items
in the box that we have to use to create somedecor
ation or diy so im so excited to open this box natalie from designs the nines sent me my box so I'm going to open that up and then I sent my box to Courtney from Creative on the cheap. I'm going to linkyour
video below so you can see what I sent you so let's open this box it's in a long box so I'm a little intimidated to see what's inside so let's open it right first thing is a little card the first item in this box is this stack of wood it comes in a pack of four these are really cool I'm so excited to use these and this time in the mystery box we decided to just make 15items
it doesn't have to be just a dollar tree usu friend we do all dollar tree obviously you can use dollar tree but we can go out of the box and only spend fifteen bucks on our mystery boxes all the time so i know i didn't say that but here we go yeah woodpile these are great i cant wait to make something with this so itwill
be easy so i have a little crown this is super super cute i love it ok a ribbon that is super cute , so I'm really excited to see what some of this stuff is oh wow this is really cute this is super cute I don't even know what I could do with this I'll probably just keep this as it is it's so stinking cute I love that it's like a little glass jar with a string which is very cute what else is there some boxwood greenery we can always use thatwill
be very easy what are these book rings? the book sounds early, so I'm really excited to do something with these paint mixing sticks, okay?So where are they? I know they were. I'm pretty sure they're at Walmart, but I asked the guy when I went to buy paint at Walmart. Where were the paint sticks? and he gave me a bunch for free but I kind of
want
ed to send them off I'm so excited to use them it's all wrapped up nicely oh some terra cotta pots little ok so I saved the challenge items for last oh no , I don't even know what this is, but I love this wrapper. paper that's so cute um oh no what is it you don't know what it is preston is there ok this might actually be cool ok um oh ok it's like a spindle this is really exciting um this is ok this is ok I'm really going to have to think about this but that's me ok that's not really what I thought oh and there are also some crafting labels here or some little ones what are these chalkboard labels?Oh my gosh ok so this is a challenge item this is one of the items I have to use and then here is another enge item challenge oh they are little birds ok um you know these aren't the most cute or not the prettiest color but I definitely think I could do something with these so I'm not actually going to lie. I'm actually kind of excited about wearing these so I have an idea so I'm really excited about these right now but y'all, that's what's in my mystery box like I said Courtney's video is will link below so you can see what i picked for her and what she created with all those items one of her mystery items is super horrible and now i feel bad but i have some easy stuff so thanks natalie for sending everything . this is over and also thanks for not making it too difficult for me so guys let's move on to the diys first diy i will use the terracotta pots you sent me in the box and make this nice wall piece so the first thing you will need is this wavelet chalk bread ink and any kind of mark this was saved actually i think it was my moms and she would sell it or get rid of it so i took it off her hands i filled this with this actually it's a white wood filler that's all i had on hand but i'll be painting so i didn't mind some frames and then some scrapbooking paper from the hobby lobby so these frames were from dollar tree and I'm going to tear them apart because you don't need the backs.
I actually saw Nicole from the nest of the week do something. super cute with these frames so I'll link his video in the description box below but he gave me some good inspiration so yeah I was really excited to make this I'm just going to grab the back of the frames to trace them on the scrapbook paper and then once I cut the scrapbook paper I'll just glue them together and just use a glue stick it works great for me and then you'll put them back in frames anyway so guy in the frame holds scrapbook paper so you don't even need to glue these on if you don't
want
to I'm not using the glass because it definitely wasn't necessary and I'm always afraid of having glass hanging around the house in case the nerf guns hit it kids run up to it so yeah actually a lot of my stuff that's hanging on the walls right now isn't glass so now I'm going to use these terracotta pots and just dry brush them with a little bit of wavelet chalk paint in white and i'm not going to show the paints i'm going to use because honestly i'm only using two different paints, waverly chalk paint, ink, waverly chalk paint and white, those are the only two paints which i use throughout this video so if you wonder what paint i use for different diys it's just those two comehome
once you travel the world all spaces paint the longest sign black and i didn't show it alone because I thought it was just an easy extra step that wasn't necessary to show let me know in the comments below if you like to show step by step but sometimes I feel like painting is just a bit boring to watch so I try to skip the parts boring unnecessary ones and then I just use my hot glue gun and glue these frames right onto the sign and then I'm just going to take my terracotta pots and I'm going to glue them to the center of each of these frames also using the boxwood and I'm going to separate this you see those pretty little toes on the side my little daughter Presley was helping me and she just helped me separate the boxwood because we didn't need the stems and it comes apart super super easy and I just put the whole thing that in some terracotta pots and we actually used a whole boxwood huh stem or bunch whatever we want to call it but that's really all I did here and just used some command strips to put it on my wall and I love this. crown painter sticks and burlap lace and i'm going to be m I took this cute little house sign so the first thing I did was use these paint sticks and I ended up cutting off the side that wasn't even and then I took my paint of wavy chalk in white and i painted all the paint bars white and you could definitely do other colors i think black probably would have been super cute or like the greens whatever matchesyour
house i thought this would match my house perfect, so that's what I chose and then while I'm waiting for the paint to dry I'm using this wreath and some boxwood greenery and I'm just going to separate this so I'm actually using the boxwood for two different DIYs and actually i used it all i'm just taking my hot glue and wrapping the boxwood around it i actually did i ended up making more than what you see here because it just wasn't full enough it just looked so sad and it just didn't look to how I wanted it so like I said I added another row on top of this to make it fill out more once the painter's sticks dried. and i just flip them all over and then i'm going to take some craft sticks and glue them to the back to hold them together um that's all i did here uh you could definitely use some wood glue or something but honestly this holds it everything super super cool and not all of them lined up perfectly but I actually liked it because it reminded me of the flip of the ship when there's a little bit of gap in the middle so I definitely loved the way it turned out though when you flip it, It wasn't 100 perfect because some of the painter's sticks were a little off and then and now I'm just taking my wreath and sticking it to the sign and then like I said you'll see here that this was still a little bit empty but towards the end you'll see that i made it so much better i just used my cricut and found this house on cricut design space it wasn't any kind of font it was just a pre made decal. in layout space and I'm just putting that right over the top of a and then I had a dollar tree love sign heart left over and I always keep some of this stuff lying around because you never know and then I end up gluing it to the side and then i decide to use some of this lace and place it over the top to make it a cute little hanger and that's it for me once you travel the world all the spaces inside your heart three i'm actually using one of the items from the challenge are these birds i actually had a birdhouse i bought at a garage sale this summer i paid a buck because it was kind of shabby so i ended up taking it outside to sand it down and then i couldn't get it all stained completely, but it was as smooth as I could get it and then I'm just painting the base of this or it's not really the base it's kind of a medium I'm painting that white with a white wavy chalk paint and it was a little hard to get to the top, but I think once it's settling in you can't even tell especially if you're just going to use this as adecor
piece.I could see if it was hanging from a tree huh and then I'm just going to use the black on the wavy chalk paint in ink and paint the roof of this and the base of this birdhouse you're the traveler I just used a little wooden dowel that I had of the dollar tree and I painted it black because it had a hole in it and then I took some hot glue for the bigger hole in the front and added a little bit of moss in there this is just the Spanish moss from the dollar tree and then I added the two birds these birds were my challenge elements.
I'll be honest with you if I didn't have this birdhouse handy. I have no idea what I would have done with these birds. I thought I'd paint them and then I chickened out and didn't paint them because honestly I didn't I don't know what they would look like or if the paint would stick or how they would turn out so I just left them as is and I think this is so cute I ended up adding the chain in the top. I did not do it. paint it I didn't do anything with it because I just liked the ugly rusty shape it was it's like a good ugly not a bad ugly next DIY I'm going to use the mason jar and binder rings and be making another cute little sign me love it this is one of my favorites this coffee sign was a second hand lid this is a little mason jar and then some wood filler to fill these holes and i just wiped it clean with white waverly chalk paint and ink and I'm also using some small jenga blocks.
I took six of them and painted them black and then I'm going to glue them to the top and bottom of the cafe sign which I paint white and I thought this was just doing as a really nice little border, it gives it a bit of modern vibes from farm but also just a regular farm and just you I used some hot glue to stick them on and they actually fit 98 the way there is a little hangover but I thought it looked really really cute and barely noticeable to Unless it honestly looks pretty damn close, but you'd have no idea about that. there was a little hangover but i love these i haven't used jenga blocks or these little tower blocks that drop in a long time from the dollar tree and i had a few left over so i thought i'd just try to use some items i already have laying around these clothespins dollar tree valentines day and i just glued them in the center they are nice thick ones i was going to use the chalkboard tags i never used and i use spray paint and the binder rings i will tell you if you don't they do it doesn't work don't use spray paint or at least don't use the place walmart color spray paint because it didn't work that well but it gave me a bit like rustic vibes so i left it as is and put some greenery on it from boxwood f rom walmart and here is the national sign as a DIY.
I'm going to use challenge item number two, which was the spindle, and I'm going to make a cute little
farmhouse
table just using the waverly chalk paint in ink and I'm going to use these little ones. wood slices too and i painted all four black but axis down so i don't know what it was at first but right now it's 22 inches long to make the table. I also painted this shaft with the waverly chalk paint in ink. and i wasn't sure if i just wanted to stain it or if i wanted to go with the black and white theme but i love the black and white vibes i always get so i definitely had to paint it black it's just and my husband caught some of these for me.I just got this one, this little round of wood in the garage, it's actually 19 inches wide and I'm just painting on top of this white to tie everything together that I'm going to use. Surebinder Professional Glue Sticks says it takes three minutes toall dry and i ended up having to keep everything together so if you do end up using these just make sure you keep everything together. definitely if you wait if you do everything just wait the three minutes it's definitely worth it and then I'm putting it all together it's very easy first I made the base and then I used the shaft and then once it was all dry and together I found the center and then I added some extra hot glue around the bottom someone flipped this over anyway you saw i painted the top and bottom of the wood round white because i knew you would see both and this is what it looks like when it's done it's actually very resistant to be a shaft.
I love how it turned out but guys that's it for my video. I hope you enjoyed it.
