How to add memory foam ear tips to Apple AirPod's Pro - Easy and Cheap!

Hey everyone, in today's video I'm going to show you how you can add

memory

foam

ear

tips

to your Airpods Pro, so all you'll need is a set of these from Amazon. These cost 6.99. You can get them in several different sizes or if you are like me and not sure what size you want. You can get a multi-pack that has small, medium, and large. In fact, they give you three or two sets of each of the three sizes. I've already used one from here. I actually started with the medium first and found that this with the

airpod

s makes it a little too big for my ear so I went down to the small size and the small size seems to work pretty well so let's take a look at what it looks like, as I mention.

I only made one of them already, so I'm going to make the other ear. In this video to demonstrate how it works, the first thing you'll notice is that the case actually closes. So far, if you use maybe one of the larger ones, you might not like many of the other third party ones I've seen online, they are too big and the lid of the case doesn't close, in fact. I can see here, it's a little bit see, it doesn't close at all, actually look very slowly it closes, so adding these will add a little bit of bulk, but as you can see, they are loading fine, so this one has it , not this one, so I'm going to show you with this one, in fact, I'm going to pull both out here and show you here what it looks like, so basically we're going to We're going to add this part in the middle, so we're going to keep the original pads that came with that little thing. which clicks there and all we're doing is just adding the

memory

foam

underneath and what this does.

Will it give you a better seal in your ear, so instead of putting on one of the larger ear

tips

and just squishing it in your ear with the memory foam ones, you can actually squish it down a little bit? a little bit like that to compress it, you put it in your ear like this and then as you'll see, the memory foam will expand to create a better seal in your ear, so like I said, I started with the medium eartips and finished. going down to the small ones both the small

apple

ear tips and the small memory foam ear tips and for me that equates to the medium size i had before they fit pretty well they seem to help seal a little and that's what they look like to install them , what will you need or at least in my case I didn't really find any instructions on how to do this so I figured it out myself but I just took a clip here everyone has one of these to eject the SIM card or something but in you're actually going to need this side here and that's going to help you get this out, so what you're going to do here is just reverse this like this, okay and you can continue. and take it out if you want like this and now you're going to take whatever size you want and again this is going to be like this and then this is going to go uh the flap is going to cover it well so what? what you want to do is take your little clip and make sure this goes the right way, you want, there we go, you want to stick your clip like this and you're going to fold this into white. part, you are going to fold it like this and you are going to pass it through this clip and that is going to help you pull.

See, we're going to pull this white part so it comes out the top here, so what you want to do is line it up, not down here, like this, this plastic is pretty strong, but if you don't want to pull it down here because it might break, you want . to get to the middle like this, make it crumpled there and now you're just going to pull this memory foam tip as you pull this clip and you want to get that white part over the top, now this is It's going to take a few different ones, it's going to take a little bit , you'll have to have a little patience, it may take a few tries and here we go, I've got it a little, don't be afraid to squeeze, uh, the.

The memory foam part is surprisingly very strong, but you don't want to be too aggressive with it or you might break something here. The other thing is that you don't need to cut the memory foam, I guess. You could, if maybe the larger sizes, if they don't fit, you could cut the memory foam just a little bit to get a better seal, so as you can see here, we just need to pull that up through here. this down I apologize if this isn't on camera at the best angle because it's a little bit difficult to do this here but we're almost done, so now that we're getting close, let's bring this down like this and you'll be able to want to take this black part, uh, almost to the edge so you can see where we're getting pretty close.

Let's tighten this a little bit more, maybe take your nail and pull it just a little bit. There we go and now we can just grab it like this, here it comes, pull that clip, there we go, look at that, so now remove the clip, go ahead and squeeze, you want to get the black part, there we go, lined up. so, you don't want too much, you can see that little clip there, that little hole that's what actually clips onto the

airpod

s pro, so you don't want to cover it up, you don't want to go too. far away, but you want to get it down nice and comfortable and it looks like I mutilated this phone, but don't worry, it's memory foam.

If you give it a second, it actually expands back to normal size. This is how it works, so now that we have it there, you can reverse this white part over the black part again and like that, now we have the memory foam tips on the Airpods Pro, so go ahead and squeeze that white part. cover as much as you can, you'll see a little bit of black there, but that's okay, all your friends will think you're cool because you have something different from them and now all that's left is to just put this part back on. the airpods pro like this and that's it, they install every time you put them in your ear, just squeeze them a little like this to compress the memory foam and then place them in your ear, give it a second for the foam to expand and there you go, you will have a better seal in your ear, we'll try them one more time now that I have both here, they should charge, it's a little bit more comfortable fit, but as you can see, it's charging and there.
