How I Started my $100,000 Etsy Embroidery Business From Home
good morning guys welcome back to my channelÂ
it be new here make sure you subscribe so this video is gonna be a little different thanÂ
most of my videos I've gotten so many questions  about you know let's see how I
started
it how did I get intoembroidery
and such so I thought  it'd just be easier to make a whole video versus answering each question individually so before I I  was in college when all of thisstarted
everythingÂstarted
I was in college that was mysenior year  um and I ended up pregnant with meekest Riley ifÂ
you guys don't know and um I was working at Target  full time 40 hours a week sometimes 50 and I wasÂ
doing security and obviously being pregnant and  doing security I didn't want to ask anything myÂ
husband ed whenever asked anything he's just like  you didn't you got just just staying
home
just stayhome
so I'm stayinghome
and still go to  school obviously but you know not making anymoneyÂ
and me myself I didn't like that I was trying to IÂ Â was reselling on Amazon on Amazon on eBay so bringÂ
in extra money for myself so I did end up hearing  about the flea market I went to the flea marketÂ
and that's where everything
started
I've been a  beautiful lady miss Barbara and she hinted to me that you know somebody who was right in this area  did tutus and birthday items and she made a lot of money and I thought about it I was like oh cool  but asthey went by a lot of people were comingÂ
to find this lady when issue an issue where is  she and I was like oh maybe I'll try making tutusÂ
you know so I went online and found a video of how  to make a tutu so I found one to jo-ann's foundÂ
the supplies that I needed and went ahead and  tried and I said wow this was easy easy so madeÂ
about five tutus and I took them with me the next  day to the flea market and they all sold like IÂ
was like what okay so I guess this
does work so  like me was
started
asking me also do you make the shirts with the names and I'm like no and a  lot of the others things I was hearing was that you know she was charging so much money but she  was not doing um she wasn't doingembroidery
she was doing the heat press items so people were  saying stuff fades but they were paying $200 for these outfits so I'm like listen I don't need to  even charge you 200 liter ball in my opinion so I triedto find something else so I went online  and it's research in which I pick out somethingÂ
that wouldn't fade and that's what I found the Â
embroidery
and I had no clue butembroidery
absolutely nothing so I found Pamela's video  sterling Styles when she was making the Alwyn see that was the first first video I ever watched  with Pamela and since then I watch it every single day every single day so it was about almost three  years ago when I firststarted
watching Pamela IÂ
started
watching her videos and into her videos  you know she just she described a lot and you could see machines she had and then she had it  in the description with stabilizer she just went to do a lot of detail so everything that she had  you pretty much can find on Amazon um so I went to Amazon I got the machine the PE 770 now they don't  Southern at Amazon they sell of a p/e 800 which is obviously gonna be a newer machine because it  has beenthree years so I would get that is I'mÂ
currently looking at it at this moment is 570 if  you can't find the P 770 you can try to find itÂ
but this is the five Sundays only what I see on  Amazon at the moment so because it's what she wasÂ
using in almost every I could say at least 80% of  every embroiderer who starts out they start outÂ
with this machine and I would start out with this  machine as well if you are new and would likeÂ
to get into
embroidery
so Iwatched her videos  and I decided to you know make little sayingsÂ
on Wednesday so I was strictly doing Wendy's at  first I was doing little sayings and they wouldÂ
sell too but I'm like oh wow this works this is  working so I'm making tutus completely differentÂ
I went there to sell my bath and Bodyworks in the  trade secret not children's clothing and youÂ
know I was like well again this makes money so  why not I cut spending my time there everyÂ
single
weekend for about a year um people Â
started
asking for bigger shirts and all stuff and I'm like I don't do it dull and this little  machine it's not gonna work on don't cuz it is a 5x7 meaning that's the area of 5 inches by 7  inches that you can sew embroider excuse me so she was like ask for bigger and bigger shirts I  don't like well I need to find something bigger so I looked online and I went to find another  machine like the brother P 770 thatwas justÂ
had a bigger
embroidery
size so I think it was  like I don't remember it was bigger so I found a dealer and they had it and it was like $5,000 and  I'm like yeah and no don't thank you I know but my husband had seen this machine next to it I'm  like there's no way I don't know how to use that looks so scary oh my gosh so at the other day we  decided to get this machine but we did not get it from that dealer we just looked at it I lookedit  up online and everything so they don't take himÂ
back to the flea market and legitimately be my  husband he works five days a week he was coming upÂ
the market every single Saturday Sunday Saturday  Sunday he so much he worked seven days a weekÂ
in the please market you had to be there 6:00Â Â a.m. and you could not leave until 5:30 so youÂ
were there the whole time otherwise they'd find  you and everything not fine to find you for notÂ
being open on time so we
would love that machine  and these machines are about 100 pounds we loveÂ
the machine they're all the supplies all stuff  to make tutus I've made teachers on the spot IÂ
make stuff on the spot you know cuz that's where  the money is you know so I was like I need you noÂ
need to make money I'm not working I'm working on  the weekends I still was going to school full-timeÂ
we have a newborn baby she needs formula diapers  and everything so I was kind of out
of necessityÂ
more so than than a like it but you know when you  start seeing people's reaction some things youÂ
make it was like oh I like doing this you know  people are enjoying the product that I'm givingÂ
them and they find equality so I really like that  aspect of it so that the thing I'm doing that forÂ
about a year until I felt comfortable to leave the  koomer and just do everything straight onlineÂ
I was running both at the same time I
started
at sea butI was still in school I was in collegeÂ
so I have a school full time working flea market  every weekend so I legitimately didn't burnÂ
seven days a week I had I was just so so so  busy and my husband who already worked five daysÂ
a week also had to come to play my trophy on the  weekend because obviously it's not the safest youÂ
know so I did that and once I became comfortable  with trying to do just at sea and I won my timeÂ
back because at this point my husband's
mother  had my daughter five days she runs a daycare soÂ
she had Friday's week but then she also had on  the weekends so she had her seven days seven daysÂ
long and you know people burn out you know you get  tired so I was like I'm sick of this I graduatedÂ
college so I was like okay schools done school's  out the way so that's a huge huge load off so IÂ
have a lot more time so I left the flea market  and just put everything online on
Etsy
so he was a littletricky in the beginning I didn't have a lot  of orders on
Etsy
to begin with the brother p800 um it was very beginner friendly and like I said  Pamela was using it and it was easy to watch her videos and you know follow along and you know it  just made it a lot easier so thanks to Pamela and I legitimately told my husband is all the time if  it was not for Pamela's videos I would have and figured I hadn't brought her she did a great job  explaining it in hervideo I learned everythingÂ
from Pamela that's legitimately the truth her  YouTube is sterling Styles a lot of you alreadyÂ
watch her so hey you would already know so that's  why I learned how to embroider and then from thereÂ
you know I just built my knowledge based on trial  and error trial and error the orders I didn't endÂ
up getting this machine right here as the first  machine because the P 770 he do have to hold andÂ
babysit it and monitor it this one you
didn't you  can let it just the shirts go as long as theyÂ
were big enough except like onesies you should  watch them but that's what I did and then a fewÂ
months later I got guess you can't see it but IÂ Â got won't get this one this one it's a six needleÂ
machine and then I think three months after I got  this one I got another six needle machine andÂ
that is how much my orders did increase iodine  an invitation from Amazon this and they invitedÂ
me to
join their Amazon handmade section so IÂ Â did accept that and there is what how I got theÂ
second one why I got it cuz I was getting a lot  of orders and such I will be doing another videoÂ
on pretty much how many sales I got when I first Â
started
onEtsy
any tips I have um I find them do it right now because I'm dressed Riley is  sleeping right now so I decided do it early it's only seven o'clock and I keep saying I'm gonna  do this video and I keep gettingyou know being aÂ
mom things happen I've been after do my orders you  know stuff just happened so I probably don't doÂ
it now well I had a chance and edit them as time  becomes available make sure you subscribe for moreÂ
content more video you know anything
