store

okay Christmas market with Bay but it's cold very cold Christmas market yeah I got Christmas in California Wow okay that's interesting that's like open to interpretation do you that means you get to go
to California to model this I am going to Texas next is fancy Christmas dinner okay do you have one of those to go to yeah actually Austin's work party I guess would be like the fanciest one so we use this look exactly okay and New Year's Day brunch oh that's a good one it's not like the night it's the day after yeah I love that for me okay great so we're gonna go shop for these looks and pull some drifted items together because guys you know it's better than Black
Friday shopping this works something

thrift

store

shopping because reduce reuse recycle okay I got fancy dinner and summer get outside cold maybe I'll check out sweaters first like they're seasoned okay this isn't sweaters but jackets are also interesting if you're gonna be outside Penny Lane oops me okay hire me I can pick up the clothes on the floor it was like weirdly Christmassy I don't know it's forever 21 like valuable now that you can get it anymore so hard I
don't want to just do like a dress it's boring needs to be like some outreach this isn't my prom dress but this is basically my prom dress can we like insert a photo here cuz this is hilarious fun I feel like my fancy party is just turning into like New Year's it will spread sorry hyped for Canadian brand's logo I just found I found Babbitt on Wilfred both of its CEO brands both here at the thirst or because people are crazy as throwing away things say this must be a new
style then I also need sunglasses for my New Year's Eve outfit morning outfit he'll be hungover the biggest ones to hide the hangovers okay these are all my options of shoppers with it big holes and we have a way to make it warmer all right with my two questions this is totally real Chanel right and also are these like too much on them to be more it's too small my boobs really somebody's like highschool sewing project but also

from

80s I was for doing an ugly dress challenge
and I could give this to Becky this is a dress and like can someone explain this I can't it's like this random spiky boy just cuz but this part is really pretty so maybe there's like something I kissed you there hey June why you attach this you're gonna rain on my christmas market date night not Christmas in California nailed them that's exactly they're certainly not they have to pay for $10 but nobody has to know okay once you're in you're good okay yeah this is
so funny cause I'm actually going to Texas and I can model my outfit in Texas ever attended popcorn II used to made for walking this is IV even though I doubt it's real again okay successful truck dropping ship why do my brain do that shopping trip can't make this up okay so the first one I'm gonna tackle is the category Christmas market with Bay so this is a big thing we have in Toronto but I'm sure they're everywhere else it's basically just like an outdoor wintery
event where you can go look at cutesy Christmas things to purchase lots of food drinks that kind of stuff and like I said outside and in Canada so we're gonna be a little chilly for this date night so I am prepared so let me talk you through all the things I got at a

thrift

store

so first thing I picked up were these pair of jeans I feel like you can't go wrong with good jeans when you're outside walking around these were 549 and by the way these prices are in Canadian which is maybe
why they might sound a little expensive that's just their

store

s like the prices are going up and we need to stop rent control on

thrift

store

prices so you might be wondering um Becky there's holes in the pants and you're outside in the winter don't worry I got half I got hack for that stay tuned next thing I picked up was this pink chunky sweater this is $8.99 and like this is my favorite sweater I've ever attempted the sleeves are so cool it's like this ribbed
chunkiness and it's not really a pink it's like a blush love that okay this next thing you guys you guys this is like I think one of my favorite thirst or finds ever it is this jacket it was $21.99 and like you cannot tell me this is the host Penny Lane jacket ever it's like so perfect insert in photo here and then look at this jacket and tell me it's not like the vibe it's so warm and cozy and it's not real first so we stand and I'm really happy about this one now
who Footwear I found these boots they look pretty much brand-new they were $12.99 and they I don't know I just like it good food in the winter can't go wrong and I wasn't sure if I wanted to do like a bag with this look or not but I feel like it low-key is practical if you're out of the market you're probably buying things you're gonna want to have wallet phone all that stuff with you and then I saw this in the bag section it is like a fanny pack felt bag we're still
doing those right I still think they're really cool they're practical trendy and this is like very convincing I think it's a fake coach big I don't know it's definitely not real because they're only turning $12.99 for it but I think it's pretty good it's still it's a good friend named a little buckle protector on it pretty much everything here is good to go good to be south but the one thing I aim to do why are those ripped jeans okay so for the rips of denim
holiday outfits from the thrift store
I still like that look a lot but I want to patch the holes so I still keep that ripped look but then there's also a patch which will keep you warm so I'm not being eyes remember what DIY this was

from

but this is a sweater a fleece sweater that we got at first or last year a while ago for a previous DIY you can leave your answers in the comments below as to which one if you remember what's wrong but we kept the remainder of the sweater because we thought we might use it eventually
and today is that time so what I want to do is just cut out basically patches that will cover the rips in the jeans and I'm gonna put them underneath so that you can still see like the fleece through the ripped jeans and it'll keep you warm and I think it'll actually look really cool so I guess the first step is measuring out how big I need these patches to be compared to the rips that are in the cheese very straight cutting job at me because this one is in the knee I need to make it
not so tight because when you bend you want to be over your knee this does have stretch though which is pretty good which your need to be bending this way okay so I can always cut down any extra after oh my god they're so cute already so I'm going to pin this in place using something and then okay so I want to just like you know loosen it a little bit I think that will help and it's good to go so I did think about fabric gluing this on but I am worried that it's gonna make it
like stiff in that area where you actually want it to be flexible because you're walking so instead I'm just gonna use a needle and thread and sew around the patch to hold the fleece on wait why does that the riff and the pants look like the state of Texas does it Texans are offended they're like no it doesn't okay looking good so the last thing to do is to flip it inside out you can see the pattern that I stitched and I'm just gonna cut off all this extra bit because if we
don't really need it and it just gonna make the jeans chunkier than they need to be nice we did it on this one as well okay so this is how my DIY Sherpa Jean patch turned out I think these are so cute and they look so cozy so in total all of the pieces the jeans the jackets and the boots it was only sixty two dollars and forty-five cents that is incredible I would spend more than that on just the jacket because the jacket is so nice let alone the entire outfit okay so I'm excited to
share with you guys my Christmas in California outfit and button fact I'm actually going to Texas very soon so I can actually model this in California aka Texas but still warm climate you get the gist okay let's start with a dress because that is what I found first and then want to base everything else off of the dress so the dress is this a very cute flowy dress but it's red and it has lots of green details so I feel like even though it kind of could be spring or fall or summer I
feel like it still kind of feels Christmasy because of the print it's such a good fight I love it the only thing is that it is very tight on me it looks very awkward so I need to figure out a way to DIY it and like something so that my chest didn't have room to like breathe and be the way she is naturally not compressed and this dress was $12.50 so if I think of the dress I know that I needed some shoes or something I didn't want you wedges or sandals or anything because that's
too summery so then I was thinking the boots I was looking at boots couldn't find anything I literally said if I could find cowboy boots that would be the vibe I found cowboy boots even though I know I'm modeling this in Texas but it's California I think the cowboy boots still work and these were 15 dollars so then I of course I need to accessorize so I picked up this little collection of necklaces and I'm planning to kind of DIY to Bay because I don't like the current vibe
and this set of necklaces was $8.00 I was also thinking California sunny gonna need some sunglasses so I picked up these very classic Cali girl sunglasses for $5.99 but the thing is that they have no like nose pads so I'm going to figure out a DIY solve for that and then lastly because it still is a little chilly and I didn't want the whole look to look to fall or summer I picked up a coat here this is a girl's coat but it's very cute and is foe and it is also $20 so let's
get started with DIY in this dress to make it fit me more appropriately so I think my plan for this is especially because it has these little ties at the top that means that I can cut the back low therefore making room for my boobs and this little tight the top will make sure that things don't slide off your arms oh my gosh oh my god I look like one of those you know those medieval ladies really like shut their boobs oh my god now I know why did they did that because they didn't know how
to sew pump her shirts oh my god is so tight I literally I can't put it over my cuz I can't look at my arm honestly I think just cut it oh my god okay just like that oh yeah oh man go ahead don't try this at home also don't buy dresses that are too small for you alright okay thank you okay now that that is cut off of me I honestly don't know how I got that on and off at the third serving says that it was so tight so let me I do now is cut straight down to meet kind of like
almost a square back and I'm gonna end the back where the nice little lace detailing is so my first step is to cut it out and then I will hem it okay so what I did here was actually a zig a stitch I just made the zigzags very close together I made the zigzags very wide and I just went on the fabric and off of the fabric that made this nice kind of like faux serger edge which just meant that it kept the phrase in without me having to do any kind of like rolling hem or pinning just because my
holiday outfits from the thrift store
fabric is so light so I think I'm done now for upcycling this dress I'll have to try this on to make sure that it fits a little bit better but I'm confident that I can actually get in and out of it now so next up I have my necklace here it is a three chain necklace I think that instantly this one chain is just so thick and not cute so I'm gonna cut that baby off Mobin so I think I want to add something to this chains that I have like a layered chain look that's that one's
regular plain chain and one has a pendant on it I can either use feather off of here but let's see what else I have huh these are like little little jewel containers oh just yeah we have some wishbones here we have a little crystal these are probably all old DIYs this little guy it's like diamonds on one side which I don't love as much but on the other side it's just kind of like a circle which is really cute so I'm gonna put it on backwards and hopefully the Diamonds just
don't flip around but if it does honestly it's not beyond the world but I really like this simple side it looks like a little Italian okay yes much more comfortable that's a safe well on the little metal pieces that you would normally screw a prefab that means prefabricated nose cushion - I actually just took some hot glue and just slowly built up a little pads there so you know it's nothing too professional but low-key it does just look like a prefab nose cushions I can even
tell is that idea why I don't think so so all together with the boots necklace sunglasses dress and coat it was $61.50 and let me know what you guys would do in the comments below if you pulled California and Christmas Kritika Christmas in California because I was a little stuck on how to not just make this look like a summer outfit I was like how do I bring the Christmas without it being like a bikini and a Santa hat I don't know let me know what you would do in the comments below
all right next up we're gonna tackle the fancy Christmas dinner outfit so I'm assuming that this is like a really nice work dinner or like a special fundraising of the I don't know something really fancy that you get invited to that you got a dress up for so let me know all you what I picked up for this so this DIY look I think it's gonna involve a lot of DIY and alterations but I think if everything goes to plan it shouldn't be too difficult so the first thing I got was this
dress which was 1049 and I do not love the sleeves I do not love the length of the dress but what I love so much it's the top of it this kind of like I don't even know what it's called like structured pattern is so pretty and the color I think is really beautiful stay tuned CY plan is for that then I also pick up this skirt which was $9.99 and it's just kind of like a slinky stretch material but it has this gold Fleck on it but I think is really pretty it looks really elegant for
shoes I picked up these strappy cutout shoes there with $10.99 and again these feel basically brand new which is a steal and I like that they have go over love them I think that'll match the skirt nicely and the last thing I got was a bag so this outfit I couldn't decide between like a fancy clutch or this one but this is a bit more modern this is like the haul of like knock-off designer items for me today this I think is supposed to be like the YSL blogger bag makes it like a Gucci
thing but you know what it's gonna work although I just realizing now it doesn't have straps so we're gonna have to sort that out somehow beauty and she is Grace and pointed shoulders everything okay so pretty much the only thing I wanna keep

from

this dress is the structured top part of it so my first step is just gonna be cutting away all the things like no I don't want to use what even is a size 66 also ninety nine one of those two we don't know comment in the comments
what is this size also like choices for the inside fabric maybe they need no you think this is a nice egg they're like I'm gonna make my own dress and make up my own sizing that way no one can feel bad about the size they were because they don't understand it anyways hi making progress this is more than an inch but I just want to be safe I can always make it shorter you cannot make it longer wise words

from

someone who's messed up many times Justin photographing this like you can
always make it shorter yeah yeah quote me on it remember how we were talking with a Lego shop about how I hate peplum and created a publisher oh so what I ended up doing was chopping off all the lace

from

the top and then I actually cut the dress so it wasn't a dress anymore and it end up being like this little crop top thing but then I had to hem the bottom where I had cut it and although I'm like actually pretty proud about my hemming job it looks really good I don't think
you'll see it anyways because my plan next is to put the skirt over top and it'll kind of have this illusion of like it's one dress even though it's two pieces the only thing with this skirt is it's quite a bit larger than me but I think it's gonna be really easy to fix this because it's so stretchy and forgiving I think what I'll just do is take in the sides a little bit know a little bit better right she cute so top is done skirt is done and the last thing to
fix up is the bag because it's my second chain so this is gonna be really simple I'm just going to use some gold chain that we have in the office and two little lobster claws to make a chain that I can clip onto this bag okay cool I feel like you want it to go who's wear it like this like a like a shawl just drape it over I feel like you want it to be like here for thigh high that feels right right okay bag is complete that was actually a very simple fix and it's looking great so
when we add the bag with the DIY top and the skirt and the shoes this entire fancy Christmas dinner event outfit only cost me thirty five dollars and forty six cents that is like not even a third of the price of a really nice dress at a

store

so I think we scored on this one okay so for my New Year's brunch outfit I'm really excited about it cuz I found some really good pieces but I will apologize that I'm not doing really any DIYs but that's just because the pieces were so good
so let's start with this sweater as soon as I found a sweater I was like this is it I need to find an outfit to go with the sweater so this is a Babbitt ohm sweater and yeah I mean I think this color works on me it's a little bit bold but definitely a beautiful cut sweater beautiful materials so I knew that I wanted to use this letter since I found it oh how much was it how much was it you asked it was $13 when honestly this was probably originally like well over a hundred okay and then
I have my pants honestly I don't know what came first the chicken or the egg or the lilac sweater or the pan stripe with a lilac feature but when I saw these did they work perfectly together so I just couldn't not they are a little thin so I was like hmm how's this gonna work but you just wear your good old long johns under them and I think you're good to go honestly long johns under flowy pants is a lot easier than long johns under jeans some tea for thought but these pants here
she bought she liked hi I'm new year new me and these are only $9.99 so love that for me yeah they are quite bold it is a bold outfit but I have the black accessories to tie it all together and that's talked to me by the first section I wasn't planning to really pick up a purse but I saw this / slash backpack / like satchel bag I don't know it's cool it was $10 and I think it'll you know really just casual at my outfit because I don't want to be too fancy if retainers
brush something that will also casual up my outfit are these sneakers please don't come for me in the comments I know it's winter I know I should be wearing boots but I actually found these Yves Madden little sneaks and I was like I will actually wear these and I need some easy slip-on sneakers so I picked these up I'll just wear thick socks with them it's definitely not a slushy day so I can foresee the future and these were only ten dollars and I want to keep it casual cool
comfy on New Year's you know today New Year's Day and then lastly I picked up these little ray-bans a shape I think was just kind of casual and cool and you definitely want glasses when you're hungover on New Year's brunch day and these were real ray-bans I believe because it says made in Italy I got the logo on there a couple of times they're looking chic the only thing is that they're a little you can tell they're like it's like wide I'm high single DIY
project will be to tighten my sunglasses a little bit so they're not so wide but yeah I think they're cheap but the the third

store

knew that they are real because they price about $20 which was like a little bit expensive but worth it I think for some real rate bands that are real cute so let's quickly fix those and then I can reveal my New Year's Day French look to you do they look cool yeah is that racist to wear them gotta ask our Chamberlain haha or Nicky yeah baby so now
I'm really open so they're sure so all together this whole outfit cost $63 let's see how much it looks like it's worth mm-hmm that's smart thank you oh I like it they look pretty legit right yeah I'm gonna be keeping these now all right I hope you guys enjoyed this video challenge we've done it in previous years so if you want to see a style more themed
