this

robot

here has

changed

my whole way of

life

this

is the robo rock s7 plus and this is a sponsored video but i think i've had like a hundred different sponsored offers for

robot

cleaners over the years this is the only one i've ever accepted because there are 10 things it does that really blew me away spoiler alert it's not just a vacuum as you'll soon realize because number 10 is its lasers such a fun fact i've actually been using my old robot rock cleaner for ages like four years old and it cleans up fine but the way it does it and the way most old school robots would do it is just go in a random direction until they hit an obstacle and then kind of back off a bit, try a different direction and just keep going a bit like my videos the s7 although it doesn't bump into things you will see it get closer and closer to a wall or a large object and then just hare stop he gasps and it turns out it's because he's acting.

He usually uses pulsing lasers to figure out the dimensions of his surroundings and if he uses an infrared camera, he can see them in action. It literally looks like a mission impossible movie, but it literally gets better the first time I put it down. loose in the studio i was able to see in real time how he was using his sensors to map the cleanliness of the area but also just exploring he was trying to understand the lay of the land to figure out the most efficient ways to move around the space he is in . however, because it can save that information internally the second time I dropped it on the same area, it already had a complete understanding of the entire floor plan, so the first thing it did was skirt the edges and went straight to one . corner of the floor and then he methodically made his way i thought he was crazy milo was less impressed and then actually there is a derivative of this it's not just that he can understand a room or a floor he can r remember four separate floors in his internal memory i guess in itself not entirely surprising we've heard of storage before but what caught me off guard is it will know which one it's on you pick it up and take it anywhere and as long as it's been on that floor before it will use lidar to recognize which one it is and it will just start cleaning accordingly ok so one issue I had to deal with with my last robot is it occasionally gets stuck on things you know sometimes you don't have a completely even floor , sometimes you have a wayward cat toy in the middle of your carpet so you know every once in a while I would have to go on a little rescue mission and that's kind of burned into my brain so whenever I see what Because this new one gets stuck on something I almost instinctively lunge forward like a protective mother ready to pick it up and push it away but then it fixes itself it seems the combination of sensors with these deeply grooved wheels alm Most let it know when it's stuck stuck and then goes into how do i get out of this mode now?

how this robot changed my life...

You may have wondered if there is a reason I call this a robot cleaner instead of a robot vacuum. like a normal person well it's also a mop and it's not the only cleaner that has this feature I've seen many but I've never seen it like this the way most robots mop floors is basically by dragging a wet cloth on them but the s7 has a built in water tank that is enough to mop apparently over 2,000 square feet in one go and scrubs can go back and forth in really small motions like three thousand times per minute so just to prove it this is what milo does after a hard day of well nothing to a large extent. loose and let's say in the robot vs cat game one to zero for theft Okay well don't go oh he's just sour but number five this blew my mind.
how this robot changed my life
The S7 doesn't just scrub everything it understands about surfaces. You have a small ultrasound sensor here that shoots out sound waves that you then listen to. the echo when that sound bounces off to figure out what kind of surface is in front of it, if it's raised, if it's hard, soft, carpeted, flat and then it changes what it's doing based on that response, like if I set it to go to mop my floors. it will figure out that this part in the middle is a rug, it will automatically pull up its mop change modes and just vacuum that part instead and likewise if it's just on vacuum mode if it senses it's on a deep mat it will increase the suction power so that it can get more of the dirt that is trapped inside and hey if you enjoy nasty videos like this one it depends on the channel i would rock robo rock oh did you see my best smartphone video of the year?
how this robot changed my life
If you had, you would have seen it. these pristine Winner Shots yeah they weren't that pristine behind the scenes but i literally just left this robot there and because of the great suction power when i came back it was finished ok even with all this though you may still have a situation where there's a place you don't want me to go like I have this bunch of equipment right in the back of my room and to be honest I barely trust myself to clean there because this robot has laid out the whole floor plan and understands what it is where you can draw invisible walls on that plane, it feels like building something in a game but of course once you lower one of these walls the robot will go straight towards it and never cross over and what's more Importantly, it's not just walls. but it can also be saved from falls.
They call this function cliff detection. I have no idea who is using them around a cliff, but I've seen a couple of times go all the way to the edge of a flat. ill have work to do and then turn around and carry on and just with the cleaning note really because i haven't even talked about that but this one has a pretty unusual way of doing it the way most cleaners work is bristles like this is what my old ones brush looks like however the s7 uses rubber blades and i thought it sounded a little weird when i found out but it cleans flawlessly i think whether or not it's a deeper clean than the bristles it depends on the surface but it is universally better in terms of how it takes care of itself for anyone who has vacuumed before will have experienced the stench that comes from the bristles, the fact that they trap many smaller particles within them and how much long hairs can become entwined to the point of stopping them working, the theory is that the rubber makes this less of a problem and at least from my experience I have used it almost every day for before a month now i haven't had a single tangle ok number two now this is where it gets beautiful this is where the s7 goes from being a fun novelty device to really taking a load off my shoulders programming you can set it up to that works once a day you can do it only on Tuesdays at 3pm. you can do it once an hour if it's fun like it can tell you how hard to clean the area, it can tell you what time to do which rooms, etc. and once you've got this set up, that's it, wondering what takes us to the next level?
However, is this double giant? shotgun looking accessory no it doesn't work as a security guard when off duty million dollar idea though this thing is actually the auto emptying dock when the robot finishes its rounds it will locate the stock automatically it will automatically travel to it will automatically charge and empty its internal dust bin automatically, so when you combine that with the built-in understanding of when to mop and when to vacuum and the scheduling side of things, you can suddenly fill eight weeks without even having to to do it. Think about the need to clean up, you'll just come down in the mornings and you're good to go, oh yeah, and this trash bag that you can place inside the self-emptying base is self-sealing and antibacterial, so even when you're dealing with the dirt, let's face it On the job of emptying bins, you never really need to touch anything you don't want to, so there you have it, the smartest home robot you've ever seen.
