store and it looked just as good as a

perfect

match in the store when you buy it and then go home after spending your hard-earned coins. in that product, you put it on and the color is not even close to the tone close to your skin, the lighting from those sources deliberately dim and soft, giving your skin a very blurry tone. similar effect And it's also very warm lighting that tends to make many different makeup products appear to be the exact same color.
My best recommendation for you if you are looking for a new skin product will be to go to makeup stores. Bring a small compact mirror and use it to see the colors of your foundation. Don't use your phone's camera because it won't give you the same effect. But look for a few different foundations that are all similar to what you are looking for. Think what it can be your skin tone and then show them all on your face, side by side. And make sure you remember what order they are in. And then, once you've seen everything, leave Sephora.
Get out of that enlightenment. Walk outside, obviously. don't steal foundations And then map out your compact mirror and your type of look and once you're in the natural light Then you make a decision on which shade you think will look best on you And I promise you'll get much better results this way because there's no irregular lighting that gets in your way. Our next step will be the concealer. So I'm just going to apply this as usual right under my eyes and in the center of my face to brighten everything up and to the max. The popular question I get with concealer is how do I put it in place and make sure it doesn't look cakey and creased?
The shape of your concealers is my all-time favorite because their full coverage blends easily, but feels very, very light. the skin. I will say that although it is drying, I have oily skin so this works

perfect

ly well for me. But if you have dry skin, a concealer like this will be your worst nightmare. And that's why it's so important to research different formulations or products beforehand. A really great alternative that I love for days when I have drier skin is the Becca aqua luminous concealer? It's kind of medium coverage, but it blends beautifully and has a very, very hydrating kind of formula.
I love it for doing wet looks or also if I don't wear any makeup and just want to hide some. pimples It's really great before I go in and blend under my eyes to get rid of wrinkles. I'm going to have my setting powder ready, my personal favorite is actually a mix of the Laura Mercier translucent setting powder and the Too. Sweet peach setting powder with ooh face. That's a mouthful. I discovered it in my video mixed with my setting powder. And I've been using it ever since, but obviously you can use whatever you have. I'm going to go to the pointy end of my wet Beauty Blender and just push those creases up, making sure not to be too hard, and then with that same Beauty Blender still wet, I'm going to dip it right into that powder and push it right under the eye. using a damp beauty sponge.
Honestly, pressing powder onto my face instead of a brush or puff was probably one of my favorite makeup tricks I've learned to date and it really changed the way I do my makeup forever. I swear to God, he obviously presses the powder into his face. skin that modifies and says everything in its place But since the Beauty Blender is still slightly wet, it also melts the powder into the skin, which really helps when it comes to skin texture. The only slight disadvantage of this technique that I will say is if you are like me and have very, very oily skin, and you tend to talk very expressively throughout the day, since you are not one to accumulate it, but you are melting it into face, your smile lines and your forehead lines may start to appear a little But I prefer to have beautiful, smooth skin with some lines that mean I talk a lot And so I am very, very happy to have a skin texture in very very crunchy powder.
He is obviously a professional. /situation that you can weigh in your own mind, but I love this technique. I would definitely recommend it now that my face is all powdered and set in place. Next, obviously, is sculpting a blush, bronzer, contour highlighter, the whole shebang. But there is one thing I want to do before that and that is to give my face a good spritz of MAC Fix+ with my good, trusty fan sister at the ready throughout my makeup routine, especially after using a lot of powder. I really like to apply it with a light spritz of Mac Fix+.
I feel like this really does a good job of melting all the powders into the skin and removing them once again. Poop and then I just turn on my fan and make sure to dry it off immediately before moving on to the next step. Because as much as I love a dewy, dewy foundation, obviously having a wet face will ruin any powder products later on. our base is ready And we're looking to even have to contour because as good as our skin looks right now We're looking for a little Flat Stanley to do that We're going to use contour and a bronzer which are not the same for contouring today.
I'm going to use my Kat Von D Shade + Light Contour Palette. I really love the formula of this and the colors, and I'm going to use my Morphe M405 brush. It's like a medium sized fluffy taper and contouring brush and really lets you get right to your cheekbone. But before contouring. . In fact, I'm going to go in and tan my face using my Benefit Hoola bronzer and my Morphe M-527 brush, this is a very big fluffy brush, which allows us to apply all the color. I'm just going to dip it right into the tap because you don't want too much left in there.
But then I'm going to go right on the cheekbone and place that powder there. I'm also going to follow the bronzer up and bring it to the sides of my face and also to my forehead. Everywhere, the goal of bronzer is not to sculpt your face, but to give a very, very beautiful bronzed glow. I really want this to give a nice sun-kissed look that we were laying down and got a nice tan. If you're like me and you lie tanned you'll just burn, so tanning lotion is a very, very good alternative to that and this.
It also provides a kind of transition color between our natural skin tone and the contours that we are going to apply next. We just got a tan, which gave a lot more color and dimension to our face. But now we want to outline and the whole point. Contouring is sculpting your face by going directly to your different bone structure to really enhance your natural features. Our bronzer was obviously a warm shade, so now I'm going to grab that angled brush I was talking about earlier and dive in. mainly in this shade, but just a little bit of this one to top it off, and I'm going to be much more precise with my brush placement and that's contouring.
I'm going to imagine there's a line here from the top of my ear to the corner of my mouth, and I'm going to place my brush right here and focus the most color here. We really want to make sure that we're blending up instead of down because blending down will give us a very, very sunken, Angelina Jolie type look, which is also definitely good for more Halloween type things or if you're going for a contouring type of thing. more masculine, which is also fine, but I like to blend it upwards, which gives your cheeks a very lifted and beautiful appearance.
Again, I hold the brush up to my face, place it right on my natural cheekbone and blend it slightly towards the corner of my mouth and as you can see, this does a really good job of having an even shadow situation on contour. to the bronzer and concealer that we apply, it's like a nice fade and this gives us a very, very rounded and lifted appearance. Like I said, the goal of highlighting and contouring is to sculpt the face, so highlighting will obviously bring out whatever you're presenting and contouring will pull it back and hide it a bit.
So if you're like me and you have a lot on your head at all times, the 5head gear is in, I'm also going to use a little bit of that contour to chisel the hairline a little bit and simulate it like I was a little bit shorter. I'm also going to take this powder and sweep it right under my jawline, this shadow, and of course some facetune. It will really trick the eye into thinking my jawline is much more defined than it really is. The most common question I get when it comes to nose contouring is how do I make my nose look really slim and small?
Like Sister James, well, first of all, Face Tune will really save your life because sometimes in certain lighting, the contour of your nose doesn't look better, but if you don't you need to take a selfie in good lighting or If you have natural light, a good nose contour can really change your entire makeup for the better if you're like me. . I'm going to take the contour powder on the fluffy end of this brush and start by blending two lines at the top of my nose, above the bridge. If you're someone like me and you're trying to trick the eye into thinking your nose appears much smaller, you definitely don't want to follow the natural shape of your nose in the situation and you'll want to place the contours where you'd like your nose to look in the first place. place, so for me I'm placing this at the top of the bridge and the closer you put the two lines together, the smaller and tighter your nose will look, compared to if you put them very far apart, like in this Halloween photo of me from ago two years, the bridge of your nose will look really huge.
Making sure to blend the contour very, very lightly because you guys know my nose is definitely a trouble spot when it comes to removing foundation, but if you follow all the tips I was talking about, you should be fine. And the outline of his nose. He would seem carried away all day. I'm just going to apply a light layer of blush right on the top of my cheekbones. Making sure you don't put too much in a light wash of color can look very, very beautiful, but obviously if you put too much you can look like a circus clown and that's never the goal.
Many people in their makeup routine tend to put the highlighter very very close to the end of the routine or even at the end, but I personally have been doing it recently. Highlighter works best when there is little product underneath and the more powder you put on your face during your makeup routine, the less the highlighter will stick and the less it will shine, so once again, I'm going to take my MAC Fix+ and I'm going to give it to my face a light spritz of water, having a wet base will make the highlighter adhere very, very well and we're going to take my Anastasia So Hollywood, you know this is my all-time favorite with my Morphe M501 Brush.
I'm going to dive right into the highlighter making sure there's a lot left on the brush and I'm also going to mist that brush lightly to make sure it's really super super metallic and then they're going to be right on the Place this shade right on the top of my cheekbone and You can see how blinding it is. Oh literally so pretty. OMG, did you just see how perfect this looks? Like I said, obviously you don't need to do this, but we're going to be applying more powder and more products to the face, so I really like to add this layer of glitter to build it up later, while the face is still really shiny. really cool and kind of humid because it makes everything look so much brighter and more beautiful.
Just trust me on this one. A side note before I forget and move on when it comes to highlighting your nose, instead of using the same brush like the M501 that you use on your cheeks, grab a pencil brush or a very small brush like this one. This is the morphe m431 and it has a pointy tip, obviously using the exact same highlighter but using a more defined brush to highlight the nose, it will really maintain that illusion and reinforce just the contour because if you put the highlight everywhere it will completely ruin your the pinched nose effect, but if you put it just on the smallest tip of the ridge of your nose, right between those two contour lines, it will really increase the illusion and make it look like the bridge of your nose is literally like, barely. even breathable.
Finally, to finish our base, we are going to lightly bake our face, but since we used more powder, you already know the drill. If you have dry skin I would recommend not baking, although it is a useful step it is definitely not necessary and adding more powder can sometimes, as I said before, add an unwanted texture, but if you are like me and have normal skin or oily, baking can be a really great technique that not only helps your makeup last longer but also brightens and enhances everything, just a little bit longer. Again, using my wet Beauty Blender and dipping it into that powder, I always like to start by placing this bake right on the sides of my nose to bring out the highlights which, again, increases the illusion of a pinched nose and *pop* snatched away .
If you are someone who is just starting out with contouring or having a hard time getting the contour in the right place, I will take a little more powder and pack it just below my contour line and when I wipe it off in a moment, it will brighten that whole area and it's just going to clean up the outline, making it look a little sharper and a little more cut and swept. While this powder bakes into place, that completes today's makeup base. Next up, obviously, are the brows and eyes, but for today's video, I'm going to go ahead and do the brows off camera and skip the eyeshadow today, just because I feel like there are literally so many different questions, techniques, and products.
I like to use it for those specific steps of my makeup routine. If you want a full, in-depth video on different brow techniques, different eyeshadow styles, and my eyeliner tutorial, definitely give this video a big thumbs up and leave me a comment below because I can totally do that, I just don't wanna. We'll keep you sitting here for 17 hours because I feel like that's where we're getting to. So I'll do that and come right back to finish the rest of the look and yeah, BRB. Alright sisters, we're so close to the end now that our brows and lashes are complete, I'm going to go ahead and wipe off the batch because that's been on my face for quite some time.
As you can see, upon removing the brush, this powder did a really good job of reinforcing all those highlights underneath our contour, so it makes everything look pretty and *pop* chiseled. We just cleaned off a ton of dust that was on our face for a long time, so I'm sure you can imagine what we're going to do. MAC's Fix+ and then a fan to put everything in place and really make the excess powder melt into the skin to make sure we stay dewy, beautiful and soft all day long. Now that we're completely done with the powder and don't have anything else to add to the skin, thank goodness, I'll use a little more highlighter and boost the glow, just in case. lost for that baking powder.
So once again I take my M501 with some fix+ and just go over the areas we highlighted earlier to make sure our brightness is blinding everyone passing by. Oh yeah, that's what I'm talking about. So next in our makeup routine we have our lip-idodas and I'm sure you can already guess what the question for this is not but it is. How do I make my lips look bigger? If you've been following me for a while, you'll know that my lips have definitely undergone a very, very big transformation, definitely for the better. One of the best ways to get bigger, plumper lips is lip filler.
You might think I'm joking, but it will be completely ridiculous for me to act like I went from this to this, with just a little bit of eyeliner, because let's face it, no lipstick can do that. I don't know if I've ever talked about this on camera, but I got my lips done, I have a full vial of Juvederm on my upper lip and half a vial on my lower lip and they were done by Johanna the nurse. I'm going to put her Instagram right here, this is not sponsored, I just love her and her work.
She really had a lot of doubts about whether she should do them to me or not. I didn't want people to think she looked really ridiculous or unnatural on me, but I will say that she did an amazing job and I'm honestly so happy and much more confident with my lips once they were done. Things like plastic surgery and fillers are obviously a very, very personal decision and I'm definitely not telling you to run out and ask your parents for lip fillers, please don't do that, but if you've done your research, you've found his doctor. , I planned the finances because it can be very, very expensive and deep down you feel that it will really make you feel more secure as a person, so I would say definitely do it, but if you don't feel comfortable with it, that's it.
Totally fine, I still have some tips and tricks to show you to make your lips look fuller, just with makeup. The first lip trick I have for you today is to lightly line your lips with a lip liner darker than the lipstick shade you plan to use. This will make everything look much plumper and more voluminous. When you line your lips, I always like to start at the cupid's bow to develop the natural shape and go out just outside the natural lip line. Now, the one mistake people always make when they outline too much iscontinue outlining the entire upper lip.
You should actually take the line just above your Cupid's bow and follow it down, but connect it with the actual natural inner corner of your lip line. This will create that illusion of a fuller lip without giving it a fuller drag queen effect, which is definitely not what we're going for today. It's that simple. Here we go. When it comes to the lower lip, I wouldn't really recommend underlining it at all because I feel like the effect looks very, very strange in person and it's definitely not a true-to-eye illusion like the upper lip, so if anything, just Outline your lips as usual.
Then, of course, just apply that lipstick properly to the center of your lips and make sure to blend the lipstick with the lip liner to achieve that ombre and natural look. Now what we don't want is this really, really hard line that you can see, I definitely have clay on right now, so if it looks this crazy, don't worry, all I have to do is take your lip liner once more and just go back and blend over those edges. You can leave them like this, the lip liner will stay on all day and of course you can bring your little lipstick if you need a touch up, but if you want to go one step further and really look like that supermodel.
Pouty look, what I like to do is take an even lighter lip gloss, this is Too Faced's Melted Latex Liquid Lip Gloss, hello, and just place that gloss right in the center of the lip. Personally, I'm not a fan of putting gloss all over your lips because at the end of the day the outer corners are always so crusty and gross that you have to keep wiping them. No one wants to do that, but by cheating and only placing the glitter in the center, you're avoiding all the problems and still get that beautiful shiny look we all know and love that brings the eye right to the center of the image. lip once again encouraging the illusion of larger lips.
Finally, last but not least, the last question today is how do I maintain my makeup throughout the day, of course the question we all ask ourselves and I will want to know every day. Of course, many of the different techniques I talked about today will really help your makeup last all day, so just prep your nose, of course, by setting your face with powder and a damp beauty blender to melt it into your skin. and even baking to reinforce those highlights, but the only thing that, of course, will really help your makeup last all day is a very good quality setting spray.
My personal favorite is the Skindinavia Makeup Finishing Spray, this one claims to last 16 hours and let me tell you, no one should have makeup on their face for 16 hours straight, which is so gross and so bad for the skin, but sometimes we find ourselves in those emergencies where we need to have a full face of makeup for a long time, so I definitely like to have a long-lasting setting spray. Once your makeup is complete, make sure you wipe off all the powder and then go ahead and give your face a nice, good, very, very generous spritz.
And then for the last time today, take your fan and give it a good whirl and let the spray dry on your face and lock everything into place. Alright sisters, that's the finished look and the finished tutorial for today. I really hope you enjoyed it and I hope you learned a lot of new information. As I said before, I tend to skip a lot of things in my videos. I don't intend for it to happen by force, but I definitely want to include a lot more tips and tricks in the future because I love talking to you about makeup, it's my favorite thing in the whole world, so I really hope you enjoyed it too .
