Apr 09, 2020
Good morning guys, welcome back to my channel, it's new here, make sure to subscribe so this video is a little different than most of my videos. I've gotten so many questions about you guys, let's see how I

started

it, how did I get there? in

embroidery

and things like that, so I thought it would be easier to do a whole video instead of answering each question individually, so before I was in college, when all this

started

, everything started. I was in college, that was my last year, um, and I finished. pregnant with the meekest Riley if you guys don't know and um I was working at Target full time 40 hours a week sometimes 50 and I was doing security and obviously I was pregnant and doing security I didn't want to ask anything my husband did every time he asked anything and he said, "you didn't do it, just stay

home

, stay

home

, so I'll stay home and still go to school, obviously, but you know, not make money, and I myself don't care." I liked that he was trying to do it." I was reselling on Amazon on Amazon on eBay so it brought in extra money for me so I ended up hearing about the flea market.

I went to the flea market and that's where it all started. I have been a beautiful lady, Miss Barbara and she hit on me. She tells me you know someone who was in this area making tutus and birthday items and she made a lot of money and I thought about it and thought oh great, but as they went by, a lot of people came looking for this lady when she came out. One problem is that she and I were like, oh, maybe I'll try making tutus, you know? So I went online and found a video on how to make a tutu, so I found one for Jo-Ann to find the supplies she needed and I moved on.

More Interesting Facts About,

how i started my 100 000 etsy embroidery business from home...

I tried it and I was like wow this was easy so I made about five tutus and I took them with me the next day to the flea market and they all sold like I was like what okay so I guess this works so I started to ask. I also make the shirts with the names on them and I say no and a lot of other things I heard was you know she was charging so much money but she wasn't doing um she wasn't embroidering she was making the hot press garments , people were saying things were fading, but they were paying 200 bucks for these sets, so I told them: listen, in my opinion I don't even need to charge you for a 200 liter ball, so I tried to find something else, so I went . online and it's a research where I select something that doesn't fade and that's what I found, the

embroidery

and I had no idea, but I didn't embroider anything at all, so I found Pamela Sterling Styles' video when I was having the Alwyn, that was the first one. video that I once saw with Pamela and since then I watch it every day, every day, so it was almost three years ago when I started watching Pamela.

I started watching her videos and watching her videos, you know, she just described a lot of things and you could see the machines that she had and then she had them in the description with stabilizer, she just went to do a lot of details, so everything she had can be find on Amazon, so I went to Amazon and bought the machine, the PE 770. Now they don't make it. On Amazon they sell a P/E 800, which will obviously be a newer machine because it's been three years, so I would understand. I'm currently looking at it right now.

It's 570, if you can. I can't find the P 770, you can try to find it, but this is the only thing I see on Amazon on the five Sundays right now, so since it's what she was using on almost all of them, I could say that at least 80% of each embroiderer starting out. they start with this machine and I would start with this machine too if you're new and would like to start embroidering so I watched their videos and decided to, you know, make little sayings on Wednesday, so I was strictly doing Wendy's in At first I was doing little sayings and they would sell too, but I thought, oh wow, this works, this is working, so I'm making completely different tutus.
I went there to sell my bath and my body in the trade secret, not children's clothes, and you know. I thought, well, this makes money, so why don't I stop spending my time there every weekend for about a year? People started asking for bigger t-shirts and all that, and I was like, "I don't make it boring and this little machine." It's not going to work, no, because it's 5x7, which means it's the 5 inch by 7 inch area that you can sew, embroider, sorry, so she told me to order bigger and bigger shirts. I don't like it, well, I need to find them. something bigger so I looked online and went looking for another machine like the Brother P 770 that just had a bigger embroidery size so I don't think I remember it was bigger so I found a dealer and they had it and It was like $5,000 and I was like, yes and no, no thanks.
I know, but my husband had seen this machine next door. I think there's no way I wouldn't know how to use it. It looks so scary. My God! God, the other day we decided to buy this machine, but we didn't get it from that dealer, we just looked at it, I looked it up on the Internet and everything so that they don't take it back to the flea market and it's legitimately my husband. He works five days a week He went to the market every Saturday Sunday Saturday Sunday He worked so much seven days a week at the market Please you had to be there at 6:00 a.m. m. and you couldn't leave until 5:30 so you were there the whole time otherwise they would find you and it wouldn't be cool to find you for not being open on time so we would love that machine and these machines weigh about 100 pounds.
We love the machine, it's all the supplies, all the things. to make tutus I have made teachers in the moment I do things in the moment you know because that's where the money is you know so I said: I need you there is no need to earn money I'm not working I'm working in the on the weekends I still went to the full-time school, we have a newborn baby, she needs diapers with formula and everything, so it was more out of necessity than pleasure, but when you start to see people's reaction, some things you achieve. It was like, oh, I like doing this, you know, people enjoy the product that I'm giving them and they find equality, so I really like that aspect of it, so what I'm doing for about a year until I felt comfortable leaving the koomer and do everything directly online I was running both at the same time I started at sea but I was still in school I was in college so I have a full time school job working at the flea market every weekend so I legitimately don't The seven days a week I had was very busy and my husband, who already worked five days a week, also had to come play my trophy on the weekend because it's obviously not the safest thing, so I did it and once I turned I felt comfortable trying to do it alone in the sea and I got my time back because at that time my husband's mother had my daughter for five days, she runs a daycare so I had Fridays a week, but also on the weekends, so he had his seven days, seven. days and you know people get exhausted, you know you get tired, so I thought, "I'm sick of this." I graduated college, so I was like, "Okay, schools are out, schools are out of the way," so that's a huge relief, so I have a lot more. time, so I left the flea market and put everything online on Etsy, so it was a little tricky at first.
I didn't have a lot of orders on Etsy to get started with the p800 brother um it was very beginner friendly and like I said Pamela was using it and it was easy to watch her videos and you know follow them and you know it made it a lot easier so which thanks to Pamela and I legitimately told my husband the whole time that if it wasn't for Pamela's videos I would. I have and I thought he didn't bring it, he did a great job explaining it in the video of her. I learned everything from Pamela, that's legitimately the truth.
Her YouTube is excellent. Styles, many of you already see her, so she hey, you would already know. That's why I learned how to embroider and then from there, you know, I just acquired my knowledge through trial and error, trial and error, orders. I didn't end up getting this machine here as the first machine because the P 770 does have to hold up and take care of it and monitor it, this one you didn't, you can leave it with just the shirts, as long as they are big enough, except as rompers, you should keep an eye on them, but that's what I did and then a few months later I figured you can.
I don't see it, but I can't get this one, this is a six needle machine and then I think three months after I bought this one, I bought another six needle machine and that's what increased my iodine orders. An invitation from Amazon. this and they invited me to join their Amazon handmade section so I took it up and there's how I got the second one why I bought it because I was getting a lot of orders and I'll do another video on pretty much how. I got a lot of sales when I started on Etsy. Some tips I have.
I find them. Do it right now because I'm dressed. Riley is sleeping right now, so I decided to do it early. It's only seven o'clock and I keep saying, "I'm going to make this video and I keep letting you know, being a mom, things happen that I've been looking to do my bidding, you know, things just happened so I probably won't do it now, well , I had the opportunity to edit them as time becomes available be sure to subscribe for more content more videos you know anything embroidery I'm always answering questions so you know thanks for watching guys be sure to subscribe.
